The chaos, which Kate made by running to her desk, was nothing comparing to what was going on now. Capitan Gates was furious, she didn't understand how her old friend could have shoot her best detective in front of her.

"LT cuff this bastard." She ordered and no one disagreed.

Castle and Kate's team mates fought down IA officers, one of them ended up with a cut on his lip, but they stand down. They still couldn't figure out what happened. Why their boss just shoot one of their own? When Rick, Kevin and Javi ran to stop the bleeding from Kate's side and secure the tape, they just let them.

"It's Capitan Victoria Gates from 12th precinct, we have an officer down at the 4th floor in homicide division. Female in her middle 30's gun shoot wound to the left side. What's the E.T.A. on the bus?" Gates radioed.

"Copy that, E.T.A. is 15 minutes Capitan." Dispatch answered.

"You are going to regret it Victoria. You can't cuff me. Matthews, Boyl, Decker, Miller do something. Hey the tape is now IA's evidence. You can't take it." Capitan Donovan screamed as he was hold in handcuffs by LT and 2 homicide detectives, who were as pissed as Gates that someone shoot their friends without a reason. Yes, detective Beckett escaped, but she only went to her desk to the elephants, to give a proof of her innocence, she wouldn't kill Donovan with some ornament elements. It most definitely was an excessive use of force.

"The tape is our evidence now since you attempted to kill my detective. After what you just did how can I be sure that you aren't on Bracken's pay roll." Gates said to Donovan and continue speaking. "Take him to the cell." She said to LT.

"And you don't try to stop it and uncuff my people, now!" This part Gates addressed to her old people, whom she worked with, before her promotion to 12th precinct. Matthews, Boyl, Decker and Miller still had a respect for this woman, she tought them a lot and they knew she had a good senses. When she told them that Beckett was being framed they believed her, that's why they let Kate run to her desk. They also cuffed their suspects upfront, all of this just to show Capitan Gates, that they trust and respect her. Now when Kate got shoot they fell like they failed Gates. They should have stopped Beckett and when she would be booked, then she could tell someone where the tape is.

"How is she doing?" Boyl asked when he and Decker was taking of the cuffs.

Castle shoot him a furious look.

"Mr. Castle" Gates said and he realised that he have to answer.

"She has a shallow breathing, and she is losing blood very fast. The good thing is that she is still awake." Castle said, while he was keeping preassure on her wound.

"You're going to be OK alright? Remember it's too late to give my tux back." Rick tried to comfort the love of his life. Kate just nodded. He could see a tear on her cheek, it remained him of Montgomery's funeral.

"Kate, Kate stay with me, Kate don't leave me please, stay with me ok, Kate I love you, I love you Kate." He told as he saw that she is about to close her eyes. He repeated the same words, which he said no longer than 2 years ago.

This time was different though, Castle and Beckett were together now, they were Caskett and this time he also got an answer.

"Luv yo too C'sle" Kate was barely able to speak and when she finished her sentence, she closed her eyes.

"Come one detective Beckett hang on in there, we still have 10 minutes until the bus arrives." Gates said.

"Maybe dr. Parrish would be able to help her?"

"I send Karpovski downstairs to get her. They should be here any second. " Espo answered.

Lanie got there pretty fast. She did all she could to help her friend. Fortunately paramedics arrived soon. Kate was all the time drifting in and out of consciousness. Lanie and Rick drove with the paramedics, boys wanted to go after them but Gates stopped them.

"Gentlemen I know that you want to go to the hospital with them. I want to do that too, but we have a mess to clean up. We need to put charges against Donovan, listen to the tape and clean your names."

"Can I at least contact dr. Parrish and tell her to keep us updated?" Espo asked.

"Yes detective, you do that and I will call Mr. Beckett. Detective Ryan can you call Mrs. Rogers?" Gates asked and Kevin nodded in agreement.

After they made their calls, they went to Capitan's office and put the tape into the cassette player.

"Are you ready to hear that?" Gates asked.

"We are ready." They answered.
