Chapter 2

Plan To Save Webby

After Webby was kidnapped by Magica, everyone tried to think of a way to save her. While everyone was thinking of a plan, Lena looked down in sadness, feeling guilty as she thought back to when Webby was kidnapped. Lena was in her super sorceress form at the time, so she could have done anything like blast Magica with her magic. Instead, she had done nothing as Magica got away.

"I should have known that Magica would come back for revenge. I just never thought she would go after Webby." Lena heard Scrooge speak.

"I just don't understand how this happened." Beakly said, worried for her granddaughter.

It was at that moment when Lena stood up. "It was my fault, Mrs. Beakly. I could have stopped Magica from taking Webby, but I failed."

"You mustn't blame yourself for what happened, Lena. We are going to get Webby back." Beakly assured.

"No. I'm going to get Webby back. I'm the one who Magica wants! I can't put the rest of you in danger."

Before Lena could open the door to leave the mansion, her friends stopped her at the last second.

"Wait you are not planning to face Magica on your own, are you?" Huey asked.

"What other choice do I have?"

"For one thing, you can take us with you!" Violet pointed out.

At first, Lena opened her beak to protest, only to be interrupted by Scrooge.

"Violet has a point, Lena. I have dealt with Magica for a long time. It would be wise for me to come with you."

It was at this point when Lena was at a loss for words. She didn't want to put her friends in danger, but at the same time, she knew that they already made their decision.

"I guess I don't have a choice." Lena sighed.

"Then it's decided. Mrs. Beakly, watch over the mansion while the rest of us rescue Webby." Scrooge told his housekeeper.

"With all due respect, Mr. McDuck, I'm coming with you. Webby is my granddaughter, and I'm not going to sit here and do nothing while she's in the clutches of that sorceress." Beakly explained.

Suddenly, Duckworth's ghost appeared out of thin air.

"I suggest that you take Beakly with you, Mr. McDuck. I am more than capable of taking care of the mansion while you are gone." Duckworth suggested.

"Very well! This could be one of our most dangerous adventures yet, so we should be prepared for the worst." said Scrooge.

After a few hours of preparation, everyone stood outside the Sunchaser as Launchpad was getting ready to fly the plane. As everyone was getting ready, Lena stood alone in silence until she heard Huey's voice.

"Hey, we'll get her back. I promise!"

Lena soon turned as she gave a grateful smile to her friend.

"Thanks, Huey!"

It wasn't long before everyone got in the plane. Lauchpad was about to take off when Dewey noticed scratches on the wings of the plane.

"Uh, Launchpad? What happened to the Sunchaser?"

"Oh, yeah. The Sunchaser got a little damaged from our last adventure." Launchpad recalled. "Don't worry! I ironed out most of the scratches. The flight to Mount Vesuvius and back to Duckburg should be perfectly safe. At least, I think it would be."

"Well, that's very reassuring." Louie trembled.

With everyone in their seats, Launchpad started the plane and took off in the sky. As she sat silently in her seat, Lena looked at her wrist as she took a glance at her friendship bracelet.

"Hang on, Webby! I'm coming for you." Lena said, determined to save her girlfriend.

Meanwhile at Magica's old lair on Mount Vesuvius, Magica looked through some spell books as she was searching for the perfect spell to destroy her enemies once and for all. It was hard for her to focus as Webby was making too much noise by punching and kicking at the bars of the cage Magica trapped her in. It got harder for Magica to focus until she couldn't take it any more.

With a scream of frustration, Magica stomped over to Webby's cage and glared at her. "Would you cease this infernal racket? You're giving me a headache with your feeble escape attempts"

"First of all, my escape attempts are not feeble. Secondly, Lena would be coming here to save me, and when she does, she's going to kick your butt." Webby warned.

"Yeah, sure. Whatever you say, Webster." Magica yawned, clearly not paying attention.

"My name is Webby!" Webby yelled, annoyed with the sorceress.

"I don't care! You are starting to be a very annoying captive!" Magica yelled.

Unfortunately for Magica, she didn't count on how close she was to the cage, so that gave Webby the opportunity to punch her in the face.

The sorceress then stumbled back in pain before sending a death glare towards Webby.

"You are lucky that I need you in order for Lena to give me her powers! Otherwise, I would have destroyed you this very second!"

Without another word, Magica turned back to her spell books. As Magica was practicing her spells, Webby glanced at her friendship bracelet as she began to feel worried. Deep down, Webby was worried for her girlfriend and hoped that she was safe. She would have done anything to be reunited with Lena.
