Summary
Even after the Full Moon Jam, Jade's still a jealous person. She's grown, sure, but not had a personality transplant. How she deals with the jealousy though? Well, this method is a lot more fun.
After Beck and Jade get back together in Tori Fixes Beck & Jade, Jade decides to mark her territory in a new and fun way. And Beck certainly isn't complaining.
Chapter Summary
Jade's first test; the girls who beg for rides to school (although Jade is sure they'd prefer to ride something else).
Authors Note
I'm thinking of doing a companion story of Beck's changes after this one, but I'm not sure. A lot of his changes are going to be shown in this one. Perhaps a one shot? Let me know what you think!
Without Beck even telling her, Jade knew exactly what would be waiting outside of Beck's RV come Monday morning. It had happened very occasionally when they were in one of their 'half a day' breakups, but she knew for a fact it was an everyday thing now; after all, it had been 9 months of him being single, so why wouldn't he take desperate skanks in his car? She couldn't get angry at that (well she could and was, but she shouldn't get angry about it) because she'd been getting rides from Ryder (who would more than happily drop her off each morning, even if he wasn't on his way to a 9am lecture at UCLA. It was both funny and kind of sad how whipped he was by her, the neighbour girl who would never date him), and she knew how much Beck hated Ryder.
So on Monday morning, while Beck was still asleep, when Jade climbed out of bed (still naked) and headed to the little kitchenette to make a coffee (she was happy to see her Nespresso machine was still there, not tossed in the trash or the garage), she wasn't too surprised when she heard a quiet but high-pitched murmur of voices and giggles outside the RV. Her lips tightened a little in annoyance and anger and she took a long and deep breath.
"Sorry babe...I didn't think..." Beck's voice was rough and scratchy from sleep, which also made him sound ridiculously sexy. And that made a slow grin slide over her unpainted lips as she stopped playing around with the Nespresso machine and instead slowly sashayed her way over to him lying in bed, with the covers pushed down enough to show off his tanned and well-defined chest and abs, the thin blanket only just covering him from just below his hips. As she moved towards him, his sleepy expression cleared away to give a smirk he knew she found irresistible.
The girls outside were utterly forgotten the moment Jade made it to the bed.
Honour-Lee Gibson shifted from foot to foot as she waited in the hot morning sun outside a shiny silver RV. Beck Oliver was the hottest guy in any high school in L.A (why he chose to go to Hollywood Arts was a mystery. Didn't he know it was a school for freaks and losers?) and she was determined to make him hers. And she was in good stead to do so. She knew from his previous girlfriend (as in, singular. How a hottie like him had only ever had one proper girlfriend was ridiculous) that he wasn't into the super skinny thin girls (like the others that were currently gathering around his car all hoping for a ride and chance to talk with him), but preferred thin but curvy girls, with dark hair – so she looked his type, unlike all the wannabe girls who threw themselves at him.
She was 100% sure that today was the day – rumor had it he'd finally gone on an actual date with another girl on Friday night; his first actual official date since he dumped the goth chick 9 months prior. That meant he was finally ready to get a new girl in his life, and she was determined to make it her. And she knew she could do it – she'd managed to score more rides than any other girl in the morning, and he always looked at her a little bit longer than the other girls (what Honour-Lee didn't know was that in his pretty brown eyes, there was sadness and misplaced longing. Because she reminded him a little too much of another girl with her looks).
When there was a thump in the RV, Honor-Lee (and all the other girls on the driveway) perked up, assuming it was Beck getting ready to head out for school. However, there was then a long, low, masculine groan, followed by a more rhythmic and short thumping, the masculine moans now joined by a decidedly feminine moan that caused the eyes of every girl in the driveway to widen and listen in sheer disbelief, stunned into silence for at least 5 minutes.
"What the fuck!" Manda Lawson, Head Cheerleader at Northridge High, hissed, eyes narrowed. "Who the hell is in there?! We've been waiting for months for our chance with him!"
"Totally unfair! We all had equal dibs on him! Whoever's in there didn't!" Ava Madison exclaimed, her too-tanned hands clenching into fists and she stomped one foot. As if any of the girls would be happy if he didn't choose them, 'equal dibs' or not.
The moans had gotten louder, the feminine one getting a little more breathless each time before they cried out in unison. There was silence for a moment or two before a burst of laughter – Beck's laughter, considering the tone, and it made all the girls freeze again. Because they'd heard him laughing in the last nine months quite a lot, in car rides or when waiting to see who the lucky girls would be. But this laughter was...different. It was free and rich and filled with actual mirth. And in comparison, the one they'd all been hearing was almost empty and dull in retrospect.
"Lets see who this bitch is." Manda growled, brushing off her cheer skirt and stalking towards the door of the RV, her pristine white trainers not even making a sound, unlike the heeled sandals and pumps that the girls following her, Honour-Lee's own little dolly shoes making a 'tap tap' sound.
Manda, by far the most open and brave, knocked loudly on the door. "Beeeeeck? Are you OK? We heard weird noises?"
However, as soon as she finished speaking, the door swung outwards, narrowly missing Manda's face as she leapt back to avoid it. And what the open door revealed made all of their faces freeze.
When Beck rolled off of Jade, she let out a low hum of utter contentment. Ok so maybe they were being a bit over eager, what with fucking every time they got a chance, but they had 9 months of a sex drought to make up for, and for a couple that had sex almost everyday, it meant there was a lot of pent up desire (Jade was surprised she hadn't worn callouses on her index and middle fingers from those 9 months, and Beck was pretty sure he had chaffed himself pretty badly at around month 2, no matter how much lotion he went through). Besides, it was just a quickie before school. No harm done at all.
"Think we were loud enough for them to hear?" She asked with a small grin on her lips, which caused Beck to let out a loud laugh and press a kiss into her hair.
"I'm pretty sure of it." He watched as Jade climbed out of bed, gloriously naked and covered in his marks – finger prints on her hips and thighs and breasts, hand prints on her delicate wrists. A love bite on her collar bone – it was almost a crime that she was putting on one of his shirts and the tiny panties she favoured. Not that he was mark free. His back had raised red scratches and the tendon that ran from his neck to his shoulder had a pretty deep bite mark.
She moved to grab the still warm coffee she had made before she'd been distracted and added her standard two sugars, before picking up the crumpled packet of almost empty cigarettes off the side table, along with a zippo. She heard the clatter of heels on pavement as she moved towards the door and threw Beck a look over her shoulder as he stood up, pulling on boxers just as a knock came on the door and an valley girl voice called out.
He saw her pleading look and rolled his eyes playfully. "Go on then. But no blood, please."
Jade grinned to herself. She'd been thinking the since their talk about how to act. After all, she didn't want to be violent or shout anymore when she was jealous. That had caused a lot of their issues, she wasn't too proud to admit it. The combination of her jealousy and his inability to realise when girls were hitting on him, along with being too amused and flattered, to be frank, when he did notice, was one of the reasons they didn't work out.
But she'd realised over the weekend that she didn't need to be violent or angry and shouting. She could do something far more fun instead.
So she opened the door.
All of the girls were still frozen as they took in the scene. Jade West, ex-girlfriend of nine months was in front of them. Her hair ruffled, wearing just a red and black flannel shirt (one Beck wore a lot and was instantly recognisable as his) that ended at mid thigh, showing expanses of ivory pale leg (a few bruises peeking out from the edge), the collar hanging open a little to show a hickey on her collarbone, the sleeves reaching her finger tips, where she held a mug of coffee and in her other hand, a packet of cigarettes and a lighter.
"Can I help you?"
"Uh yeah. You can tell us who the hell you think you are!" Ava exclaims, crossing her arms and every other girl present winced. They forgot that Ava had moved to LA just 7 months ago, after the break up. She had no clue who the girl in front of them was.
"I'm Beck's girlfriend." She stated dryly, stepping out onto the driveway with bare feet, toes nails painted a blood red, leaving the door open just a little and moving to stand a few feet away from it, lighting a cigarette (Beck's brand, and with his special zippo they notice) and exhaling before taking a long sip of coffee.
"His girlfriend?! Listen you skank, I don't know who you think you are but you can't just appear and steal Beck!"
"Beck isn't an object to be stolen." Jade smirked and raised her eyebrows. "Note how none of your little groupies are backing you up right now, Pug-Face? Because they know something you don't." Her smirk twisted wider as she took another drag of her cigarette.
"Ava! That's Jade…Beck's ex-girlfriend." Flora Jenkins whisper-explained to the overly tanned girl, causing Ava's jaw to drop.
"Oh, you can remove the 'ex' part now." Beck stated as he pushed the door open, dressed in his jeans and a grey vest, (which showed of an impressive bitemark on his shoulder) moving to join Jade at her spot taking the cigarette out of her hand and having a draw, before exhaling and kissing the side of her head, before Jade tilted her face up towards him and he gave her a passionate, albeit quick, kiss.
Every single girl there was glaring at Jade though, especially now they saw Beck with her. And from the mark on his shoulder and her collarbone, it was even more obvious what the noises they'd heard before were about. Plus...god Beck was so hot.
"Sorry to tell you, but this little car-pooling thing is over." Jade stated with a shrug, taking the cigarette back from Beck but handing him her coffee which he took a sip of. "We like to have...alone time in the car." She smirked a little and Beck rolled his eyes playfully.
"Beck! Tell her you aren't going to just kick us out your car!" Rachel Johnson exclaimed unhappily, looking as if she was near tears.
Beck merely shrugged apologetically. "Sorry, but Jade doesn't want you in the car with us. Besides, I like it just being us when driving." Jade gave him a small smile.
"Well, that's because you like to-" Beck quickly cut her off by putting a hand over her mouth and grinning down at her.
"Lets not get into details babe." He winked and she rolled her eyes, pushing his hand away and finishing the last drag of the cigarette.
"Well, I'll go get dressed. You should all be gone by the time we come back out." Jade stated bluntly, stubbing out the cigarette on the ground and placing it in a small metal bucket filled with sand at her feet.
As Beck and Jade, him throwing his coffee-mug free arm around her shoulder, moved towards the RV, the group of girls stared after them, distraught, hearing him mutter 'Not even a threat of violence? I'm proud babe' followed by a 'Shut up pretty boy'. How could this have happened? What went on at that freakshow school 'Jamfest' or whatever it was called? How did Beck Oliver go from going out with some other nameless girl to being once more wrapped up in a relationship with the bane of almost every girl who had ever been interested in Beck Oliver's existence – Jade West?
And what was worse was that...how he acted with her was such a stark contrast from how he acted in the last 9 months with them. They hadn't even noticed it before; sure he'd laugh and flirt and generally be charming. But his laughter had been hollow, his flirtations almost cliché and by the book, and his charm was basically just his boyish grin and looks. They'd never heard the rich, warm laughter they had earlier. Covering Jade's mouth was the most playfully flirtatious thing they'd seen him do before. His looks were still there, and all the more obvious due to his choice of clothing but his boyish grin had something else in it completely when it was directed at Jade, that made the one they'd been graced with over the last nine months seem like a mummers farce.
Honour-Lee Gibson furrowed her brow a little and let out a long sigh, ignoring the other girls who seemed to be almost close to tears at the outcome of this morning. It just seemed like none of them could match up to Jade freakin' West.
