Reviews:
ghostshot841: Hero name will be Flash.
itsyaboi2525: I have plans for many intense speed force scenes with Izuku.
Yakuza2010: Yes he will learn a type of fighting style with I call Speed-kata. A mix of Karate and using super speed at the same time. As for people helping Izuku track down zoom, well I don't want spoil it.
That's it for reviews.
Chapter 2: A speedster is born
"IZUKU!" Izuku heard his name be called, but he wasn't sure where it was coming from. He couldn't move his body, and everything felt different to him. The teen opened his eyes; his vision was blurred so he couldn't make anything out. He did see the color cyan. He believed that it had to be Nejire, but what would she be doing here? He also saw people in scrubs, was he going somewhere, was he in a hospital.
Izuku wasn't sure what was going on; he wasn't even sure what happened. All he remembers is that he was in the chemistry room. He was working on some chemicals and taking notes. Then it's blank after that; it's all blank. The teen's eyes started too close as he tried to speak to Nejire, but he couldn't. His mouth was also not working, the only thing that seemed to be working was his eyes, and that was scarce. He was so tired and weak, but before he closed his eyes he saw a tear drop down from Nejire's eyes.
The tear fell onto his brunt shirt, and Izuku wasn't sure if his mind was playing tricks on him, but he saw the tear slow down as it fell from the cyan-haired girl's eyes. Izuku wasn't able to keep his eyes open after that since they closed, and he drifted into a deep sleep. When he awoke, he would find out that much time had passed.
"Miss, you must wait here." The nurse said as the doctors rushed Izuku to an emergency room. Once they went past those doors, only select personnel were allowed through, and Nejire knew that, but this was the first time she wanted to ignore that. She wanted to be next to Izuku the whole way, be there for him when he wakes up, but as much as she wished that she must allow the doctors to do their work. She just had to pray and hoped that Izuku would be alright.
"Nejire," The worried girl turned around to the person that called her name and saw that it was Naomasa, Izuku's adopted father. Naomasa was drenched from the rain. The brown trench coat he wears was covered in wetness thanks to the storm. The father had a worried look on his face, the first that Nejire has ever seen on him.
"Is he...Is he alright?" Naomasa was to force himself to say those words. He has delivered terrible news before to families who have lost their loved ones, but he never thought that he would be the one to ask for the information on his son.
Nejire bit her lip; she didn't know how to answer the officer because even she didn't know. She was on her way to meet him then she saw the lightning bolt striking the window. She knows that Izuku spends a lot of time in the chem lab and knew that he would be there.
When she got there, she hoped that Izuku was not there, that he had gone to the bathroom or something. But she was wrong, for when she opened the doors, she saw that teen, her best friend, was laid out and unmoving. Unknown chemicals covered his body, his shirt was burned, and his skin had a few burns as well.
Nejire's heart nearly fell when she saw that scene, but as a hero, she has learned to steel her heart and herself in the moment of a crisis, and that is what she did. Nejire was still Nejire, but she was also Wave Girl, apprentice to the Dragon Queen. The first thing that she did was check his pulse to make sure that he was alright. She released a breath of air that she did not know she was holding when she felt one.
Izuku was still alive, so the next thing that she did was call 911, telling them their location and what happened. It wasn't long before the ambulance came. Nejire didn't wait for them to go to Izuku, so she went to them. She grabbed Izuku and activated her wave powers, and she fired a stream of wave energy to help with her descent. When she came down, she gave Izuku to the ambulance, where they put the oxygen mask on him and put it in the back of the truck.
Nejire rode with them, and she held Izuku's hand the whole way. As they approached the nearest hospital, Nejire could see that Izuku was growing paler; something was happening to him. The paramedics rushed him into the building where the doctors came, all of them started to work on the teen to keep him stable.
Taking blood pressure, blood samples, heart rate, sticking an IV in his fluids. A heart rate monitor was hooked up to him, and when it was on, they could see that Izuku's heart rate was in the red. Nejire was not a doctor, but she knew that red meant terrible in this field world.
She saw that, and coupled with the idea that she was about to lose her friend, she screamed his name in a reaction. When she called the name, Izuku's eyes opened, but they were still half-closed. Nejire went to the teen's side, telling him that he was going alright, saying that the doctors were going to save him, telling him that his father was on the way, and reminding him that he needed to keep on fighting.
Nejire wasn't sure if Izuku heard her or not. It seemed like he didn't register what she was saying. Her eyes began to tear up, for she feared that Izuku's end would be nearing, she hoped not, because he meant a whole lot to her. He was her best friend, someone who she could go to speak about everything. She can't lose him.
The tear dropped onto Izuku, and that is when the nurses stopped Nejire, only the doctors were allowed past this point. Nejire watched as the doctors rolled Izuku into an emergency room, and the light went up. Now she is outside with Naomasa, both of them were waiting for the doctor to come out to tell them something. Good news they hoped for, but any information would do. Would Izuku be alright? Was there any damage to the internal system? Was he even alive?
They would both get their answers when the light went off, and the doctor came out. Both Naomasa and Nejire stood up at the same time to hear what the man had to say. "Are you the Izuku Midoriya party?" The doctor asked, and Naomasa was the one that answered him.
"Yes, I'm his father. Please tell me, is my son alright?" The doctor had been doing this job too long; there were parts that he loved, and there were parts that he hated. This was one of them. Delivering the news to the parents, while some got good news, others got terrible news, and now this father was about to be one of them.
"Sir, your son is physically fine," Naomasa and Nejire released a breath of air, but the doctor was not finished. "But he is in a coma." That's when the father and friend widened their eyes in horror; Izuku was in a coma. They couldn't believe what they just heard, and yet it was true when they saw the doctor's face; it confirmed what they feared. Naomasa is the veteran. He composed himself and asked the doctor if he could see his son.
"Doctor, may we see Izuku." The doctor nodded his head and led the detective and the officer. The three walked to the room of the unconscious teen. The doctor began to give a breakdown of what happened to Izuku.
"Detective, you said that you are the boy's father." Naomasa nodded his head, and the doctor asked him another question.
"Do you or your son have a quirk by any chance?" Naomasa answered the question, well...only half of it, for he did have a quirk.
"Yes, I have a quirk called polygraph. It allows me to know when people are lying to me, but Izuku does not have one at all. He is quirkless." Naomasa and Nejire could see the doctor form a face like he was contemplating something. Nejire didn't like the suspense and flat out asked him what was wrong.
"Doctor, what is wrong, and does it have to pertain to Izuku?" The man in the scrub sighed; it was no point in hiding it from them.
"Yes, it does have to do with your friend, but... it's just I've never seen anything like it."
"Like what?" Naomasa asked curiously and with a raised eyebrow. What could be so surprising to the doctor, and what does it have to do with his son? The father and the best friend would soon get their answer as the doctor opened his mouth.
"Physically, he's fine. Everything is perfect; in fact, it's better than perfect. Sir, your son's body began healing itself. We never opened him up. All we did was run a test on his internal injuries."
"Are you certain of that?" Naomasa asked because even he couldn't believe it. No one could get struck by lightning and then walk away perfectly fine, but his quirk told him otherwise. The doctor was not exaggerating, and he would see it for himself as they all had arrived at the door to Izuku's room.
"See for yourself." The doctor offered, not just to the father, but the girl with him. When the door opened, Nejire took a breath in and made a loud gasp when she saw her best friend lying on the bed with a blanket covering him. Izuku's eyes were completely shut. He had an IV in his right arm, the machine next to him, as it continued to beep at a steady pace.
"Izuku," Nejire whispered in sadness as she walked to the bedside of her friend. When she arrived at his side, she grabbed his hand and held it tightly, hoping that the teen could feel her squeeze and respond to it. Naomasa saw his unconscious son and saw what the doctors were talking about; Izuku looked perfectly healthy. If you didn't know that he was hit by lightning or in a coma, you would think he was sleeping.
"Here, these are the tests that we ran." Naomasa saw what the doctor was saying about Izuku being healthy. Everything was right. The only wrong thing was his brain. The doctor showed an image of Izuku's brain and showed where the damage was.
"Izuku's brain is healing, I believe it thanks to these new abilities that he was given, but as for how long it will take, I do not know. I've never seen anyone receive powers from being struck by lightning. It's amaz-I'm sorry. I will leave you two alone." The doctor left when he realized how incentive he was being. He was fascinated by how Izuku sustained no injuries and how he received his powers but failed to recognize his family's pain. If the teen did somehow receive powers, it came at a terrible cost.
Naomasa looked at his son and then walked up to Nejire. He put an arm around her to help console the girl, who started to cry. The father rubbed his arm to help her, but right now, he was no better. He was keeping a calm look on the outside, but on the inside, he was panicking. He didn't know when Izuku would wake up. It could be weeks, months, even years. It could never be.
Naomasa shook his head; he could not have those thoughts. His son will wake up; he knows that he will. Izuku is a fighter and has a heart that can match any hero. He may call himself weak, but his son does not know how powerful he truly is, for he has the one ability that can never be duplicated. The detective only knows of one other person that has it, and that is heart. Izuku has heart, and he will come back to them. They just have to wait.
"It's going to be alright, Nejire. It's going to be alright." Naomasa comforted the girl, and he was now sobbing. He was telling this for her benefit, but also his. Yes, he believes that Izuku will wake up, but the waiting will be the most challenging part.
Nejire heard the words of Naomasa and hugged him. Whether she did it for her or him didn't matter, but she needed a hug. Naomasa knows of his son's feelings for the cyan-haired girl. He approves, and he secretly wants them to be together because he knew Izuku was in love with Nejire before he even knew what love even meant. He was always there for her, always helping her, always listening to her, and even helped design her costume. Izuku is part of Nejire, even if he doesn't even know it.
Both Nejire and Natomas consoled each other as the sounds of Izuku's machine beeped; it was the only sound made. The rain had slowed down, and the storm had passed, but it took someone with it, and that was Izuku.
Elsewhere
Elder Izuku had arrived back at his apartments. It was a small one, but it acted as more of a safe house than anything. If there were a nice word, then it would be decent, but he doesn't care. He shouldn't even be here, and by here, he means this time, but the damn force will not let him leave.
He made sure that his younger self would get his power, and now he has to wait for him to wake up. It's been 12 years since he failed to save his mother. His enemy wanted to prevent him from ever becoming the man he was, so he ran back in time to kill his younger self. No young Izuku means no future.
Older Izuku found out what he was going to do and ran back to stop him as well. But he failed; he saved his younger self, so that means that the future still exists, but at a great cost, his mother died.
Older Izuku thought that that was it, that his future was dead, but he was wrong. His future stayed alive, but it changed. Everything was different for the man as he laid on his bed. He has new memories mixed in with his old. The old ones of his previous future and the new ones are of his new future. What does that even mean for him? Does he exist outside of the time stream, and is that the reason why he can't leave? Has he become a paradox?
'If that is so, the young me's journey will be very different and yet the same: my friends, All Might and Mirio. What about Eri? Will I still meet her, and let's not forget about All For One. Some many variables and not enough concrete facts.' Older Izuku shook his head and looked at his hand. He could feel the tremendous power inside of him, now weak. The power that he was blessed diminished into nothing, he could vibrate his hand.
'Izuku will now most likely be in a coma. It will take him seven months to awake...I hope. Seven was the same for me, and if things go the way I remember, he should hear their voices when the time comes to run. Until then, I should continue my plans. I already changed the future, but not by a large degree where it should affect the timeline...I hope. If it does I'll just have to figure it out.'
Older Izuku leaned back on his bed and began to formulate plans and backup plans. If he was going to be stuck in the past, he best got used to living in this era again. He will continue to guide Izuku under the guise of Deku. For Deku there won't be much to do except wait till his younger self awakes from his slumber.
Seven Months Later
"Hello! Hello! HELLO!" Izuku screamed to the top of his lungs as he walked through the darkness. That is all that he has been doing for God knows how long, just walking. Step after step, left leg then the right leg, nothing but walking.
How long has he been walking for, he wonders. Where is he, he also wonders. Will he ever escape this darkness, he prays and wonders. But hoping, praying, and wondering won't get him out of here. All he can do is what he has been already, and that is walking. As Izuku continues to walk through the darkness, he wonders how everyone is doing. Is his dad doing alright at work? Was Nejire on the news again for taking down another villain?
Boy what Izuku would give to be with them right now. He feels that he will be here forever, but his time was now done. Izuku didn't know it, but it was time for him to wake up and begin his journey. He had been asleep for too long, and now he must get to work and put himself on the road that he will run down.
A blue light appeared in the sky and Izuku looked up, he narrowed his eyes at the blinking light. It was like a star that Izuku could not reach, but he did watch as the blue light exploded and covered the whole area. Izuku had widened his eyes as the darkness was now gone and he was surrounded by blue lighting, but the teen still didn't know what it meant. It was like he was in the middle of a tunnel, and there was one way out.
Izuku looked behind him to still see the darkness, but when he looked forward, he widened his eyes when she saw someone there. A man was in front of Izuku, a man that he did not recognize. A man with a yellow lightning bolt on his chest, a metal bucket on his head for a hat with wings on the side. He was wearing blue jeans, red boots, a red jacket, and had a smile on his face.
"W-Who are you?" Izuku asked with confusion as he put a hand over his eyes to shade himself from the blue light. It was so bright that it made it hard for him to see.
"Time to wake up kiddo." Izuku was even more confused, but then something happened to him. The lighting struck Izuku just like it did that day in the chemistry lab and something incredible happened to him. He woke up.
Izuku snapped his eyes open in the hospital and gasped for air, the oxygen mask was ripped off his mouth as he coughed loudly. His lungs were struggling to breathe, but that was not the only thing that happened.
"Izuku?" Izuku heard his name call and looked towards his bedside to someone that he didn't expect to see. Who he saw was his best friend and love of life in Nejire. She was sitting there on the couch, the water in her hand had crashed to the ground.
When she was about to sit, she heard the loud gasp of air from the bed. She saw with shocked eyes that Izuku had awoken and that shock had made her spill her drink.
"N-N-Nej..ire?" Izuku's voice was hoarse, he didn't know why, but Nejire knew why. It was because he hadn't used it for seven months. The girl went to his side and brought his head into her chest for a hug.
Tears of joy were pouring down her eyes for Izuku had awoken, he was up, and he had returned. Izuku couldn't really process what was going on, but he knew a hug when he felt so he did the only thing that he could do and that was return it.
At the Station
Naomasa was doing paperwork from a case that he just finished, he was sitting at his desk with a picture of his son next to his monitor. It's been seven months, and Izuku has not awakened yet, he gets well wishes from his fellow officers and even used his connection to bring Recovery Girl in to heal him. But even she could not heal him with her powerful kisses.
He hopes that his son wakes up, life is not the same without him. He does have to thank Nejire for looking after him when he's not there. The girl has taken care of Izuku by brushing his teeth and changing his bed. Naomasa smiled when thinking about the girl, his son and her would make a great couple. Perhaps it's time for him to find someone as well. The detective shook his head, he had no time for a relationship, he had to focus on his work.
Naomasa heard his phone ring as he continued to do the paperwork, he looked towards it and saw that it was an unknown number. The officer answered it and heard something that made him widen his eyes.
"Izuku is awake." Naomasa's tired eyes snapped open and rose up from his seat so quickly that it fell backwards. He hung up the phone and quickly began to make his way to his car and soon to the hospital.
If one advantage ever came with being a cop is that his car has built-in sirens, so it helps him bypass the traffic. No one questioned or stopped the rushing man as he made his way to the stairwell, he was not even going to wait for the elevator. He needed to get to his son, see his face again, but most importantly, he needed to hug him.
Elsewhere
"The kid is up." A female voice spoke to a man on the phone. The man nodded his head and responded back with an order.
"Good, I'll take it from here. What about your assignment?" The man asked the female on the phone and she yawned before answering him.
"I'm in, but you didn't tell me that I would be working for All For One." The man smiled as he commented back to her. He could tell that the woman was surprised to see the great villain alive.
"Yes, I guess I forgot to disclose that information, but I'm sure that you can handle it, Nagant." The man hung up the phone and now looked at the window. The older Izuku was in the penthouse looking, his face looking at his reflection in the window. So much has changed in the seven months, in the 12 years really.
One thing that has changed is his hair, it is no longer the forest green color that it was known for. Now it was a red color, his eyes were black as well, and his freckles were gone thanks to some plastic surgery. Izuku had found specific people to help change his face and appearance. People that didn't ask questions and got the job done.
Izuku looked different, but he did not look like his current self. He knows that he must not have any connection to his past, all he can do is guide him. Guide him to victory. The elder Izuku sighed and closed his eyes, it had been an interesting seven months. It was an interesting 12 years in fact. He changed the little things without anyone knowing.
Future knowledge does come in handy, and he is using it well. Using that knowledge, he is taking bets. The older Izuku has won many bets when it comes to the sports events, and it has won him a ton of money.
That was the first, the second is investing. One particular investment has jump-started a new science lab called Star Labs. Using his knowledge from the future, Izuku started the company a few years before it was intentionally supposed to take off and now that said company rivals that Yaoyorozu company. He is never in front of the cameras, but he is always behind the scenes. Many of the top-level scientist that work there know of him and the top levels of the company do as well.
The next was arguably the biggest and that was using his knowledge to prevent the fall of the former pro hero Lady Nagant. The woman who is the world's deadliest shooter was a powerful villain that tried to kill him in his original timeline, but now he changed that. She is still a rogue hero and wanted by the heroes everywhere, but he got to her first.
Using his knowledge he got to the first hero that she killed first and made sure that things went differently. The hero that was supposed to die still died. Izuku didn't change that, the man was scum and didn't deserve to be a hero after what he found out he did. But instead of allowing Nagant to kill more Izuku decided to offer her a job. He protected her with her money and hid her from the world, now she works for him as a spy and is currently in the forming group of the League of Villains.
If things have changed then Nagant will keep him informed, but that was not the last of the big changes. This was the other. "Are you coming back to bed?" Izuku turned his head back to the king-size bed to see a woman on her side looking at him with lust in her eyes.
The woman had chin-length blonde hair, which she wore swept back with a headband, a long fringe over the right side of her face, covering her eye. She has thin, yellow, inward-tilting eyes with slit pupils and notably sharp teeth. Who was this? Well, it was the Dragoon Hero or what Izuku likes to call his Dragon Queen, Ryukyu.
Yes, the infamous playboy Hisashi Kamado is dating one of the most beautiful women to ever call herself a hero and one of the few women to grace the top ten list. How did they end up together? Well, there was this fundraising that he was at, she was there as well. They got to talking, drinking, laughing, and sharing stories. One thing led to another and the next thing they both knew she ended up coming back to his apartment where they had some late night fun. Since then they have been dating for five months.
"Yeah, babe. I just had to make a phone call. Also tomorrow we won't be able to have that date night that you wanted?" Ryuko pouted as her lover came back in bed and she got on top of him. Her naked chest is now visible to the man below her. Izuku smiled, looking up at her, his girlfriend was truly beautiful and just damn sexy.
"Well then, I guess you're going to have to make it up to me." Izuku smiled, and it got bigger as he leaned up from the mattress and grabbed the back of her head. His gentle hand on her luscious straight hair, he brought her head forward and whispered one last thing as soon began his make up present.
"Anything for you, my love." Izuku would enjoy his time with his girlfriend, for tomorrow he must test his younger self. If he is correct Izuku will leave the hospital tomorrow, and on that day he will take a walk by himself to clear his head.
During that walk is where he, meaning the future Izuku, experienced his powers for the first time. It was during that walk where he felt the power of the speed force for the first time and where truly heard the voice in his head. But all that is for tomorrow, tonight he has to deal with an eager girlfriend who was looking to be on top the whole night.
Hospital
Izuku drank the glass of water the Nejire had handed him, his father had not come, but was told that he was on way. During their wait Nejire had told him all that had happened, it wasn't much, but it was for Izuku. He still couldn't believe that he missed seven months of his life. In the darkness, it felt like hours, maybe even days, but seven months. Izuku was still comprehending that.
Nejire reminded him that he was struck by a bolt of lightning, something else that he forgot, but when she did tell him, he started to remember the phone call as well. A man calling himself Deku, told him to look up and he did. Looking up cost him seven months, and from what Nejire has told him, it also gave him abilities and abs. Yes, Izuku has a six pack.
He couldn't believe it till he actually looked at himself in the mirror, his entire core was shredded. If one would look, you would think that he was working out his whole life, but it wasn't just that. It was his muscles as well. His arms actually had muscles, real muscles that were not fake. No, they were the real deal, and he felt how real they were. Izuku's mind was beyond blown.
'Did that lighting really give me powers? Not only that did Deku know that this was going to happen to me?' I mean he sounded so sure of himself when he said that I will have the tools necessary to defeat the black speedster. But even with these muscles and healing, it is still not enough. That man has super speed and can move faster than I can blink. How am I going to stop that?' Izuku continued to mumble in self thought that he didn't hear the door open, if he did, he would look up to see his adopted father there.
"Izuku, Naomasa is here." Nejire told him with a smile and Izuku stopped his mumbling, he looked to the door to see that his father was indeed there. The man with eyes full of surprise, shock, and relief all written on his face.
Izuku saw his face and didn't know what to say to him. As he struggled to find the words in his mind Naomasa walked forward and as Izuku's mouth opened and closed, his father brought him in for a big and long overdue hug. Izuku was caught off guard just like with Nejire, but like her he heard his father sob. Izuku recovered from his shock and smiled. He wrapped his arms around his father's coat and hugged him tightly.
"I missed you, son." Naomasa sobbed, no one could understand how the man felt for the last seven months. Everyday after work he would come here in this room and wait for his son to wake up.
He would tell him about his day or how he worked with All Might in some cases, hoping that stories of his favorite hero would snap his eyes open. It never worked, but finally, finally after seven long and heartbreaking months his son has returned.
"I missed you to...dad." Naomasa smiled and sobbed even harder, Izuku may not be his biological child, but he doesn't give a damn. He doesn't care what anybody says, this boy is his son, and he will forever be his son.
"Am I interrupting?" Both men broke the hug and everyone turned their heads back to the door to see the doctor standing there with an apologetic look on his face.
"No," Naomasa wiped his eyes and motioned the doctor to come into the room. The doctor did so and went right to Izuku's bedside where he began to take his vitals.
"So doc, what's the situation?" Izuku asked with a curiosity that was known, once the doctors were finished, he looked at the chart that held his notes on the teen. The more he read them gave him more questions, he still couldn't put it together. How did this child obtain a quirk?
"Physically you are fine, better fine actually. You are a perfect example of excellent health. Now, how are you mentally? People who come out of comas, especially long ones such as yourself tend to feel different." Izuku thought about the question, yes he had questions himself, but none of that more than the one thing that he was feeling now.
"I'm hungry more than anything else." The doctor smiled when he heard Izuku's stomach growl loudly, it was embarrassing, but the doctor waved it off for being something natural for recovering comatose patients. He ordered food for the young teen, but what happened next shocked everyone in the room.
When the food arrived Izuku had eaten all of it. He ate every last bite, every last meal, every last crumb and left nothing, but clean plates. All of it was gone, and the three just had a bewildered look on their faces.
"What? I was hungry." Izuku clarified as if that one statement could explain how he just devoured six plates worth of food in like ten minutes. The doctor shook his head and got back the topic, for he may know what has happened to Izuku while he was in his comatose state.
"Izuku when you were hit by that lightning bolt your body changed."
"Changed?" Izuku repeated with confusion and the doctor explained what he meant.
"Yes, change and let me explain how. Right now, your body is very hungry, well that is because your metabolism is burning quicker than most humans even those with powers. Your body is using the chemicals to heal itself. The damages that you took to your body and brain took a while to heal, which is why when you woke up starving you devoured everything in sight." Izuku widened his eyes, it all made sense to him, but there was one question that was still on his mind.
"Are you saying that I have a quirk?" When the doctor heard the question from the teen, he didn't hesitate to nod his head and verified his answer. Izuku was now gobsmacked, he had a quirk.
A quirk, an actual superpower. He finally has one, but Izuku notices something while the doctor continues to talk. He noticed how his mouth and his words started to slow down, like he was going in slow motion.
Izuku raised an eyebrow and turned to his dad and saw that he was the same way. His head was moving up and down in a very slow manner. He then looked to Nejire to see that she was the same for when she blinked, it seemed like it took forever.
'What the hell?' Izuku thought in his mind as it seemed like the world around him just slowed down.
"Izuku?" Izuku heard Nejire call him and shook his head, he looked around and he saw that everything seemed to be back to normal. 'That was weird.' Izuku listened as his father spoke to the doctor asking him if he could go home.
The doctor told Naomasa that Izuku was able to go home. When Izuku heard that he couldn't wait to get out of bed and get home, he could only imagine how much homework he had to get done. Tomorrow would also be the day that he finds out that what happened to him today was no accident or illusion.
Naomasa drove Izuku and Nejire home in his car, he kept his eyes on the road, but would also take a peek to see the two teens talking with each other. He could see that his son was shy when talking to the cyan haired girl, it was normal for every guy that was ever next to their crush.
Nejire caught Izuku on the events of the seven months, the emergence of Star Labs, All Might rumored to be teaching at UA in the coming months, but best of all was that Nejire's mentor in Ryukyu is now dating a famous playboy by the name of Hisashi Kamado. Izuku was surprised by that last one, he knows that Nejire looks up to Ryukyu and wonders what her boyfriend is like. He had to be interesting if he was a playboy.
When they arrived home, Nejire waved goodbye, but before she actually left, he gave Izuku another big hug telling that she was happy and glad that he was up and awake. Izuku hugged her back, but with a massive blush on his face. It was for obvious reasons that Izuku could feel her breast on his chest. Naomasa chuckled and went into the house, he didn't need to stay out here any longer. Right now, this moment was for Izuku and Nejire.
"Hey, Nejire." Nejire broke the hug to look at Izuku; she was a bit taller than him, so she was looking down at him.
"I-I'm going to try to go to the UA. Now that I have my quirk, I think...I am going to apply for the hero class." Nejire smiled and hugged Izuku again, she waited for him to announce that to her and now when he comes she will be his senpai and senior. Nejire will be in her third and final year, but that final year will be special for she will not only graduate from UA, but she will also have her best friend with her in UA.
"I'm so happy for you Izuku. I can't wait for you to meet some of the teachers, they are all nice. Oh, and when you get there I can introduce you to two of my classmates. Mirio and Tamaki, they are great guys and I know you three will get along great." Izuku nodded his head, but he was not really listening because he was staring at her sky blue eyes. They were so pretty and they looked even better than in the night sky.
"Compliment them, kiddo." A voice spoke in Izuku's head, and for some reason he listened to it.
"Your eyes are so pretty." The comment made Izuku widen his eyes, for he couldn't believe that he just did that, but it also made Nejire widen her own. Nejire didn't expect to hear that from Izuku, and it made her blush, her cheeks turned red, and now this time she turned into Izuku.
"W-W-Wow...Uh, th-thanks Izuku." Nejire was stuttering like she was Izuku and both of them couldn't believe it. Nejire was always the cool one, and now she is a blushing mess. How could one compliment about her eyes turn her into this? It's not like people have not complimented her eyes before.
'But it sounded so different coming from him.' Nejire thought to herself and walked home, waving goodbye. Izuku didn't know what to think, but he was pretty certain that he heard a voice in his head. It sounded like the same exact voice that he heard in his dream. The man with the lightning bolt on his chest. Izuku narrowed his eyes and his mouth became a flat line, he went into his house heading to his room and grabbed his notebook.
The moment he opened them up he began to draw the costume of the man that he saw in the blue tunnel with lighting. His costume looks very similar to the one that killed his mother, but the difference was that this man seemed more heroic. Who could this man be? Izuku does not know, but he will find out soon.
Next Day
The next day came, Naomasa and Izuku were in the car heading to his school. They had a meeting with the principal to talk about Izuku's make-up work. This was an interesting kind of situation for Izuku who had been in a coma for seven months, which meant he missed seven months worth of work. Izuku would have a whole lot of catching up to do, and it will not be easy, especially if he plans to go to UA in the coming months.
The exams are in three months, which means Izuku has to complete seven months of work which include tests, homework, and projects and still have room to train in the next three months. Talk about impossible things. But in the words of Naruto, the impossible is just a word for those who can't figure out how to do it. Izuku will pass his work and he will be a hero. He doesn't know how yet, but he will do it.
Izuku got out of the car and his father got out as well, they both headed to the principal's office. Izuku walked slower for some reason, he was really just taking it all in. It has been so long since he's been back, and nothing has changed.
"You go on dad. I will catch up in a sec." Naomasa nodded his head and went to the principal's office, he figured that Izuku wanted some alone time. Most likely he wanted to reflect on some things, especially when he returned to the scene of the crime.
Izuku walked to the chemistry room to see that the door was open, he opened it and walked in. When Izuku got in, he saw that the window had been repaired from the damages of the lighting bolt. Izuku just stood in the room, replaying the events of what happened to him on that day.
He was near the window when the lightning struck, the sting of thousands of bolts of electricity hitting his body made him unconscious. When he blacked out, he didn't feel the crash of his body into the chemicals.
He didn't feel the liquid drip on him, and most of all, he didn't hear the scream of Nejire when she found him passed out and unresponsive. Most of all he couldn't forget that robotic voice of the one that spoke to him. A man named Deku proclaimed that he has information on the man that killed his mother.
Izuku kept this info to himself and didn't want his friends to know. He will have to do some digging on his own. His adopted father was a detective, so he picked up on a few few things. He will be able to handle this himself. Izuku was about to leave and join his father when he was stopped by a voice that he didn't miss during his comatose state.
"Well, well, well, the lighting boy has come back from the dead." Izuku turned around to see Katsuki flagged by his goons as usual. It seems that nothing has changed since he has been asleep.
"Katsuki, I'm not in the mood. I just woke up from a seven month coma, and I don't feel like dealing with your BS." Katsuki could see that Izuku got bold, he would have to put him in place.
Katsuki and goons grinned as the explosive teen was about to put Izuku in his place. Izuku didn't expect to say all that, where did that even come from, the teen wondered. He saw that Katsuki was about to throw an explosive palm at his face, but something strange happened.
Izuku saw Katsuki and his strike slow down, like really slow down. It was exactly like how he was in the hospital yesterday when he saw the doctor, his dad, and Nejire all speaking and moving slowly.
'What the hell? Is everyone moving slow now or...or am I moving fast.' Izuku finished the thought while Katsuki was still on the motion of striking him. The teen just sidestepped him, and when he did, time resumed to its natural state.
Katsuki missed the strike and fell to the floor thanks to his impact. When he landed, he was surprised to see that Izuku dodged the strike, the emerald hair teen himself looking at his hands in shock. Izuku felt something just now, it felt like electricity inside of him. He still doesn't know what's going on, but before Katsuki or him questioned it the principal and Naomasa had found the boys.
"Is there a problem here?" The boys all heard the principal and turned their heads to see the adults. Katsuki got up and brushed himself, he didn't answer the principal and walked off, but not before giving a mean glare to Izuku. Things were not over between the two, but they were changing.
Once Izuku got all his work, he and Naomasa walked back to the car, but Izuku's mind was distracted. He kept going back to what happened with Katsuki. How did he just slow down time to the point Katsuki was moving in slow motion? Was that his quirk? Slowing down time, cause if so, then that would be very cool.
"Hey dad," Naomasa turned to his son to see that he was looking distracted, both had arrived at the car and were about to get in before Izuku called him.
"I...I think I'm going to walk back. I just...just need to clear my head, ya know." Naomasa didn't know, but he could understand it. He has seen before in officers, sometimes one just needs to be alone.
"Alright, son. Just be home before sundown." Izuku nodded his head and put his books in the car. When they were in, he closed the door and hugged his dad goodbye. He then left the school grounds and Nomasa watched him go. He is worried about Izuku, but he knows when the time is right he will tell him what is bothering him.
Izuku began walking through the crowded street, his hands were in his pockets as he kept walking. His mind was everywhere, it was on everything that had happened. From the murder of his mother, being adopted by Naomasa, falling in love with Nejire, getting hit by a bolt of lighting, getting powers, and let's not forget the mysterious Deku.
Speaking of Deku, he has not heard from him yet, and he was the one that told him to look up at the sky to get blasted by a lighting bolt. He wonders what that man...or woman could be doing now.
Unknown to Izuku, his older self was watching from the rooftops above. The man had a pair of technological binoculars that zoomed in on the child. Deku took the binoculars off and looked at his watch, the time was now. If he was right and so far he has been, then the truck should be approaching in three, two, one.
"Showtime." The older Izuku spoke aloud as he put the binoculars back on. He watched as Izuku crossed the street, the teen not paying attention to anything at all. As he was crossing, he heard a loud horn from his side. He and everyone else widened their eyes when they saw a large mack truck coming right towards them.
The truck looked like it wouldn't be stopped, and the driver kept honking the horn in order to warn people that the vehicle was not going to be stopped. He waved his hand to tell them to move, most got the message including Izuku who took his hands out of his pocket and began to book it for the sidewalk. When he made it, he and everyone looked back to see that a child had fallen, the boy's glasses were broken and could not see it.
"Tanjiro!" The child's mother screamed and the truck was still coming, the boy in the middle of the crosswalk. One hit by the large vehicle was going to be the end of him and Izuku knew it. He wanted to help, but he didn't know how to. That was until he heard a familiar voice.
"RUN!" Izuku heard the elder male voice in his head and felt a jolt of power hit like never before. It was like the lighting bolt had hit him again, and this time he was not going to pass out. No, he was going to do what the voice said. No one could see the emerald child that was around had gathered green lighting around his body
Izuku saw time slow down just like the two times before, and when it did, he did what the voice said. He ran. He ran faster than he ever has, faster than anyone could see. In real-time everyone saw the truck near the boy, but before the vehicle could hit him, everyone saw a green blur take the boy.
When they saw that, they widened their eyes as the truck passed them. They looked to the other side to see that Izuku had the little boy in his arms. The teen himself was shocked beyond belief, for he just found out what his quirk was and what it could actually do, but before he could nerd out, he had a truck to stop.
"You ok?" The boy nodded to Izuku's words and he smiled, he gave an All Might smile. Izuku with a new fire that he has never felt before rose to his feet. He looked at his hands and saw the green spark, he felt them vibrate at a high rate and looked ahead. Everyone saw the teen crouched down, they took out their phones so they didn't miss anything, but even with that, it wasn't enough for when they blinked their eyes Izuku was gone in a flash.
Izuku was speeding through the streets, his face was...it was...it could not be described as he kept making his way to the truck. Everyone seems so slow to him, and he now understands why. It wasn't him slowing downtime, no, it was him moving faster than everyone else. And with this new speed he will catch that mack truck. Izuku became determined as he sped faster, green lightning trailing behind him as he came up on the truck.
When Izuku saw the back of the truck, he ran to the driver side, everything slowed down for him as he grabbed the door handle and opened it, seeing the sacred driver. Izuku reached up and unbuckled his seat belt to free him and grabbed him. He then leapt out of the truck when his feet touched the ground, he dashed to the sidewalk where he left the driver.
He then went back to the truck to steer into a building that was still being developed. Izuku made the turn and broke through the gate and steered the truck into a steel beam, but before he crashed opened the door again. He jumped out, and time slowed down as his feet came to the ground.
When they did, he ran out of the construction zone, no one was able to really do anything. All they saw was a green blur speed past him, but there was one who smiled. Deku watched the whole scene with a smile. He had lived through the moment before, but to see it was something else entirely. He can't believe that he actually moved that fast.
When reminiscing came to an end, Deku took out his phone and dialed his number. It was time Izuku knew what he was and what happened to him on the fateful day seven months ago. Izuku was...he was feeling something, but he didn't know what.
If he could describe it, it would be one word it would be awesome. That whole thing was awesome, spectacular, amazing, crazy, and insane. Ok, so there were many words to describe what he just went through, but who cares. All that matters is Izuku just saved the day. He has a quirk. He has super speed, and now he has a power that will help him catch the man that killed his mother. He finally can catch him.
*VRRM* Izuku heard his phone ring and looked at the caller ID, it said unknown. Izuku answered it anyway because he had a feeling that this unknown call may be Deku and he was right.
"Deku?" Older Izuku smiled when he heard his younger voice, the elder man activated the voice modulation on his suit that would hide his true voice.
"Hello Izuku, it's good to see up and moving again. It would seem your sleep helped you gain the speed that you will need." Izuku could see that Deku was getting right to the point as always, he didn't miss a beat. Izuku figured that Deku must be watching him from somewhere, but he didn't know where.
"Where are you?"
"Don't bother looking. Even with your newfound speed, you will not be able to find me. For now, just listen." Izuku didn't say anything as he listened to Deku words, words that shook him to the core and opened a new realm of possibilities.
"Your powers are not ordinary, Izuku. You have been chosen by a cosmic force that has given you its powers. The Speed Force is what it's called, and you, my green-haired friend, are now a speedster. Just like the voice you've heard in your head...and just like the man that killed your mother. And before you go thinking that you can take him, stop. You can not. You are not ready yet. That man has decades of experience with the Speed Force and you only have... let's see 5 minutes. You wouldn't stand a chance."
"Then what is your purpose?" Deku smiled even more as he gave Izuku a proposition, an offer that he knew he couldn't resist. Things may be different, but he knows himself better than anyone, and he knows that his younger self wants to catch him more than he does.
"I offer you advice and knowledge on the Speed Force. Think of me as your sensei on your hero journey, I will train you on your powers. Every time I call you will pick up and I will tell more and more about the force and the abilities that you can do. And, with time and training, I will tell you of the man that murder your mother. Then when we pick our moment right, you can go avenge her."
"Why help me?" Izuku asked with raised eyebrows and Deku had to hold back a laugh, he forgot how cautious he younger self was. It was actually quite annoying.
"Because like you, that man took everything away from me as well." Izuku heard the line go dead after that. Deku had hung up and didn't even say goodbye. Izuku put the phone away and then looked at his hands to see them vibrating. He smiled and crouched down.
"So I'm a speedster...then let's see how fast I can go!" With that last sentence Izuku took off running into the streets, no one could see him, and damn sure no one could catch him. The speedster was born, but Izuku has yet to scratch the surface of his powers.
For now, he will enjoy the fruits of his new powers, but come tomorrow, training will begin. The exams are right around the corner, and Deku plans to have Izuku ready.
Few Minutes Later
Deku walked down the road, soon seeing a black limousine pull up in front of him. Deku stopped moving as the driver of the long black vehicle got out revealing a woman with pale skin and white hair wearing black suit. The woman opened the back door for her boss and allowed Deku to enter the vehicle.
"Thank you, Caitlin. You can take me back to the house." The woman named Caitlin nodded her head, but before closing the door she asked her boss a question.
"Did he live up to your expectations, sir?"
"Yes, yes he did. The future is bright for Izuku and he could very well be the best, if he doesn't die first. That reminds me, tell Cisco to prepare our project. The lab rat is ready and we will begin tomorrow."
"As you wish, master Hisashi. Also I would prefer not to be called that name anymore." Deku forgot, Caitlin doesn't like being reminded of her old name. She prefers her new name, the name that she gave herself.
"Yes, my apologies, Frost." Frost, now hearing the name she wished to be called closed the door and went to the driver seat of the luxurious vehicle. She soon began to drive and take her master to his home. Izuku will begin his training, but what will Deku have in store for his younger self when they meet. Stay tuned.
To be continued
AN: You have seen the second chapter. For those that remember that old version I have changed some things. I added Cisco and Killer Frost to Team Deku to help train young Izuku. Lady Nagant is not a OC, she is a character that is canon in the my hero world and brand new. She belongs to the author of my hero and for those that know her cool, for those that want to know her look her up she is badass. Her quirk is called Rifle.
Long story short Deku has changed somethings in the past to better himself and Izuku when the times comes and help them both take down Zoom. Deku has lost a significant amount of his powers, he's is not the speedster that he once was, but he knows enough to train Izuku.
Yes, Deku is dating the Dragon Queen, young izuku dating Nejire and older dating her teacher and mentor, come on. How will this effect both ladies when they find out that they are literally the same man. Izuku's hero name will be Flash, he will after Zoom and as for One For All I have chosen a successor, so don't worry we are good on that department. I think that is all I have to say, but if you have questions then as always PM or put in the comment box and it will be answered in the chapter. Peace out.
