Here we go. Chapter 2. Again, I don't own Naruto or any of the other characters besides my own. Enjoy

Kazuma jumped from tree to tree. He had to get from the land of the wind to the land of stone in less than a day. He had managed to shorten his trip a large amount though. Him and Yuna had placed his formula in every country. He figured that he might as well go to the land of fire since his target was already in Konoha. It took a lot of chakra to teleport the distance, so he had to rest and ended up resting for the entire day. Now he had to rush to his target before he could make it to the stone village.

Eventually Kazuma made it to his desired destination. Now he'd have to wait for his targets to come through there. He sat down on a tree branch and closed his eyes to focus on his hearing. He needed to hear any disturbances in the air. "After I get my pay from this mission, I'll be paying the Leaf a visit."

After what felt like ours, he finally heard commotion. The young bounty hunter got up and looked down below him. There was his target, alongside 4 other people. Three kids that looked around his age, and a man that looked like he was in his 40's. "The kids look like it'll be easy to handle. That black haired man though… he's going to be tough. I'll have to just kill the target, bring a piece of hair, and use flying-Raijin to get out of here. I'll have to plan this out carefully. One wrong move and it'll be all over" Kazuma thought to himself.

"Shut up Choji! You're eating too loud!" the platinum blond haired girl screamed. Kazuma couldn't help but notice how cute she was, and he blushed a little. He shifted his weight and the branch below him make a slight cracking sound. The black hair man with the beard looked up for a second.

"You're the one to talk! All we ever hear from you is that it's been a year and a half since Naruto left and Sasuke still hasn't come back. I'm sick of it!" Choji replied while stuffing more chips into his mouth.

"Mmph" Ino replied, while looking away and crossing her arms.

"What a drag."

Nightfall arrived and Kazuma had been following them for hours. He had figured out that this group bickered a lot. It was hard to understand why they'd team up if they argued this much. Regardless, Kazuma's mission was to kill the target. An old merchant who had apparently been doing so good for himself, that he has the luxury of meeting high end shinobi in almost every village. No wonder someone wanted him dead, with a guy like this around how could you possibly make a living?

Everyone was ready to go to sleep. He had watched them put up their trap system and watched both of the adults carefully. He had been as quiet as he could be.

After another hour of letting them sleep, he decided he'd make his move. He put his hand on the hilt of one of his swords and grabbed a kunai with his other hand. He threw it on the ground next to the sleeping old merchant and used flying Raijin to appear quietly next to him. "This mission is turning out easier than I expected." Just as Kazuma was about to pull out his sword, he heard something slicing through the air and coming straight at him. With his quick reflexes, he narrowly dodged the shuriken that was thrown at him.

"I thought I might have been mistaken when I got the feeling that someone was following us. I'm glad my senses hasn't dulled. That could have been really bad for our mission. What village are you from?"

Kazuma pulled his black scarf over his mouth and nose. "I'm not from a specific village, I think. I've been wandering from country to country since I can remember. Regardless, he has to die today. I'll leave you and the others alone once he's dead" Kazuma said with a cold look in his eyes. The hood giving him a menacing look. The atmosphere was clearly getting colder as the two stared at each other. Even though Kazuma was just a kid, Asuma considered him an enemy just like a real shinobi should. Anybody on the opposite side of him, was an enemy.

Suddenly the platinum blond kunoichi stirred, breaking Asuma's attention. Kazuma took this opportunity to body flicker over to the sleeping merchant. Realizing the mistake he made, Asuma threw a kunai at the speeding hunter in order to stop him in his tracks.

Kazuma used his quick reaction speed to hit the kunai away with one of his swords. "He's a dual wielder. So he's trained in the arts of kenjutsu. That speed of his is something to be jealous of. How could he be so fast at such a young age?" Asuma thought to himself, then dashed over to the young hunter. Trying not to give him even a moment to recover from his blocking position. Kazuma noticed the older shinobi's quick movement and prepared to counter his attack. When the attack reached him, causing decided he'd dodge the attack instead. He titled his body a little and the blade just barely missed his shoulder.

Suddenly Kazuma felt a slight pain in his shoulder. Like he'd just been cut. He backed away from his target and the attacker to review the situation. Somehow, he had just gotten cut, but the blade didn't even touch him. Something was going on here and Kazuma didn't like it. He stared at the blades that covered each of Asuma's fingers. Blood was dripping off one of them.

Everyone else around them had begun to stir awake. Kazuma couldn't risk fighting them all at once. Asuma was already proving to be to much for him to handle. Adding 4 new people would complicate things a lot. "I just need to kill that merchant, then I can be on my way!" Kazuma shouted mentally, then threw another kunai at the almost awake merchant. Asuma jumped in front of the kunai, attempting to block it, but Kazuma expected this move. Just before Asuma could black the blade, Kazuma teleported to the kunai. In an instant Asuma noticed Kazuma right above his head, but the young hunter was clearly dazed because he couldn't even attack the Shinobi who had his guard down.

Asuma took advantage of the situation and sliced the young hunter's chest. The cut wasn't that deep because Kazuma managed to twist just slightly before the blade could make complete contact. Again, the young hunter backed away to assess the situation further. He could feel the blood pouring down his stomach. Suddenly he felt much weaker.

"Should I retreat? I don't stand a chance against this ninja. He's clearly a high-ranking ninja and I can only use Flying Raijin one more time before I pass out from using it any further."

"Do you realize it now? You don't stand a chance against me. Go and live another day child. You won't be collecting this bounty today. I respect you though and one day you'll grow up to be strong, but for now just leave" Asuma said as he stared at the young boy.

The young hunter's clothes were torn way before the fight. He'd clearly not been living in the best of areas because he looked beat up way before Asuma had seen him. His sandals were worn down, his pants were ripped, and he only wore a hoodie because he didn't own any shirts. The young hunter's eyelids were getting lower and lower because of the blood loss.

Kazuma was breathing heavy now. "Just leave? You want me to give up? I can't do that! I don't want to kill any of you! I just want to kill him! I need to kill him!" Kazuma yelled, causing everyone around else to finally snap awake. The three young ninjas all got into a fighting stance, but their eyes went wide when they landed on the wounded kid… with tears in his eyes.

"Sensei what's going o—" Ino was cut off when Asuma stuck out an arm.

"Ino he is an enemy" Asuma said, continuing to stare at the young hunter.

Ino couldn't help but feel bad for the kid. Something wasn't right. Enemies didn't cry. All the enemies they had faced up until now had been outright evil. Trying to kill them, rob them, and even capture them for their own person gain. This kid didn't give her that feeling of someone who was plain evil. Something about the pain and the look in his eyes.

Shikamaru scanned the area. "There are some kunai and shuriken on the ground. He's also bleeding a lot. They must have already fought… but Asuma sensei doesn't look touched at all. He must not be all that strong" he thought to himself. After scanning the area a little bit more, he decided on what he was going to do. "Shadow Possession Jutsu!"

Kazuma saw the shadow coming towards him, but how could he get away? The moon was high over the woods, meaning shadows would be everywhere. "I could use flying Raijin again to get out of the way, but that would have to be my last time using it. I can't use it again after that! Think Kazuma… think!" In the blink of an eye, Kazuma body flickered backwards to get more distance. He then immediately threw his sword in Ino's direction. Whatever happened after that, he still had a plan.

Asuma didn't expect what had happened. First, Shika had attacked when he told them to hold. Second, Kazuma had been fast enough to gain distance and counterattack. Third, he was attacking Ino when he previously said he didn't want to kill any of them. Unfortunately, it was so unexpected that Asuma didn't have time to react.

Just as the sword was about to touch the tip of Ino's nose, Kazuma appeared in front of her, snatched the sword away, then fell onto her.

"Why am I so tired?" Kazuma asked himself. His body was extremely heavy. So heavy that he couldn't move a single muscle anymore. Unfortunately, his eyes had begun to get heavy as well. "Must be the from the blood loss." The worst part was, he was about to pass out on top of his enemy. This had put him in a vulnerable position. The enemy could do anything they wanted with him now. "I'll see you soon… Yuna sensei."
