Chapter 2

"Hey Kate, its Kara," the blonde said on the way out of CatCo. She'd placed a call to the female Dark Knight prior to getting on the horn to Lena.

"Hey, are you all set?" Kate asked.

"My flight leaves in three hours. I should be landing at Gotham International in the wee hours of tomorrow," if she was flying Supergirl airlines it would have taken her a lot less time but she couldn't exactly file that with the expenses department of CatCo.

"Text me when your connecting flight actually leaves the airport. I'll be at the airport to pick you up," the brunette promised.

"You sure? It's going to be late," Kara pointed out, knowing full well her friend would be up. Her bigger concern was that she'd be called away to handle something of the villain variety. Of course she couldn't come out and say that on the phone.

"I'm sure it'll fine. See you soon," with that the call was over and Kara then called Lena.

"Hi Lena, its Kara. Do you want to get some lunch?" The blonde asked her friend.

"I really can't leave the office right now. Can we meet up tomorrow?" The raven haired woman wanted to know.

"I'm leaving for Gotham in three hours. I wanted to check in and see how you were doing before I left," Kara told her.

"Go do what you have to do. No worries over here," Lena replied but her friend could tell that something was bothering her. Not needing to guess what it was Kara came up with an idea.

"All right. Talk to you soon," the call was over and the blonde headed for the local sandwich shop. Lena might not be able to talk but she still needed to eat.

Meanwhile, Brainy was sitting at the DEO's main computers, struggling to figure out what to do in order to help Lillian. Her body could not remain in stasis forever. The DEO's stasis chambers were not exactly the same as the ones they had on the Legion ship, which put people into a cryo-sleep state. Lillian's muscles would start to deteriorate, just like someone who is in a hospital in a coma. Granted the chamber slowed the process down but it couldn't completely eliminate it. The whole point behind the chamber was to slow bodily processes as much as humanly possible without fully stopping them. Cryo-sleep was not something he was sure that a human could survive. After coming out of that state, Mon-El and Imra were not exactly themselves right away. Of course they had been in there for years but at any rate, he wasn't willing to try it on an already compromised person.

"Hey, how's it going?" Agent Smith asked, breaking the Coluan's train of thought.

"Not as well as I hoped," he frowned.

"Sorry. I need your opinion on something; can you step away for a few minutes?" Smith wondered.

"Perhaps that would be best to clear my head," Brainy nodded and stood from his seat. The two moved to the main computer screen.

"Billy pull up that info from the FBI would you?" Smith asked a younger blonde man over a few feet away from where the Coluan had been sitting. Quickly Billy pulled up the files and then projected them to the main screen so they were enlarged.

"Andrea has not popped up on the radar anywhere?" Brainy was surprised.

"None of her bank accounts have been touched. No reports of someone trying to use her passport or social security number. I thought for sure that someone would be helping her by at least trying to access her money but she seems to have completely vanished," Smith said.

"Well now that we know she has powers, it's quite possible, she's just using them. Do a quick search in the surrounding cities. See if there has been an uptick in petty theft or even grand larceny," the Coluan suggested.

"Might as well steal since you're a wanted felon?" The DEO agent smirked.

"It's much easier to do since you can hide in the shadows," Brainy nodded.
