And now for the next student file, Jaune Arc. Now, this and Ragna's are the only ones I already had made prior to uploading them to here and Spacebattles (I don't exactly know if I'll also be uploading them to Sufficient Velocity given that BlazBlue Alternative: Remnant has gotten so little traffic there that it's a borderline ghost town. I may upload them to Archive of Our Own later down the road when I figure out how to put things into a series), but like I said, given how little time it takes to make these compared to actual chapters, I should have Noel's and Ruby's up soon enough without too much time being taken. Not sure if it'll be today exactly, but somewhere within the span of the next few days is when I should have all the members of Team RNJR on file for this side story.

Something to keep in mind is that while Ozpin is completely aware that Jaune cheated his way into Beacon Academy via his fake transcripts, the rest of the staff does not, as Glynda's reaction to Jaune both in canon and her POVs in the main story can attest to. As such, given that piece of information, as well as the fact that this is being presented to the Beacon staff members at the end of the semester (aka the end of V1 for BAR), I'll be writing this while trying to keep that aspect hidden from the in-universe teachers. Anyway...

Description:
Jaune Arc was undoubtedly rather problematic as a student very early into the semester, in large part due to his lack of skill and experience compared to those of his peers. However, even then, he showed good signs of potential as a Huntsman, such as when he saved and protected his partner, Noel Vermillion, from the Death Stalker during initiation. Said potential has born fruit, as his fellow teammate, Ragna, has helped train him, making him a more proficient combatant.
He can best be described as kindhearted but ultimately naïve. It seems that he applied under the belief that becoming a Huntsman would be relatively easy. Thankfully, he's grown to better understand that is not the case and has adapted himself accordingly, given that he's now more hardworking to keep pace with those around him. But despite the progress he's made, he still has a long way to go before he'll be close in level to his peers.
As far as swordsmanship goes, Jaune has displayed rather poor capabilities with his blade, with his attacks being clumsy and easily telegraphed, not to mention that because of this, it's easy for him to get disarmed of his weapon and leave him with less offensive options. However, he has shown solid defensive capabilities, in part thanks to his shield and in part due to his durability, which can be attributed to his abnormally high levels of Aura. This also contributed to his physical strength, which has proven enough to block and push against a Death Stalker, albeit with great strain.
Contrasting his peers, Jaune has yet to learn what his Semblance is, though he has been putting effort in trying to learn what it could be. During his free time, he's been seen reading and taking notes on applications of Aura and Semblance so as to figure out how to hone his abilities.
However, Jaune's largest issue is that he seems to have very low self-esteem and is highly critical of himself. Time with his teammates has mitigated this to an extent, but he's shown to occasionally lapse into lambasting himself. Though he tries to play it off comedically so that few would pay him any mind, thankfully, his teammates are perceptive enough to see through the act and aid him in this predicament.

Extra Notes:

* Seems to have talent as a musician. Mainly with the guitar.

* Initially struggled in early classes, but has become more academically inclined as the semester went on.

* Of his teammates, he's closest to his partner, Miss Vermillion.

* His weaponry is a family heirloom, having been wielded by his great-great grandfather during the events of the Great War.

* Reportedly paid a fine for burning a school library book. Miss Rose helped cover the damage.

** Reason behind burning was due to said book being vandalized with suggestive artwork by a member of Team CRDL.

* First victim at Beacon of Miss Vermillion's "Death Dinner", as they have been called. Hopefully he will also be the last. See Noel Vermillion's student file for more details in this regard.

And with Jaune's out of the way, we're now tackling Noel Vermillion's file next time. This will also help to give some minor backstory elements out of the way as well for her, but nothing super major.

Though you can definitely expect Oz to make it very clear that the only way Beacon will not be destroyed in the next week is by ensuring that Noel NEVER ENTER THE KITCHEN EVER AGAIN!

Something that I should also bring up here is that I named Jaune's parents Arthur and Joanna (after King Arthur and JOAN of Arc). I figured that they'd be given names here as a point of reference and contact, but since we have yet to learn their names in canon, I'mma just make some names for them here. If they ever do get named in canon eventually, I'll keep the names the same here. It's an Alternate Universe Fusion fic after all, not everything needs to be one-to-one exactly the same as canon.
