My first real attempt at combat, hopefully you can follow it! Pyrrha's chapters are going to be 'mostly' serious. Sometimes... not always...

Ever since she was a little girl, Pyrrha had always wanted to be a hero. She had always wanted to help those that needed to be helped, to do more than she was born and stationed into doing. But fate wasn't kind, in a world where most individuals were born with supernatural abilities, Pyrrha was born with none. She knew her parents meant well for her, she absolutely knew that, but it didn't make her feel any better when they told her that she couldn't be a hero. To her it felt like no one was on her side, that no one believed in her. The part of her brain that was realistic told her as such as well. That unfortunately not everyone was created equal. But she didn't care, if that was what Fate had in mind for her she would ignore it, she would make her own destiny and push herself forward!

So Pyrrha decided to excel, when someone told her that she couldn't do it that she couldn't push herself past her limits she would every single time. She would push herself to the point that not only were her grades in school always the top, but she was also able to excel at almost anything she did. Her excellence would earn her the ire of her classmates, obviously no one wanted to be with friends with someone who tried too hard. Despite telling herself that it didn't matter, that she would only ever rely on herself. She did get lonely, and the words of others did affect her heart, like millions of knives stabbing into herself esteem.

Still she endured, endured the words of her peers of her teachers of the adults and children around her. Over and over the naysayers would say that she couldn't achieve her goal that she wouldn't ever be a hero. But she didn't care, she just… she just needed to push further than anyone else. However, one day during elementary school she felt the weight of all her efforts pull down on her. She felt as if she was going to give in and would never be able to achieve her goal. But then she met them, the dorkiest duo in existence. A young girl with red tipped black hair and silver eyes who wore a cape wherever she went, and a young boy with hair of golden wheat and blues of deep sapphire.

They were her first, and best friends, where everyone else didn't believe in her they did. In fact more than anyone else they were in awe of her goal. Apparently they shared her enthusiasm, they too wanted to be heroes and wanted to push themselves past their own limits. And for the first time since she had started to reach for her goal she finally felt like she could do it. LIke she could push her limits out of the way and be what it is she felt she was meant to be.

And as it turned out, things come to those who strive for it. One day during her late night jog she was approached by a strange creature…

"Hello!" A black vortex of cosmic energy suddenly ruptured and broke through in front of her, a rabbit with the colors of the night phased into existence in front of her.

Pyrrha did not scream, Pyrrha Nikos does not scream in terror even if an otherworldly Bunny appears in front of her. She also does not panic, grab said bunny and then toss into the ground in fear!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Pyrrha did in fact grab said Bunny, and she did in fact throw it to the ground, she was about to stomp on it

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!" The little cosmic rabbit was yelling! THE COSMIC RABBIT WAS YELLING! Pyrrha was not in fact freaking out, no she was absolutely the picture of absolute calm and collection. She continued to tell herself this even as she was about ready to squash the little thing into non existence. Though as she raised her foot it began to yell out in panic, "Wait wait wait please don't squish me!"

The little thing froze as Pyrrha's foot stopped centimeters away from it's head. Once she took the time to pull her foot back it suddenly got up and flew a few feet away from her obviously terrified.

She took the time to examine the thing that had suddenly appeared in front of her. Now that she got a better look it was a small celestial looking rabbit. Much like the night sky above her it was black with an almost… it looked like it had a small galaxy forming in it. And despite it's small size she couldn't shake that gnawing feeling of unease that she got from it. So doing what she would do in any type of dangerous situation, she rose her hands up ready to defend herself.

"Whoa! Hold up please!" The Rabbit frantically swayed back and forth.

"You! You're talking to me! Rabbits can't speak!" So she knew that was a stupid comment to make, after all it was flying! They didn't fly either, nor did they look like a celestial constellation!

The rabbit paused, tilting its head to the side it gave her a confused look. "Well yeah, I'm not from round here!"

"Right… right, that's obvious but…" She had so many questions yet couldn't even begin to fathom where to start. How could she even start?

"Mmmm, you're prolly confused." The rabbit tapped it's paw against it's chin, which was a rather interesting sight to behold. The rabbit began to shift, it's body swaying gently in the air. One thing she noticed was that the space around it was distorting. Rising on its hind legs it pressed its paw against its chest. "My name is Lemaitre, I am the being who guards all within our universe!" Pyrrha blinked a few times as the space around him sparked much like a stage show.

"Uhm, I'm sorry?" She really didn't know what else to say.

"No need to be sorry, young one! I have come to you today to offer you a once in a millenia chance!" Something she had been picking up on was that whenever he spoke her mind felt at ease. As if he was some comforting force that she didn't really understand.

"Uhm, what do you mean?" She was trying to remain polite, obviously confused.

"I would like to offer you the chance to be a hero!" She shook, she couldn't help it! Her heart beat rapidly in her chest as she stared the rabbit down. Something… he…

"Please don't mess with me…" She felt a stinging prick on the corners of her eyes. "I… I would appreciate it if you…"

Before she could finish, another warmth filled her chest as the Rabbit grew closer. "My precious child~ I do not make false claims." The Rabbit's voice began to comfort and soothe her. "I've come here, in search of something, in search of one that could help me. This planet… it's an anomaly. There are so many powerful and intriguing beings… but amongst all of them I found you." It stopped as images flowed through her head, all of the times she was told no,all of the times she strived harder and harder. Her fists clenched as he spoke again, "I have found no one with a heart so pure, one who pushes forward even when the world would defy her. I have decided for you to be my Chosen."

"Sniff` What?" She wasn't being exactly eloquent but honest she really couldn't be blamed.

"I have seen many powerful beings, many strong individuals… some… far more terrifying than others." She watched him shiver, his tone unfortunately cryptic. "But I digress. I've seen your attempts, you've never let anything hold you down. I've seen how you've gone out of your way to help others! I for one believe that you have what it takes to be my champion! After all, I can only have the best!" She could feel a strong sense of smugness come from the little being.

She wasn't sure though… she wanted to be a hero, wanted to help everyone! But she wasn't sure she could trust his words. Was he lying to her? Was what he was saying the truth? She had no way of knowing. But she felt something pull on her, a vague sense of triumph, something that urged her forward. She could do this, she believed she could. But she needed to know a few things before she accepted. Determination running through her veins she turned towards him once more.

"So what exactly is it you're trying to fi…" Pyrrha didn't get to finish her sentence. The very air around her vibrated as the world shook. Her heart throbbed violently in her chest as the air in her lungs rapidly escaped, short of breath she fell to the floor her legs shaking and quivering. Her emerald eyes fell upon a vortex, the world itself was cracking apart. What happened next would be forever embedded into her memories. A humanoid of sorts appeared in front of her, or at least she had believed it to be a man. Wrapped in a blood red carapace, a large insectoid like creature stepped through. The beast looked like a warped ant, one which stepped upon two long powerful legs. The very ground ruptured upon every step it made. She noticed upon it's back massive ant like wings that looked like they were made of wax.

The very beast's existence appeared unnatural as the world around it continued to warp, as if closing upon it trying to remove it from its very existence. Even as the world attempted to erase it's being, it continued to stare at her. It's compound eyes watched every movement she made. When it could feel her fear it stopped moving.

"TK TK TK TK TK TK TK!" It's mandibles clattered together as it's arms spread out. Massive claws appeared upon it's long digit like fingers. The rattling could only be likened to a cruel laugh, the beast in front of her could feel her very fear and it was enjoying every moment of it!

Pyrrha's blood ran hot in her veins. Her heart rate rapidly pulsed through her body as her blood pumped wildly. For the first time in her life she felt fear, true unadulterated terror. She fell into a cold sweat as the thing in front of her jittered back and forth. It's ant like head twitched and contorted with every movement. It's every move was erratic as it practically vibrated with every step in front of her. She had seen so many villains and monsters on the television and news. But this had been her first encounter with one. She… she was going to die here wasn't she?

"No… no…" Lemaitre shook violently on her shoulder, even the ever powerful rabbit appeared terrified by the beast in front of her. "No why… why is it here?" His voice was a small whisper as it looked on in fear. She didn't get the chance to ask what he meant, as the insect's eyes fell upon Lemaitre. She could feel the poor rabbit practically vibrate on her shoulder.

The next few seconds were quiet as the monster ran it's long jagged claw across its neck, "TK TK TK TK TK! I FOUND YOU." It's voice sounded like a garbled mess, she could feel the inane scratching ripping apart at her eardrums the moment it began to speak.

Pyrrha didn't waste time, even with her body wrapped in a cold fearful grasp she turned around and fled. She fled as fast as she could, her muscles burned as tears stung her eyes. Exhaustion hit her harder than she expected, her mind however pushed her forward as adrenaline coursed through her veins. Her heart thumped loudly in her ears as she ran, ran with all her might.

"STOP!" She felt a sudden force slam her down, before she even had the chance to complain she watched as the space in front of her ruptured. A claw like gash formed in the air as it rippled and vanished upon an invisible barrier. Then she heard the buzzing sound that followed, then the sizzling scent of vaporized air. She turned back to see the Ant's claws extended. It hadn't even moved from it's spot, instead it kept its eyes upon her.

'What was that!?' Her mind couldn't wrap around what happened, or WHAT it had just hit. She felt herself be tugged at the collar, her body suddenly spazzed and popped from existence. The next thing she knew she was plopped onto the ground, another location in the park far from the creature.

"We… we lost it for now." Lemaitre eyed their surroundings, he was looking for the creature. But Pyrrha felt something, her eyes began to flicker as something seeped into her. Then she saw it, they were surrounded by a distorted bubble.

"What… what's going on?"

Lemaitre released a reluctant sigh, "The Universe is trying to forcefully eject that THING, and… and I'm doing my all to keep it from escaping…" She noticed a faint glow outlining Lemaitre's body.

"Was… was that what you were talking about?"

Lemaitre nodded it's head, "Yes, that… that thing is not… it's not from our universe. It wants… it wants to devour everything. It's part of an Organization that lives to consume and destroy worlds, galaxies, universes…" That sent a chill down Pyrrha's spine.

"You want me to fight those things?" She was starting to panic till she saw the regret in Lemaitre's eyes as he nodded.

"Yes… though I wasn't expecting them this fast… I also wasn't expecting one of the higher beings to show up so soon. I should have had more time to keep them out! I should have been able to… but they've been getting stronger." Pyrrha felt a mixture of dread and pity for the smaller creature.

Pyrrha wanted to ask why her? But she didn't get the chance as the air around them began to shift. Even she could tell that thing was drawing closer. She bit her lip, nearly drawing blood as she stared at Lemaitre. "What do I have to do?"

"What?" Lemaitre stared at her blankly for a moment, "No no! I'm sorry, I'm going to try to get you out of here! I wasn't planning to have you fight THAT thing, not yet at least!" She could tell there was genuine guilt in his voice. And as scared as she was, her body was shaking slightly, she knew she had to do it as they were apparently cut off from the rest of the world.

"I'll do it." She stared him down, not backing down, "If I don't…" She heard a loud crack causing her to take a peak around, the bug like creature was trying to cut through the barrier. "If I don't… people will get hurt." She knew that she could die, and honestly she was terrified.

After a few seconds of nothing but ear rupturing screeching Lemaitre conceded. "Okay."

Pyrrha nodded back to him, though she took a brief moment to think about her friends. She knew that she could and would most likely die here… 'I'm sorry Jaune… Ruby…'

She watched Lemaitre glow, his body warped as the very universe seemed to pass through his body. "I grant thee power beyond comprehension! From now on you are to be known as Magical Girl Solaris!"

"Wait! Magical Girl?!" She didn't get an answer as her body erupted in power. The clanking sound coming from the ant stopped as it eyed her direction.

"TK TK TK TK TK!" Pyrrha could hear it's clacking draw closer as the air shifted. It's pace grew quicker as it vanished from view. It's razor like claws were upon her, she could practically feel her body being torn in twain. However, just before the strike met contact her body erupted in a blinding light, the world around her fell to a standstill as the monster's claws halted just before her.

She felt power surge through her, her eyes began to shine brightly like the emeralds they resembled. The power that filled her, sent powerful quakes through her very being. No not just her! The air around her vibrated violently as the world cracked. The light which consumed her body began to die down, she felt different. No she looked different! Her clothes had changed, where her jogging shorts and shirt had been, she was now fully clothed in an odd outfit. One she would have found embarrassing had it not been for the situation. Clad in golds and bronzes she noticed a sash upon her waist. Knee high boots, as well as fingerless gloves that reached her elbows.

"I'm sorry… I was hoping you'd get a chance to get used to your powers… thank you and I'm sorry." She turned back to Lemaitre who was glowing faintly, his body rocking back and forth in the air. "Prepare yourself."

The world began to move again as the creature's claws drew closer. She jumped back in the nick of time as time began to flow once more. She barely had time to pay attention to where she had been, the very earth was rendered into pieces as it's claws sent invisible slashes rendering the ground into tiny pieces a massive crater of perfectly cut ground erupted into the sky. "DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE!"

She dodged to the left barely avoiding the creature's body as it attempted a full body tackle on her. The air around it warped as its wings vibrated flapping and inconceivable speeds. She could barely keep up with it's speed as another claw came down upon her. Moving to the right just in time the earth exploded as crystal like ruptures slashed through the space sundering it empty.

She could smell the burning ozone once more, it's head snapped towards her again, it's eyes began to grow crimson. It was starting to see her as a threat, she wasn't sure how she knew this but the fact that the pressure around it began to sap the air from her lungs was a huge identifier.

"What do I-!" She didn't get to ask the question as it was upon her once more. This time its claws had descended and its hand was now balled into a fist obviously going for a quick jab. In response she did the only thing she could think of. Tired of running away she gathered her strength, an inconceivable power coursed through her first as she let loose a powerful punch. Their knuckles clashed and crackled as the world around both fell to a halt.

For what felt like minutes but only amounted to milliseconds the two stood there. Suddenly both the ground splintered as a crater formed beneath them. She felt pain surge through her arm as it was ripped into shreds, gritting her teeth she did her best not to cry out in pain. Thankfully something was driving her forward or the pain would have been enough to put her down. She would have panicked if she hadn't noticed the very air crackle and snap. Like Spiderwebs cracking on a mirror the very air shattered and suddenly the ant's body was torn asunder! A massive gust of force shattered and powered through its very being. The air and earth behind it exploded in a surge of energy as the barrier fizzled and held in place.

"Wha!?" She realized that she wasn't the only one surprised! Apparently Lemaitre was just as impressed by the very move itself!

"TK TK TK TK TK!" She didn't have the time to find out what had happened as the creatures' mandibles clacked together. It's jaw extended wide, a purple visage of energy formed around it's pinchers. She ducked barely avoiding her head being ripped right off. Jumping back to put some space between her and the ant she realized something!

All the damage she had done was gone, it's body had repaired and the cracks upon its exoskeleton had suddenly vanished. Then she realized that the pain in her own arm was gone. Eyeing her right arm briefly she realized that any damage had been reversed. "So we can heal. That's a thing."

Once more she didn't have time as it suddenly began to shrink in size. It's exoskeleton thinned as it took a more human-like figure. The sudden change confused her till it vanished from her view. Her instincts kicked in as she felt the shift in the world around her.

She needed to move now! She could feel the death hanging around her neck as the creature formed at her back. Its hand extended forward like a knife in an attempt to jut through her. Her mental synapses snapped forward as she tried to think of how to escape, it was far too fast to dodge!

'Move Move move move!' And right as she felt her back being pierced behind her heart she willed herself to move. In an instant her and the ant had changed places. Unfortunately any semblance of advantage this would have given her was ruined by her own surprise. The ant itself beat its wings rapidly forcing her back as the air around it began to slice through its surroundings.

'Okay I can change places with things?' She wasn't sure, it had been an accident!

'How are you using so much power?!' So Lemaitre had no idea either!

She wished she had some form of manual! Or for Lemaitre to give her instructions, but now wasn't the time. "AAAAH!" She cried out in pain as she felt her body literally shred to pieces.

Her eyes snapped forward as her vision split. The ant had moved forward again, it's claws had ripped through her slicing through her body like a white hot knife through butter! She was going to die, she was going to die! At least she should have been dead! Then her body reformed as it's attack passed her. The excruciating pain ran through her and nearly dropped her to the floor.

Sweat dripped off of her body as fear clutched her heart.

"SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" The ant roared into the air as it's wings beat fast.

She was alive! How was she alive?! She had been killed; she was sure of it!

'You're fine so long as either your heart or brain still function!'

"What?!" She didn't get another answer as she barely avoided another blow, this time in the form of a fist that shot past her. The trees behind her cracked as the air force created by the blow splintered them into pieces.

She didn't want to get hit again, even if she could survive them the pain was enough to make her want to die. Fighting back tears she let her body relax for a moment. "Lemaitre!"

'Yes!?' She had to dodge another attack as the dang things foot came down on her in an attempt to stomp her out. She thankfully had begun to piece together a few things. Thankfully the only thing that was there when the ant crushed the earth beneath it was a splintered tree trunk.

"What are my powers based on?!" She avoided another spacial rend as the ant swiped at the air in front of it. She was starting to hate the smell or burning ozone nearly gagging at the nauseating scent.

"Oh uh!" Once more she avoided another blow, this time another foot attempting to crush her into dust.

"Hurry please!" She panicked as the ant folded its fingers together, sending a horizontal chop with it's right hand. She felt the ends of her hairs singe from the intense heat radiating off of him.

"Space! It's based on the universe!"

She nearly froze, but thankfully had enough wits to push forward slamming the ant in the abdomen pushing it down for a brief moment. SPACE! That explained her other abilities! She didn't know the limitations and would have liked a more thorough rundown, but seeing as she was currently fighting for her life and running out of breath, she would have to make do.

She concentrated on the core of her stomach as she channeled the same feeling from her first blow. There it was! Her eyes began to warp and sparkle, gone were the whites of her sclera and the emerald of her iris, all that remained was a deep void of purple and blacks.

"TK TK TK TK!" She heard it's mandibles clap together as it realized the danger of the situation. "SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" The air warped as vibrations radiated off of its body. It's legs extended as it grew in height, now clearly towering over her. It's wings extended further, multiplying from a pair to a set of 6. She couldn't even see how fast they were flapping as the air rippled around it.

She wasn't sure if it hadn't been taking her seriously before now, but it definitely was now. She felt the very space around her vibrate as ripples formed and suddenly hundreds if not thousands of spacial rends launched from its body! She wasn't going to be able to dodge not when the entire dome was about to be filled with blades that would rip her into shreds. So she decided to wing it, hoping for the best she threw both her hands forward.

Her heart pounded in her chest as panic filled her, but as the blades were about to shred her into tiny little pieces a purple void formed in front of her. The incoming attacks were absorbed and consumed by the starry space.

'Good good!' She thought to herself, that had worked out well enough! Though she had to avoid another powerful blow as he was suddenly to her right. Unfortunately she couldn't completely dodge this one as she felt her ribcage shatter into tiny fragments. The Ant's knee made contact with her side as a loud crack and snap popped from her insides.

There was a brief pause in action until the air around them erupted and her body was sent flying, crashing into several trees and ricocheting off the ground. Finally she hit the barrier and bounced off of it as it rippled. Before she could get her bearings she felt her jaw clench as the Ant's first made contact with her lower mouth shattering and splintering her mouth.

The overwhelming pain she felt shook her to her very core as she was sent skidding across the ground. Tears formed and blurred her vision as she skid across the earth. Her body finally came to a stop as she lay flat on her stomach. Every breath burned as her lungs worked overtime to pull in as much air as they could. She wasn't sure but she felt as if her heart had stopped.

Time seemed to still as loud crunching made its way over to her. And although she couldn't see it, she could feel the Ant's leg above her head. She was going to die, 'I'm going to die!' No she wouldn't let herself die! With haste another portal appeared behind her back, however instead of absorbing the coming attack it released several spacial rends.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" The creature screamed in pain as its own attacks were used against it. She felt it flew even as the sound of crunching and dismembering reached her ears. Once more she resisted the bile that bubbled within her throat.

Thankfully this had given her enough time to recover, willing herself upwards despite the death defying pain she was going through.

Once on her feet she had to avoid another blow as the ant appeared in front of her again, it's fist striking in her direction. Ducking just below it's fist she took a step forward with her left foot. The energy in her body welled in her right fist as she struck forward. The air splintered as she released a powerful blow. A shockwave erupted from behind the ant as its body was blown backwards. Everything behind it shook, even the barrier fizzled at the strength of the blow. She watched it get up, its body tittering back and forth. The bloodlust it was oozing was palpable despite their distance from one another.

As it lunged forward and its wings spread out, she pulled back with her left arm bringing it to her side. With as much force as she could muster she slammed the bottom of her balled fist into the air. Once more space cracked and ripped as another shockwave shot towards the Ant.

She watched as the force blew it backwards, shattering its exoskeleton with extreme force. Before it could get up she reached out with both hands. She could feel something, as if space had a tangible form she grabbed it much like she would grab a cloth. Pulling down with all her might she released.

The Ant and all of the loose rubble around it flew into the sky. The confusion gave her enough time to make use of it. A portal appeared below her feet, her body suddenly on top of the confused and dazed monster she let her right foot rise and fall slamming into the top of its head cracking it's chiten like plating.

She didn't fall after it though, instead she took a quick step forward. Her body rotated in a 180 degree angle as if she was stepping on solid ground, allowing her to stand upside down in the space above the weakened insect. Squatting down she put as much strength into her legs as she could. She could feel her blood pumping as the adrenaline kicked into high gear. Throwing all of her strength into it she threw herself forward, a few seconds later the air popped where she once was as a sonic boom echoed behind her.

The Ant had no time to react as she hit it with the full force of her body, tackling into the floor causing the already splintered earth to quake and literally shatter. The following explosion shook the spacial cage around them, cracking it for a brief second.

Throwing herself back as her body shook from the sheer force she'd just unleashed she tried to take a moment to breath.

However, she wasn't allowed the time. Slower than before, most likely due to the pain it was experiencing, another closed fist came for her. She barely dodged it but the force around it was enough to rattle her brain as the vibrations hit her.

In her own dazed state she wasn't fast enough to avoid the slower but powerful foot that hit her in the midsection sending her flying once more. Thankfully she had enough wits to create another portal, pulling her in and then dropping her safely if not painfully on the floor.

When her vision refocused she realized a few things. It was bigger now, gone was it's slim figure and its multiple wings. If it looked like an ant before, now it looked like a beetle of some sorts. "Great…" She lamented to herself.

With each step it took the very earth shook, she could estimate from its current form that it could no longer avoid her attacks and chose not to.

She wasn't sure if any of her blows could damage it, nor was she sure she could even put it down! If she was hard to strike down, then this thing was impossible!

When she felt that this was a fight in frustration and impossibility she heard it speak. "You will die! Everyone you love will die!" It's garbled voice reached her ears. Images of her parents, of Ruby and Jaune lying dead at her feet flashed through her mind. She felt herself become incensed into anger and fury.

NO SHE WOULD NOT LET THAT HAPPEN. She pushed herself off of the ground and got up, she was tired of trying to avoid its blows. Tired of fighting like she couldn't take it.

"You can't hurt me now!"

She paused for a moment, placing her hand against her forehead. She pulled her wet and matted hair backwards pulling out her hair tie and retying her loose hair. "HAHAHAHAH!" He was challenging her! HE WAS TELLING HER SHE COULDN'T! She didn't quite like that.

Putting her left hand to her neck she gave it a good crack, rolling her shoulders to pop them back into place. She took a step forward until she reached the bug who stood over her. Neither of them moved for even the briefest moment, but she could feel the pressure around them intensify.

'What are you doing?!' Lemaitre spoke once more into her head, obviously confused and worried.

She didn't respond, instead she concentrated on her feet as she locked herself into place. She had noticed the bug took this as a challenge in itself and allowed a purple void to match it. A surprisingly sadistic smile cracked upon her face. She hated to admit it, but… but this was what she was looking for! She was enjoying this, far more than she could have.

The bug thing rose it's hand first, but she wasn't nice enough to give it the first attack. Before it could swing at her, she sent a powerful haymaker with her right hand into its side. She was putting all her power into these blows as the very space around each of them warped. She watched it's abdomen crack and splinter as pieces of its exoskeleton ripped off of its body.

However she felt its fist hit her across the face blanking her vision for just a moment. She wasn't sure how much damage it had done to her but she didn't care! She couldn't stop smiling as she released a powerful left blow in response. Once more the space around them quaked! Before it could land another blow however, she sent another powerful right to the middle of it's stomach. The blow cracked the air around them and forced it to reel back with the force she put behind it.

She released another blow, this time to her chest which caused a similar effect as her body rubber banded off the ground and back into place. Gritting her teeth the two began to bash at one another, their bodies splintering and cracking with each blow. For every powerful attack it hit her with she would release two or three! However, neither were making much headway. No matter how much damage they put into one another!

"AHAHAHAHAH!" It didn't matter though! Both of them couldn't contain the mirth they felt from this fantastical frantic slugfest! Even though she hated this thing, even though she knew how terrifying it was she couldn't help but feel a kinship so much so that she missed the, 'I may have chosen wrong…' coming from Lemaitre.

But she had to win, despite her glee she needed to win. So she had an idea, when it's next blow came towards her, her eyes flashed purple. A portal appeared in front of it only for a second as its hand smashed into its head. She watched it reel back from the blow, but she didn't give it time to recover. Suddenly portals began to appear around it as she threw her fist into its stomach over and over. From each portal powerful shockwaves which erupted from her fists as a point of impact began to plow into it.

Over and over she released blow after blow not giving it the time to recover. Even as it retaliated, every other blow being sent back to it, she pushed forward ignoring the pain and the attacks. She smiled viciously as she watched it crumple beneath the constant attacks. Its body began to crack as energy started to gather inside of it. Then after a stream of continuous attacks she jumped back, its body began to crumble as it let out one last ear shattering screech!

The air around it pulsed as space began to pull into its body. She could barely make out what was happening as realization hit her. It was being crumpled in on itself a small black hole forming in the pit of its body. Its form fragmented and pulled apart as it looked at her one last time. Even as it could barely move she could make out the effect of its claw running across its neck. She knew it would be back, and honestly she wasn't sure if she was excited or terrified. Finally with a powerful shutter of force she was thrown back. The creature was gone and the barrier around them shattered. Her body once more skid across the ground, as sweat dripped from her brow.

Taking deep long breaths she kept her eyes closed hoping that she was done. Finally when only silence filled her hearing, did she open them. Everything was back to normal, the barrier shattered into tiny glasslike fragments and fizzled into the night sky. "Wow…" Really that had been… an experience.

Lemaitre suddenly popped in front of her giving her a long poignant stare. "You're… you're terrifying."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Pyrrha released deep long gasps of air as she tried to calm down her rushing blood.

"You're smiling…"

"Huh, really?" Sure enough Pyrrha had a wide smile on her face, her pearly white teeth flashing as she did her best to calm down from the excitement.

Over the next few days Lemaitre had explained everything to her, at least she figured he did. As he had mentioned prior he was the center of the universe, like the actual universe. Apparently every universe had a core, a soul if you will. Whenever one is in danger it creates an avatar, in this case Lemaitre. Apparently that thing she had been fighting was part of a race and organization hellbent on tearing universes apart, devouring them and absorbing their energy.

In dire need of protection Lemaitre had come to Remnant to look for a guardian. He had apparently and according to his words, found several powerful beings here. Some of which shook him to his core, that had caught her interest. In the end he'd chosen Pyrrha, who had apparently caught his eye for some time. For now she'd believe him to be trustworthy, not like she could do much if he wasn't.

Over the next few weeks she would head out night, and every night she would have to fight a new threat. To her surprise she never came across that same one from before, nor did she run into any of it's same threat. Lemaitre had relished the chance to take it easy, though even the weaker ones proved to be dangerous as they were quite crafty.

In her excitement she had nearly spilled the beans to Jaune and Ruby, but had to stop herself. There wasn't any rule preventing her from doing so, Lemaitre had told her that if she wanted to reveal her identity or her powers she could. And despite the urge to let them know she'd done it, she'd become the hero she had wanted to… well she didn't want them to worry. She didn't want to drag them into any danger. Especially with the things she'd been fighting. On the plus side, there was apparently some kind of optic and audio interference that kept people from recognizing her!

Overall though, everything had been going fine, at least they would have. Spending most of her time out at night meant that she rarely came across any of the actual villains from this world. Nor did she run across any heroes, at the time she had lamented this.

"Hahahaahah! What's with that outfit?!" The yellow one bellowed over as she laughed, the White and Black ones holding back their own snickers. Pyrrha regretted her earlier lamentations, now she really regretted it. In an attempt to reach out there and help more people she had introduced herself to her fellow heroes. This… this had not proven to go quite as she would have liked.

When she had introduced herself to one of the newer teams, the Power Huntresses she had been met with mockery. The only one who hadn't laughed at her, and had even gone a little geeky on her was the smaller red one. She had been thankful for that, otherwise she may have lost her temper. There were a lot of things Pyrrha could handle, but when they started making fun of Lemaitre, she had nearly snapped.

Either way since the Red one had managed to defuse the situation things had gone off without a hitch for the most part. At least she would have liked to think so, but over the coming days whenever they would run into one another or when she would run into any other hero or villain she'd be met with jeers and laughs. To say that she was getting annoyed would have been an understatement. So when she met the next villain? She was ready to pop, though she would be surprised by how upside down her expectations were turned.

It was in the middle of Vale Central Park, a young man? She wasn't quite sure as he was completely clad in a long coated outfit which hid his hair underneath a white hood. His face was covered by an oddly adorable rabbit mask. "Why would anyone be crazy enough to wear such a hot looking outfit in the middle of the day?" Lemaitre had been oddly… well her first initial impressions of the avatar of the universe hadn't really pulled through.

He had the habit of commenting on a lot of things, she figured he'd been bored up till now. "I don't know… it's oddly…" She didn't get to finish her sentence as the villain, at least she thought he was one? Suddenly turned his head to her. Her mouth opened slightly. Had she been heard? But she was so far away! She hadn't even approached the villain, yes she was sure he was a villain. Instead she had opted to survey the situation from afar, in the clouds… so how had he noticed her? Had he even noticed her? That head move was far too sudden to be random.

"Hmm… this is oddly suspicious." She couldn't help but agree with Lemaitre.

"I should still check it out." Before she descended, she felt an oddly overwhelming presence, her body shook as if the very earth was pulling her down.

"Don't think I don't know you're there hero!" His, yes she was sure it was a him now, his voice boomed outwardly reaching her even from how far away they were.

"We may as well…" She could feel the sudden fear in Lemaitre's voice. That… that didn't sit well with her. The only time he'd acted that way was when they had run into that thing the first time. Was this man in front of her of the same caliber? This could be dangerous! This villain could… he could prove to be a challenge, a monster, he could put up a fight! "You're smiling again…"

"Am I?" She was.

The two of them descended, whoever this was he had been able to see through their stealth. Had been able to identify them and vocalize his intent to them from an unfathomable distance! Pyrrha knew this was going to be dangerous, this individual was a threat! Someone that she could have a real fight with! So of course she was smiling, she was restless, frustrated, pissed off! The last few villains and heroes she'd met had only mocked her, joked on and on about her outfit or that she wasn't a REAL hero! To have her efforts spat upon had upset her, had pushed her over the edge. And now she could finally take it out on this villain, this… this dangerous being in front of her, surely he was a dastardly mastermind capable of immeasurable destruction. 'HOLY CRAP THERE WAS ACTUALLY SOMEONE THERE!'.

To say that Jaune was freaking out would have been an understatement! He had just been putting on a front! Today was his first day out in the world, on his mother's orders no less, he had been hoping nothing bad would happen and he could just go home and report nothing! But there had been an actual hero there! Thankfully she didn't seem tough, right she was wearing a frilly outfit. How strong could she be? As he opened his mouth, he would forever regret the following words, "So I'm being approached by only a single hero?! Tch!" He paused, not wanting to be rude, he knew how important a heroes image was, so even if he thought her outfit was a little silly he wouldn't be too mean, that was Cinder's job. "At least you appear strong! Come at me then hero!" Famous last words...

Pyrrha took exception to that, a manic smile slashing across her face in an instant! THIS WAS WHAT SHE HAD BEEN WAITING FOR. "Lemaitre, barrier now."

"I don't think this is a good idea Pyrrha…"

"Barrier, now… please." Lemaitre let out a sigh and nodded his head. Soon there was a brief flash as the world warped. To most of the world nothing changed, but she noticed the way that the Bunnyman stopped. She saw his finger draw back as he stared blankly around them. "Huh, he can see it…"

"What the heck?" His voice was low, almost recognizable, but she didn't give him the chance to finish.

The air shattered as she was gone from her spot. Thousands of vibrations fluctuated, as her fist slammed down upon the villain. "FIGHT ME!"

"WAIT WHaT?!" He had apparently not been as off guard as she had thought! Something had blocked her, an invisible force that didn't sit quite well with her. But it was like a massive wall made of… of something? It didn't feel like space, if it had been she would have been able to bypass it. Then she saw him push back against the air, and suddenly her body was pushed off of him with great force.

'Interesting'. She thought to herself, that had… that had not been what she expected.

"What is your problem lady?!" She turned back to him, "Who just attacks someone out of the blue like that?!"

Jaune was acting cool, acting like he wasn't shaking in his boots. But no, no he was absolutely terrified. She had… had just appeared in front of him! And that blow, his eyes glanced past him, scanning left and right. The environment around him had been… well the very earth had been ripped apart around him. He was sure he was only even standing cause he had managed to block in time. 'Note to self, don't mock the magical girl!' But that wasn't what bothered him the most, no it was that smile on her face! He… why couldn't he make out what she looked like!? Instead… instead she had this… this horrifyingly distorted face and all he could make out was pearly whites pulled in the biggest slasher grin he'd ever seen. A chill ran down his spine as she pulled her arm back, "Oh god…"

Hovering in the air above, Pyrrha's right arm drew back, her left hand primed forward he was in her line of sight and that's all she needed. She punched forward, the air around her crackled and ripped, cracking like glass. A massive blow followed the earth around him erupted and splintered, the park shattered and crushed beneath her blow. Dust rose as trees splintered and crumbled into nothing, the rides shattered and flattened beneath the powerful blow. Everything below her was gone, a massive crater splintered beneath her blow. Nothing remained of the park, well almost nothing… a vicious growl escaped her throat as she noticed the one spot still safe. He was still standing, his hand raised pointed at her. He was obviously panting or at least freaking out from what he'd just witnessed.

"Grrrrrrrr." Pyrrha opted for something different, instead of moving to him… he was suddenly in front of her. Her arm was pulled back and primed to strike at him again, and it would have, if not for the sudden-

"WAIT! TIME OUT TIME OUT!" She paused if only for a second, the obvious panic in his voice as he put his hands up in a T shape. "Can we take a moment please!" He was obviously panicking.

But… there was something about him… that… she let out a sigh. She really wasn't going to get that fight, was she? "Fine… what is it?"

"Oh… okay!" He had apparently not expected her to heed his attempt at peace. "Uhm… can we uh… just talk?"

"Just talk?" She… she took a moment, "About what?"

"Well uh… obviously… you have… you have a lot of aggression to work out! Maybe we can talk about that?" She watched as his left hand moved to the back of his head, as if he was going to scratch it, but he suddenly stopped. That was oddly familiar, and oddly endearing.

She let out a long sigh, "I'd like that, thank you."

"Okay, okay cool! Uhm." She watched him look around at the destroyed park. "We should uh… probably clean up first?"

Pyrrha shook her head, "No, it's alright." She turned back towards Lemaitre who nodded. The barrier faded and everything that had been pulverized returned back to how it once was.

"Whoa… that's really convenient!" She couldn't help but giggle in response.

Next to her Lemaitre reformed, "I like him."
