The class was full of bustle. The assignment was a partnered assignment, and everyone was trying to decide who they would be partnered with.

"Who would like to be partnered with Adrien?" Mme. Bustier asked the class. Of course she had to ask. Silence. Of course silence. No one wanted to be with Adrien. Adrien was about to say he'd do it alone when a hand shot up from the front of the classroom.

"I will," a girl said. Adrien tried pinning the voice down. Who was it?

"Are you sure?" Mme. Bustier asked.

"Positive," the girl responded.

"Okay, Marinette," Mme. Bustier said. Marinette. That was her name. Marinette Dupain-Cheng to be precise. Marinette was a raven haired girl with giant bluebell eyes. She was an aspiring designer, and one of the kindest girls in class. And to be honest, Marinette was the only person who ever smiled at Adrien. Or didn't look at him with contempt filled eyes. He didn't know why, she just… didn't.

"Hello, partner!" Marinette said, cheerfully.

"Hello, Marinette," Adrien responded, with a little contempt in his voice. "Who are we going to do the project on?" By who, Adrien meant which superhero not what Marinette was about to say.

"Chat Blanc. I mean, he has destruction at his fingertips! If it was used for good, he could be the greatest superhero of all time!" Marinette said, a smile plastered on her face. Adrien was taken aback. Chat Blanc? Why Chat Blanc? "If you could get some pictures of him, we'll have the perfect project! We can meet at my bakery and work together for the project in an hour, by then, you should have your part done!"

"Okay," Adrien said, hesitancy in his voice. He was still confused. Chat Blanc? Of anyone, Chat Blanc. So, Adrien studied his partner. No bit of her looked evil, and clearly she just seemed super excited. Her pigtails bounced up and down, and her eyes glimmered. But, there was a scar on her arm. Who did that remind him of? And one on her right cheek. "Where did you get those scars from?"

"No-nowhere," Marinette said quickly, getting defensive.

"Nowhere? I quite doubt that," Adrien scoffed at the girl's incompetence. She was getting hurt, and she wouldn't tell? That was stupidity if it was anything.

"Oh, it's nothing!" Marinette said, and then changed the subject. "So, I'll see you later?"

"Later it is," Adrien said, his eyes locked on the scar across Marinette's cheek. It reminded him of someone, but who? Adrien barely knew Marinette, so why did she look so familiar? He guessed that was a question for another time. He had work to do, and since she was nice to him, he didn't want to ruin that.

"These are amazing!" Marinette said, holding the photos Adrien had retrieved. "Where'd you get them?"

"They're just screenshots from old news," Adrien lied. They were pictures of him so why not get close up? It was easy enough. Kinda like what Spiderman does for Peter Parker's job. Put a camera on something, set it on automatic, and TA-DA! The pictures were perfect, if Adrien could say so himself.

Adrien fairly contrasted Chat Blanc. Chat Blanc had white hair, that laid messily on his head, whereas Adrien had sunshine blonde hair that was neatly combed to the side. Chat Blanc's eyes were a pale blue, with dark and menacing looks behind those sky-blue eyes. Adrien, on the other hand, had a forest-green color eyes, and the dark and menacing looks were still there, whether Chat Blanc or not.

With destruction at his fingertips, Chat Blanc could easily beat anyone getting in his way, that is, except for Ladybug. Ladybug can cleanse and fix anything, except for herself. If he could touch her once… Let's just say Paris wouldn't be as safe as it was. But, it was hard for Chat Blanc to lay a finger on her, she was always so fast, and to be honest, he wanted the fight to last, so if he would land a punch, he would never call on his cataclysm, it was too easy. He wanted a challenge. A real challenge. And if he got rid of Ladybug that quickly- well, let's just say that wouldn't be any fun.

"And done," Marinette said with a sigh after gluing the pictures in the mini book she had created. Adrien was lost in thought, but when she said that, he got taken out of his daydream. "So, I'll see you tomorrow to present?"

"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow," Adrien said, a little dazed about his thoughts. Kill Ladybug. That's what he said his goal was. But, by the way Marinette said it, was it? Could he really be a good guy?

Those were just questions he'd have to answer later.
