As soon as Megumin had returned home that night she immediately went to her room and proceeded to text Kazuma about the "date" and just wanting to talk to him

Megumin:Hey there Cutie K what's up 3

Kazuma:...oh it's you...please dont call me that

Megumin:Cmon it's fitting for someone as adorable as you...so anyway how are you rn?

Kazuma:Fine I suppose my kids are pissed that I bought Pizza Hut instead of Domino's,but other than that it's been peaceful

Megumin:Kids?

Kazuma:Shit...I mean roommates

Megumin:Did you get someone preg-

Kazuma:No!!!...they're adopted you've probably seen them around the library before one has blue hair and other is tall and blonde

Megumin:Ohhhhh that's why they stop by so often...Sooooo when do you wanna go on a coffee date Im pretty free on the weekends

Kazuma:...Let me think about it

Megumin:Okay! just let me know so I can ask my parents

Megumin now had to do the hardest part of her plan to go on a date with Kazuma so far...ask her parents for money!!!!! Now while Megumin's family wasn't exactly rich(okay they are dirt poor,but dont be rude) surely it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to ask for like 20 dollars to pay for some coffee right?

Unfortunately Megumin's parents didn't agree with that line of thought especially once Hyoizaburoo learned it was for a date with a boy asking all kinds of questions which Megumin was fortunately able to answer through careful observation(stalking). While Yuiyui was a bit more accepting of Megumin going on a date and potentially getting a boyfriend(bit of an understatement) she still didn't agree with the money Megumin was asking and suggested just bringing him here instead.

Megumin took one look at their run down apartment and Kommeko eating a pack of instant noodles raw and realized she would rather die than bring Kazuma here for a date. So she went into her bedroom and dug around in her "wallet" (it was a just a small bag she crudely stitched together) and proceeded to count all of the stray coins and dollars she had and it totalled to...11 dollars and 53 cents...it was enough if she played it cheap right?

The following Saturday the day of the "date" had arrived and Megumin ccould not be more excited she put on her best clothes (including a witch hat she made herself) grabbed her wallet and left for the library. When she arrived she had seen Kazuma behind the librarians desk and could barely contain her excitement until she realized two things.

1.She still had to wait for Kazuma's to get off from work

2. His "kids" were here and heading right for her

Realizing that it's no use to try and run away Megumin took a deep breath as the blue haired chick and the tall blonde girl approached her...The blue haired chick introduced herself as Aqua and the blonde one as Darkness and said in a haughty tone

"Hmph if you want to date OUR Mummy you'll have to prove yourself to me!!! Aqua the goddess of wat-"

Darkness quickly hits her on the head before talking herself

"Sorry she's always like this anyway dont worry we're not here to scare you or anything just here to ask a few questions"

"Okay sure I Megumin the greatest archwizard of all time will have no problem answering these questions if it's to prove my love to Kazuma!!!!!"

The first question Darkness asked was what did she want from Kazuma. Of course Megumin answered that she wanted to date him of course...Darkness then just simply nodded before asking Aqua to write that down. The second question was is she looking for a short term relationship ship? or long term? Megumin answered that she wants to marry Kazuma evantually. Darkness again tells Aqua to write that down

Evantually the two leave before going back to the librarian's desk to "report the data". Darkness talks first asking if Kazuma is busy.He gives a gentle smile a says

"No not really what do you need sweetie"

Darkness then says almost immediately

"Maman that Megumin girl that asked you on a date is really sweet,but crazy I think you should procceed with caution"

Aqua then pipes up as well

"Yeah Mummy she keels calling herself a wizard I think you should cut ties with her she's crazy"

Kazuma simply let out a tired sigh at the hypocrisy before saying

"Thank you for your concerns kiddos, but I dont need pity from my own kids now be good children and go home I made lunch and dinner I might be home a bit late tonight"

Darkness and Aqua both gave looks of sadness before walking out of the library.

Kazuma's shift had finally ended and after a particularly annoying day where a masked customer pretended that he forgot how to spell his own name while filling out a form for a library card he was finally free to go home and...oh it's her Megumin was standing right infront of his desk and had a bright smile on her face.

Megumin immediately asked him if he was ready for the date in which Kazuma said

"I never agreed for the date"

Megumin was shooken by these words while Kazuma technically never agreed to the date he still must want to go right? Well Megumin still had one sercret weapon and thoug it was unbecoming of an archwizard such as herself it was all necessary in the name of love. She proceeded to give Kazuma the most intense and sad puppy eyes he had ever seen in his life and after only five seconds he gave in saying

"Sheesh fine stop that already you're making me feel guilty I'll go get a coffee with you or whatever could use one after the day I had"

Megumin then gave a bright smile before realizing...she had walked here how the hell were they supposed to get to the cafe? Kazuma noticing her despair spoke up

"Hey...do you not have a ride or something?"

"N-No sorry I guess we have to walk Im really really so-

"No"

Megumin gave him a look of bewilderment was he really going to be this much of an asshole about it? Kazuma realizing he was being too blunt again took a deep breath before saying

"No what I ment was I have a ride myself though I do have to ask one question...how comfortable would you feel riding a motorcycle?"
