HARRY P.O.V

I was looking for a compartment. Ron and Hermione, my friends, were prefects so they were up front. I was searching for a compartment with Ron's sister, Ginny. Ginny and I reached the last Compartment when we met Neville a fellow fifth year in Gryffindor. The last compartment was occupied by two people- a boy and a girl so after Ginny convinced Neville that its fine, we went inside.

"Hi Luna" said Ginny "Is it fine if we sit here?"

She asked the Girl with Blonde hair and pale eyes. Luna nodded yes and then turned to the boy. He was dressed in all black with deep black eyes and black hair. I suddenly realized he was muttering to the sky.

"What about meals dinner mainly?" He asked and much to my surprise the sky rumbled back.

"Don't you think that will be weird?" he questioned, and the sky thundered.

"great" he said.

"Do you have a problem if they sit here" asked Luna and the boy jumped.

"What-no, no problem" he answered.

"thanks" I said and the three of us took a seat.

"So, I haven't seen you around what house are you in?" I asked the boy.

"uh I'm new so I don't have a house yet" He replied.

"New?"

"yeah, I'm a transfer student."

"Right. What's your name?" I was struggling to keep the conversation going. He seemed so closed up and answered in such a closed manner that it was obvious he didn't want to talk.

"Nico, Nico di Angelo. What about you?"

"Luna Lovegood"

"Ginny Weasley"

"Neville Longbottom"

Before I could say or do anything the compartment door slid open and Ron and Hermione entered .

"Hi" they said

"Hi, Luna Nico these are my friends Ron and Hermione guys this Luna from Ravenclaw and Nico a transfer Student."

"A transfer Student?" asked Hermione

"yes" Nico said.

"From which school?"

"Delphi Academy of Magic in America and no it won't be there in any book because my school likes to keep to itself and so I won't be answering any questions about it either" He told us.

I wasn't planning on researching his school, but Hermione might have been, so the information was useful. The trolley witch came and we all got snacks. A while after that the compartment door opened and in came Malfoy.

"what" I asked before he had a chance to talk.

"Manners, Potter or I'll have to give you a detention" Drawled Malfoy. "You see I ,unlike you, have been made a prefect."

"And you unlike me are a git so get out" At which I felt pleasure when everyone in the compartment laughed.

"Who are you?" Malfoy asked Nico.

"Nico di Angelo, transfer student" Nico told him.

"Blood status?"

"what?"

"Pureblood, Halfblood or mudblood?"

"Uh Halfblood"

"Better than mudblood I suppose."

And with that Malfoy left much to my relief. We chatted a bit in the compartment and the door opened yet again but this time entered a dementor.

I immediately raised his wand and said " Expecto Patronum"

It didn't work and suddenly I wasn't there anymore.

"No not harry please."

" Stand aside you silly girl stand aside now."

"No not harry please I'll do anything."

"this is your last warning."

And Harry woke up.

"What Happened."

Everyone was looking at him with concern but thankfully Hermione answered him.

"well, the dementors came the Patronus didn't work, you fainted, Ginny started crying, Neville shrunk to a corner and Ron buried his face in his hands then suddenly Nico stood up and said something I didn't understand and the dementors ran."

"How did you do that mate" asked Ron sounding Grateful ,which even I was.

" I'll explain later just a second" said Nico and he got up and left.
