Hey guys! Hope you liked the last chapter. Please let me know any routes that you guys would like naruto to take and i'll try follow the ones that i see the most

Also the things about Naruto and his stats after time skips i'll put at the end of chapters, that's just stuff off the top of my head and he will probably have more abilities.

Naruto Chapter 2: Start of a long story

Naruto groaned as the sage made him do another long meditation session. Ever since "he'd" started going to the academy he'd wanted to do some actual missions, but the sage insisted that he stay in the village until he became a genin, even though he was already high chunin in skill, and he could beat Shikamaru at chess. (Sometimes, if he's being lazy)

Naruto sat up and shot off into the trees to find a good place to meditate, and decided on the top of a tower in the Forest of Death. He balanced on the top of the spire and sat cross legged.

He decided not to be too annoyed at the sage and Kyuubi though, because tomorrow he was gonna take the genin exams.

Naruto sat up and looked around "Kyuubi?"

"You fell asleep idiot" Replied the fox as the mental link connected. Naruto's eyes quickly adjusted to the early morning light, and bolted upright. Sending a small shiver throughout the tower

"Its morning already!" yelped Naruto,and started to run straight to his house. He needed to become a genin, and even though the Shadow-Clone had taken his place in school for about 90% of the time, he still couldn't trust the clone not to fail.

He found his clone where he left it, and dispelled it, gaining about 1 and a half days of memorie, which even though he'd gotten used to it, it still gave him a small headache.

After the dispeling the clone Naruto shot up to his room and put some clothes on. Standard anbu pants and a white top with the red Uzumaki Swirl on the back, with shinobi shoes. After shunshining to the academy he sat down in the empty class, deciding that since he was early he would see if the sage wanted anything.

And even though time in his mindscape was 3600x slower than the real world, it was annoying that everytime the sage wanted something, he had to go into his mindscape.

Naruto entered the large garden (that was previously a sewer) to see the sage and Kyuubi arguing. So he hid behind a nearby shrub and spectated.

"Kurama you know it's dangerous"

"And you know I can't let my Jinchūriki be weak"

"Yes but what if the village sensed you, this is a very experimental jutsu," Hagoromo said, stopping as he saw Naruto appear from the shrub.

"I hate how you can conceal yourself like that in your mindscape" Hagoromo said, gaining a shrug from Naruto as he walked towards the pair.

"Nice to see you too sage. Anyway what's this about me being weak?" Naruto asked, his eyes like needles. Pressuring you, but not quite piercing you, making you seem insecure and afraid.

"(His interrogation skills are better than most i've seen)" Hagoromo thought, and couldn't help but be proud of Naruto.

"Well Naruto w-" But Kurama cut him off.

"I want you to make a Blood-Clone, so I can come into the real world and forge you weapons so you aren't weak. I know no one in Konoha will serve you" Kyuubi said, then growling at Hagoromo.

"K' Kyuubi, now what so dangerous sage" Naruto said, hearing Kyuubi mutter

something about Naruto calling him Kyuubi but he paid no attention.

"Well, this jutsu is brand new, never done before, so if something goes wrong the village might go into a panic about Kurama's chakra flowing everywhere, or worse, Kurama gets let out" Hagoromo said, glaring at Kyuubi again.

"Let's see" Said Naruto, looking at both of them.

"First option, this works and I have the famed Kyuubi make me ninja tools" gaining a nod from Kyuubi.

"Second option, this goes wrong and the village is sent into panic, and the worthless civilians might die" Said Naruto, before pointing at the Kyuubi.

"I like his plan more," Naruto said, and Hagoromo shook his head while Kyuubi celebrated. The only reason he didn't want the village to be destroyed is because of ichiraku ramen, and the pervy sandaime, but he wouldn't tell them that.

"Thats 28-27 times for him agreeing with me now Father, Ha!" Kyuubi bragged, though Hagoromo could care less.

"(If only I get Naruto to see that not everyone is that bad)" Thought Hagoromo as he shook his head again. Though he had to admit the people's methods were cruel, luckily
Shadow-Clone Jutsu was one of the first things Naruto learned.

"Well I'm gonna get going, I'll try the whole 'Blood-clone' thing after I've done my first few missions, I don't think I'll train for a few days" Naruto said, vanishing out of the mindscape, and into the real world.

The hour had gone by painfully slow, and now Iruka-sensei came into the class, sitting at the front desk. While the only people that noticed him come in where Naruto and Sasuke, and maybe Shikamaru,

"Everyone quite" He said, but everyone ignored him.

"EVERYONE QUITE!" Iruka yelled and everyone calmed down and listened.

Naruto wasn't really listening for a while, staring at a squirrel in a tree. Until his name was called.

"Naruto Uzumaki, please come up and take the test" Iruka said, and as Naruto got up, he got angry glares from Sasuke and his fangirls, also an arrogant smile from Kiba.

While his clone had been at the academy, he'd made it so it was always second, but in the last half-year he commanded it to become first, therefore angering Sasuke's fangirls, making Naruto top-dog, and booting Sasuke down an arrogant level. Fun times.

Naruto reached the front of the class, as he was commanded to throw 10 Kunais at a target. Then he had to do the Transformation and Clone-Jutsu. He did the Transformation-Jutsu fine, but when he did the Clone-Jutsu, He did a Shadow-Clone, without hand signs. This surprised Iruka.

"(WhAt ThE HeLl!)" Iruka yelled in his mind. But unknown to him Naruto had used Shadow-Clones so much, he no longer needed the Hand Seal.

Iruka regained movement after a short freeze and continued.

"Naruto Uzumaki, 10/10 for Kunai throwing, and your Justus were perfect, you pass!" Said Iruka. The Fangirls(FG from now on) Were about to explode, and they were probably gonna say something like Naruto isn't better than Sasuke, but Iruka silenced them with a glare.

As Naruto walked to his desk, he passed Choji, who gave him a thumbs up as he pasted. Next to Choji sat Shikamaru.

"(Bastard, always sleeping, though he probably smarter than most jonins)" Thought Naruto

"(What a waste of intellect)" And Naruto reached his seat.

A quarter of an hour passed and the last candidate went back to their seat. Sasuke. Naruto smiled inwardly as Sasuke had only gotten 8/10 Kunais on his target, and his Transformation-Jutsu and Clone-jutsu were fine. But he only did the normal Clone-Justu.

Him and Sasuke had formed a rivalry in which Naruto beat him, he trained, and Naruto bet him again. Naruto enjoyed seeing this emo furball of pure anger and arrogance walk around as the civilians worshipped the very ground he walked on. Naruto was lucky the civilians hadn't murdered him. Sasuke got things for free at stores. Naruto got kicked out of stores, and only a street ramen shop let him in.

So was one of the many things that was different about the two. After class was dismissed Naruto decided to walk home, it was a nice day and he could use some peace. The tension in the academy class was giving him a headache.

He wasnt 10 steps away from the academy before the emos minions came up to him. He considered Shunshining home, but this could be fun, knocking the FGs down a step while hurtings Sasuke's support. Sounds good.

"Be careful brat," said Kyuubi in his head. But he paid no attention.

"HOW DO YOU KEEP BEATING SASUKE-KUN!" Screeched the pink haired banshee in front of him, which was followed by outbursts in the small mob around him.

"Why do you keep worshiping a emo you hates you" Naruto retorted, and most of the

girls in the mob gained a tick mark on their foreheads.

"SHUT UP SASUKE IS THE BEST AND MOST HANDSOME PERSON, HE DOESN'T HATE ANYONE" The banshee screeched again, and Naruto had to move chakra to his ears to block out the noise, before he replied

"What about Itachi-Uchiha? The one who murdered his clan?" Naruto questioned, but it was bad timing that Sasuke happened to walk past the crowd and hear that. He walked over 'menacingly' towards Naruto, and the FGs pretty much laid down a red carpet for him.

"What did you say you twerp?" Sasuke's voice was cold and he drew out Kunai in a reversed grip. Naruto sighed in his mind, jumping back a few paces.

"(Why did that dahm Uchiha have to hear that)" Naruto growled in his mind.

"Told you brat" Kyuubi sneered in his mind.

"(Shut up dahmed fox)" replied Naruto.

Sasuke shot towards Naruto with his Kunai and Naruto doged, going for an upcut but Sasuke barely doged, then he attempted to slash his chest and Naruto stepped back. Sasuke Used his other Kunai to try and stab Naruto in his leg, but was met with a power roundhouse kick to the face that sent him flying into the crowd, but one of the FGs caught him. Sasuke tried a few more attempts on Naruto but he kept dodging, And this made Sasuke mad, really mad.

Sasuke stopped his advance on Naruto, as some blood from Naruto's previous kick trickled from his mouth. In the background Sasuke could hear cheers from the FGs for him, but he was fully bloodlusted on Naruto currently.

"(You WILL pay Naruto!)" Sasuke yelled inwardly.

"Fire style: Fireball Jutsu!" Said Sasuke flipped through hand signs, then taking a deep breath and breathing out a large fireball towards Naruto.

"Water style: Water Drill!" Yelled Naruto, and he went through 3 times as many hand-signs than Sasuke quicker than him. (Justu shape at chapters end)

The Drill pierced through Sasuke's fireball, before hitting his chest and he was sent flying back into a tree.

"(Did I put to much or too little into that?)" Naruto asked the Kyuubi.

"Well he's not dead or too severely injured, so good enough" Replied Kyuubi.

All the FGs could do was watch as Sasuke slowly got up again. Then he lost consciousness. There were a few onlookers besides the FGs, and they ran like their lives depended on it. At that same time Iruka rushed outside to Sasukes aid.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED" Yelled Iruka

It had been about an hour and Naruto, Iruka, Bandaged Sasuke, and the Sandaime Hokage, were sitting in the Hokage office.

"So Iruka. You're telling me an academy student did a potential A-S Rank jutsu?" Asked Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"Yes sir, Sasuke claims it destroyed his fireball and he's certain the jutsu was at low power. And Narutos not denying he didn't use this jutsu" Iruka replied. Hiruzen took a puff out of his pipe. Today was not his day.

"Iruka you are dismissed, and Sasuke, wait outside" Hiruzen said, and Iruka was about to protest but an Anbu dropped down from the ceiling to escort them out. After they were gone, Hiruzen looked Naruto dead in the eye. And sighed.

"Naruto you're a lot of things and I know creativity is one of them. I don't doubt you made that jutsu by yourself and I will not question it. But one thing. How did you even create that jutsu?" Asked Hiruzen. Taking another puff of his pipe.

"You know ji-ji, I was almost hoping you'd ask every question, but I'll answer the one I guess" Naruto said, turning towards the door.

"A certain library and a certain mentor" He said, leaving. Hiruzen put his mouth to his pipe again.

"(I had no idea what that meant, but I guess I'll find out, but in the meantime I'm guessing that Uchiha kid will want a council meeting. Better compensate him first)" though Hiruzen

Hope you guys liked that chapter, I managed to write over 2000 words on this one, and I did it in 2 hours! Wooo! Anyway have a good one, peace!

Water drill looks a bit like this but more round. One end is the drilling part and the other end is where the Jutsu is formed.
