Traveling in her private jet. Was a luxury Brooke didn't take for granted. She needed the quiet to gather her around everyone from her old life again. Knowing Lucas would be there. She had to prepare herself. The 18 year old she was that was desperate for a fresh start. And to get away from everything she had ever known. Grew up to become a verison of herself that they wouldn't recognize. Half the time she didn't even know who the real her was. When she stopped putting on a show for a camera and who she was without anyone watching and critizing was different. If anything she had become more guarded.
As the days passed by she had this lingering fear that she was turning into her mother.
When the pilot announced they had landed in Tree Hill. Brooke finished her second glass of alcohol and put on her sunglasses. Taking a deep breath. As she got up from her seat and made her way off the plane.

Lucas kept his gaze to the ground as he made his way through the endless people and lingering the airport. He hated being in such public places even though it was apart of his job. He was in no mood for pictures or signing loved his fanbase. They were the reason he gained the success and status he had but when it came down to it. He felt his most comfortable blending in.
When he was able to get back into into his car. And drive away he felt relief. Eventually seeing the Welcome To Tree Hill sign. Filled him with a sense of calm and peace. Lucas drove through the familiar streets of his hometown. As memories flooded him.
Seeing the for sale sign gone from his childhood home made his heart sink. The memories made in that house belonged to only him now. Keith. His mom. All gone. The only real family left he had to come back here for besides his friends was Nathan and Haley.
He was grateful for that at least. The end of his high school years were met with alot of darkness that. Lucas did his best to run from. It was too painful to do anything else.
Lucas drove to the closest hotel in the area he could find. He sighed deeply. Seeing Brooke's car already parked there.
Meaning he would see her alot sooner then he was prepared for.

Awhile Later
Tric
Since the birthday party wasn't until tommorow. Brooke figured there was no reason to hide out for the rest of the night. She showered and changed into a back lace up shoulder mini dress. It was a dark green with grey heels. With light make up on her face. She looked good and she knew it. Eyes had on her since she walked in.
Brooke ordered a long island iced tea. Sipping it slowly. As she danced amongst the crowd of faces.
Lucas was surprised at how much he was enjoying himself. The fact that he had just finished his second beer was besides the point.
When Rachel reached out to him. After finding out he was in town. He had expected it was simply for a drink or to get dinner. But then she invited him here.
She was off somewhere. The two friends had lost track of each other.
Feeling this intense gaze on him. Lucas turned around. And locked eyes on Brooke.
His eyes practically bugging out of his head.
Broke swallowed hard. As he took her hand pulling him close to her.
Brooke felt her senses on high alert. As their bodies together to the music.
There was so much to be said. But in this moment. Neither of them could speak. They decided to just be. Moving to the music. No separation between them.
He felt her skin grow hot. As their eyes darkened with pure want desire and longing.
"Let's get out of here." Lucas whispered in her ear.
Brooke simply shook her head.
