Forest in the Dragon Kingdom….
Momonga POV:
After my declaration, the three of us step out of the tent in Brosphis, and I decide to teleport the three of us to the forest where me and Pandora arrived. However, I'm not just going to fly straight to the capital, there are precautions that must be taken. I'm not looking to be sniped out of the sky.
I've also noticed since I arrived in Brosphis, someone's been trying to get past my scrying barrier. Although, I'm going to hold off on activating the defensive part of the barrier until I find who's trying to watch me. After all, it might not be a player, but a native of this world watching the war. I really don't wanna mess up and kill the Queen before I even meet her.
After casting the appropriate countermeasures to ensure we'll get to the city safely, I cast 'mass fly' on our group, and lift up off the ground. There's absolutely no way we can get one shot by Yggdrasil players now.
We ascend off the ground and above the trees, and begin moving towards the capital, earning an 'ooh' and 'ahh' from Hartwin.
"I do envy you Sir Momonga, to be able to travel in such ways every day… This feels truly liberating."
I stay silent.
The trip to the capital was uneventful, and so I enjoyed the nature that I was never able to see in my original world. Though it's a cloudy, rainy day, it's not the same as earth. It's not polluted or tainted by mega-corporations. It would be better if my friends were transported too, but they weren't logged on. However, I can't give up hope yet. Maybe there was a criteria that they met, that allowed them to be transported here. I'll have to do further research.
We close in on the city gates, and I dispel 'perfect unknowable' and 'mass fly'. We then join the noticeably small line of people going into the city. After a few minutes, we reach the booth. The guard speaks,
"Reason for entering the… city…..?"
He's quite surprised at how we look, seeing as I'm wearing my god-tier items, as well as the mask of envy. You also don't see people like Pandora every day.
"We are adventurers, here to see her Majesty."
The guards eyes widen at my words, and he looks a tiny bit happier.
"You are clear to enter the city then!"
"Thank you."
After resuming our pace, we pass through the open wrought iron gates, and see the capital city for the first time. It's quite underwhelming. Trash litters the streets, and the house's doors are kicked in, with some of the roofs even caved down. The few vendors that dot the streets selling meat or vegetables look very poor, and have very little produce.
After a couple minutes of walking, we are approached by three children. Two are boys, and one is a girl.
"Hey misters, can you spare any coin?"
They look surprisingly happy for times like this, it's good to see the innocence of children is intact in this world.
Hartwin takes out a few silver coins and tosses them to the children, and they say thank you and run off.
"Before the beastmen, this was a happy country. A thriving, luscious country. It's degrading to see my motherland reduced to this state."
"Umu, I can share your sadness Hartwin. My country was similar to this, but a hundred times worse. It was not destroyed by external forces, but rotted from the inside. A true hell on earth."
"My condolences, Sir Momonga."
"Momonga, you never told me much about your homeland! I wanna hear about it sometime!"
"Perhaps I will, Pandora. But at a later date."
We approach a cleaner part of town, not by a lot, but it is cleaner. I recognize this part as the city square, as it couldn't be much else. In the middle of the square lies a dying tree, with dead pink leaves around it. Leading away from the trees right, is the church. The church has its doors open, and I can see people praying inside. Inside the church are 6 gemstones on 6 crystal pillars, each colored red, green, blue, brown, white, and black. Interesting.
On the left of the tree is the graveyard, which has multiple families and people crying above a grave. There's also 3 funerals going on, in which 3 priests are attending. It looks like the graveyard has recently been expanded, as some of the gates have been torn down, and had graves fill the space. This country truly is on the verge of collapse.
"It looks like we have our work cut out for us, Pandora."
"Will we be saving this country?"
Hartwins eyes widen at Pandora's casual mention of that.
"Most likely. It depends on this new magic I've heard about. It serves greater benefit to save them instead of the beastmen."
"I agree with you on that friend. I'll follow whatever you decide to do though!"
"Wait a minute you two. You can truly save the country?"
Me and Pandora look at each other, as if that was an obvious fact.
"But of course. I am the strongest magic caster, and he is the strongest paladin. What can't we do?"
Hartwins mouth lays open at that, and he says no more.
The palace grows larger as we approach, and we enter the higher class part of the city. There's the Adventurers guild, the 'Brightness' inn, which is the best inn in the city, and the town hall. Each hasn't seen a lot of foot traffic in recent days.
Well, this is all a let down. Let's hope the palace is better.
We approach the palace gates, and the two guards on duty raise their shields and point their pikes at us.
"State your business, o-outsiders."
I see that they aren't that confident when saying that, as their voice trembles. Their pike also shivers a tad at the tip. It's likely, just like the army, these people are fresh conscripts too.
"We are adventurers, and he is our guide. We were invited by her Majesty herself to join her for a meeting."
I hold up the emblem me and Pandora were given, and the guards exchange worried looks and drop their shields.
"F-forgive us! We did not mean to raise our weapons to one of such status! Please, step through!"
They pull open the large black gates, and we step through. There's a large field beyond the gates, and in the field are dead flower beds, white gazebos in various states of deterioration, fountains with no water, and dried up ponds. It seems the palace isn't better than the city.
We continue walking on the mossy road, until we reach the palace wall. The second gate that normally shuts it off from the outside is open, and the booth to check people in is unattended. Inside these walls is a much smaller field, and in the field is a man. The man is dressed in a white tank top, with tan cargo pants, and is barefoot. He's got blonde hair, and blue eyes. His lips are unnaturally fat too. He's hitting a wooden training dummy with a metal sword, and upon our arrival he stops. He looks at us, puts his sword in a box filled with other various weapons, and starts running over to us.
"Heyyyy! How are you guys!"
I didn't realize we were so close for him to address us like this.
He reaches us, then stops, panting.
"You guys… are the ones who… repelled that… new beastmen…. Invasion right?"
"Erm… Yes, we are. Who are you?" I ask.
"I'm Cerabrate! The top adamantine adventurer in the Dragon Kingdom! Pleasure to meet you!"
He holds out his hand, and I take it in mine.
"Woah! You got a strong grip there! So… if you don't mind me asking… Where is that, 'Paladin of Silver'? I've heard quite a bit about him!"
Before I can even respond, Pandora steps forward.
"That would be me, monsieur."
"But… you're tan?"
"Indeed, but I can transform into the paladin of silver you heard of."
"Is that so! Then, transform! Let's fight."
Huh? That's it? No introduction's?
"Huh? Why?" Pandora looks stupefied.
"Because, quite honestly, I don't like the way you guys are getting special treatment from… her Majesty." He says this with a bit of… longing? Loathing? What is that emotion?
"Unfortunately good sir, we do not have the time to fight right now. We must go meet the Queen, actually."
"I know. I heard all about it. And I don't like it. I should be the only one at Draudillion-chans side!"
Draudillion-chan? Perhaps he and the Queen share a 'special' relationship? Interrupting my thoughts, Hartwin tugs at the cuff of my sleeve, as to pull me aside.
"Sir Momonga… er… Cerabrate is… a 'special' character. He's commonly disliked by the country, and also disliked by the Queen. However… his strength is needed to repel the demihumans invasions. That's the only reason he hasn't been chased out yet."
"Why is he so disliked?"
"Well… the Queen takes on a youthful form, and he took a… liking to her."
Ah. He's a pedophile. But, unlike Peroronchino-san, I think he's the type of person to act on his urges.
"As long as the Queen stays in her child-like form, he proclaimed that he'll continue to protect the country until he dies."
At least he has some honor. Can that even be called honor?
I walk back over to the bickering Pandora and Cerabrate, and put a hand on Pandora's shoulder.
"Pandora. I don't think we should associate with… people like him. It might give us a bad reputation."
I'm saying this to partly anger him, and to bail us out of this conversation. If he does take a swing at us, then that'll give us the right to knock him out.
"Oh? And what does that mean, magic caster?"
What an idiot.
"It means, this conversation is over. We are going to go see the Queen, and you won't be stopping us. Besides, I don't exactly like people like you."
Peroronchino-san… was an exception however.
And with that, the three of us turn around, and continue our stroll towards the palace doors.
"Wait! If you're going to see Draudillion-chan, then I'm coming with you! You all can't be trusted!"
What the hell is this guy's problem!
"I do believe if Her Majesty wanted you to attend, she would've called for you, no?"
Thank you, Hartwin!
"Shut it old man, this talk isn't one you have a say in."
"Actually, I agree with him. If she wanted you then she would've asked."
"Don't worry about it. I know her better than you three, she won't mind."
I look to Hartwin, and he simply shrugs his shoulders while shaking his head.
"If you say so…" I say. Although, I really don't want him to come along.
A smug and lecherous smile replaces the angry and offended look he had earlier, and he steps in front of us, as to lead the way.
"Come then, I shall escort you to Her Majesty's meeting room."
After a few minutes of walking, and a lot of dirty looks from servants, we arrive at a normal looking set of wooden double doors. Beside the doors are two guards wearing plate armor, with kite shields in one hand, and short swords in the other. On the faulds and shields they wore was the flag of the Dragon Kingdom. They looked like the very picture of a knight.
"Hello Chase and Henry! How are you today?"
They growl at Cerabrates addressment of them, and step aside to open the doors for us.
When we walk through the doors, I'm greeted by an unusually large room for the size of the doors. The back of the room has 4 church-like stained glass windows, with the design on these windows being various types of dragons. The walls have the flag of the Dragon Kingdom hanging from it, and the ceiling has 3 beautiful chandeliers hanging down.
Stretching the length of the room is a large table with a humongous map on it. It seems to be an in-detail map of the Dragon Kingdom, with every hill, trade route, city and mountain charted on
it. Surrounding this table, are more tables, but raised up by a few steps, and have chairs surrounding them. At the back is the largest chair in the room, made out of wood and gold. Sat on the chair is a small girl with waist length black hair, who looks no older than 9. There's only one other person in the room, a thin, cold looking man, who glares at the four of us as we walk in. He wears a baggy, purple, royal looking minister outfit. He's also the first one to speak.
"Cerabrate, why have you come? The only ones who were to be present at this meeting were the the two adventurers."
"Well… these two can't be trusted! They look shady! Draudillion-chan needs protection!"
When Draudillion's name has the honorific '-chan' added to it, a vein seems to pop on her head, and her eye twitches.
"You think Her Majesty made a mistake? This meeting could decide the fate of the country, and I will not stand by and let you muck it up! Leave. Now!"
At this, Cerabrates mouth opens and closes like a fish, and he decides not to say anymore. He turns around whilst muttering, and stomps out of the room. Hartwin follows him, but not before bowing before Draudillion and whispering 'good luck' to me.
The door slams shut behind us, giving the signal to start the conversation. Me and Pandora step forward, and get down on one knee with our hand over our chest, much like I've seen in Yggdrasil.
"Now then," she starts, "I would like to drop formalities. You can rise."
We obey, and raise our heads at her. Replacing the cute, loveable, child face she once had, was one of despair and exhaustion. She had bags under her eyes, her cheeks were a little sunken, and she seemed rather thin. Thinner than children should normally be, at least. She looks similar to those I saw on the streets in my world. Except with more expensive clothing. Speaking of clothing, she wore a skintight, black leather outfit, which showed off her pale hips. It had no shoulders, and she wore a black scale cape that went past her feet.
"Allow me to be frank. Although you don't need me to tell you this, as I'm sure you all saw it on your way up here, my nation is being destroyed. In the past, we survived off the Slane Theocracies 'Sunlight Scripture, which is basically the Theocracies go to unit when dealing with demihumans and the like. However, this year, they are preoccupied with something, so they cannot send them over. The Empire has refused our calls for aid, as has the Kingdom. The beastmen took advantage of this to invade us and push through our few remaining cities. I was told that just the two of you repelled a 40,000 strong beastmen army, by yourselves, and in under 20 minutes?"
"Indeed. That was us two."
"Well then. I've got quite a few questions for the both of you. Shall we go somewhere else, or is this acceptable for you?"
"This place is fine."
"Good. Well then, first allow me to sate my own curiosity. What race is Pandora? I've never seen anyone quite like him."
"I am what is called a doppëlganger, mademoiselle."
"Is that so… Well then, next question. You say you're adventurers, but that's quite hard to believe. Your clothes are way too rich to be adventuring gear. They also don't look very practical."
"My clothes boost my magic casting abilities a hundred fold in every way, and Pandora… well he just likes wearing those types of clothes."
I can't tell her that I think those types of clothes are cool! That would be way too embarrassing. However… I don't think she would really care.
"In fact, how did you acquire such rich clothes? My dragon senses aren't the most honed as others, but those are made of material I've never seen."
"Erm…"
Dragon senses? Is she a dragonoid? If so, her value just went up.
"I can't exactly answer that."
"Is that so? No matter… Next. Are you interested in residing in my country? If so, I'd like you to help repel the beastmen invasion."
"That depends."
"On what?"
At this, she leans forward, getting more into the conversation.
"I've heard of a new type of magic I can learn about here, as well as special types of weapons. I'm also quite new to these lands, so I need information. Any type of information."
"I'd guess what you're talking about is wild magic? If so, you most definitely came to the right place. Although, I don't know what you could do with it."
"What do you mean?"
"It's only usable by dragons. And their descendants. Anyone who descends from a dragon lord can use wild magic, but not at the same level that the dragon lord's do."
Dragon specific magic? This definitely wasn't in Yggdrasil.
"I would like to hear more about this."
"Whilst I am eternally grateful for your contribution to this country, I can't just give away such information."
Of course not, that's business 101. Ah, but I offer greater rewards than she does. I can free her country, and she can only offer me information about magic I can't use. I most definitely have the upper hand here.
"Erm, mademoiselle, you called yourself a dragon earlier. Would you care to elaborate?"
Good question Pandora!
"I am the Black Scale dragon lord, although I'm only half dragon. So, I require souls to cast wild magic, unlike the true dragon lords."
"Draudillion-sama!"
"Oh hush it. They want the damn information, and we need them!"
"But they aren't guaranteed to be on our side! What will happen if they reveal our trump card!"
"If we use our trump card, the kingdom has already fallen. Don't worry about it."
The person besides her grumbles, and has an angry look on his face.
"Perhaps we skipped over him in introductions, but who is he?" I ask.
"I am Winston Miltone, Prime Minister of the Dragon Kingdom and advisor to her Majesty."
"Umu. So, Draudillion-sama? You need souls to cast right?"
"Yes… why?"
"How many?"
"I can cast some barrier spells with the amounts I've saved from the war, but to use offensive magic, I'd need around… 100,000 more."
"How do you absorb the souls?"
"Just by being in the Kingdom. Anyone who dies in the Dragon Kingdom will have their soul absorbed by me."
"Good to know… There's a lot more I wish to talk about, so let's go somewhere else. Someplace we can all sit down? Negotiations might take a while."
"N-negotiations!? So soon!?"
"Of course. Even if I can't cast it, I'm still a magic caster. I'd like very much to learn about this. I'd also like to learn what a 'dragon lord' is, as well as the geography of this land."
"Wait wait wait wait. I can't just hand out all this information!"
"Is that so? Well then, Winston, come down here and point out the largest settlement of demihumans."
Him and Draudillion look at each other, and he wobbles down the steps to the large table. After looking around a little bit, he points to an artificial 'camp' marker around 6km from the capital.
"Pandora, go wipe them all out. Leave 20 alive. You can only use Touch Me-sans form."
"U-Got it, Momonga!"
He clicks his heels, turns around, and walks out.
"Huh?" Draudillion looks confused.
"Pandora is going to kill all those beastmen. Is that sufficient payment for the information?"
Her mouth hangs open, and the Prime Minister speaks.
"Wait a minute! What the hell are you talking about!"
"Hm? We killed forty thousand beastmen at Brosphis, this can't be a big step up can it?"
"Yes! Yes it most definitely is! That's 400,000 beastmen! They drew their forces there in order to prepare for a massive invasion of the capital when Brosphis fell!"
"Oh-hoh? That changes nothing. He can take care of it."
"Wait a minute Momonga-san. There are rules and regulations to war. Also, if there is such a battle going on, I'd like to be there. Call Pandora back."
"Draudillion-sama!? Why are you so calm about this! And there's no way you're going out there! What happens if you die!?"
"Despite only being half of one, I am still a dragon lord. I have pride, and will not sit back and let them fight without being able to see it."
"Why are you just now choosing to act on this pride!? What happened to that 'pride' when you were entertaining Cerabrate, or when I had to carry you back to your room whence you inevitably got drunk!?"
"Erm…That was then, this is now."
I leave them to their conversation, and message Pandora.
'Pandora.'
'Yes, MO-MON-GA-SA-MA!'
Uwah…
'Come back to the capital. I'm calling off the attack.'
'Understood. May I ask why though?'
'Draudillion would like to see them die. So I'm thinking, it would be better if I killed them.'
'Ah… I might feel a bit of pity for them then.'
'Umu, I might as well. But, war is war.'
'Yes, of course. ICH SOLLTE RETURN SOON, NNNNNNNNMOMONGA-SAMA!'
And then the 'message' ends. I don't know how I feel about him using german.
I turn back to look at Draudillion, and she's now standing up, with a refreshed look on her face.
"Momonga."
"Yes, Draudillion-sama?"
"Can you save my country, and eradicate the beastmen?"
"That's quite the tall task. What gives you the idea I can?"
"I've lived a long life. I've seen the truly powerful, and those who rave about being strong. I was raised by the most powerful being in the world, and I have a good eye for strength. I believe you can save my country, but the problem is, do you want to? I've got shortages in every area. The economy is shot, we lack manpower and the men to create it, the cities, towns, and villages are destroyed, and I've lost quite a lot in this wretched invasion. The only things I can offer you is a burnt out dragonic queen, information on wild magic, and my body. But, perhaps you've heard of making an investment? I'm not an idiotic ruler, and with you and your friends power, we could achieve great things. Will you join me, Momonga?"
There's really only one advantage, which is the wild magic. She's not the best business woman is she? However, I love quests like this. Perhaps I'll see how far we can go, and if I'm presented with a better deal, I'm sure I can figure something out. Ah what the hell, I'll accept.
I take my mask and gauntlets off, and her eyes widen, but her lips turn into a faint smile. The prime ministers face stiffens, and steps back a few paces.
I bow down, and answer her question.
"I have no need for your body, so don't worry about things like that. I shall join you, Draudillion."
At this, she lets out a large sigh, and sinks back into her chair.
"Winston… tell the maids to bring my reserve to the first dining hall. Also, have them open up new rooms for my newly acquired court magician and his paladin friend."
"E-erm… Understood..."
He quickly runs past me, and out the door.
After he leaves, I believe I hear a few tears hit the floor. Draudillions head is faced down, and her bangs cover her eyes.
"Finally… FINALLY!"
She raises her head to the ceiling, and I can clearly see she's crying. She really was on her last leg…
"After all this time… after all this bloodshed… This damnable war will end!"
Her tears turn into sobs, and she starts trying to wipe away her tears, to no avail.
"T-thank you! Thank you… M-momonga!"
This continues for a few minutes, until she finally calms down to the point of sniffling. I walk up to her and hand her a handkerchief I made with magic.
She uses it to wipe her dirty face, and then slaps her cheeks after handing it back to me.
"Now then. Excuse my behavior earlier, but it's been a rough ride. I'll call a meeting with my advisors later, and we'll see what to do about the plan for the demihumans. But for now, we celebrate! Would you mind accompanying me to the dining hall, Momonga?"
"Um… sure."
She's quite resilient.
"Now then," she says while standing up, "I don't think I'll need this anymore."
She shuts her eyes, and starts to concentrate. After a few seconds, she starts to get taller. Her hair begins to grow, and her cleavage expands. Her waist gets larger, and her arms grow a considerable amount. Her face no longer has the childlike charm that it once had, and is replaced by the hardened look of a ruler. Her outfit also grew with her, and she's now barefoot.
"Ah~ it's so nice to have these back!" She pokes at her boobs. "Hello girls! And… yep, it's there!" She moves her cape to look at her butt, and slaps it. It feels incredibly perverted to look at this display.
"Y'see Momonga, Winston told me to use that insufferable form to earn the loyalty of Cerabrate, since his strength was needed to repel the demihumans. I was worried, one day, I might've had to… respond to his urges."
Ah…. How sad.
"Don't look at me like that! I didn't want it! In fact, the second thing I can't wait to do is to kick him out of my precious kingdom! I don't care if he's adamantine, he's annoying! Also, some of my advisors will leave now… ah well, nothing can be done!"
"Y'know Draudillion-sama, me and Pandora can take their places. I'm quite good at war, and… Pandora might be an… acquired taste. But he's still quite smart."
I programmed Pandora to be smarter than average, so that probably came to life too. I wonder how Draudillion will react to the real him though…
"He can? But he seemed level headed."
"I assure you, it's an act."
"Is that so? Well then, let's go! Towards the dining hall!"
She struts towards the doors, and I put on my mask and gauntlets.
Dining hall, Dragon Kingdom Palace...
It's currently night-time, and the dining hall is bathed in warm light lit by the many chandeliers and candles hanging above the table. This dining hall has 4 windows, similar to the meeting room. The constant pitter-patter of the rain outside is a nice sound that I look forward to enjoying more.
"Ahh… I don't envy you Momonga. I couldn't imagine not being able to drink."
Draudillion is currently gulping down lots and lots of beer, while Winston and Pandora are sipping their drinks, having their own conversation, leaving me and Draudillion alone.
"The food I had during my time as a living being was… not that good."
"So, why don't you have this 'hatred of the living' every other undead has?"
"No clue. Maybe because I retained my human memories?"
"You were human huh? I'm quite interested in your *burp* story. But we'll talk about that at a later date. You've got more questions, so ask away."
She pours more beer. Quite honestly, she's hard to dislike.
"Umu. There's a lot to ask, but first I'll ask the important question. Who could be using scrying magic to be watching us right now? My scrying defenses are going off. They have been since I arrived at Brosphis."
"*Urp* Oh… so they can't *burp* send troops over, but they can watch my damn people die? That would be the Slane Theocracy. The Empire has no interest in me, so the only one left with the *burp* magical talent to do so is the Theocracy…"
"The Theocracy? Tell me more."
"There's *hiccup, not much to tell. Their country was founded by the 6 Great Gods. They hate demihumans because they were called 'unholy' by the gods, and they also hate undead. They're the most powerful military force on the continent, and they like to hoard special and strong people for their own uses. They're at war with the elves… and I don't know much else. However, did you say 'defenses'? As in they can't see you?"
"Mhm."
"Ah great. *Burp* Yet another visit from those religious kooks. You can bet your ass they'll be coming to see what the hell is *hic* blocking them."
"Is that so?"
"You won't… join them? Right Momonga?"
She leans into my arm, pressing her cleavage against my bones. I bet if I still had my living body, there would be another bone added to the mix. But, there are perks to an undead body. My mouth opens, and then a green light envelops me. My mind clears, and my emotions are put into check.
"N-no. I won't. I'm an undead. They wouldn't want me anyway."
"I doubt that. They wouldn't care, since you're super… strong. They claim to hate people like you, but in the end all they want is power. There are no lines they won't cross to get stronger. But, you have to be stronger than them for you to be able to join."
She takes another large swig from her mug.
"Draudillion…Why don't you care that I'm an undead?"
"Because… if you wanted to kill me… you woulda let the demihumans finish their attack. Also, jus like the Theocracy… I need to get stronger. I'm glad to say I'm not *hic* regretting my decision…"
That's nice to know.
"Now! Enough questions! Let's drink!"
I'll entertain her for the rest of the night.
Draudillions Room...
After she passed out from drinking too much, I carried Draudillion back to her room.
"Urrgh…. Mmonaaa…"
I lay her down carefully and step out of the room, letting the maids come in and change her. In the hallway waits Pandora.
"Sasuga~ Mmmmmomonga-sama! On the first day of arriving in this new world, you've gained the Queen's complete trust."
"Let's start walking."
"Of course, Momonga-sama."
Me and Pandora start walking down the long twisting hallways of this palace, until we arrive at the doors to my room. Opening the door, I find a bed with newly changed sheets. Against the walls are old, wooden, bookshelves, and an old, wooden desk. The air is stale, and it's likely this room hasn't been used in quite a while. There are no lights, but that doesn't matter. I can see just fine. But still…
"Mage light."
A second tier spell that creates a hovering ball of light, and stays there forever.
I sit down on the bed, and motion for Pandora to sit across from me.
"So Pandora, fill me in on the world items."
"I've made a base in the mountains as instructed, and set up traps and guards to the best of my abilities. I've also set up 3 other false bases that look identical to the true one."
"Umu. Good. I shall head over there after this conversation and add undead and demons."
"Momonga-sama, will you be putting your world item in there as well?"
He's talking about my orb. And, no I don't think I will. There might be other world items in this world as well… speaking of which.
"Pandora, you may take Depiction of Nature and Society out of the vault. It is to never leave your person."
"Understood, Momonga-sama."
If we were summoned here, it's possible that there were others before us. I don't want Pandora falling prey to a world item.
"Now then, pretaining what I learned from Draudillion. The Re-Estize Kingdom and Empire are not on good terms with the Dragon Kingdom. So be wary when dealing with people from there. On a more important note, it seems the Slane Theocracy will be coming to investigate my scrying defenses, as they believe themselves to be the strongest on the continent. She also told me that the greatest magic caster can barely even cast up to the 5th tier. However, we should not let our guard down. This does not mean that there are no players or world items on the continent that haven't revealed themselves yet. Tommorow we will attend a meeting about what we shall do about the demihumans invading, and then we will carry out whatever plan they decide on. More on the Theocracy, they hate undead and demihumans, so beware. I don't know how they'll react to your doppëlganger form. However, she said that they're hypocrites, and don't care what you are as long as youre strong."
"Ah… understood, Momonga-sama. Does this mean we will stay in the country?"
