Part Two

So, I thought this was going to be a one-shot, but the story kept going in my head, and I wanted to continue it! Warning for swearing, and please let me know if you want me to continue because I'm not sure what I want to do with this as this point.

Cathy was awoken to a pounding headache. She wasn't exactly surprised; she had gone way too hard last night. Fortunately, she remembered most of what happened, so she wasn't surprised to see Chloe's arms wrapped around her.

"Fuck." Cathy mumbled, pressing her hand to her head. She was exhausted and, though she didn't think she was going to puke, her stomach felt like it could erupt if Cathy insisted on feeding it.

"You awake?" Chloe mumbled sleepily.

"I'm awake but I'm dead." Cathy grumbled.

Chloe giggled. "I'm a bit tired myself, to be honest."

"That's it?"

Chloe laughed. "Yeah, my friends hate me because it takes a lot to give me a real hangover."

"Good for you." Cathy mumbled, putting her head back on the pillow.

"Here." Chloe stood up. "Why don't I get you some water and Tylenol?"

"I would love that so much." Cathy said gratefully. The small girl shut her eyes and cradled her throbbing head.

"Oh, you're not doing great." Chloe said with pity. "Hopefully these help, I found some Gatorade in the fridge too."

"God bless you." Cathy mumbled, opening her eyes and grabbing the Tylenol and water. "I hope I didn't say anything stupid last night, I remember most of it, but things are still a tiny bit fuzzy.

"Nothing bad." Chloe reassured her. "Do you remember that you kissed me?"

Cathy blushed. "Yes, and I hope that was okay, I know that was kind of abrupt and, wow, I hope I didn't make things awkward by doing that because you seem, like super cool, and I just hope-" Chloe cut Cathy off with a kiss.

"Oh." Cathy mumbled. "So, I guess it was okay?" She smiled.

"More than okay." Chloe reassured her and the two girls leaned in for another kiss. Cathy suddenly pulled back.

"Oh my God." She gasped.

"What?" Chloe asked, concerned.

"I fucking puked last night." Cathy remembered. Chloe giggled.

"Yeah, you kind of did." Chloe admitted. "But it's okay; you didn't puke on me or anything like that or anywhere in my apartment."

"I puked in front of a cute girl!" Cathy moaned.

"Calm down, honey. It's okay." Chloe reassured her, rubbing her back. "My best friend, Aubrey, has this problem with puking when nervous, so I am incredibly desensitized to puke."

"I'm sorry." Cathy muttered and Chloe gave her a hug.

"It's okay, it's okay." Chloe reassured her. "You know what we should do?"

"What?"

"We need to get some food in you." Chloe told her. Cathy groaned.

"No, no food. There is no part of me that wants food right now." Cathy insisted.

"Food will help you feel better, trust me." Chloe argued.

"I genuinely think that I will vomit if I put anything in my stomach." Cathy explained.

"Just a little bit?" Chloe bargained.

"A little bit." Cathy agreed.

"Great! Why don't you get out of my sweats and into the clothes you were wearing, and I'll get dressed too. Have you ever been to Good Morning Diner?"

"Wait, we are going in public?" Cathy asked, alarmed.

"I'm a little behind on grocery shopping." Chloe admitted. "But don't worry! If you feel like you're going to get sick, just run to the bathroom, you'll be fine."

"I want to say no, but I keep on getting lost staring in your unnaturally blue eyes." Cathy said, staring right at the redhead.

"Unnaturally?"

"Not bad unnaturally like 'holy shit, how does that exist'? Unnaturally." Cathy explained.

"You're so sweet." Chloe giggled. "Come on, let's get dressed."

(Break)

Neither girls were that concerned with looking impressive, so they were walking towards Good Morning Diner about fifteen minutes later. Cathy was relieved that her headache was starting to go away, but she couldn't stop staring at Chloe's hand. She very badly wanted to grab it, but was that too soon? They just met the night before; she barley knew her! Yet the blonde felt a connection to the girl that she hadn't felt since…

Well, since Jamie.

"Just go ahead and grab it." Chloe laughed. Cathy looked up, startled.

"What?"

"You keep staring at my hand, just go ahead and grab it." Chloe insisted.

"Is that weird?" Cathy asked.

"Who cares?" Chloe smiled. "Here." Chloe reached out and grabbed Cathy's hand. Cathy grinned, relieved.

"Have you been to Good Morning Diner?" Chloe asked.

"Actually, no. I've never even heard of it." Cathy admitted.

"It's not exactly a hugely popular restaurant but my good friend, Fat Amy, has a talent for finding these hidden treasures of New York. I don't know how but she always finds the best places I've never heard of."

"You…your friend calls herself 'Fat Amy'?" Cathy asked.

Chloe laughed. "She said it's so skinny bitches don't do it behind her back."

"I guess that makes sense?" Cathy laughed. "So, you have one friend who calls herself Fat Amy, and one friend who vomits when nervous…"

"And one friend who is obsessed with sex, and one who was almost traded by her brother for a chicken, and one who just had Satan escape her body…"

"You can't be serious." Cathy insisted.

"Dixie Chicks serious." Chloe laughed as they approached the building. "Do you have any unusual friends?"

Cathy thought for a second. Most of her "friends" were just women that would always come to Jamie's parties. She had spent the last few years so focused on her dream of becoming a star and helping further Jamie's career that…she kind of let having friends be unimportant.

"I've kinda…been really focused on my career and stuff…" Cathy mumbled.

"Two please, near the back, if possible?" Chloe asked the host. He nodded and led them to a booth toward the back of the restaurant and, thankfully, near a restroom. Chloe turned back towards Cathy, "So you don't really have a lot of friends right now then?"

"No…I guess not."

"I'll have to introduce you to my friends, they'll love you!" Chloe assured her, picking up her menu. "Lots of choices, I'm sure you'll find something small."

Cathy finally decided on an order of eggs and toast, while Chloe ordered chocolate chip pancakes.

"So, are you from here?" Chloe asked Cathy.

"No, I live in a small town on the Eastern shore. Nobody's ever heard of it." Cathy explained. "Are you from here?"

"Pennsylvania." Chloe told her. "That's where I went to college too, Barden University."

"How did you end up in New York City?" Cathy asked.

"You first." Chloe said.

"I've wanted to be an actress for most of my life and I knew I couldn't do it in my hometown." Cathy explained. "So, I lived at home and worked my ass off at a mom-and-pop grocery store for a year, trying to save money. Finally, I just said 'fuck it, I've got literally nothing to lose', took my money, and moved to New York City. Then I used the internet to figure out how one goes about becoming a star, and I have been working my ass off since."

"Did you know anyone in New York?" Chloe asked, awed.

"No one." Cathy shook her head.

"That's so badass." Chloe told her. Cathy blushed.

"I guess, but what do I have to show for it? A failed career and a failed marriage."

"How old are you?" Chloe asked.

"28."

"You still have time." Chloe insisted. "You can still make a career. I can see in you that you're a fighter, don't let the world defeat you. You fucking got this."

Cathy smiled and blushed again. "How…how did you get to New York City?"

Chloe sighed. "Honestly? I followed my girlfriend." She shook her head. "At least I like it here, I guess. I've made some friends and I have a job so…it wasn't a waste."

"You said you were still trying to be friends with her?" Cathy asked.

"We're trying, even though it's hard. There's just so much history with us I can't see us being out of each other's lives forever, you know?" Chloe sighed. "But the romance is over. We just both want different things."

"That's amazing you are trying to make things work as friends." Cathy told her.

"Do you think that you and Jamie could ever-"

"There's far too much damage for us to ever be okay." Cathy said bitterly. "He cheated on me and then left me a fucking note because he was too much of a coward to break it off in person. I can't see those wounds ever healing."

"You're better off without him." Chloe declared.

"Damn straight!" Cathy grinned as the waiter brought out their food.

"Oh, this looks good!" Chloe said, breathing in the smell.

"I think…I might actually be kind of hungry." Cathy admitted.

"Great!" Chloe took a bite of her pancakes. "Mmm!"

Cathy started to take a bite of her eggs, but suddenly froze in horror. "Shit."

"What is it?" Chloe asked, turning to see a man with dark brown hair had just walked in with a brunette woman.

"No, turn around, don't look!" Cathy gasped. Chloe faced Cathy again quickly.

"Wait, is that…?"

"That's Jamie." Cathy moaned. "And the mistress."
