Chapter 2: A Dressing Memories Part 2

Twilight turns to the others and asks, "Is there somepony else here?"

Rarity quickly says, "No! I mean, yes. Well, not exactly. You see, I asked that delightful family of raccoons from my shop in Manehattan to help out."

She forced laughter and calls out, ""Smoky! Softpad! Careful with the… expensive fabrics!" as she grits her teeth.

She clears her throat and says, "Yes, well, where were we? Uh…"

She then gasps and says, "Ah, yes. It's so nice to have a chance to reminisce. Everypony's so busy with the coronation. Still can't believe it's happening."

She laughs and says, "You really are an inspiration to ponies everywhere.""

"I suppose so. But honestly, you've always been an inspiration to me," Twilight says.

"Me? What ever for?" Rarity says, confused.

"Are you kidding? You basically built a fashion empire from scratch," Twilight says.

Clip 6: My Little Pony S6 Ep. 9 - The Saddle Row Review

After the opening day of Rarity's new boutique has been a success.

Waxton says, "This is the most whimsical and wonderfully fashionable boutique I've ever seen!"

All the ponies clap and cheers.

Soon, Rarity continues to read the newspaper, "In the end, Rarity's grand opening was a smashing success! True, it got off to a rocky start, but somehow this rag-tag group of ne'er-do-wells…"

She turns to her friends, "Oh, heavens, I think he means you."

The continues, "...came together and created the perfect boutique. A vision of Rarity combined with the expertise of her friends! This reporter, for one, is a believer."

Rarity then finishes the paper and puts it down.

She then asks, "Why didn't you tell me there were so many problems?"

"We all figured you had enough on your mind," Twilight says.

"And we didn't want you to think that the opening wasn't perfect," Applejack says.

Rarity giggles and says, "Ne'er-do-wells" or not, I know I can always count on all of you. And nothing could be more perfect than that."

Clip Ends:

Rarity giggles as she blushes, "I appreciate hearing how much I'm appreciated."

"Of course I appreciate you. And I'm definitely not the only one," Twilight says.

Falling Star giggles, "You mean Spike, right?"

"Yep," Twilight says.

Clip 7: My Little Pony S1 Ep. 19 - The Dog and Pony Show

After collecting the gems, Spike can't help, but admire them. He is practically drooling over the gems.

Rarity pats Spike on the head and says, "You've been very patient today, Spike."

She then levitates a big blue gem to Spike,

"And for that, you get the finest reward. This is from me to you," Rarity says.

Spike plans to eat it, but stops and allows the gem to be dropped in his claws. He then turns to Rarity who is smiling.

She asks, "Is something wrong, Spike?"

Spike regains his focus and says, feeling pleased, "No. It's perfect."

Clip 8: My Little Pony S1 Ep. 19 - The Dog and Pony Show

Another memory shows that Spike is using the gem, Rarity has given to him, to attract the Diamond dogs who have kidnapped Rarity. He lowers the gem down with a fishing pole.

"Spike, it is very noble of you…" Twilight says.

But Spike shushes her, "Shhh!"

Then Twilight quietly says, "...to sacrifice the gem Rarity gave you."

"Oh, Lady Rarity. My damsel in distress," Spike says, determined.

Then begins to daydream about him being a grown dressed and dressed like a knight with lance. He calls himself Sir Spike.

"I shall save you," Sir Spike continues.

Then he calls out, "Show yourselves, you dogs! You curs!"

In the caves, the Diamond Dogs appear in the shadow. A few are named Rover, Spot, and Fido.

"Ah. There you are, you mangy mutts," Sir Spike says.

"Who are you calling mutts?" Rover says, feeling insulted.

Then calls out, "Unleash the hounds!" and blows a dog whistle that doesn't make a sound.

Yet, multiple Diamond Dogs dressed in armor come out and charge towards Sir Spike. They continue to charge from different directions as Spike doesn't move a single inch. When the diamond Dogs are close, Spike then lifts his lance and swings at the Diamond Dogs, knocking many of them down. Most of the Diamond dogs attack, but Spike isn't giving them an inch to attack. However, more Diamond Dogs charge to attack, and Spike uses his Dragon Breath to defeat them. Soon, all of them have been defeated, and Sir Spike confronts the remaining three.

Spike then questions, "Now, where is Lady Rarity?"

In fear, the Diamond Dogs point to where Rarity is. Then Sir Spike charges through the cell door of the cell to see Rarity who is dressed in a purple dress, and a hat. She is dressed like a princess.

Lady Rarity gasps in relief, "Spike! I knew you would save me!"

"Nothing could stop me, milady," Sir Spike says.

"Ohohohoh, Spike. You are my... hero," Rarity says, with a smile.

Then has her lips ready to kiss him. Sir Spike does the same and leans to Rarity for the two to kiss.

The real Spike's daydream has been cut short to see that she has almost kissed Applejack.

Applejack says, "Whoa there, lover boy!"

Clip 9: My Little Pony - Best Gift Ever

During the Hearth's Warming Eve celebration, Applejack decides to take her friends and herself to a Hearth Warming Helper. They pick from her hat on who they are going to give and go their separate ways.

Seeing the one he has, Spike hurries to Applejack, and asks, "Um, Applejack, is it against the rules to trade names? Like if I had a better idea for somepony special? I mean specific?"

"If you can figure out who has the pony you want and they're okay with tradin', I guess it's fine," Applejack says.

"Great!" Spike says, excited.

Then asks, "So, uh, who do you—?"

But Applejack calmly says, "I don't have Rarity."

Spike comes to a halt and panics, "What?! That's not who I—!"

"Uh-huh," Applejack replies, seeing Spike's true intention.

Clip 10: My Little Pony - Best Gift Ever

Sometime later, Spike is walking down the trail and notices a familiar face.

He calls out, "Pinkie!"

But Pinkie zips past him and shouts, "I don't have Rarity!"

"Whoa!" Spike yelps and he spins around like a top.

Then falls to the ground.

"Oh!" Rarity voice replies.

Spike looks up to see Rarity as she lets out a chuckle and asks, "How's your shopping going, Spike?"

Spike quickly stands up with blushing cheeks and says, "Uh, fine!"

"Which pony did you get?" Rarity asks, whispering to Spike.

"I can't... remember?" Spike nervously answers.

Then Rarity tells Spike, "I've got Applejack, darling. She's going to adore her present. There's a brilliant designer in Manehattan – Fedora Felt – who makes the most marvelous hats. I asked for a new take on western chic that would be the envy of every farm pony in Equestria."

"That's a great gift, Rarity. I hope I can find something for my pony as special as you are," Spike says with a smile.

But gets embarrassed, "Uh, she is! U-Uh, bye!"

Then runs off.

Clip 11: My Little Pony - Best Gift Ever

Then later on, while Fluttershy is looking at some jewelry at the Jewelry Store, Spike comes over.

He calls out, "Hey, Fluttershy!"

Then looks through the window to see a lovely necklace, "Thinking of getting that for your Hearthswarming Helper?"

"Mm-hmm. She loves shiny things," Fluttershy happily answers.

Then Spike begins to overreact, "I wish I knew what my secret pony wanted. She's so hard to shop for."

"Oh, no. Maybe I could help. Unless you don't want to—" Fluttershy says, feeling concern.

"Rainbow Dash," Spike quickly says, holding his card.

"Oh! I was just talking to Rainbow Dash about these—" Fluttershy says.

But Spike interrupts in excitement, "Great idea! We should trade ponies!"

Then quickly makes the trade, which makes Spike happy.

"Wait. Trade?" Fluttershy says, confused.

"Well, Applejack said it's not against the rules. And you know what Rainbow Dash likes, so it's perfect," Spike says.

He then unfolds the paper to see Rarity's cutie mark.

He gasps and says, "Rarity?! What a surprise!"

He chuckles with happiness and says, "Thanks!"

Then runs off, leaving Fluttershy dumbfounded.

Clip Ends:

"I think it's kind of sweet that you and Spike have gotten along so well," Falling Star says.

"Indeed. Of course, over the years, my relationship with Spike has changed, but it will always be very special," Rarity says.

In the backroom, Spike becomes all lovey dovey to hear Rarity talk about him. Starlight turns to Spike, who quickly closes the book, cut accidentally slams his claw by mistake.

He yelps, "Ow!"

Starlight quickly covers his mouth, catching the girls' attention.

"It sounds like those raccoons need help," Twilight says.

Starlight and Spike feel like panicking in the backroom. If Twilight finds them and not the raccoons, then it will ruin their surprise.
