Kobayashi, Lucoa, and Shota were knocked backwards from the blast. Kobayashi tried to see what had happened, but her vision was blurry and her ears were ringing. It was lika flashbang went off in the room (which, it kinda did).
They slowly got up. The room's furniture was all tipped over. Papers and smoke were flying everywhere. Some smoke was still coming out of the pentagram and candles. The pentagram's glow was starting to dim. Kobayashi peered through the smoke. She could see one body laying there. Hold on, where'd the other one go? Did one of them blow up or something? She definitely hoped that wasn't the case, and she hoped it wasn't Tohru who blew up.
Shota grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher and sprayed it on the candles. This caused the smoke to dissipate, revealing…
"Ugh, my head."
"What happened?"
"Hey, get off me?"
"Why are you so close?"
"Oh my god."
Tohru and Elma were fused together. Elma's top half was now where Tohru's bottom half used to be. Both their bottom halves were gone. They looked like the queen in a deck of cards, or CatDog, or something similar. Also, their bras had burned off in the explosion, revealing their sizable breasts.
"AAH! Shota-baby, look away!"
"Huh? How did this happen? I was sure I got it right!"
"What. The. HELL, Am I looking at?"
Tohru and Elma then realized what had happened to them.
"AAAA!"
"AAAA!"
"AAAAAA!"
"Oh my."
"Come on, come on! The reversal spell should be in here somewhere!"
"Change us back!"
"Gimme a sec!"
Tohru and Elma started struggling and pushing against each other. Tohru pushed on Elma's breast, and Elma pushed on Tohru's face. It didn't work, obviously. They were stuck pretty good. Shota frantically kept flipping through his spellbook. He was sure there was a reversal spell for this. Lucoa kneeled down near the two dragons and tried to calm them down. She got two consecutive punches in the face instead. While this was happening, Kobayashi could do nothing but stare at the two.
"This is all your fault!"
"How is it my fault?"
"You moved while the spell was being cast. That's why it got messed up!"
"No way! It was Shota! He probably messed up the incantation or something. Shota, change us back already!"
Shota quickly closed his book in disappointment.
"Sorry, but it's not in here."
"What?"
"The reversal spell. It's not in here."
"So we're stuck like this forever?"
"Well, not necessarily. There is a book on reversal spells that I could use, but it's at the library right now. It'll take a few days to get my hands on."
"Aw, to hell with it! I'll separate us right NOW!"
Tohru turned her arm into a dragon claw and swiped at Elma. Elma did the same, and the two began clawing at each other, covering the other dragon in huge, painful-looking scratches. Lucoa kneeled down near the two dragons and tried to calm them down. She got two consecutive scratches on her cheeks instead. Kobayashi finally decided to step in.
"Hey, cool it, you two! I don't know what happened either, but tearing each other to shreds isn't going to help the situation. Just calm down and we'll figure this out."
The two dragons slowly put their claws away and lay there on the pentagram, both covered in scratches and bleeding profusely. It was fine, their body would heal up in a moment anyway.
"Koby, I think it'll be a good idea to take these two home for a few days until we get this sorted out."
"Yeah, alright. Ok, you two, get your clothes back on."
The two dragons buttoned on their shirts. They couldn't put on their pants, for obvious reasons, so they just folded them up and Kobayashi carried them. Now for the challenge of getting home. Tohru opened a portal to Kobayashi's front door.
"Ok, we're going to have to crawl."
"..."
"Hrgn… Elma, you're not crawling."
"Ugh, fine."
"Alright, 1,2,1,2,1-hey, wait!"
"What do you mean wait, just go!"
"I'm trying!"
Tohru's hand slipped, and they both fell on their side. Kobayashi sighed. Some friendship spell this is. They're on even worse terms, and now I gotta deal with them. After they struggled a little more, Kobayashi gave up. She held them by their waist and picked them up like a huge bag of rice. She carried them through the portal and inside her apartment. Tohru closed the portal behind them.
"Thanks for that."
"Don't mention it. Kanna, We're home! Don't freak out, but something weird happened."
Kanna hopped down from her seat and came to see them, and was shocked to see what had happened. Tohru and Elma were joined at the waist, CatDog style. Kanna stared blankly.
"..."
"Yeah, the spell went wrong, and this happened. Don't worry, they'll be back to normal in a few days."
"..."
"Ok, I'm going to give them a bath, and then I'm going to heat up the omurice in the fridge."
"Hey! I'm not that dirty!"
"You're literally dripping with blood. I think we all need a bath at this point. Let's go"
"...That's so wicked."
Kobayashi started the bath, and then began undressing the two. Their clothes were all soaked and bloody from the, well, blood.
"Oh, Miss Kobayashi, y-you're so-"
"Shut up already."
She dropped them in, gave them some soap and towels for later, and left the bathroom, leaving the two dragons in their shame.
"Figure it out. I'm going to heat up dinner."
Meanwhile, Shota and Lucoa were cleaning up his bedroom. Shota was picking up the dropped papers, and Lucoa was fixing the burnt walls.
"I just knew I had it that time. Why didn't it work properly? Was it the dialect? Did I use the wrong dialect or something? I might need to check my notes again…"
"Oh, don't worry, Shota-baby. I'm sure it wasn't your fault."
"Yeah, maybe it was because Elma interrupted or something. I guess we'll never know."
"So, why is it gonna take a few days to get your book back?"
"I checked with the library this morning, but they said someone else had it, and it wouldn't be back for a few days. I thought I would be okay without it, and I felt like I had the spell down. I guess not. Oh, this really is my fault, isn't it?"
"There, there, Shota-baby. It'll be alright. We can fix this. I believe in you."
"Thanks, Lucoa. Now get off me, please."
