The next morning saw the brother and sister pair walking toward the bullhead docks. Dove Arc, acquiring the last name of his late mother who never returned from the mission that claimed her life. A stark reminder of how perilous the job of being a Huntsmen meant and that he shouldn't take the next four years for granted. That was why he had a contingency plan for many things in his notebook. Even if his notebook was burnt or destroyed then he had a copy of it on his scroll and then on the cloud. He was prepared. He sister stood at the fidgeting to the side, a pocket watch in hand, checking the time over and over while they waited for the airship to arrive.

"Don't be so nervous, despite being in jail yesterday I'm pretty sure they won't just kick us out of Beacon" Dove reassured his sister.

"I for one never planned to be arrested, my schedule is in disarray" she huffed. "At the very least we arrived on time for the airship to take us to Beacon and not be late for orientation."

The siblings looked around the airport terminal where other potential students were milling around. There was a boy with black hair and a staff was shuffling his feet. A snow angel sat while chatting with a ruffian rogue with a mohawk the mohawk rogue seemed to be talking excitedly while waving his arms around while the snow angel seemed to smirk at his antics. A man stood with his arms crossed, several dust crystals hung at his belt

"Look the airship is here!" Dove pointed at the descending form of the vehicle and he felt Ciel relax. "Thanks" she said simply and Dove nodded his head.

As the airship landed, people started to gather their belongings and head toward the entrance to board. "I've gotten intel from one of the students already attending Beacon that we'll be placed on teams of four. Initiation will be launching us from the cliffs and retrieving relics from some ruins in the field. Teams are made of two partners where partners are formed by making eye contact with each other." Dove started to rattle off details from his investigation. It helped that he was prepared himself ahead of time, imagine how foolish it would look if he was launched from the pad with no landing strategy.

He thought about his weapon Hallshott, a sword with ranged capabilities, not powerful enough to stop himself from falling without damage. Of course he had several backup plans in place. Good thing he found out ahead of time, now among his possessions he was now the proud owner of a parachute and as a proud brother he got one for Ciel too. Now... what if they disallow bringing items? Would he have enough time to register it as his weapon?

Dove quickly looked up the Beacon weapon registration form and quickly submitted it, and for good measures he also submitted one for Ciel as well, What a good brother he was.

While he started the process of registration, Ciel Amitola stood at the side looking out the window toward Beacon Academy, the place that she will be studying for the next four years if everything goes according to plan. It was funny how it turned out that both her brother and herself come to plan things in advance. She reminisce about her mom, Ilia Amitola, was impulsive and critical. "People should take actions to help Faunus, Stop standing around do something." With a mom like that you'd expect for them to go out and do things, and they did its just... Ciel remembered her mom's ill-planned trip to convince others to take action... They were banned from entering the village for a time... its part of why they live in a cabin in the middle of the forest.

When her other mom came into the picture she tended to go along with Ilia's antics, Saphron Amitola-Arc was a wonderful mother, kind, caring and funny and deeply understanding but she tended to do things to please her wife, Saphron always claimed that it came from coming from a big family of 10 people.

Nope with how the two always went into spontaneous bouts of activities the unpredictability left much to be desired, so here they were now, two siblings who needed to plan the journey in the stead of their spontaneous parents... they were such kids at times. Ciel peeked at her watch, 20 minutes since they've launched, right on time!

She casually watched the news which showcased the robbery from yesterday which included a mugshot of Octavia Embers. Afterwards the screen shifted to talk about the civil rights protest. Ciel only grimaced as the logo of the White Fang popped up... Mom is gonna have another fit about this, I should call her later" Ciel thought to herself as the broadcast was interrupted.

Before the news was interrupted another figure stood watching the White Fang logo and grimaced. "Its alright I left that life behind me, I shouldn't even think about what they're up to." The figure muttered to themselves, but they paced. It wasn't like they gave up the last several years trying to make sure everything was right. She was unimpressed with how her parents were running things, the faunus kept being stepped over and abused or enslaved in the Goodwitch Dust Mines. After defecting with her childhood friend she only wanted to do what was right, to take action when everything else failed... and her best friend had become a monster... not wanting to become just like she had left after he had wanted to blow up a train.

"Li Ren... you used to be so tranquil... what happened." The girl gripped her spear and sighed. Time to turn over a new leaf, it would show her parents that she too could become better or else her name wasn't Dew Mustang.

A hologram of a person appeared and Ciel turned her attention to it, tapping her brother to direct him to the new person, she watched in anticipation. A dark-skinned red-haired guy stood addressing the crowd.

"Welcome to Beacon!" The both of them knew who it was, Fox Alistair, Deputy Headmaster of Beacon Academy, anyone who did research of their potential school would know it. "I am Fox Alistair and I commend you on your bravery for being the next Huntsmen and Huntresses to attend this fine institution. The world may be at peace for now, but it is your duty to uphold it. I expect much from you so take the resources and training we are offering and do you part."

Fox disappeared as many people started to exclaim at the sights of the academy coming into view.

"This will be an interesting four years" Ciel said to herself.

I made the mistake of cutting off Episode 1 of Volume 1 into two. It gives me content but now I have to think of fluff to flavor the world. which I think is interesting and challenging. Hope you liked the exposition
