All of Green Hills. Destroyed. And it was all Sonic and Tails's fault. The ran into the destroyed Green Hills.
"Maybe... the villagers escaped?" Tails said, trembling as he ran.
But they both knew that none of the villagers escaped.
"Maybe... they... aren't dead?"
"I'm so sorry Tails..." Sonic said, trembling as well.
As they were running, they found Princess Sally's house. The roof was destroyed and the walls caved in. They dug up, and found Amy and Sally lying on the ground. Dead. Amy and Sally were dead.
Tears ran down Tails face. Sonic froze. Until a familiar voice came from behind them.
"Save your tears, pests." It was Eggman.
"YOU KILLED THEM!" Tails screamed, now sobbing. He charged at Eggman, without realizing that he was holding a blaster.
"TAILS, WAI-"
KABOOOM!
1 hour later...
The explosion knocked out Sonic. He woke, up and it was now nighttime.
"Tails?" Sonic asked, worried. "Where are you, Tails!?" He yelled.
He looked around. Tails was nowhere to be seen. Eggman was gone, as well.
Sonic sat down on the ground, and cried.
He eventually stood, and ran around looking for any survivors. None. Even Silver and Shadow were dead. Same with Knuckles.
All of his friends. Dead.
And he thought this would be a waste of time.
