"You mailed the invitation to my brother?!" Hisashi said.

"Yes," said Inko as she filed her nails. "Like you said you would. I figured you'd try to duck out of sending it, so I did it myself."

"But me and him are not on good terms! We…We have strong differences of opinion."

"But he's still your brother, right? This is a big day for you!" said Inko. "Besides, you always said you wanted to see him again and you both love each other, right?"

All for One scratched his cheek as he tried to think of how to tell Inko he might have undersold their rivalry a little.

Inko sighed and said. "If it makes you feel any better I invited my brother too…"

"That does not make me feel better!" Hisashi said. He pinched the bridge of his nose. "When I said I'd love to see my brother again, I was under the assumption that it'd be when we weren't trying to kill each other."

"Dear please. Stop exaggerating. Besides, if he tries to start a fight, me and Mitsuki can tell him off for you."

Good. His brother would deserve that scolding. Or facing Inko's rabid Pomeranian. Or both.

"But I don't want you starting anything either. Understand?" said Inko with a stern look.

Hisashi sighed. "Yes Inko."

"So, your brother is getting married?!" said Second.

"Yes, I already said that," said One for All as he looked through the closet, trying to figure out which suit he should wear. Luckily, they had several lying around for formal events.

"And his bride is doing it willingly?" said Sorahiko.

"Obviously her parents screwed up royally…" said Nana.

One for All ignored them.

"And you're actually going to it?!" said Second.

"Of course, it's my brother's wedding. I can't miss that…"

"And you're not arresting him…why?"

"Because that'd be rude!"

"And he'd go on a rampage and cause mass destruction if we tried?" asked Banjo.

"That too!"

Second sighed. "And we're coming too?"

"Only if you want to, but I think it'll be fun!"

"This is so stupid…" said Banjo.

One for All pretended not to hear him. Instead he said, "But if any of you do come I want you all behaving. No trying to deck my brother (no matter how much he deserves it), starting a brawl, or anything else!"

"What's the point of going to a party with alcohol if you can't deck someone?" said Sorahiko. And that is why Nana always did the talking when the cameras were on them (public trust was very important for Pro Heroes, especially in the early days and Nana could at least pretend to be well adjusted).

One for All found a suit that looked good and laid it on his bed. After that he pulled out his brother's invitation.

Something had been bugging him about his brother's fiancée. Inko Midoriya. She was short, had round green eyes, and black hair partly tied in a bu-

Wait…

One for All looked up at Nana. Then down at the photo. Then back up at Nana. Then at the photo. "Hey Nana? This is off topic, but what name did you give your daughter again? After you gave her up to protect her and her brother from that mob boss you were chasing?"

"Inko? I gave her the last name Midoriya. Why?"

Oh no.

"Your brother isn't using that as his last name is he?!" Nana said.

"No, no he is not," said One for All, "Just curious, nothing to worry about, I gotta go do something real quick." He set the invitation down and walked away while Sorahiko began mocking Nana's naming skills.

"Hello?"

"You're marrying Nana's daughter?!"

All for One groaned. "Oh right. That."

"Yes brother. That. Care to explain?!"

"If it makes you feel any better I didn't actually know who she was until long after I started dating her," said All for One.

"Oh really? You expect me to believe you didn't run a thorough background check on her before you started dating?!"

Hisashi scoffed. "Of course I did! I just didn't find out that she was Shimura's daughter until the second, more thorough, background check when I decided to propose. (Shimura actually did a decent job hiding her)."

"You expect me to believe that you found the daughter of one of my teammates and decided that she of all girls was the one you wanted to date and marry by complete coincidence?! That's crazy!"

"Correct," said Hisashi. "That is also exactly what happened."

"I don't believe you."

"Are you accusing me of not being trustworthy?" said All for One.

"Am I wrong to do that?"

"…Touche," said All for One, "But if I did want to torment Shimura through her daughter, don't you think I'd do it in a way that's more…villainous? Like kidnapping, torturing, and/or murdering her? Or even manipulating her into a life of crime?"

His brother started to respond but Hisashi continued, "And If I did decide courting her was the best torture for Shimura, don't you think I would have loudly gloated to Shimura about it instead of keeping you in the dark until Inko sent the invitation?"

There was a long pause on the other end. "Oh my gosh you actually found her on accident."

"Really? That's what convinces you?" said Hisashi.

"Not my fault you're so smug that you not gloating is completely out of character," said his brother.

Hisashi growled.

His brother was quiet for a long moment, then said, "Do you actually love her?"

All for One paused. "What?"

"Do. You. Love. Her? Or is this some sort of game so you can act normal for a while?"

"Please," said All for One. "I wouldn't waste this amount of time or effort for an attempt to play normal. Especially not after only a few years of villainy. (And if I did I certainly wouldn't use my real first name),"

"Does she even know the real you? Or did you just walk up and give her that suave Mr. Charming act that everyone eats up?"

"I tried, but I experienced difficulties. Leading to her learning of my…"you" interests. Ironically she liked that even more…"

"What are you-You choked and confessed your secret nerdiness to her didn't you?"

All for One scratched his cheek.

"Wait is that why she knows your name? Did you actually tell her on accident?!"

"Maybe?"

"Oh my gosh you actually do like her… In that case, you'd better treat her well, because I don't want to hear that my sister in law has taken up residence in your bank vault!"

"Please, Inko is far less reckless and dumb than you were," All for One began.

"Hey!"

"Besides," All for One continued, ignoring his brother's rude interruption, "If I did vault her she'd probably figure out a way to break out and get revenge on me. I shudder to think about what she could conceive of if she really tried …"

"Really? You're scared of your regular civilian girlfriend?"

All for One smiled wistfully. "Oh don't be fooled. While she's normally a kind and gentle soul, when she's angry Inko can be the most terrifying individual I have ever met. Who else would have the potential to be my empress, the crown jewel of my kingdom,?"

"…You have really weird tastes, you know that Hisashi?"

"Oh shut up. You're just jealous because you don't have a fiancée as great as Inko!"

"Whatever, see you at the wedding, will most likely kill you shortly afterward."

"See you there. Afterwards I'll figure how to put you safely back in that vault."

"Give it your best shot jerkface! Goodbye."

All for One rolled his eyes, "Goodbye Izuku." His brother naturally hung up first. With any luck that would be the last he heard of the Shimura connection.

Izuku hung up the phone. Well that could have gone worse. At least his brother seemed to genuinely have feelings toward Nana's daughter. That or he'd become an even better liar. And hey, maybe this would be the perfect opportunity for his brother to finally redeem himself (or at least become a barely functioning person) through the power of love!

Or Izuku would have to deal with Hisashi's apparently terrifying widow. That might happen too. After all, if Hisashi's feelings were genuine and she was as terrifying as he said, there was no way she didn't know about his illegal activities right?

He walked back into the room with the rest of his team.

Only to find Nana glaring at him with her "mom glare". With the wedding invitation in her hand.

Oh no…

"Why were you asking about my daughter's name again?" She asked. Her gaze pierced into his soul. Izuku felt sweat inching down his face. "Uuuhhhhh…"

"Because it's funny," she said with a painfully fake smile, "I read this invitation and the bride kind of looked like me. With my dead husband's eyes. And the exact name I gave my daughter. But I'm sure you knew nothing about that right?"

Was this where his story ended? Killed not by his brother but by an enraged Nana? While that wasn't completely unexpected, he'd have thought it would happen before her morning coffee…

"Otherwise," Nana continued, "I'd be wondering when you were going to tell me that your brother was marrying my daughter?!"

"On the bright side, you and I will be family?" Izuku said.

Nana gave a roar of pure outrage. "THAT BASTARD ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR MY BABY GIRL! INKO COULD DO WAY BETTER THAN HIM!"

Izuku grinned. "I know right?! I always thought if he actually married someone, they'd be as bad as him! He got really lucky to get a shot with someone as great he describes Inko to-"

"THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT!"

"But she's the one who thought he was a good choice!"

"Don't care! I'm her mom! And I say she should have someone more deserving! Like Toshi!" Nana said pointing.

Toshi froze and awkwardly pointed at himself.

"Yes you! You'd be a great husband for my baby! Much better than that…that…" Nana's shoulders slumped. "I can't believe my daughter's marrying that lowlife…"

Sorahiko put a hand on her shoulder. "We've all suffered in this fight Nana. All for One has taken many precious things from all of us in his mad quest for power. I personally bear my hero as a reminder of what he took from-"

"Sorahiko, for the last time, I am not comparing my daughter to your damn car!"

Sorahiko fell to his knees, "But it was a classic! All that was left of it was the license plates!"

"Is that really what you're going to list as your great loss to All for One?"

"Says the one who'll be listing her daughter's chastity as hers…" Sorahiko muttered.

Nana's eye began to twitch. "What did you just say?"

Sorahiko had enough self-preservation instinct to turn tail and run, Nana close behind him.

Frankly it was surprising it took this long for Nana to try murdering him. As they bounced off the walls Izuku yelled, "So does that mean you're not coming to the wedding or…"

Nana yelled back "Oh you bet I'm going and nothing's gonna stop me!"

"Ok! I'll have Hisashi tell Inko!"

"Do we really need to behave?" said Banjo.

"Yes, we're not ruining Nana's daughter's big day. Or the one big day of my brother's that isn't illegal."

"And we need to dress up?" said Tora as he fidgeted with his jacket..

Izuku sighed. Of course, he'd want to wear that delinquent outfit he'd dubbed his hero costume. "Yes. We need to look presentable.

"We can't do anything to annoy All for One?" Banjo said.

"Oh," Izuku said as he pulled out his secret weapon. "I wouldn't say that."

He smiled at the key to his brother's humiliation. A necktie.
