Muhōmono
A meeting is being held in the center of the village. In the meeting, there are two shinobi conversing. One of them with long red hair and a pointed red beard. His eyes shining a bright blue in the room with a traveler's cloak covering his body. The other man in the room is clean-shaven and has short spiked brown hair. The man inquisition has a katana strapped to his back and is in battle armor. The man with the red beard is the leader of the Taiyo village. The leader is flipping through a bingo book looking for Kana the leader. The leader wants to confirm his suspicions of the Muhōmono gang infiltrating the village.
Pointing down at a picture of Kana in the bingo book. "Did you see this man walk into the village?" The leader ordered staring directly into the eyes of his now unrecognizable leader. The young shinobi never saw his leader like this before, with this crazed bloodlust look in his eyes. Kana the Swordsman, a strong ninja from the mist and a very hard ninja to take down. A rogue ninja from the mist with an A-Rank rating in the bingo book. He has a strong lighting affinity and a weak water affinity. He's weak in genjutsu but makes up for it with his strong kenjutsu and strong ninjutsu, specializing in mid to long-range fighting. Using his sword as a focus point to shoot lightning out at far range but using his sword if a shinobi got too close. With his large chakra reserves and his fighting style, no sane shinobi would want to fight the man.
"Y-Y-Yes Gin, I saw him with five other people enter the village and each head off in different directions." The young ninja stammered out nervously, glancing between the paper and the leader of his village. "One went down into the Taiyo Marketplace. Two went down to some stores on the left road and disappearing into one of the alleyways. The other three went down to the Tengoku hotel where it looks like they checked some of the rooms.
"Why didn't you tell me this earlier." The leader growled out slamming his hands on the table. "Round up every Shinobi in the village and tell them to come to meet up on top of my residence. " The leader yelled out to the ninja. "And don't forget to put some of our ninjas stationed at the bank. Make sure they don't steal any money from our bank." The ninja puffing in response to gather all the other ninja in the village.
Sitting down the leader mussed if this was the right idea. Certainly sending his ninja to their doom, the ninjas don't have any chance of surviving. But would it be worth it, if successfully killing the gang would bring make him rich? Six or Seven million ryo for all the gang combined would set him for life. Spending the money to build a big house and getting whatever he wanted. All the women in the world. Oh yes, this is the needed sacrifice for the village these shinobi will have to die to make this village better. Sending them all in and tiring each ninja out, once they're out of Chakra, he'll swoop in and kill them. Then convert this village from a ninja village to a tourist attraction with the famous Tengoku hotel and the Taiyo Marketplace. The fame and the fortune he would gain for killing the Muhōmono, he'll be famous.
Getting up from his desk and heading out of his office making his way down to his personal quarters. Making his way over to the closet in the corner of his room, opening it and finding his battle armor. Stolen from a dead Samurai captain who tried to kill him a couple of years back. Polished to make it look like a brandnew, he always loved stealing their belongings from the people he killed. And keeping them to remind him of his past triumphs and to show to fellow shinobi he never lost a battle. The sword of Kana will complete his collection and finally be able to retire in peace with all the fame and fortune after this battle. Putting the battle armor on and grabbing kunai and shuriken sealing them into his arms. Exiting the room and walking to the rooftop of the building fully assuming that every shinobi will be on top of the building awaiting his orders making his way to the roof. Walking to the front of all the shinobi and stopping directly in front of the whole group beginning to start his speech.
"Men to my knowledge a group known as the Muhōmono has made their way into our village. What is the Muhōmono you may ask? They're a bunch of rogue ninja scum who abandoned their village to live as nomads. Gin yelled out to the group of ninja listening to his speech. He surveyed their faces to see their reactions. Surveying to see if they were paying attention and to see their emotions. Disgust, anger, rage all crossed their faces some whispering to others while some staring directly at him waiting for the next words. "These bandits kill for pleasure for their own personal gain, they don't kill for any village only for themselves. They walk around these streets dirting them corrupting them. They stay at the famous Tengoku hotel corrupting it and they visit the Taiyo Marketplace as some tourist would. And touch our women like they own them. So are we gonna let these scum leave the village alive.
"No commander," all shinobi in the crowd yell out in unison. Everyone shinobi's face filled with disgust and rage all anxious to kill the trespassers. And bring glory to the Taiyo village and their commander.
"For Taiyo," the commander yells throwing his fist in the air.
"For Taiyo." The shinobi yell back rising their fists in the air. Before all disappearing and heading over to the Tengoku hotel to deal with the scum.
Gin watching the shinobi all disappear with a smile soon starting to form on his face. After this battle: the sword, the glory, the fame, and the money will all be his and he will live the rest of his life in luxury. All these shinobis pawns just for him and just like every other ninja village in the Elemental Nations. Soon he will have his sword and have eternal glory for bringing these pests down by himself.
Haru awoke to sounds of explosions out on the street and people screaming. The sounds of battle being heard from out of his window. The sounds of jutsus hitting buildings, roads, and people. Enemy ninja yelling at one another obviously trying to calm other ninjas down during the massacre outside. Shinobi screaming out in pain before going quiet only leaving a thunking noise to tell their fate. Haru jumped out of bed running around his rented room collecting all his stuff littered across the floor. One night he was just wanted one more night before sleep would become scarce with the stunt they would pull with the leaf. Always keeping their guard up until the attention died down and the village focused on other rogue ninjas. After collecting all his stuff and sealing them into the sealing tattoos on his wrists, he shunshined after to the building across the hotel. Dead ninjas littering the ground, painting the road red. Some having tiny holes in their bodies while others being cut up and spliced. In the middle of everything were Kana, Akio, and Asa all standing on a raised piece of land. With red water swirling around them creating a whirlpool. Hands reaching up from the whirlpool and grabbing enemy ninja when they were jumping around. Dragging them down into the pool where they disappeared only to appear a few minutes later floating at the surface. Water jets occasionally shooting up from the water and slicing enemy ninjas body parts off. All being controlled by Akio going through hand signs and waving his arms controlling the water. Kana standing behind him shooting lightning from his sword. The lightning looking like a long needle piercing the enemy ninjas chest and going directly through the ninja. Once fully through the big electric needle exploding into smaller needles shooting off in random directions. Or shooting one long lightning bolt and controlling it as it pierced enemies before finally disappearing. Crouching in the middle of the two was Akio unsealing chakra pumpers from his wrists. A chakra pump stores chakra from a host, so later in a fight if the host is running out of Chakra they can get one of these canisters and inject themselves they'll receive a chakra boost. But overuse can permanently damage the chakra coils and can decrease the host's amount of chakra. A genius invention made by Asa a few years back.
Landing on the roof of the building, watching as more ninja kept on dying a countless death. What was the leader thinking these ninjas are not equipped to face us. All of them at most are of a chunin skill level, it's like pigs to slaughter. Some men having passed their thirties while some just classify as a man, countless lives could have been saved if this leader didn't order an all-out attack. The leader must have known these men were going to get slaughtered, but this was not the time to think about bad leadership skills. He needed to go in and help the group.
A voice broke through the fighting," Haru go find Benjiro and Benji and bring them here. We need to escape before any more reinforcements come." Kana yelled locking eyes with Haru up on the rooftop. Understanding his job Haru turned around and starting running from rooftop to rooftop looking for any of the two. A quiet whistling sound soon started filling the air quickly ducking Haru moved out of the way of a kunai. A kunai with wind chakra enhancing it would have easily killed him, leaving one big hole in his head. Turning to his attacker, who was standing across the rooftop with three other ninjas. All of them either high-level chunin or low-level jonin, confident and cocky enough to give their position to an enemy. Confidence and cockiness kills ninjas, just these four haven't learned their lesson yet. Pulling water from a nearby fountain making sure to hide it from the four watching shinobis. Using the darkness of the night to conceal the water as it moved up and formed into tiny little water needles. Forming hundreds of tiny little water needles and letting his control over the fountain water fade, dropping the water on the ground.
"Oh did the little bitch wet himself?" A female voice mocked standing in the middle. The one who threw the wind enhanced Kunai that almost took off his head. "He must be shaking in his wittle baby boots because he can't hide behind his boss anymore." The women staring down at Haru looking at Haru like a piece of meat. "Oh, I'm gonna have so much fun with you after this battle. Just you and me."
Losing their patience the ninjas attacked jumping over the roof to meet their kill across the alleyway. Using the lack of mobility to his advantage he shoots the water needles at the group hoping to kill them now, so he can return to his search. Only one of the ninjas got hit by the attack and it was the women, the others Kawarimied. The vocal ones were always the ones to first die in a fight, they spend too much time talking and not enough paying attention. The other three ninjas didn't look like talkers, a shame he always liked the talkers. Once the other three regained their bearings they all attacked: one coming from the middle, one coming from the right, and one coming from the left. Kawariming with a box left behind in the panic of the attack. Creating water and spewing it from his mouth to crash against the shinobi to create some more time. Deciding to try to lose the ninja because he would never be able to fight three good ninja at the same time. Creating a couple of water clones and sending them off in random directions and he himself also going in a random direction.
Before he could start his search again a hand grabbed his ankle and threw him into the plaza with the fountain. These ninjas are definitely jonin almost all chunin would have fallen for that trick. Sent Flying off the roof and landing into the fountain of water. Landing into the ice-cold water of the fountain feeling it freeze his body. His lungs inhaling the ice-cold water freezing his body all over. Getting picked up and thrown into one of stores through the glass window. Feeling some of the glass shards pierce his back as he was sent flying into the window. Rolling to a stop when his back hit the store wall feeling the glass shards go even deeper into his back. His lungs badly bruised, hurting each time he took a breath. His eyelids growing heavier and heavier seeing the faint outline of one of the ninja walking into the store. The dark concealing him for the time being as he unsealed a kunai from the right wrist. Instantly appearing in his hand he quickly put hide his kunai up his torn-up long-sleeved shirt. Making a loud wheezing sound to alert the ninja of his presence in the store, following the noise the jonin soon found his target lying against the wall. Deciding to finish the job he reached down to grab the half-dead boy and strangle him, once he picked him and started strangling him the boys eyes flew wide open. Not realizing the boy was about to kill him he let a small smile form on his face, his boss would give him a lot of money.
A squelching sound permeated throughout the store as the kunai pierced the man's neck instantly killing him. Dropping to the ground falling down as the man landed with a thud. Slowly getting up, Haru tried to remove as much glass pieces as he could from his back. Once he was satisfied he made his way to the door dragging his feet getting ready for the next fight. Instead of meeting the two enemies, he met both Denji and Benjiro standing over the two ninjas. The one laying below Benjiro had his neck snapped and had a look of surprise on his face and the one laying below Denji had a kunai piercing his neck with no reaction at all.
"Good job Squirt," Benjiro exclaimed as he saw Haru make his way out of the store. "But you don't look so good," he chuckled.
"Benjiro we need to stop messing around and we need to go return to Kana. We need to get out of this shithole before more reinforcements arrive and we die." Denji stated seriously looking at Benjtro before his gaze traveled to the boy. He was quite proud of the boy for taking down two ninjas of the four ninjas that ambushed him when he was running around the city. This boy has some serious potential, no wonder Kana seems to love having the boy in the gang. The boy collapsing under the exhaustion and the injuries he suffered in the battle. Benjiro catches him as he is falling to the ground and puts him on his shoulder before they start making their way towards the big trail of smoke in the air. Both reaching their destinations in seconds and spotting Kana standing all alone surrounded by dead ninja and Akio and Asa nowhere to be found.
"Kana, where are Akio and Asa," Benjiro asks while jumping down the building and joining Kana and Denji.
"I had Akio and Asa go to the village bank and library to steal so much as they can. There's no way in hell that we'll be able to infiltrate the leaf village with all this attention. We've captured too much attention from this little debacle. Kana explains stopping every once in a while to catch his breath looking at both.
"That's an understatement, we're going to have the full wrath of a leaf on our asses after this one. " Benjiro snorted while looking around for any more ninjas that may still be alive. "This is an ally of the leaf and we just destroyed it. We probably just killed all the ninja population, so this town is soon going to be deserted. All the civilians are going to flee to Konoha. Konoha gonna jack up our bounties by a shit ton." Benjiro looking all over the streets amazed and disturbed at all the death he sees.
"Well look who it is, the group of scum who just destroyed my village." A voice from a rooftop interrupted. "But I have to admit you did put on quite a show for me to watch."
"Who the hell is this guy," Denji muttered under his breathe scanning the rooftop looking for the voice. Finally finding a silhouette standing on top of the Tengoku hotel. Narrowing his eyes as he gazed upon the nonmoving shadow, what kind of bastard likes to watch his men get slaughtered. He can't wait for this sick bastard to die one less demon in the world.
"You don't know how long I've been waiting for this moment to finally kill you Kana. That sword of yours to finally top of my collection" The man yelled down his voice gleaming with excitement.
"I don't even know who the hell you are," Kana yelled back at the man finally finding him standing on top of the hotel. Pointing his sword up at the man and firing a quick lighting bolt at the man causing the man to jump down to avoid the shot. "Damn I tried," cursing under his breath as he looked at the man now running towards him.
"You're going to have to do then that Kana." The man yelled booming out laughter as he engaged Kana in a taijutsu battle. Kana swinging his sword in wide arcs as the leader dodge left and right. Having enough of the defense the man jumped back and started launching fireballs and fire dragons at Kana. To counter Kana spewed water from his mouth creating a water wall. The jutsus collided creating steam that covered the whole fighting arena. Kana launching blind lightning shots into the steam hopping to find the target but having no luck. Coming out of the steam from nowhere the man landed a punch on Kana sending him skittering across the ground.
"Getting tired ah, My plan did work after all. Then I guess it's true that people do crazy things for love." The shinobi chuckled advancing on Kana as he was getting up. The only response from Kana was a twitching of the eye and a clenched fist. Using his sword as a balance stick to help him get up and get back into stance. Seeing Kana struggle the Denji and Benjiro both tensed getting ready to save their boss but a simple glare told them not to interrupt the fight. Also seeing the man struggle to get up the man dropped his guard and started gloating. "Do love anyone Kana? Perhaps anyone in your gang? I'm not talking about any family I'm talking about partner love. Because after this I'll go and find them to make them mine."
Kana tensing and his eyes narrowing in anger as he made a dog hand sign behind his back. Seeing the reaction Kana gave him, he boomed out laughter, then just stopping mid-laugher. In the blink of an eye, Kana traveled the distance ripping the man's heart out and throwing it to the ground. Turning around to start walking to pick up his sword letting the man fall face-first into the blood-filled streets. Reaching his sword and ripping it from the ground and sheathing it behind his back. Finally the exhaustion overcomes the man and he collapses but Denji's there to catch him before he hits the ground. Both Denji and Benjiro run through the village quickly making their escape and running into the forest where they can hide out for a little bit. Just until Kana wakes up and can tell them the location of where the next camp is going to be.
"Let me get this straight, the village Taiyo was just destroyed all in one night." The Hokage exclaimed, eyeing the young ninja standing in front of him looking for the signs of a prank. "All of it destroyed in one night just up and gone. Nothing left everything destroyed. "
"Well not everything was destroyed. Most of the citizens survived and the building survived. But almost all the shinobi stationed in the village died, only a few shinobi survived by going into hiding." The young ninja nervously stammering out sweating under the Hokage's hardened glare. Avoiding eye contact and staring behind the Hokage looking through the window. "The only damaged area was the area around the famous Tengoku hotel."
"Who are the culprits?" The Hokage's stern gaze burning into the ninja making him even more nervous than before.
"We-We think that the culprit is the Muhōmono gang," The ninja stuttered out. "When a shinobi team went to investigate the smoking village. The team reported that they saw bodies littered all over the streets near the Tengoku hotel with other buildings surrounding it destroyed. "They estimated the casualties were around 100 deaths and no injuries. All slaughtered."
"What about the leader, Ikari Sai," Minato asked, hoping for some good news.
"Dead, he was found with his heart ripped out of his chest and lying face-first on the ground." The ninja replied.
With the wave of Minato's hand the shinobi was dismissed. The ninja leaving the office quickly heading down the halls. Minato didn't know how to deal with this gang, all of them were pests. They cause chaos, steal something and then disappear without a trace for months. Then popping up somewhere else in another country somewhere else. Hiding out deep in another country, so no village would pursue them. Because if a village enemy shinobi they would go to war. Too much tension in the world to cross another nation's borders. The hunter nin unable to catch their scent. This gang was good and a nation would have to use a lot of resources to capture them. So the best option would be to increase the bounty on their head. If the gang thought that he would forget about this crime they just committed they were surely mistaken. He will never forget and the next time he hears about them in fire country he will make sure that this gang will never leave this country alive.
Minato grabbing the most recent copy flipping through the pages looking for any identified gang members. Kana the Swordsman, Asa of healing, Akio the assassin, Benjiro of fire, Denji of wind, and Haru of water. But Minato stops flipping at the sight of Haru's picture. A boy around the age of 12 stares back at him. Probably Kakashi's age now with a strong water affinity. Weak in tajitsu and weak in genjitsu but very strong in ninjutsu. Still young enough to maybe leave the gang and join the village. He would be very powerful if he joined the village. If he ever got word that the gang was in Konoha, he would go deal with them himself. A quick pest extermination. But for now he would wait for their next move and act accodingly.
