Friendly Get-Togethers

A few days later, Emily was feeling back to her old self again. She was able to go out and attend her activities such as hanging out with her friends and baking treats. She was also able to go back to working at the bakery.

While at the bakery, Emily was asked to mind the register and take orders while her bosses were at the storage unit getting ingredients to bake with. It wasn't a hard task, but it would sometimes get boring. But sometimes she would see a few familiar faces pass by while looking through the glass wall where the front door was.

Rafael came through the door holding a bouquet of roses. "Hi, Emily," he greeted. "You're looking a lot better."

"Hi, Rafael," she returned. "Nice to see you stop by."

He presents her with the bouquet. "I was wondering, if you're not doing anything this weekend, would you like to go to dinner with me?"

She looked at the flowers, then back at Rafael. "Sorry, I can't. I've already got plans to spend the weekend with Téa."

"Oh," he replied. "Well, how about I take you home later tonight when you get off? I could buy you dinner then."

Before she can answer, Valon comes through the door. "Hey, mates. Lovely day, isn't it?"

"Hey, Valon," Emily greeted. "Just stopping to say 'hi?'"

"Actually, I thought I'd stop and pick up a treat for meself," he said.

Emily offered him a free sample of her homemade tiramisu. She offered some to Rafael as well. Both boys took a sample and happily ate it. Sometimes, once in a while, the boys would stop by the bakery and buy some of Emily's goods to take home for desert. Also, when trying a sample of her goods, they would sometimes put tips in the jar next to the cash register.

A second later, Duke Devlin came through the door. "Hey, Rafael, Valon, I didn't expect to see you guys here."

"Hey, Duke," they greeted.

"What brings you here?" the blonde girl asked.

"I figured you'd be here today, Emily, so I thought I'd stop by." He approaches the front desk and says, "I'm having a barbecue next weekend and I was wondering if you wanted to come." He moves closer to her and whispers, "You can even bring Gatomon along."

"Really," she asked.

"Sure," he insisted. "I mean, I have a Digimon too, remember?"

She did remember. "How is Monodramon, by the way?"

"He's really looking forward to seeing everyone," he answered. He turns his attention back to the others and says, "You guys are invited too, if you want to come."

Valon liked the sound of that. "Sure, I'd like that."

Rafael nodded. "We'll be sure to let Alister know."

"Great," Duke replied. "In the meantime, Emily, can I get one of your apple pies?"

"Sure thing, Duke," she answered. She got a pie from the back and placed it in a box and sealed it. She calculated the price on the register and said, "Okay, that'll be $12.95."

Duke presented her with $15.00. "Keep the change," he insisted. "I'll see you guys around."

After bidding Duke goodbye, Rafael and Valon decided to buy a few treats of their own. Valon got a pumpkin spice brownie for himself and Rafael got a French Vanilla cake for desert. It costed them $23.50, but they didn't complain about the price. They left happy with their treats.

Meanwhile, Téa was in the world of the Sailor Scouts. She came to the Hikawa Shrine dressed in a sailor uniform for female high school students. She met up with the Sailor Scouts, informing the girls that she was having a slumber party and was inviting them. Of course, Serena was eager to come. The others remembered that the flow of time is different in each world. This meant that if they went to Téa's world, time would stand still for them in their world. Amy, Lita, Mina, and Raye talked about it amongst each other. It had been a while since any of them last saw their friends.

After discussing it, the girls decided that they would all go to Téa's house for a slumber party. Besides, they kind of needed a break from battling monsters day after day.

Just then, three other girls came by. Their names were Amara, Michelle, and Trista. Amara was a little more masculine than she was feminine because she always dressed herself in men's clothing. She was also quite an athlete and had a thing for cars and racing. Her hair was like the color of sand and her eyes were a deep blue. Her younger cousin Michelle was quite an elegant young lady. She had a talent in playing the violin and even performed for symphonies and orchestras and she also had a talent for painting as well. Michelle had wavy blue hair like the waves of the ocean and eyes as blue as the ocean itself. Trista had dark green hair tied back in a single bun and her eyes were a garnet red and her skin tone was slightly darker than her friends.

"Amara, Michelle, Trista," Téa said, surprised. "Hi, girls."

"Hi, Téa," Amara returned.

"Nice to see you again," said Michelle.

"Last we saw you, Emily was introducing you to everyone," said Trista.

"Is Emily feeling better?" Michelle asked with concern. "When we heard she was sick, we were worried."

Téa nodded. "She's doing a lot better now. It's been a while since we all hung out together, so we're having a slumber party at my house."

"You guys should come," Serena eagerly suggested. "I'm sure Emily and the others would be happy to see you again."

Several weeks ago, Yugi, Joey, Kaiba, and Emily returned to this world to help their allies with a new threat. They received an alert that a new enemy was looking for pure hearts and were called for help. That was when they met Amara, Michelle, and Trista and discovered that they were Sailor Scouts too. Amara was Sailor Uranus, Michelle was Sailor Neptune, and Trista was Sailor Pluto.

In turn, Amara, Michelle, and Trista learned about the Heroes of Millennia and their journey to find and gather the shards of the Cobalt Star. The three girls weren't accustomed to working in large groups, but they agreed that they could all be friends and allies. They even visited the Pure Valley at one point and met some of the heroes from the other worlds as well.

It was a rare opportunity for the three of them to live ordinary lives because they took themselves a little too seriously, so whenever they got the chance, they would make the most of it. As such, they agreed to join in on the slumber party. With that being settled, Téa decided to come back for the girls once all the arrangements would be made and everything would be ready.
