Chapter 1

My Internship Begins

It all began in Class 1-L, one of the hero courses at UA High School, Japan's most prestigious hero school. Everyone shared their hero names in front of the class. After that, their homeroom teacher, Speed Girl along with Mr. Honzo, the gym teacher, handed them a paper that shows a list of hero agencies that wants to hire them for their internship.

This was a surprise for pro hero agencies to ask first-year UA students to have them as an intern, but due to their performance at UA Sports Festival, the pro heroes were very interested in the first-year students at UA High, so they gave them a chance.

Tatsumi read his paper carefully and gasped, but quickly closed his mouth when he found a certain name in the list.

"Please read it through and give it back to me or Mr. Honzo when you have made your decision," Speed Girl reminded them.

"Just be aware to give it back before this weekend," Mr. Honzo stated strictly.

"Wait, but that's only like two days!" Usagi exclaimed.

"Then you better start thinking if I am you," Mr. Honzo said before he left the class with my sister.

"Just want to say that you guys think of the coolest name, y'all!" Eli commented.

"Not as cool as yours, dude," Usagi replied. "Scarabliz sounds so awesome! I bet the villains will shiver just to hear that name."

"To be honest, Clairvoya is a name I thought up at the last moment," Miru admitted.

"Me too," Makoto said.

"That's OK. I think both of the names sound lovely," Felicia commented, which made Miru and Makoto feel prouder.

Tatsumi thought to himself while everyone was discussing their hero names. What made him gasp at his paper was a certain name he hoped to be on it, and his wish came true.

'Droid-Cop Agency! I can't believe that Droid-Cop Agency is on the list! He must have recognized me when he was watching the sports festival! This is awesome! My dream is one step closer to realization!' Tatsumi thought excitedly as he posed with a victory fist.

"Yo, Tatsumi! Hey!" He snapped out of thought and turned to look up at Eli, who was trying to get his attention. "What's with that guts pose, bro? Something exciting happened?"

Tatsumi nodded. "Yeah! In my list of agencies, I am accepted at Droid-Cop Agency!"

"Droid-Cop?" Usagi repeated. "Who is Droid-Cop?"

Tatsumi was shocked. "What?! You don't Droid-Cop?"

He jumped on Usagi, which surprised her much. "Ah, sorry, but no I don't," she admitted as she sweat-dropped.

"I heard about him. He's that famous Pro Hero in Kyoto, and I heard he has own TV show," Eli stated.

"Holy Carrot! Really?" Usagi asked surprisingly.

"That's right! He is a famous Tokustatus Hero, but also works as a Pro Hero, too and his agency is on my list here!" Tatsumi pointed to his paper. "I am definitely going to sign up for my internship!"

"It's all because it's one more step for your dream to become a reality," Miru stated as Tatsumi and others looked at the girl. "Sorry, but I read your mind when I noticed how excited you look."

"Oh, well no problem! I would've admitted anyway because of how excited I am," Tatsumi admitted.

His classmates smiled and felt happy for him. Though, Miro looked over to Kai. "Though, too bad not all of us is getting an offer for an internship."

They remembered that earlier in class, the teachers showed the bar chart on internship offers for each student. Kai Uno was the only one with zero offers.

"Yeah, that sucks and I think Kai did well in the sports festival. I thought he would get at least a few offers," Eli noted.

"Me, too," Usagi agreed.

"The world isn't too nice for sure," Tatsumi said but kept his happy composure. "Well, I am going to sign this now and hand it to Speed Girl immediately! See you guys!"

Tatsumi ran off quickly, surprising them. "Holy Carrot! He's fast!" Usagi gasped.

"Gotta go fast," Eli joked.

"Yeah…" Miru nodded as she sweat-dropped.

Tatsumi Kurate arrived at the teachers' office, which surprised the teachers there when he showed up all sweating and huffing.

"Ms. Speed Girl!" He shouted as he breathed in and out to catch his breath. "I have my paper signed for the internship!"

"Woah! That was fast!" Speed Girl commented as the other teachers, especially Aizawa and Midnight sweat-dropped.

Four days later, it was Sunday evening. Tatsumi Kurate was already packing his stuff into his backpack. He also had a suitcase he received from his school, which is used for students to carry their costumes. However, Tatsumi's costume was consist of the invention he created, which is the Mix Driver that allows him to transform into his hero persona, Kamen Rider Mix.

His driver was powered by two bottles that he inserts. His Quirk was to take on attributes of two Quirks, though slightly weaker than the original counterparts. Then, he stored the copied quirks in small bottles, and he used those bottles for his driver. By inserting two different Quirk bottles, he could mix them and changed his rider form based on those Quirk powers.

He heard someone knocking on the door. "Come in," he said.

"Hello, Tatsumi." His mother came in. His mother was Japanese. Tatsumi was half African American and half Japanese. Both his parents were Quirkless, but somehow, Tatsumi was miraculously born with a Quirk.

"How is the packing going?" She asked.

"It's going great, mom. I am almost finished," he stated as he put more clothes in.

His mother smiled as she sat on the side of his bed.

"Hey, son." Tatsumi looked over his shoulder to his mom. "I just want to say I am proud of you and happy for you, but just be careful alright."

Tatsumi thought but chuckled a bit. "Yeah, of course, mom. I'm always careful."

"I know, dear, but I heard on the news that there have been some crimes going on in Kyoto, so I just want to make sure," his mother said worriedly.

Tatsumi gave a reassuring smile. "Thank you, mom, but don't worry. I will listen to Droid-Cop's every instruction and not get into trouble!"

"That's what I am worried the most about," she whispered to herself.

The next morning, members of Class 1-L gathered at Tatooin Station early in the morning. Everyone here said goodbye to each other. Tatsumi went on the platform for his train ride to Kyoto.

While waiting, he noticed Kai Uno was waiting for his train on the same platform as him. He decided to walk up to him.

"Hey, Mr. Uno." He caught the boy's attention. "Where are you heading for your internship?"

"I am heading out to somewhere near Hosu City. You?" He asked.

"I am heading to Kyoto," Tatsumi answered. "I can't wait to get there and work for Droid-Cop!"

"Droid-Cop? Isn't he that famous Tokusatsu Hero?" Kai asked.

"Oh, so you know him, too? Isn't he awesome?!" Tatsumi asked excitedly as his eyes sparkled.

This aura of enthusiasm reminded Kai of Izuku Midoriya when he's excited.

Kai shrugged. "Well, I think so, but I don't watch his show when I was a kid. He's been around for a long time."

"Yup! His show has 19 seasons, and currently, the 20th season is in production!" Tatsumi explained.

Kai looked up at the schedule board and noticed that a train for Kyoto is arriving at the opposite side of the platform. "Your train is coming in."

"I see," Tatsumi said as he noticed it, too. "Well, thank you for the chat, Mr. Uno, and good luck with your internship! Oh, speaking of which, I didn't even ask who did you apply for your internship!"

"Don't sweat it. You should get on your train," Kai stated.

"Good point! Let's talk more later. See you next week, Mr. Uno!" Tatsumi waved goodbye as he goes to get on his train.

Kai gently smiled but rolled his eyes. "Jeez. When will he stop calling me that as if I am his teacher or something?"

Tatsumi got on the train on time, and moments later, the train began moving. He was on his way to Kyoto.

It took about three hours, but he arrived at Kyoko Station at around 10:30 am. He exited out of the station and entered the city. His breath was stolen when he arrived in Kyoto, one of the oldest cities in Japan with great historical background and sites.

It had many historical monuments, all of them are part of UNESCO. Some of the famous monuments in the city were Kinkaku-Ji, To-Ji, and Kioymizu-dera temple. Another famous thing about Kyoto was the geisha and the Kyoto Tower, which was like the city's symbolic identity, like how Tokyo has the Tokyo Tower or Skytree Tower and New York City has the Empire State Building or One World Trade Center.

"I am finally here!" Tatsumi said as he stretched his arms from sitting on the train for a long time.

He opened up a map and checked for directions. "OK. So I have to go this way to the agency. I can't wait to meet Droid-Cop soon!'

Tatsumi walked excitedly to the agency's office. He didn't notice that someone was looking down at him. He turned around to look up as if he thought someone was watching him, but no one was there. In any way, he headed off to the place.

As he walked to the agency, he noticed people were walking by, most likely the residents of Kyoto, and even saw Geisha walking by, too. He crossed over the river on the bridge and got to the other side. After walking for half an hour, he heard some commotion nearby.

"Hmm? Wait… Could this place be!?" He ran towards to see the commotion. He soon realized that he was in front of the Kyoto Action Studio, a place where he knows that makes a lot of the Tokusatsu shows, including Droid-Cop's show.

"Wow! I am at the front gate for Kyoto Action Studio!" Tatsumi exclaimed as he awed at the front gate and the sign that says the studio's name.

"Hey. Hey, you there! Kid!" Tatsumi snapped out of his thought and looked at the man inside the gate post. The man came out to see Tatsumi. He was a man in a blue security uniform with a head of a bulldog.

"May I help you with something?" He asked kindly.

"Oh! Sorry, but I have just heard some commotion and awed when I realized this is the famous Kyoto Action Studio! This is the place where they make Droid-Cop's show, right?"

The security guard was a bit surprised to see how excited Tatsumi is, but he knew how people feel, so he just grinned and said, "That's right. This is the place."

"Wow! This is amazing!" Tatsumi's eyes sparkled and a bit of drew coming out of the month.

The security guard sweat-dropped at the boy but then realized. "Hey, aren't you a student from UA High?"

"Huh? Oh! Yes, I am. How did you know?" Tatsumi asked.

"Well, I saw you at the sports festival, of course!" The man chuckled. "But if you are from UA High, then that means…. You came to the right place. Hang out for a second, so I can open the gate for you."

"Wait, what?!" Tatsumi gasped. "You will allow me to go in!"

"Sure thing because I was asked to. You are Mister Droid-Cop's new intern," the guard stated.

"Wow! Thank you, sir," Tatsumi said gratefully as the gate opened, allowing him to enter.

"Mister Droid-Cop's assistant, Miss Kobayashi told me that when you arrive, you should go and meet her at Studio #7. That is where they are shooting Mister Droid-Cop's show. Have fun and good luck, kid," the guard said.

"Thank you for everything, sir and I will," Tatsumi replied as he walked into the studio area.

His heart was racing so fast with excitement that it was hard to control for himself. He walked past all the studios until he stopped at Number 7.

"This is it…Studio #7. I still can't believe I am here!" Tatsumi thought excitedly as his heartbeat louder and faster.

He slowly approached the knob of the door when suddenly, the door opened for himself, surprising him a bit. Out the door came a tall woman with long, red hair in a typical business suit and business skirt, pair of black shoes, and black eyeglasses.

When she came out the door, she looked pretty, but very strict and serious, which made Tatsumi a bit nervous when he looked at her.

"Are you Mr. Tatsumi Kurate?" She asked.

"Huh? Oh, yes! It's nice to meet you, Miss! I am, uh, Tatsumi Kurate!" He answered hesitantly.

The woman stared at him, which made him sweat nervously. She offered her hand and Tatsumi blinked. "It's pleasure to meet you, Mr. Kurate. My name is Nadia."

"Oh! Um, it's nice to meet you, too, maim!" He replied as he shook her hand with his.

"Charming," she said as she turned to enter the studio. "Come this way. I will lead you inside, and meet Mr. Droid-Cop."

Tatsumi grinned widely as he quickly followed after the mysterious woman.

She showed him inside the studio, which had what a studio would have, and when they arrived, and saw it happening.

"Oh my god! Is this?!" Tatsumi asked.

"This is it. This is Mr. Droid-Cop's set, and they are currently filming," Nadia explained as they watched Droid-Cop was being filmed.

"Surrender, villain!" Droid-Cop exclaimed as he pointed accusingly at the villain, who looked like a monster with two antennas.

Droid-Cop was wearing an armored costume with blue, red, and white color, like a police officer. The flat pads on the shoulder were red sirens, the pair of boots were black color with wheels attached on the side near the back and the front and white helmet with black visor.

"Never, Droid-Cop if it is the last thing I will do!" The villain argued back as he fired a beam from his antennas.

"It's time to end this!" Droid-Cop shouted epically as he held something in his hand, which was a ring that soon transformed into a large jitte, an ancient weapon that the police in the Edo Period of Japan used.

The jitte absorbed the beam, and then Droid-Cop slammed the absorbed energy into the ground, which created a shockwave that moved through the ground and towards the villain. He lost balance due to it, and that was when Droid-Cop ran toward him and apprehended him.

"You are under arrest, villain!" Droid-Cop stated.

"Oh, man!" The villain cried.

"And cut!" The director said. "Good job, everyone. That will be the end for today, and great job to you, Droid-Cop!"

"Phew," Droid-Cop said as he let go of the actor who was playing the villain. "Need a hand?"

"Thank you, Mister Droid-Cop," the villain actor accepted his help as he got back up. "See you tomorrow."

"See ya," Droid-Cop greeted back as he walked away from the set until he noticed Tatsumi and Nadia.

"Hey, Nadia! How are you doing? And who is this kid with you? Your secret child?" He joked.

Nadia's eyes twitched, then fixed her throat. "No sir. This is Tatsumi Kurate. He is your new intern from UA High that will be working with you for one week."

"I know, I know. I was just kidding with you," Droid-Cop said as he took off his helmet. His real face was revealed to be a man with a short beard and long, curly blond hair.

"Nice to meet ya, Tatsumi! My name is Kazuma Heiji, or everybody calls me Droid-Cop," Heiji greeted.

"It's such an honor to meet you, sir!" Tatsumi shook hand with Heiji, though very strongly.

"I saw you on the TV. The way you fought in the UA Sports Festival left an impression on me. I am glad that you chose my agency, and I hope to work with you for this entire week. I will show you the rope around here, and we'll have a blast," Heiji said enthusiastically.

"Thank you, Mr. Droid-Cop, sir!" Tatsumi agreed.

Suddenly, an explosion was heard, which shook the studio's building a bit.

"What was that?!" One of the staff members said frantically.

"Come on, Tatsumi! Let's go check outside and see what just happened!" Heiji declared as he put back on his helmet.

"Ah, yes sir!" Tatsumi followed after Droid-Cop as they exited out of the studio.

They turned and saw a cloud of smoke coming out from the other side of the wall.

"A fire?!" Tatsumi exclaimed.

"The Kyoto Central Bank was exploded! This is the work of villains!" Droid-Cop stated. "Come on, Tatsumi! Transform into your hero suit, and let's get to work!"

"Um! Yes sir!" Tatsumi quickly opened the suitcase he received from UA High. It contained his driver and bottles he uses for transformation.

"It's mixing time!" Tatsumi exclaimed as he put on the Mix Driver on his belt and then started shaking two bottles.

He inserted the two bottles in the driver.

"Bug Body! Engine! Best Mix!" His driver said as his body transformed into his rider suit. One half of the suit was green in color with yellow and black shades, and the right half had an eye lens shaped like a dragonfly's wing. The other half of the suit was white with some black parts. The eye lens had a similar shape to the right eye, except that it made a shape of three engine pipes swaying outward. His calves were also thick and shaped like automobile engines, with three silver exhaust pipes sticking out from each one.

"Let's go, Tatsumi or should I say… Kamen Rider Mix!" Droid-Cop exclaimed.

"Yes sir!" Kamen Rider Mix stated as he and Droid-Cop jumped over the wall. Nadia watched them jumping over the wall, which was ten feet tall. She stared, looking unimpressed as she walked away.

At the bank, where the smokes were coming from, two figures came out of the building. They were both women. The first one was a woman with skinny woman with a mid-sized chest, wearing a yellow skin-tight costume with white lightning stripes. Her hair was spiky with bangs that went upward. Her body sparked with electricity and her eyes were yellow while wearing a yellow eye mask.

"Kee, kee, kee!" She laughed with a grin. "This feels great! It looks like that lead was right!"

"It sure is, sister." Out of the smoke revealed the second woman. This one was wearing a green skin-tight suit with dark blue color on her armpit area. Her green hair was long with large bangs that went downward and some stripes in lighter green color. She had a more curvaceous body with a bigger chest, and instead of a yellow eye mask, her eye mask was a minty green color.

"It's a villain!" One of the bystanders screamed.

"But they are not just any villain! They are the Weather Twins!" Another bystander yelled. "They are two troublesome twin sisters who have power like two things that you see in weather! Lightning and Wind!"

"Yeah! I saw them on TV news once! I think their names are Fuijin and Raijin!" Another person added as a random woman screamed.

"It looks like we are famous here in Kyoto, too, Fujin. Kee, kee, kee!" Raijin laughed.

"It seems like so, Raijin," Fujin stated as three bags of money hovered in midair with control of the wind by using her left hand.

"Hold it right there, ladies!" Droid-Cop and Kamen Rider Mix entered the scene.

"It's Droid-Cop!" One of the bystanders yelled. "He's here to save us!"

"Droid-Cop!" A woman cheered.

"So you two must be the lovely, infamous Weather Twins?" Droid-Cop said. "If only you two were well-behaved ladies, I would've taken you both on a double date."

'Droid-Cop would take two women on a date?!' Tatsumi thought with a surprised expression.

"Tch No thanks. Been there, done that," sniffed Raijin.

"Well, that's too bad. Then, I guess I will take you both to the prison instead!" Droid-Cop declared.

"Uuuh, I love men who act tough. Let's see if you can!" Fujin responded by swaying her right hand, summoning a strong gust of wind just from a simple sway of the hand.

"Woah!" Tatsumi flew back and scratched onto the gravel, but grabbed on to stop from getting blown away too much.

Droid-Cop stood as strong as he can.

"Tch! It looks like I didn't put enough strength in it, but this gives us time," Fuijin stated.

"Yeah! Let's jet!" Raijin exclaimed as she grabbed one of the money bags, and zapped away.

"They are getting away! Come on, Rider Mix! We are chasing after them!" Droid-Cop stated as he turned on the wheels on his feet, moving like a vehicle as sirens on his shoulder pad turned on.

"Y-Yes, sir!" Kamen Rider Mix got back up as quickly as he could.

'Damn it! I missed up, but I can still make it up by catching the villain!' He thought.

"You go after Raijin, and I will take care of Fujin!" Droid-Cop ordered quickly.

"Got it!" Kamen Rider Mix agreed.

Droid-Chop chased after Fuijin as she was flying away. Kamen Rider Mix saw that Raijin was escaping by sliding or skating over the power lines.

He chased after her on the street level. She zipped and zapped from pole to pole, moving on the power line. She was fast, but Tatsumi managed to catch up thanks to using the Engine Quirk.

"Come back here!" He yelled at her as they were running into a warehouse area.

"Pesky thing! Why have a little shock!" Raijin fired a bolt of lightning at him, but Katsumi dodged just right when he noticed her arms moving.

"Woah! That was close!" He continued chasing after her.

Raijin was getting annoyed. She wanted to get rid of him as soon as she could, but she wondered how. Then, she saw something up ahead. There was a gas tank parked near a warehouse. She got a sinister look on her face as she ran faster ahead.

Once she passed over the parked tank truck, she fired. "See ya later, sucker!"

Her lightning struck the parked tank truck, which caused a huge explosion that made Tatsumi flew off into the air.

"Gaaaaaaaaahhhhh!" He screamed as he hit on the ground strongly. The impact of the fall hurt him so much that it caused him to lose consciousness.

"Rat…. She's…. Getting…. Away!" He tried to reach her with his arm, but then fainted at that moment.

When he did, someone approached over to him and picked him up.

Hello, MHA fan! I am back with the first official chapter 1 for my first MHA spin-off fanfic. This is technically my second fanfiction for My Hero Academia, but first spin-off to my Line of Good and Evil series.

We have Tatsumi Kurate from Class 1-L of UA High to arrive in Kyoto for his internship. He meets his idol and supervisor, Droid-Cop and his lovely assistant, Nadia Kobayashi. Unfortunately, a villain duo attacked a nearby bank. We meet Raijin and Fuijin. These duo have an obvious inspiration, but if you don't know, they are based on the two gods or deities in Japanese myth with the same name. They appear in one famous screen painting, which funny enough, you can find it as an artifact for the arts exhibit in Animal Crossing game.

What do you think of this chapter and what do you think will happen in the future? Just who was the person who appeared at the end?

Until next time, stay safe and as always...

Go beyond! PLUS ULTRA!
