When Sakura was eight she realized that her chakra had followed her into this life as an elf child. It was sluggish and her chakra pathways were foreign to her; the way her chakra moved around in her body was weird. Instead of being swift like a current, her chakra was like the sweet molasses that Glirion would use to sweeten the porridge that he served her for breakfast. Her tenketsu felt blocked for the most part, but she was no Hyuuga. So Sakura merely let it be and did her best to move her chakra across her pathways.

Her brothers would mistake her meditation for her being sleepy or her daydreaming. Thilior would use this time to poke at her chubby cheeks and try to get her to play, as children were supposed to do, but she would pout adorably and remain resolute in wanting to stay where she was for the time being. No matter what her brothers would do to get her to play.

"Lothris, would you not like to play? We could play hide an go seek!" Thilior would cheerfully suggest.

Sakura would stare at him with her big green eyes, "And why should we do that? For I am content to stay indoors with Glirion and Lastedir."

The shortest of her brothers pouted, "Ahh, but would it not make you happy to run about in the grass? Come sister, the day is lovely and the sun shines brightly on us!"

But she would shake her head, "No thank you brother, I would like to stay here for the time being."

Sometimes when bothered in front of her other brothers they would weigh in on what they thought Sakura should be doing. One time she could recall being in the middle of learning to braid hair with Caledhel and Rhossolas when Thilior tried once more to tempt her into playing.

Sakura's little fingers were slightly too chubby to deftly weave hair around into her brother's preferred styles, and more often then not would look like a mess before one brother would undo her work and brush out the hair. Giving her a new start to try again from. The unfortunate test subject for that lesson what Rhossolas, his bright red hair all scrunched up together in knots as Sakura sat frustrated. She had lost her focus on braiding her brother's hair when she felt her chakra begin to trickle up towards her forehead.

The once familiar feeling was now unsettling, her chakra was thick and terribly hard to move on the best of days so to have it finally move made her lose her focus on what she was doing.

"Apologies brother," she murmured as Caledhel patiently unworked her mess from Rhossolas's hair.

The red head merely shrugged it off, "Tis no worry dear Lothris, you are doing well enough despite not being able to maneuver your fingers well enough to get a tight braid."

Caledhel smirked, "And besides Lothris, our dear brother's hair was hard enough to braid with it being as nappy as it was when you began. If anything your attempts made him look better!"

Despite being sat on the floor in front of the couch that Sakura was sitting on, Rhossolas was able to reach back with unnerving accuracy and pinch a nerve on Caledhel's side. His face was one of serenity as he addressed Caledhel, "What was that dear brother?"

"Hsss, OW OW OW!" The younger elf whimpered as he twisted in Rhossolas's grasp, "I'm sorry! For Eru's sake brother, how you manage to find nerves effortlessly is an amazing skill to have!"

Her brother let Caledhel go and return to brushing out the braids, "I learned quick, I took classes while Lord Elrond was last visiting King Gil-Galad in Mithlond proper before he was to return to Eregion to Lord Celebrimbor. The body is a truly wondrous thing to behold."

Unable to wait more, Sakura merely sat with her stare transfixed upon the entrance to their home as she worked her chakra up her pathways. Every little bit of movement was progress to her, and she wondered if she could recreate Tsunade's seal with these foreign and underdeveloped chakra pathways. The sounds of her bickering brothers lulled her somewhat as she moved chakra across her body.

When the door slammed open Sakura jumped in her seat and lost what little momentum she had with her chakra; the pink haired elfling glared as another of her elder brothers walked in. It was Raithor and Thilior; Thilior looked pleased with himself as he carried a small parcel with him and Raithor looked exasperated if nothing else.

Caledhel who had been brushing out knots from Rhossolas's hair jumped with a loud, "Ai Elbereth!" The brush in his hand jerked upwards as well, which nearly yanked Rhossolas from his seat in front of Caledhel and Sakura. The red head hissed in pain and turned to snatch the brush from his younger brother what little snip he had on his tongue died at the look in Sakura's eyes.

While he had seen his little sister angry, he had never seen her outright hostile before and the young elfling jumped to her feet and rushed Thilior. Her little fists pounded on his leg, "Have you no manners Thilior! You scared us!"

Sakura was mad that her concentration had been thoroughly broken and that Thilior had accidentally set off a small fight or flight instinct in Sakura. The small part of her that would never cease to be a shinobi was tensed and coiled, ready to fight if need be. But the part of her that was still an Elfling was frightened, for in her new life she rarely felt the need to be afraid.

The pink haired ex-shinobi didn't like the reminder.

Thilior, dear idiot Thilior, merely smiled down at his sister and knelt to get on her eye level. "Ah Lothris, I have a present for you!" At the small cough from Raithor, Thilior scratched the top of his head in embarrassment, "I mean, we have a present for you dear sister!"

His bright smile dimmed somewhat when Sakura merely huffed and folded her arms, the glare on her face not softening one bit. She didn't look at the present in awe, nor did she smile in happiness at receiving a present like most children her age should. Instead she looked like she could maim him, and Thilior paused.

"Lothris?" Raithor asked in question, and her gaze shifted to him and he found himself to be under that intense stare. "Will you not open your present? We thought you might like something new to play with."

Thilior chose that moment to nudge the parcel again towards her and Sakura glared at him, "No."

All four brothers looked at her, and Caledhel came up next to her and knelt down next to her, "Sorry dear sister, would you mind repeating yourself for me?"

Her foul gaze didn't lighten up, "No!" she huffed in anger.

Rhossolas tilted his head slightly, "No you will not answer? Or no you do not want to open your present?"

Sakura turned her gaze to the ground and bit her lip, "I do not wish for it, I do not wish to play!"

"And why is that Lothris?" Raithor asked gently, as he also knelt by his sister.

The same little sister that was tensing even further if possible he noticed. He watched Sakura grit her teeth as she looked up, her bright green eyes cutting into him like steel through flesh. "Because. Playing is childish and useless. Playing is for babies," she grumbled under her breath. Rhossolas, Caledhel, and Thilior broke out in smiles while Raithor looked worried.

Thilior reached out and set the parcel down on the ground before pinching at Sakura's cheeks, and Raithor watched as Sakura grew more agitated. "Ai, but you are a baby still Lothris! And you will continue to be one until you reach your first one hundred years of life!" Thilior sung at her with a wide grin.

"Thilior! Enough, if Lothris does not wish to open it then we should leave her be! Can you not see how upset she is?" Raithor slapped his brother's hands away from Sakura's face and she lowered her head before turning off and running to her room.

"Ai! Lothris! Little sister," she heard one of them call out, but the young pink haired elfling ignored them.

She slammed the door open and closed to her room, her nursery as her brothers would call it, and climbed into her bed. The soft light green quilts where heavily cushioned for her comfort and the large soft pillows were so different than the ones in the Elemental Nations. Even in the sanctuary of her room NURSERY Sakura was still reminded of the differences in her different lives. Sakura curled up under the quilt and tried to tap into her chakra pathways again.

The pathways felt so terribly closed off but she could still feel her chakra moving so slowly, but to her shocked delight it seemed to be gathering at her forehead. Albeit it was gathering as if it was one grain at a time.

Downstairs, her four brothers merely stared at the unopened gift in silence.

~.~.~.

After laying in her bed for hours moving her chakra, Sakura made herself get up to feed her hungry stomach. Her little feet padded silently on the wood of her family's home. In the living area she could feel the muddied chakras of her brothers and some of their wives, all talking lowly as if they didn't want to gain her attention. The young elfling diverted her chakra from her forehead to her ears, and slowly she could hear what her family was talking about.

"-the happenings towards the south, King Gil-Galad has been in commune with Lord Celebrimbor and has heard of the deception of Annatar. How he revealed himself to be Sauron and absconded with a Ring of Power after failing to steal all of the Rings that Lord Celebrimbor forged," Raithor spoke lowly, and Sakura could hear her sister-in-law, Melueth, humming softly to her husband.

Lastedir sighed, "Lord Celebrimbor has been fighting this evil for near ninety years, and Father and Mother have worried that there is to be a war soon. There is something foul in the world going on and I fear they will be dragged into it."

Sakura could hear the way that someone fidgeted in their seat, and Rhossolas spoke up, "Why do you sit so uneasily Glirion? Is there something you wish to share with us?"

She crept forward silently and tilted her head slightly to see her family. All of the family, minus her parents, were gathered. Glirion sat with Thilior and Caledhel, while Caledhel held hands with his soon to be bride Nemiril. Next to the couple to be, Raithor sat on the ground with Melueth resting against him. On a sofa across from them Lastedir and Rhossolas sat side by side, with their wives by their sides. Lastedir's wife, Tirnel, sat primly with her dark hair flowing freely down her back. Rhossolas's wife, Lothuial fiddled with her dark red hair as Rhossolas ran his thumb up and down her forearm gently.

The little elfling watched as Glirion bowed his head in anguish, his silver locks hiding his face, "Father and Mother have been sent from Lindon to Eregion with a battalion of elves."

Thilior's head snapped to the side and he gawked at Glirion, "No, tell me you are jesting! Tell me that Father and Mother are still at their post in Harlindon!"

When Glirion didn't answer, Thilior stood up abruptly and stepped around Raithor and Meleuth. He paced the room in an upset manner, a stormy look on his face. Caledhel's head dropped to his hands and Sakura watched helplessly as Nemiril tried to soothe him.

"How can this be?" Rhossolas asked, "How can King Gil-Galad send Mother and Father away like that?"

Lastedir sighed, "Mother is a Commander in his army, and while Father is merely a member of her company he is to follow her where ever she may go. Mother probably received new orders and left with Father."

"Mother and Father are old, they forget often when they are and how much time has passed them. Despite being older than King Gil-Galad and Lady Galadriel, they have never striven for greatness. They have merely done as they will! Before meeting Mother, Father was more than happy to never see battle again after he escaped Gondolin during its Fall, but relented to Mother's wishes to be a warrior since she would never be happy solely from rearing children! Mother rejoiced in the following the leadership of others, even if it meant she were to cross the Helcaraxë despite at the threat of dying," Raithor added.

"Do not forget they are our parents! They love us terribly!" Glirion interrupted.

"But to leave with only telling you, Glirion! Without saying anything to us! That is not the actions of loving parents, that is their selfishness showing! What will we tell Lothris? For she is barely ten springs old and has spent no more than three years with Mother and Father, and that was only because she was being breastfed!" Thilior exclaimed.

Sakura, who has been left behind over and over again in her past life, couldn't help but to expose herself by bursting into tears. Big fat tears fell from her eyes and she plopped down onto her rear and cried; cried for the parents that put their own happiness and careers over their children. She cried for the fact that her parents would miss the wedding of Caledhel and Nemiril.

While Kizashi and Mebuki loved their daughter dearly, they never really understood her despite their best efforts. It seemed that both Calemir and Lúthril would never love her like her first parents. For they put themselves first, before the wellbeing of their youngest child. They left her to be raised by her six brothers and their wives, and went into the world to do as they wished.

If they really loved her like her first parents then they would know how Sakura liked her tea, they would know how she enjoyed reading of Elven history, and they would not have left her without saying goodbye.

So she cried for a love that she would never get to bask in: the unconditional love of a parent for their child.

All at once, the room exploded into action.

Thilior, who had been pacing was the first to reach Sakura, he scooped her up and tried to soothe her. But she was taken from him by Melueth, who had been the other one to reach her after Thilior had. She could hear Melueth tell Thilior to calm down, that him being upset will not calm Lothris down by any means.

When Sakura looked up at Melueth, she could only wonder why her parents did not want to be there for her like her sister-in-law. Sakura tucked her little face in Melueth's shoulder, getting her pristine dress dirty with tears and snot. One hand wound up clutching the front of her dress, while her other was holding one of Melueth's golden braids tightly.

"Do not cry Lothris, all is well," Melueth tried to soothe her.

"Ai! Give her here Melueth!" one of her brothers cried out, Sakura dimly thought it sounded like Glirion, but for all she knew it could have been Lastedir.

Melueth was reluctant to give Sakura away after just getting her, but Sakura found her hands being pried from Melueth. Her grasping hands found the wild hair of Rhossolas instead, the idea that he parents didn't want her hurt terribly. It pained her already wounded soul that had yet to heal from the trauma it received from her previous life in the Elemental Nations.

"-her spirit! I don't know what ails her so!"

"Oh really? It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Mother and Father left her without so much as an 'I love you'!?"

"Don't get smart with me Thilior!"

"I will do what I want brother!"

"Enough, don't you all see that this is merely upsetting your little sister more? Lothris feels as if she is fading and there is naught a reason for the arguing!", ahh that was Lothuial it seemed. Sakura rubbed her face against Rhossolas's tunics and hiccuped miserably. Her elder brother caressed her hair softly, and whispered how much he loved her.

She felt her brother sink to the ground and cradle her carefully. Her chakra was running amok and it felt as if it could be ripped from her body at any moment, but it latched on greedily to Rhossolas's own sluggish chakra. Sakura felt the love and affection he felt for her and it soothed her aching soul greatly. Her head was pounding in pain and she felt terrible; the muscles in her face aching from being clenched up to cry.

Around her, her family had quieted at Lothuial's reprimand and her chakra swirled around her before settling back into her body. Anchored for now until the next great upset it seemed. At this she could feel Rhossolas relax and tip her back from him just enough so she could see his face.

"Now, what are you doing sneaking about Lothris?" he asked.

Sakura dropped her head in shame, the only reason she had gotten caught was because she couldn't help her childish emotions from lashing out at the thought that her own parents would rather fight in a war than be with her. That they had probably never wanted her and left her to be reared by her own brothers.

"I was hun-hungry, b-but then I he-ard you all talking," she managed to get out.

Rhossolas sighed be used his thumbs to clean her face of snot and tears, "You heard us talking about Mother and Father then?" At her nod Rhossolas looked to her other brothers for guidance, but Sakura interjected before anyone could.

"Do they not like me brother? Am I the reason they never come home?" Sakura asked, her big green eyes filling again with tears to her annoyance. She was rather fed up with this whole being a child thing.

"No! No, Lothris they love you! They would do anything for you!" Glirion tried to console her.

Sakura merely leaned into Rhossolas and sighed, "But not enough to want to come home."

To that her brothers had nothing to say, because Sakura was right. They loved each other more than they loved their children, so where Lúthril goes so will Calemir.

"Do not fear my dear sister, for we will never cease to love you," Glirion smiled at her, "We have loved you since Mother first became pregnant with you and we will love you until the end of our days."

She huffed and leaned further into her brother's embrace, and began the process of focusing her chakra back towards the beginning of her seal in her forehead. "Can I have something to eat brother? Please?" she asked Rhossolas and her red haired brother grinned.

"Of course Lothris, would you enjoy some stew? Lothuial made some earlier in the day whilst you slept," her brother gathered her up and brought her to the kitchen as the rest of her family joined. They all gathered around the table. Caledhel and Nemiril set about gathering bowls and silverware, while both Glirion and Thilior went about serving drinks.

Sakura was set on a bench seat next to Melueth, and any other day she would have protested the fact that someone tied a small napkin around the base of her neck. But today she was tired. Sakura was tired of the pain she held in her soul and how her child body reacted to things like a child would. The young girl made grabby hands when she saw Thilior approach her with a small mug of what she hoped was steamed honey milk.

Her shortest brother was still upset over the earlier conversation, but seeing Sakura act like the child she was made him terribly happy. After he handed her the mug, she took a big sip of her drink before Melueth made her stop before she could spill her drink down her front. All her brothers snuck glances at her as their solemn little sister sat with a little mustache of white on her upper lip from her milk drink.

Whatever concerns they had for Sakura from her earlier behavior disappeared briefly; as she looked up at Melueth in question when the older elleth used her napkin to clean her face off, they all decided that their little sister would be okay.

At least for the moment.

Okay, the amount of research I put into LOTR lore is insane, there is like five tabs open on my computer all about things that happened or are in the Second Age.
