Interrogation Room:
A knock reverberates around the whole room.
"Enter, please."
A giddy boy with an oversized purple sweatshirt saunters in and sits down at the singular chair in the room.
"Sup, May?"
"Hey, Gary, you look happy. Wait… you're derailing the whole procedure. Name?"
He sighed dramatically, "Gary Oak."
"Occupation?"
"Pokemon Researcher. Top tier."
May smirked out of habit at hearing this, before clearing her throat. "Alright...where were you when my liechi berry ice cream cone was stolen between the time of 3:45 and 3:55?"
He scratched his head, "I was getting lunch with my girlfriend. They have amazing scones there, and you know I'm not much of a scone guy so when I say -"
"Wait…"
She held her hand up to stop Gary from continuing to babble on about the food they had eaten at the cafe in an attempt to distract the detective on the detective found that she spotted - with those observant eyes that had solved many a mystery - Gary Oak blushing? Also, what was this about Gary Oak having a girlfriend? She made a note, Inform L about G's girlfriend, before frowning. Hold on.
"You had lunch at 3:45? That's a pretty late time to eat, wouldn't you say?"
Gary gulped, as he saw the triumphant, dazed gaze of the girl in front of him.
"May, coolest coordinator of all time, you can't tell anyone or I'd be dea -"
He froze as the girl in the red bandana broke down in tears. She smiled tearily, "My darling Leaf and my fellow tree-surnamed brother … oh, I'm so happy for you two!"
He smiled, "Thanks May. Yeah...we're pretty cute, huh?"
May grinned back, "Very. Okay, I guess that means that you and Leaf are both off the culprit list for the most part...oh also!"
Gary, who had already gotten up from his chair, looked quizzically.
"I mean...my lips are shut, even though I don't understand what the harm is in telling everyone. But...I'd really appreciate it if in return you could do me the favor of adding the title 'the great detective' in front of my name."
Gary rolled his eyes, "Okay… I knew you shouldn't have become friends with Paul, now he's taught you how to blackmail… I mourn the old May-"
She raised an eyebrow.
"I mean... the great detective May. I shall retire to my chambers and bring you the next victim - uh, suspect!"
Waiting Room:
Gary sauntered back into the room.
"Ashy-boy you're up!"
Ash pouted, slowly getting up from the couch.
"But Drew, Dawn, and I were having such a rich conversation about coordinating!"
He looked at the aforementioned two for help, but they were too busy arguing to even notice his plea.
"Good luck, old friend, " whispered Gary as he patted the dejected boy who slowly - shoulders sagged - headed into the hall.
