The sun shined as a new day came upon the residents of Durdam Lane. There was one resident that took advantage of it compared to the others. That one resident was a ginger named Matt. When the rays of the sun came through the blinds of his window, he was the first of his two housemates to be out of bed. Speaking of housemates, in what seem like hours, Edd comes out of his room and into the kitchen. Edd heads over to the fridge and takes out a can of cola before noticing that Matt was sitting at the table with an Easter basket.

"Matt, you're up early" said Edd. "Good morning, Edd! How did you slept?" asked Matt. "Uh..pretty well considering the fact that we were up all night partying. So, what's with the basket?" asked Edd. "Edd, how could you forget!? It's Easter" said Matt. As Matt was finishing his sentence, Edd takes a sip of his cola before spitting it out. Edd then looks at a calendar on a wall that showed the days counting down to Easter.

"Oh god, you're right. How did I forget? It's almost Easter" said Edd. "Yeah, it sure is! Are you ready to hunt for eggs?" asked Matt. "Yes, I am!" said Edd. "Same here, buddy!" said Matt. "This is going to be awesome!" said Edd. "I know!" said Matt. "Wow, I can't believe that we're both yelling!" said Edd. "I know, but it's so fun!" said Matt. "You can say that again!" said Edd.

Before Matt could continue on with the yelling, a voice belonging to Tom rang back to them. "Edd, Matt, why are you two yelling!? I'm trying to sleep!" yelled Tom. Both Edd and Matt tried hard not to laugh. "Sorry, Tom" said Matt. "Anyway, at what time should we be at the park so we can practice our egg hunting skills?" asked Edd. "I actually had this idea for awhile. We should start hunting for eggs a couple of days before Easter" said Matt.

"That's not a bad idea, but if we were to do that, wouldn't be considered cheating or stealing?" asked Edd. "No Edd, it's not. The Easter Bunny is said to hide eggs days before Easter and usually replaces said eggs the night before in case if the eggs rot" said Matt. "Matt, that's stealing. Also aren't you a little too old to believe in the Easter Bunny?" asked Edd. "Edd, you believe in Santa Claus" said Matt. "That's because Santa is actually real. We all saw him, but we've never seen the Easter Bunny in person" said Edd.

"Tch...we can argue about this all day, but are we still going to hunt for eggs early?" asked Matt. "No, I'm doing that on actually day" said Edd. "Ok, fine. I'll hunt for eggs all by myself, but first, can you paint my face?" asked Matt. "Uh sure. What do you want?" asked Edd. "Bunny" said Matt. "What?" asked Edd. "Bunny" repeated Matt. "You want a bunny?" asked Edd. Without warning, Matt comes in close to Edd's ear. "I want bunny" said Matt in a deep voice. "Ok, one bunny coming up. I just need to get my face painting kit" said Edd.

[A few minutes later]

Edd was putting the finishing touches on the face paint as Matt smiles in delight. "Is it done? Is it done? Is it done?" asked Matt. "Almost, just hold still" said Edd. Matt felt the brush leaving his face as Edd got up to get something. Unexpectedly, Edd places a headband of bunny ears on Matt's head. "Ok, it's done" said Edd. "Yay!" said Matt.

Edd hands Matt a mirror who begins looking at his reflection, amazed at how good of job Edd did. "Edd, you did a great job. Thanks!" said Matt. "Anything for you Matt" said Edd. "I'm going to ask Tom if he wants to join me" said Matt. "Good luck with that" said Edd.

Meanwhile in Tom's room, Tom was sitting on chair holding his bass in his arms. "Susan, promise me that you won't cheat on me" said Tom. Susan says nothing as Tom smiles. "Oh Susan, I can't be mad at you" said Tom. Just as Tom was about to kiss Susan, the door to his room gets kicked wide open as Matt comes in. "Tom!" said Matt. "Jesus Matt! How many times do I have to tell you to knock?" asked Tom.

Matt knocks on Tom's door as Tom only sighed. "Yes Matt? You do you want?" asked Tom. "It's almost Easter and I want to go to the park so I can hunt for Easter eggs. Do you want to join me?" asked Matt. "Hmm...did you ask Edd?" asked Tom. "I did, but he said no" said Matt. "Ok, what makes you think that I want to look for eggs with you?" asked Tom. "Because you're also my best friend" said Matt as he gives off a big smile.

"Uh thanks for saying that I guess" said Tom. "So are you going to join me?" asked Matt. "Aren't you a little too old to be out hunting for eggs and getting your face painted?" asked Tom. "I don't know, Tom. Aren't you a little too old to be complaining?" asked Matt as he narrows his eyes. Tom not liking what Matt said to him, sits up in his chair as he puts Susan down and picks up a bat. "The hell did you just say to me?" asked Tom. Matt's eyes widen as he saw the bat. "N-N...Nothing!" said Matt. "Good, I thought so" said Tom. "...Eh...Are...Are you coming with me to the park?" asked Matt. "No" said Tom. "Fine! If nobody wants to go with me, I guess I'll hunt eggs all by myself. I'll show you" said Matt. Matt turns around and leaves Tom's room. "Oh brother..." said Tom.

[At the park]

As true to his word, Matt makes to the park with his Easter basket in hand to look for eggs. "Alright, let the egg hunting begin. This won't take long" said Matt. A few hours passed and Matt couldn't find any eggs at all. "It's been hours and still no eggs. I've looked everywhere. Hmm...maybe the eggs will appear tomorrow? I hope so" said Matt.

[Tom's voice: Tomorrow...err..yeah tomorrow]

The next day, Matt came back to the park to see if there were any eggs and there was nothing. "No eggs again. Maybe the next day" said Matt.

[Tom's voice: The next day...maybe]

Matt comes back to the park looking to see if there were eggs or not and he found none. "Where are the eggs!? ...The next day after this day for sure" said Matt.

[Tom's voice: The next day after the next day]

On the third day at the park, there were no eggs again. "Ugh...tomorrow for sure" said Matt.

[Tom's voice: Tomorrow for- ...Uhhhh...why I am here?]

One the fourth day, Matt wasn't playing any games as he marched through the park carefully scanning through everything that may be a hiding place for an egg. Unfortunately, he couldn't find any and once he made it to some playground, he climbed to the top of the tallest slide there and stood on it for a good while. Matt takes a breath before suddenly starts screaming at the top of his lungs. The scream was loud enough to be heard from miles as it got the attention of Bing. "Yes perfect. Did you hear that Larry?" asked Bing. Larry was standing next to a film camera. "Yeah I did" said Larry. "Good, that's the scream of a movie that's going to be a blockbuster hit" said Bing. Larry just rolls his one eye in response to what Bing just said.

[Back at Edd's house]

The sun was starting to go down by the time Matt came back to Edd's house. Edd and Tom were in the kitchen eating dinner. Things were silent till Edd says something. "I wonder what's taking Matt so long to get back. He's usually here before dinner" said Edd. "Yeah, it doesn't take that long to look for eggs" said Tom.

"He's still trying to look for eggs? I thought I've heard him screaming a few hours ago" said Edd. "I don't think it was him screaming. It kinda sounded like a woman" said Tom. Meanwhile up in the attic, Matt was seen looking at some huge map of the park marking it with a marker. It turns out he was marking the areas of the map where there could be eggs. "I've literally checked all of these places within a span of four days and nothing. I think there's something or someone that's been taking all the eggs as soon as they are put down. I need to tell Edd and Tom about this" said Matt.

Back in the kitchen, Edd and Tom were currently busy cleaning till Matt comes in. "Matt, there you are. Where have you been?" asked Edd as he looked at Matt. "Gentlemen, it has come to my attention that I have found something big and I must tell you about it. After you're done cleaning, meet me up at in the attic at 7pm" said Matt. "It already passed that" said Edd. "Ok, fine. We shall meet each other at 7:30" said Matt. "It already passed 7:30" said Edd.

"How about 7:40?" asked Matt. "Can't that's when we're supposed to be watching Tom's stupid show about grown men dancing around in tights" said Edd. "I do not watch grown men in tights!" said Tom. "Does 8:15 sound good or no?" asked Matt. "Yeah, 8:15 is good. We'll be up there" said Edd. "Alright, it's settled. So, what's for dinner?" asked Matt. "Matt, we already had dinner. We tried to call you, but you didn't answer" said Tom. "Aw man! I really wanted waffles though" said Matt as he pouted.

[Timeskip to 8:15]

After getting Matt waffles, it was time to go meet him up in the attic or should I say follow him to the attic. Once up there, Matt has Edd and Tom sit down in two chairs that were in front of the map of the park. "What's with the map?" asked Tom. "I'm glad you've asked, this is a map of the park where the egg hunting competition will take place in. If you can tell by the red circles of a marker, it's where each egg is currently at" said Matt. Edd raises his hand. "Yes, Edd?" asked Matt.

"This all sounds nice, but did you really waste your time in looking all over the park for eggs?" asked Edd. "Yes, I sure did and I don't regret it" said Matt. Tom raises his hand. "Yes, Tom?" asked Matt. "Can I leave now? This is lame" said Tom. "But I didn't get to tell you what I plan on doing yet" said Matt.

"Fine. Do tell us" said Tom. "For four days, I haven't found a single egg and do you want to know why?" asked Matt. "Is it because it's still way too early to be looking for eggs?" asked Edd. "No, it's because I think there is something or someone that's been stealing them and we need to stop it" said Matt. Edd and Tom just looked at Matt before bursting out in laughter. "Why are you guys laughing!? I'm being serious right now! Eggs are literally being stolen" said Matt. Edd and Tom tried to say something, but they couldn't stop laughing. "That's it! If you guys aren't going to join me then I'll go all by myself and I'll prove to you that I am not making this up" said Matt.
