Hiding behind the Mask

Instead of Anakin falling, Ahsoka did. She has captured Anakin, her former Master. This is highly AU. Planned as multichapter. Expect this to be a tearjerker as it goes on. What will happen? Is Ahsoka left, under the mask of Darth Saph? What will happen to Anakin?

2. Chapter 2

Author's Note: Yes, I know this is a really short chapter. But I wanted to get another chapter out this weekend, so here we go.

Anakin wakes up and looks around. He sees that he's in an Imperial Detention cell. Darth Saph must have wanted me alive, I guess. He notices that someone left him a ration bar. Not only does she want me alive, but she also wants me alive for a while. This is weird. Is she just going to gift me to Darth Sidious, or what?

He sees that he's in a Force cage. This doesn't fully cut him off from his powers but does keep him from escaping. Oh, no. This isn't good!

He tries to see if the troopers missed some other escape tools of his, but they had found them all. I guess this will just be a little harder, then. Why did Darth Saph not kill me? Is there any bit of Ahsoka left in there? Or is there just darkness, and no light?

A datapad is dropped into his cell. Anakin picks it up and turns it on. He notices right away that the holonet transponder is disabled. He notices that there is a video file titled Play this . Guess Darth Saph wants me to see something.

He presses play. The first scene, Darth Saph has removed her armor and is looking into the camera with her yellow eyes.

"Hello Anakin. You have no idea of what I've become. If Palpatine learns about this datapad, it will likely mean the death of us both. I'm not sure if you want that or not, but I suggest you don't do it. This next part, if Palpatine finds out, will mean the death of a lot of people, and as you're a Jedi, and your kind don't seem to like that, I suggest you keep quiet on that. I plan on killing Palpatine, so if you betray me, and die, as well as cause the deaths of tons of other people, your Rebelion loses potentially the only two people who could kill him. Your little younglings wouldn't be able to kill my new Master." The message ends. So, Darth Saph plans on killing Palpatine? Apparently, she thinks that Luke and Leia couldn't kill him. She also seems to be breaking away from Palpatine a bit, as she said that if he finds out about the datapad, it will likely mean both our heads, and if he finds out about the attempt on his life, it will mean many more deaths. Why would she be breaking away from him at all? Is this a trap or a test? And she also has a plan and thinks she can kill Palpatine. Impressive, given that she only ever was a Jedi Padawan.
