I'm falling.
I'M FALLING.
I'M FALLING FOR CHRIST SAKES WHAT THE HELL WAS THE GAME THINKING?!
[Aim for the pile of garbage.]
WHAT GARBAGE? I DON'T SEE ANY PILE OF GARBAGE? Oh wait, I SEE ONE! I NEED TO SWEVE THE AIR TO IT!
I was falling from the sky at a high speed and I could clearly see the town right now, London. Least, that's what I think it is BUT I NEED TO CONCENTRATE ON THE PILE OF GARBAGE!
I then concentrated on aiming for the pile of garbage, a couple seconds later I landed. Painfully.
[Heavy damage sustained! -750 HP.]
Your fault for dropping me from the sky, game. Great, I need something to heal myself with…
I slowly and carefully stood up from the pile of garbage I landed, but I couldn't move my body really well from the damage. My vision however, was starting to clear up.
Once my vision was clear enough, I looked around my surroundings. I was in an alleyway, cliché. I then slowly walked forward while grunting painfully until I noticed a dirty chocolate bar on the ground.
I picked up the chocolate bar and looked at it to see if the [Gamer] was going to say anything about it.
[Item Found: Dirty Chocolate Bar]
I wouldn't think about eating that chocolate bar if I were you, but it's better than nothing so just shove it up in your mouth.
Effects: +50 HP with possible illness.
Like the game says, better than nothing…
I wolfed down the chocolate bar and I could feel my body healing just a bit.
[Eaten 'Dirty Chocolate Bar'!]
[+50 HP, no illness gained.]
[HP: 300/1000]
…but it wasn't enough. Least I didn't get any illness of some sort. I continued to move forward to my way out of the damn street. Wait a minute, a street?
…Wait a minute, ah shit I WAS IN FUCKING OGRE STREET! It was obvious enough because of the dark and black atmosphere around me and there's even a dead body hanging around.
Isn't this where Jonathan fought Speedwagon and somehow changed his entire nature? But if that's the case, then this city is a cesspool for thugs and bandits! No wonder there was a dead body.
[Quest Alert!]
[Escaping Ogre Street]
You're in Ogre Street, and that means trouble. Get the hell out of there.
Rewards: [Running] Skill and +5 DEX.
Thanks for the quest and the possible rewards, but I really gotta get the hell out of here before I meet any thugs. I can't afford to fight right now.
I started to run to find an exit out of Ogre Street. I hopped over trash bins, dead bodies, and many more junk I saw in Ogre Street.
I ran for a like a minute or so until I finally found an exit, thank god! I then stopped running and began walking for a bit. But then it was starting to rain…
…Wait a minute, rain?
The first cutscene of Phantom Blood had rain, but maybe I could be overanalyzing…
…And as soon as I said, the atmosphere around me turned green and purple which did scare me a little.
Well shit, I'm guessing I'm near the crash. Wait a minute… I'm not just near the crash, I'm LOOKING at the crash and I haven't even noticed!
I quickly scrambled to the crash area as I quickly ran to the man himself.
[Name: George Joestar]
[Rich Trader, Level 0]
George Joestar the First. The man who technically started the entire goddamn series.
I didn't want to, but I didn't wanted to take any chances either so I did a quick CPR on George, George spit out some water and blood one me but I didn't care much.
[Skill earned: CPR]
[Level: 1]
[5% faster and effective CPR.]
Thank you game, very informative.
I continued to do CPR until George suddenly woke up and grabbed my hand.
"…You- You came to save me… Thank you."
"I- Er, I actually only saw the crash and just came here. Is there anything I can do to help?"
"…My wife… My wife and son… are they alright?"
"…I'm sorry, Sir. Your wife's dead, but luckily she saved your son from the damage. The driver's dead too…"
Jeez, just saying that aches my heart. This guy must've took it rough, I'm surprised he even gained consciousness right now.
George put his head onto the side and shed some tears. "Perhaps this is fate…"
Both George and I were silent for a couple seconds before George interrupted the silence. "I must thank you for saving my life. Please tell me your name while I am still conscious."
I didn't-, Ah screw it. "Nick Rye, sir."
"Mr. Rye, the Joestars will not forget our debt to you."
[Title earned: The Mistaken Savior]
[Effect: You are mistaken as a savior.]
Mistaken Savior… fitting.
['Escape from Ogre Street' has been finished! You have been given [Running] skill and +5 DEX.]
[Skill earned: Running]
[Level: 1]
[5% faster running and 5% decreased stamina use when running.]
[+5 DEX given.]
Least I got a basic skill and some DEX, but what do I do now?-
[Quest alert!]
[Take care of George and Jonathan]
As the name says, take care of George and Jonathan for the mean time. Try finding a nearby trustworthy cabin.
Rewards: 2500 XP.
Neat, at least I've already got a simple goal in my mind for now. But where the hell am I going to find a cabin? But first, I needed to get Jonathan out of the stupid vehicle.
I walked to the vehicle and took a peek in the passenger seat to find a crying baby, Jonathan. I picked up Jonathan out of the vehicle and dragged George along (I can't carry George for christ sakes, I'm only 12.) with the suitcase that had the vampire mask.
As I was trying to walk away from the crash while dragging George, I suddenly heard a voice behind me.
"HEY KID! THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY PREY! GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!"
I looked behind me only to see the very man, the very man that made Dio into... well... whatever he was. Oh yeah, and there was also that woman from a bar...
[Name: Dario Brando]
[Poor Civilian, Level 0]
[1000/1000 HP]
[Name: Lisa Applegrass]
[100/100 HP]
[Civilian, Level 0]
Adrenaline was starting to rush in as I noticed the knife Dario was holding, I didn't like the sound of this. My health was pretty low, I don't know if I can afford to fight right now.
"DARIO! STOP!"
"NO! THAT KID'S JUST GOING TO GET ALL THE LOOT FROM THAT RICH ASSHOLE! I SAW IT FIRST!"
This dumbass, no he didn't! But how does Dario already know that George is a rich guy? Oh wait, the ring… The ring must've caught Dario's eye. It's pretty small though, how did Dario notice that?
I placed down Jonathan besides George for now getting ready to fight, Dario prepared his knife as he charged at me.
[Quest alert!]
[Fight Dario Brando!]
Well, shit.
Rewards if you kill Dario: 5000 XP, Dario's knife, and your first kill.
Rewards if you knock out Dario: 5000 XP, Dario's knife, and +5 STR.
THANK YOU GAME, VERY INFORMATIVE BUT I'M TRYING TO FIGHT.
Dario swinged his knife at me but I dodged just in time, I went for a kick at Dario's leg which I (somehow) managed to trip over Dario.
[Damage inflicted onto Dario! -25 HP. You have tripped Dario.]
Dario fell to the ground as I gave him a hard kick to the head. Dario grunted in pain before losing consciousness. Nice, I didn't kill him luckily.
[Damage inflicted onto Dario! -75 HP. You have knocked out Dario.]
…That was relatively easy, even a baby could've beaten Dario honestly.
['Fight Dario Brando!' has been finished! You have been given 5000 XP, +5 STR, and Dario's knife.]
[Level up to Level 2! 10 skill points given.]
Dario's right hand then dropped the knife as I quickly took it and hid it in my pocket.
[Took Dario's Knife]
Lisa scrambled to Dario and grabbed him by his arms. "I'm so sorry, Dario's probably drunk right now. But to the point he would harm a child…"
"Don't worry, Miss. Let's just forget this encounter ever happened, yeah?"
"Yes, I suppose that is the best."
Lisa then slowly walked away while dragging Dario, I looked back but I also didn't know where to go. So I turned back again to ask her for some directions.
"…Actually, before you go. Do you know if there's anywhere, we can stay at? I'm trying to find a cabin I can take shelter in for now with these guys."
"I could let you guys stay for a night."
"…Yeah, I think that would be good. What are you going to do with Dario though?"
"Just going to leave him in his house, that's what I usually do when he's drunk like this."
"…Huh."
Hopefully she has food, can't have Jonathan starve.
