Authors Note: Happy 9th birthday to the first Avengers movie which is today.
Pairing: Tony\Loki
Some where on Jötunheim
Tony let go of Loki's waist once the god had transported them to Loki's home planet, well his too kind of. Tony's jaw dropped when he saw how dark, cold with everything frozen over. He looked over at the god "How does this place have mountains, with everything frozen over?"
Loki shook his head softly 'Even if you're a well known genius, you are stupid sometimes Stark.' He looked up to see Tony looking at him with a serious look "I can't believe you just asked me that. I literally thought you were smarter than that." Loki teased the younger male, which led Tony to laugh.
"I was coming to you for information about this planet because I know nothing about it. I want to know all about the frost giants which you're the only person who truly knows." The half-mortal gives a flirty smile to the god.
"Alright, where do I start?" Loki noticed the smile that Tony gave him as he walked around keeping Tony close to him
"Start from the beginning, or what you actually do know."
"Alright..." He thinks to himself "I know where to start. Jötunheim is separated from Midgard and Asgard by the river Iving, therefore preventing the giants from trying to cross over into these worlds." He smirks softly before continuing "Obviously, I got out with my magic."
Tony continued listening to Loki "So the bifrost was a tool that was supposed to stop us from traveling to the other realms?"
Loki nodded "Pretty much." Loki smiled at him softly
"So um… How did you get to Asgard in the first place if we couldn't transport properly through the bifrost?" He asked being curious but then he had regretted it after when he saw the god's face fall slightly as he looked away from him.
Loki gulped softly "Odin stole me from my family. After one of the battles, he found me abandoned and just took me. My real father Laufey, I had to kill him when he came to Asgard, to prove to Odin that I would be seen as an Asgardian and not a Jöuton. I couldn't let my cover be blown at that moment because I was the king of Asgard during that time. Odin fell into Odin sleep right before then."
The younger half-frost giant gasps as he could tell that Loki was telling the truth and not lying to him. Tony had this feeling that Loki indeed was telling the truth. If he wasn't then why would he be telling him everything he knows about Jötunhiem and his screwed up family life. "What? Oh, Loki I'm so sorry. My father was never around when I was growing up, as Heimdall explained before." He looks up at him sincerely
He was taken back from Tony's reaction "Thanks Stark. Do you honestly care about me?" He asked wanting to know why Stark cared about him
"Yes I do care about you Loki; believe it or not I do. I also trust you and that's honestly saying something, especially since you threw me out of my own tower window." Loki smiled at the last part
"Hmmm interesting that's for sure Stark. Why would you trust me, I don't understand really."
"Well we're somewhat alike. First of all our father figures suck, I mean with Odin and then my father." Tony nudged his elbow along Loki's tricep playfully
Loki blushed softly and of course Tony had noticed it but he wouldn't say anything to embarrass the god. "Indeed we both suffered in the father figure department."
Loki blushed softly and of course Tony had noticed it but he wouldn't say anything to embarrass the god. "Indeed we both suffered in the father figure department."
Tony looked at him before changing the subject "So, since I'm half frost giant, how long is my lifespan?" Tony asked after there was a few minutes of awkward silence
"Roughly around 2,500 years. A full bred frost giant could live up to 5,000 years. That's without getting killed in battle of course. Every thousand years, I have to eat one of the Golden Apples from Asgard just to keep my lifespan going." Loki explained
"So what does that mean about me?" Tony asked as he leaned up against Loki and gave him a soft smile
"Well, you will need to eat the apple too once every 200 years. Since being half-mortal, the need of an apple is more frequent than I would need."
Tony nods "Hey Reindeer Games, I have a question for you that I forgot to ask you earlier."
Loki rolled his eyes annoyed at the nickname but of course he secretly was in love with Tony so it didn't really bother him that much. "What's your question?"
"How would my mother, father or my grandparent or grandparents get off of Jöutunhiem if we couldn't access the Bifrost?" Tony asked
"There's two ways; one is if your family was banished from Jöutunhiem, the bifrost would be used. The second would be if your family was friends with Laufey around the time Odin came to steal me from my birth parents. If that was the case, Laufey could've used his magic to bring them to earth to protect them from Odin without him knowing."
Tony nods "So Odin, hated me even before I was born?" Tony looked over at the older god
"Probably and it wouldn't surprise me if he did. He knew of you of course because of your reputation back on Midgard." Loki's voice almost cracked when he had to say 'reputation' because of who Tony used to be.
"I'm done with that life, I stopped sleeping around with different men and women every night." He reassured the god 'I changed a long time before I met you and damn, you're the only one I want.' Tony thought to himself
Loki nods as he listened to the half-mortal and nods "I believe you. So now do you want to find the king of Jöutunhiem and ask him questions about your family?"
"Yes I do, my dear Reindeer Games." Tony winked as he flirted with him
He shook his head "Let's go, so that you can find out about your family. You're playing a dangerous game here, Anthony." Loki smirked softly as Tony shook his head at Loki's comment.
They walked together to find the king Fárbuti, current king of Jöutunhiem, Laufey's husband since most frost giants are hermaphrodites. They made their way to king Fárbuti's quarters, where he already knew that Loki and Tony were on the planet. Loki walked over to his other father "Hi father." He smiled softly
Loki's birth father smiled at his son "What's the pleasure that you come to visit me son?" Fárbuti asked as he remained seated in his chair
Tony interrupted Loki before the older god could say a word "Hi, I'm Tony Stark and Loki brought me here to learn a few things."
"Stark? As in Howard Stark?" He stood up from his chair looking at Tony
"Yes, my father's name was Howard, my mother's name was Maria." Tony looked at the 6'5 frost giant
"Your father was a frost giant, in order to protect him from Asgard and Odin; I sent him to earth. I never thought he would have children until my son came back here and told me about you. I hoped that you had figured out that you're half frost giant. Isn't that why you are here?" Fárbuti asked as he walked towards Tony and Loki
Loki watched the two of them "Yes I figured I was half frost giant but that was after Loki and I touched hands briefly when I offered him a drink. I figured it out when we were in Asgard because Thor took us there because he thought I was sick." Tony air quoted the last sentence to Loki's living father
"He took you to Asgard because he thought his father could help?" Fárbuti looked over at Loki for reassurance
Tony could only nod "Yes, that's what Thor thought but Odin didn't help. All Odin was going to do was lock me up, and probably do testing on him." Loki explained to his father with his crush present
"Testing? What kind of testing?" Tony asked
Loki turned to Tony "To see if you could use your ice to kill. He probably would've forced you to ice someone from the prisoners."
Tony was surprised "Wow, he's really fucked up isn't he?" Tony stated to Loki. Fárbuti listened to his son and the half-mortal talk for a while before giving his opinion
"Sounds like you hate Odin, and you only met him once from what I just heard." Fárbuti stated at the 5'9 half-mortal
"I sure do, first killing my grandfather and he probably would've killed my father if you hadn't saved him; thank you for saving him. On top of that he wanted to do testing on me on powers that I don't know how to control. If I knew I had powers I would have Loki or another frost giant show me how to control it, and use my ice power." Loki and Fárbuti listened to Tony and could feel his sadness and hatred for Odin
"I can do that, I learned from my fathers how to control it. I can give you lessons here on Jöutunhiem before going back to Midgard." Loki smiled towards Tony
"If that's okay with Fárbuti, then that's fine with me." Tony shot him his famous Stark smile
"I'm more than fine with you learning how to control your powers here Stark. That reminds me, let me show you where you are going to stay while you're here." He looks at Tony, then back at Loki "You know where your quarters are." Fárbuti started walking away to where the separate quarters are.
Once they got to Tony's quarters, from how he imagined it was exactly how he imagined it, the walls were ice cold in the room. He was issued to that because of waking up sweating from nightmares from Afghanistan. Even the bed, blankets and pillows were ice cold. Tony looked over at the king "Is there anything warmer? I mean as for a heavy quilt and pillows."
He nods "If that makes you feel more comfortable." He waited for Tony's permission before he used his magic
"I would feel more comfortable if the bed was warmer, I'm still half-human." Tony stated which made Loki chuckle
Fárbuti used his magic to make the bed warmer for Tony. "Is there anything else?"
Tony watched Loki's father "Nope that's all, thank you."
Fárbuti nodded "You're welcome, have a good night. I have to go do some king duties now, if you need anything ask Loki. He knows where everything is here." He left leaving the two gods alone
"Do you need anything else, Stark before I leave?" Loki asked
"No. Where are you going to be sleeping at?" Tony looked down when that came out wrong but Loki smiled
"My quarters are next to yours. If you need anything I'll be right next door." He lifted his head up to look at the older god.
Tony looked at him "Alright, I'll see you in the morning, have a goodnight." Tony yawned a little
"You too Stark." Loki smiled at him softly before leaving to his quarters for the night.
After Tony did his night routine, he fell asleep snuggled under the quilt. A few hours later Loki heard yelling from Tony's quarters, so he decided to check it out. He found Tony tossing and turning, all sweaty as he was yelling at someone that Loki couldn't make out. Loki frowned that Tony was having a hard night so he had decided to get in bed with him. Tony tossed again until he felt a body next to him. Tony opened his eyes slowly and looked at Loki "Loki?" He sleepily asked
Loki smiled softly "Yes, I'm here love." He looked away from Tony when the pet name slipped out of his mouth.
Tony looked up at him thinking it was a dream he cuddled closely to him and fell back asleep.
