Scotland, Hogwarts 1944

The black-haired head boy was surprised, like every other student, when the heavy doors of the great hall were thrown open with force. His hand twitched automatically to his wand in his pocket, but he dropped it again when he saw who was coming in through the gates.

It was a girl.

A little blonde girl. She walked slowly and seemed to be in pain, but he couldn't see her face.

It was only when she stopped and lifted her head that he saw the blood that was in her hair and clothes. She looked around frantically in the great hall.

She wasn't a student at Hogwarts because she wasn't in uniform and he didn't know her. So why did she come here to look for help?

When she looked in his direction, their eyes met for a moment and he saw the incredible pain in them. Then the moment was over. She turned her gaze to the staff table where several professors have already jumped up.

Professor Dumbledore was already rushing over to her and the girl shivered with relief when she saw him. She opened her mouth to say something, but the black-haired young man was too far away to hear what she was saying.

Shortly before the professor got to her, she collapsed to the floor and stopped moving.

Lying motionless on the floor, all students could see what had caused their wounds.

A wooden stake protruded only a few inches from her back.

It was a miracle she survived long enough to get to Hogwarts.

The Head Boy was now on his feet and took long strides towards the unknown girl. Up close he saw her skin, which was pale gray as ash, and the blood that clung to her body. She couldn't survive such a loss of blood, not even with magic and potions.

Through the torn clothes, he saw other small wounds. Was she hit by bullets?

The young man knelt next to Professor Dumbledore, who is stubbornly trying to save the dead girl's life. Her chest didn't move and she had stopped breathing.

The student knew that the professor's efforts were in vain. The girl could no longer be saved. But the older man didn't stop, and spoke spell after spell with calm urgency.

Suddenly he stopped and the black-haired student thought for a moment that the professor had seen that it was useless. But his eyes sparkled with determination. With a flick of his wand, the girl's body rose into the air and followed the professor out of the great hall and the curious eyes of hundreds of students.

The black-haired Head Boy looked after them with a confused look.

There were a few seconds of eerie silence before the great hall broke into chaos.
