Chapter two
"Are you serious Billy? Those files into the wrong hands can lead to a lot of trouble with whoever they will be going after? Just after I had recovered from the last incident with the Syrians, Billy."
"Currently Pentagon officials are checking every avenue with who might have been involved. Even though they suspect it's been the same two jackasses stealing from other Government buildings. Hopefully, someone on the streets will be able to come up with the Intel in order to stop them. But in the meantime, I need for you to watch your back as with Amanda?" Billy needed to say to his friend and best damn agent for IFF.
"I will try Billy," Lee said when Amanda came down the stairs to find Billy standing in the middle of the living room.
"Hey! What's going on?" She was wearing her blue pajamas, robe, and blue slippers to match.
"Trouble Amanda! Two men broke into a vault in the Pentagon having taken personnel files for IFF, and we are working on trying to find who they are Amanda." Billy says with a tone that Amanda didn't like one bit at all.
"Does this mean that everyone needs to watch their back sir and including myself?" she made the suggestion with the question.
Rubbing his chin for the moment. "Yes. Listen I need to be getting home now after signing out at IFF after I am supposed to be working all night. I had called my wife to call for Chinese food before getting home." he slated with his words before leaving out the front door with the cold air Amanda was feeling.
What Billy didn't know was the fact that the same two men stealing the files had others watching out for Billy Melrose and others in order to try and take them out.
Getting into his vehicle in front of Amanda's house. Lee looked out the window to see a strange black SUV moving slowly that Billy didn't notice.
"AMANDA CALL THE POLICE RIGHT AWAY!" he quickly ran to the hall closet for where he had hidden in the back a rifle filled with ammo keeping it out of view from the children, Dottie, and other visitors.
Running out of the house. He called out to Billy waving when he had noticed the vehicle with someone out of the back window. When Lee fired four times at the shooter, window, and tires having the black SUV crashing into a fireplug one of the very last around.
The driver tried to run away. When Billy had gotten out of his own car with his revolver in hand to fired over his head to stop. The driver speaking in the Syrian language for which Lee was able to understand. "I am not giving myself up!" he said with popping some type of poison into his mouth taking effect quickly to be falling to the cement street.
Sirens could be heard coming down the street having to be the fire truck, Metro police, and an ambulance.
Billy Melrose and Lee Stetson with their I.D. and badges were able to talk with Captain Lawerence needing answers as to what exactly was going on. While Amanda had stayed inside the house with the nanny to make sure that Lee jr. and Daniel were fine.

"Do you mind telling how you were able to tell what was going on Agent Stetson?" Captain James Lawrence needed to say with not believing his story for the most part.
Lee was feeling slightly uncomfortable in front of Billy. He was talking to another officer going over his story that was basically going to match.
"Looking out the window I was able to see the shooter hanging out the back window. This is when I ran to grab the rifle hiding inside the closet in the living room. I called out to Billy to get down in order to take him out, as with the window and driver to crash into the fireplug. However, the driver was able to get out talking in the language of Syrian."
"Okay, it's a good thing you were able to save your boss's life?" he had said with slight sarcasm walking away to talk with his partner telling him what was said by Melrose.
"Are you done with me, Captain?" Lee said with needing to get inside the house feeling cold and with his wife Amanda needing answers.
"Yeah, I am Mr. Stetson. I suggest that you stay available in case of further questions?" he replied giving Lee a bad taste in his mouth.
Billy Melrose was done as well disgusted needing to call his wife to let her know why he's going to be late. "Lee, I just don't like this at all with the shooter coming after me?" he rubbed the back of his head from the tension of the past hour. "I am going to pick up the Chinese food to go home, I need for you to get inside the house and relax. Just make sure that Amanda understands the situation?" Billy said with wisdom in his demeanor.
"I will be sure to tell her about the entire story. She knows when I lie most of the time, and I don't need any further trouble with the marriage?" Lee stated with a grimace on his face.
Walking inside the house by locking the front door and putting away the rifle with removing the ammo into the box hiding into the back entrance he had made.
He was exhausted and needed to check on his family before going to bed. Turning out the downstairs light. He headed upstairs to the nursery to see them both asleep along with the nanny sleeping in her bunk bed with her computer having been turned off.
Afterwards he walked into the bedroom to see Amanda sitting up working on her own laptop drinking some of her diet iced tea. She looks up to see him with a strange expression on his face. "Were you able to settle things with Metro police?" she needed to say to her husband.
"They seem to think Amanda that Billy and I were lying somewhat as to what exactly had happened?" Lee said with removing his clothing placing them onto the chair before moving into the bathroom. He was able to hear her response for which really didn't please him all that much feeling slight disgusted.
