At the diner where she worked Alice sat down at a table after finishing her shift. She closed her eyes and after a few minutes felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up, shocked to see her friend Greta in a bloody waitress uniform.
"Greta! How come you didn't cross over with Mark and Dan?"
Greta sat down across from Alice.
"I want you to tell me where Freddy is."
Alice just stared at Greta in shock. Before she could say anything to Greta she was suddenly woken up by Anne Trebor, another waitress at the diner. She immediately drove to her friend Yvonne's to tell her what happened.
"Greta's looking for Freddy."
Yvonne shrugged, confused.
"If she kills him, great!"
Alice took a deep breath.
"You don't understand, he can't be killed. At least as far as I know. Amanda did the next best thing by sealing him up, but if Greta finds out where this dream prison is…"
Yvonne reluctantly nodded.
"What do you need me to do?"
Alice and Yvonne drove over to her house.
I'm going to go into the dream world to stop Greta. I need you to wake me up immediately if it looks like I'm in danger."
Greta stood outside a heavy iron door, listening as Ethalios talked.
"Freddy Krueger has sealed himself behind this door, preventing Alice from reaching him while he gathers his strength. You must tear it down in order to destroy this loathsome creature before he kills more people."
Alice ran into the room to see Greta was tearing pieces off of the door, eager to take her revenge.
"Greta stop!"
Alice pulled her friend away, only to have Greta give Alice a brutal right hook, causing her to fall to the floor. She knelt beside her unconscious friend to see if she was ok.
"Why are you trying to stop me Alice? You saw what he did to me!"
Greta turned to see Ethalios continuing to dismantle the door.
"Revenge can wait. My friend needs help."
Ethalios looked at Greta, giving her a sarcastic smile.
"My dear child…I lied to you."
The appearance of the angel began to change into a skeletal woman covered in maggots. Ethalios finished dismantling the door and greeted Freddy.
"Try not to fail me again. Now step forward and claim your freedom."
As Ethalios vanished to go in search of other people to corrupt, The Springwood slasher stepped through the doorway and smiled when he saw Alice unconscious on the floor. He then smiled at Greta, stretching out his arms.
"Sweetcheeks, come give me a big hug!"
Fuelled by rage at the sight of her murderer Greta charged at Freddy like a bat out of hell. He merely laughed, stepping aside to dodge her attack, then slashed her across the back.
"You look hungry Greta. Maybe you should eat something."
Freddy laughed as he waved a familiar looking doll at her.
"Eat this!"
Turning around as fast as she could Greta gave Krueger a roundhouse kick to the left side of his face followed by a sharp knee to the groin forcing him to drop the doll. Caught up in pain Freddy was unable to defend himself as Greta tackled him to the floor. She pinned him to the floor and began delivering a barrage of punches to his face.
"You took everything from me… my hope, my dreams, my fucking future! Everything! How does it feel to be the one who's helpless Freddy?"
Freddy quickly raised his hand, causing Greta to gasp in pain as he stabbed her in the stomach. He shoved Greta off of him and got up to his feet, grinning at his victim's pain.
"Seeing you like this is a real…kick!"
Freddy kicked Greta's chin, sending her sliding across the room.
"One bitch down, one to go!"
Freddy turned his attention to Alice who was finally coming to after being knocked aside by Greta. He pinned her to the wall ready to kill his archenemy.
"Payback time Alice!"
Freddy reeled back his gloved hand and took aim at Alice's stomach.
"Once I've finished with you I'll have to pay Jacob a visit."
Before he could stab Alice, Greta materialized behind Freddy. Grabbing his gloved hand, she twisted his arm behind him, embedding the claws in his back.
"You're not done with me asshole! You really think that was enough to stop me in case you forgot I'm dead!"
Greta kicked him in the back of the knee, then threw Freddy as hard as she could sending him far from Alice & close by the door he escaped from. Jumping back to his feet he stared at Greta with rage as she dashed after him. Trading blows both Greta & Freddy began beating on each other delivering sharp left & right hooks to the face.
"That's it I'm done fucking around!"
Taking Greta by the throat Freddy's jaw began to extend with the intent to swallow her whole.
"I'm gonna eat you up!"
Seeing her friend in trouble Alice sprung into action, calling for Amanda to help.
"No I won't let him take her again…Amanda quick open the door now!"
Suddenly the door flew open catching Freddy by surprise who turned around in fear dropping Greta to the floor as the hands of his fathers reach out to drag back into the room but were just out of reach.
"4th down Freddy time to punt!"
Before he could react to the attack Alice dashed at him kicking him as hard as she could in the back, sending him stumbling into the hand of his psycho father who began pulling him back into the room.
"NOOOOOOO!"
Freddy screamed as he was dragged in…with the door slamming behind him. Greta rose to her feet running to the door to finish what she started but was held back by Alice.
"No let me go he has to pay! Wait what's happening, where are we going?"
Alice held tightly onto her friend as they both started to disappear.
"This ends now Greta we're leaving!"
Yvonne was surprised to see Greta materialize beside Alice, just as she was waking up from her dream.
"Alice how…how did you do that?!"
Alice immediately turned to Yvonne.
"Greta was stuck in the dream world. When I absorbed my friend Kristin's memories three years ago, I learned that a woman named Nancy Thompson told her how to pull Freddy Krueger out of the dream world."
Alice turned back to Greta.
"I wasn't able to save you before, but I've brought you out of the dream world, making you solid. You can go anywhere, do anything you want. You now have a second chance to live your life. Please don't be consumed by revenge."
Greta got off the bed and moved to look at herself in the nearby mirror on Alice's dresser. She then looked down at the scar across her belly.
"If I'm officially and legally dead I can do anything right?"
Alice and Yvonne walked over to their friend. Yvonne was the first to say something.
"You might not be able to be a model again, but it seemed you were always stressed out when you were doing that."
Yvonne jumped slightly when Greta moved to hug her, then hugged her back.
200 years later
Greta approached Alice's gravestone and knelt down in front of it.
"Hi Alice."
She went silent for a few minutes, thinking of what to say.
"My new clothing line is doing well. I've been keeping watch over both your and Yvonne's descendants just like I promised. In fact I might have found a way to destroy Freddy. Wraiths are tied to a personal possession. If I can find his glove in the physical world and destroy it, I can destroy him as well."
Greta paused, deep in thought.
"If you're listening tell Mark I miss him."
Greta sat silently at her friend's gravestone, watching the sunset.
