The next thing she knew, she was winging towards her sister, smiling. "What is up with you?" Her sister mused, lashing her tail with obvious amusement. Chakra smiled, looking into her sister's dark blue eyes as she landed next to her. "Oh- You found the one!" She bumped her softly with her snow-white shoulder. "Is he tall? What shade of blue is he? What is his name?" Her sister's mouth filled with questions.
"Oh shut up, you ice snorter!" Chakra bumped her back, more roughly than she had done.
"Sometimes you can be such a pain," Her sister rubbed her wings gingerly as she shot Chakra a hard glare.
"I could say the same about you, Draft, with all your blabbering and questions," Chakra glared back, holding her tongue for yet another rude remark.
"I wish you weren't like the other Icewings, and you would actually love someone!" Draft snarled at her ruefully. "Like me,"
"I do!" Chakra shut her snout, as she flew away from her sister's questions, furrowing her brow sourly.
"Huh? Who is it!?" Her sister beat her wings as fast as she could, but Chakra's wingspan was too large for her to catch up. "I can tell mother!" Draft jeered.
Chakra swerved her head staring at her, shock and anger bubbled up inside of her.
"Don't you dare-" She snarled. She darted after her sister as Draft tried to fly to the heart of the ice kingdom, where their cold mother, Glass, lived.
Chakra rammed into her sister, knocking her out of the sky. They both screamed as they fell towards the trees below. Chakra's eyes opened, scanning the forest where they would fall. I can't see the ground… The pine trees splinter easily, if one of us hits them... Before she could even finish her calculation, bright warm wings spread around her.
"Abner!" She gasped, holding him tightly.
A couple seconds later, she saw that her sister was still dropping, her wings trying to find an air current in vain. Her face was full of fear, and, of course, curiosity.
She won't make it- Chakra opened her eyes wide with fear as she watched her struggling sister plummet towards the icy ground. A few moments passed, and the Sandwing left her there in the air, diving towards her falling sister. She flew down and landed at the perfect time to see her sister's confused face.
"Wh-what?" She stammered, facing Abner as she unraveled herself from his protecting wings.
"Hello, my name is Abner, and it's nice to meet you too," He smirked, winking at Draft. Chakra felt a stab of jealousy at his flirtatious behavior, but remembered what Abner had said to her, on the false brightest night.
