Saturn's POV

5 years earlier

"No." She poked her tongue out at me and stared. I laugh a little.

"Why not?" I chuckle. My claws wrap around her waist and I plonk her onto my head. "Com'on, its bedtime." She frowns. And violently steps on my head. Sheesh, okay, it's definitely bed time for her. I taker over to her perfectly cleaned sleeping quarters and place her down.

"No." She repeats with tears in her eyes. "I wanna stay up wif you." I smile at her and give her a little nudge.

"How about, I read you a story or two first?" She nods and jumps up and down at the prospect, I kneel down and point to her scroll shelf. She runs over and picks up her favourite book and gently hands it to me. "Thank you." I whisper.

"OKAYYYYYY GO!" She sits on my lap and I hold my wings around her. The little angel. The best little sister any one could hope for. While she listens, I flick through the pages, one by one, her little head becomes slowly heavier as it rests on my side. I close the book and gently place her down into her snug bed. A small smile lines her face. Smile. Goodnight.

I silently exit the room and gently pull the door behind me. Without further ado, I go around the house cleaning up the whirlwind of mess she had made earlier. Hopefully, Mother will be happy with my efforts. I grab the last few items and throw them into a stone basket. Sitting down I stare out at the stars, the most beautiful part of the earth. Each star shines its own brightness and holds its own beauty. They all twinkle as if they have a message to say. My mind buzzes with excitement, the endless thoughts of imagination create an aurora of excitement. I roll over on my side to study another set of collated stars, in this set, there is always one bright start to the north, a mildly bright star to the south. I get up and grab a scroll, then sit back down sketching the patch of stars tonight, so I can observe the difference. If there is any.

Lost in my thoughts I hear footsteps coming to the door. Shoot. I hide my scroll under my wing and get up and go try and look busy. Mother bustles in through the door.

"What are you doing? Come help me already." She walks away and curses under her breath. I run over and grab all of the things my Mother is carrying.

"Where would you like these?" I ask politely.

"My room." She growls. I hobble down to her room and place down the mysterious objects, not daring to open then and look. I wish to avoid getting in any trouble tonight. I speed back down into the hallway and stand ready to follow any of my Mothers commands.

"GET AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE!" She screams. I politely follow her command and rush back down into my tiny bedroom compartment. I can hear her mumbled anger and cursing under her breath. Sighing, I crouch into the corner and curl up. I am sorry Mother.

It really is all my fault she is this way. Its my fault that she is so grumpy all the time. I was the one that made Father leave. I caused the argument that broke them clean in two. I shouldn't have been greedy and asked for a bigger room because I didn't have much space anymore. And to this day I still sit in that very room, and I make sure it fits. That was over 3 years ago.

I tightly close my eyes and try dream of something that makes me happy.

"GET OUT! GET OUT NOW! IT'S YOUR FAULT YOUR GREEDY LITTLE DRAGONET!" I crouch down and leave the room as quickly as I came. I run down to the end of the little hallway we have in our house and cower in the corner. My Mother in her full rage gets out of her room and runs down the hallway, she lunges at me and pins me against the wall. I try to struggle but my little body is no where near the size comparison.

"HOW DOES THAT FEEL?" A demonic voice echoes out of her. A smile that lines every corner or her teeth appears and flashes at me. She starts cursing under her breath once again. "This is how it felt when your father left me. It is your fault. Your fault. I hate you so much. It is your fault. Why are you still alive? You are the one that made this happen. GREEDY!" She screams and throws me onto the floor. I take a deep breath.

"I am s-sorry Mother." I cough and splutter out. It didn't help that she had the brute strength of someone that had worked in the queen's personal guard for 20 years.

"YOUR NOT SORRY! JUST YOU WAIT! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT IT FEELS LIKE ONEDAY WHEN SOMEONE DOES THE SAME TO YOU!" She screams placing her claws upon my throat. I breath, very quickly. A trickle of sweat runs down my head. She suddenly lifts up her talons and begins to walk away. I take a huge sigh of relief.

"Sorry Mother, sorry Mother. I am sorry. Anything you want, I will do it for you immediately. It was all my fault. I am very sorry." She nods with approval and makes her way back down into my room.

My eyes open. To a dark room. I feel the walls beside myself and realise it was just a dream. Just a silly dream. Just a true dream.
