A/U: Hi, thank you for reading. And just to clarify, in this story, Rachel didn't confess her love towards Ross as she did in the show. So, he has no idea.
Thank you so much for the reviews. I can't believe 2 of my favorite writers read my story, that is just insane.
Comeajenjen: I read your review, for now, I'll just reread it better, but maybe in later chapters you can proofread them for me! I appreciate the tips, and I'll use your proofread in the following chapters.
Prithvir0809: I really appreciate you thinking with ideas, but for this story, I sort of already have an idea. I am sorry that I can't use your idea.
About the twist, I think you can already see it coming in the later chapters, but it's my story and I can do whatever I want. The twist will be clear around chapter 4.
I'll also try to upload every 10 days; I think that's a reasonable time between every chapter.
Chapter 2 (This chapter has R Rated parts, there'll be a warning before the sexual part.)
"She didn't replace you! No one could ever replace you!" Ross shouted without releasing what he just said.
Silence.
They stared into each other's eyes for, what seems hours, but it was only a few minutes. All of a sudden Rachel took all the courage she had and walked over to him.
Before anyone could say anything, she pressed her lips against his. But after a few seconds, he pulled away, looked into her eyes. They just stared at each other, until Ross pulled her back in the kiss. His tongue asked permission to enter her mouth, by liking her lips. She got the hint and opened her mouth; their tongues explored each other's mouths.
His hands traveled around her waist, pulling her closer. Her hands were in his hair. They slowly began moving towards his bedroom. When they arrived in the bedroom, they were both out of breath from the make-out session that just happened seconds ago.
"We shouldn't-..." Ross softly said. Rachel looks him in the eyes and interrupted him. She put his face between her soft hands and stared deeply into his eyes.
"Shh... Please don't think of the consequences right now..." Rachel said in a whisper. She knew this could change everything, forever, between them. Make things better, worse, awkward, or perfect, but she didn't care. She didn't think of what could happen next, or the consequences right now, she just wanted to be in his arms.
Ross thought for a moment: 'She was right, this felt right, I need this, we need this. Kissing her felt right. Holding her felt right, I can't stop now...' Ross thought.
A/N: Hi, I'm sorry for interrupting. This part is pretty sexual. If you're not comfortable with that, please skip to another text in this font. Please keep on reading the fanfic, even if you don't like sexual content, it's defiantly more than just sex.
He pulled her back in the kiss. His hand traveled to her thighs, he squeezed them a little, hoping that Rachel would get the hint. She did. She wrapped her legs around his waist while she jumped a little. He walked towards the wall, with Rachel wrapped around him.
His lips traveled down to her neck and began sucking on her neck. She missed this so much, he knew exactly what she liked, his lips were now kissing her collarbones. Her hands were softly stroking the back of his neck. His kisses were filled with passion, but it wasn't needy, it was romantic. They've both been waiting for this for so long, too long.
He leaned her against the wall and start to pull her shirt up. To make everything a little easier, she jumped off him. They begin slowly undressing each other, he tossed her shirt away and she begins unbuttoning his shirt, in the meanwhile, he was still kissing her, but now between her breasts. She let out a soft moan because of his amazing work.
Ross took Rachel's hand and guided her to the bed, where he laid her down. He unbuttoned her pants and slit them off. He did the same with his own pants. He undid her bra and began kissing her breast. He stopped and looked into her eyes for a second. They stared into each other's eyes and smiled at each other. He took a moment to admire her, he knew that this would be the last time, and he wanted to savor this moment forever. He didn't want this to be rushed, and he especially didn't want her to regret this afterward. She started blushing when she sees his eyes wandering around her body.
This felt right for both of them. The only thing left that separated them was their underwear. He slit her underwear carefully off and she did the same with his boxers. Again, he looked into her eyes, but this time, he raises his eyebrows, as a gesture of asking for permission. They'd done this so many times before, but he still wanted her to be sure and feel safe. Rachel simply nods, she understood what he meant, because she knew him.
He slowly guides himself inside her, hoping it's not hurting her, or that she really wants this. But all his insecurities disappear when she closes her eyes to cherish the moment. She let out a soft more out of pleasure. He started slow, but as their moans got louder, speed started to increase. They both felt their climaxes coming and with one more thrust, he collapsed next to her.
A/N Hello. So, sum it up: They had sex. You didn't miss anything super big, but it's an important part of the story. The next few lines are not in detail or anything. But everyone else does know. (Just the other friends)
She laid her head on his chest, and they both tried to catch their breaths. This was nothing like they'd ever had with someone else. After they both regained their breath, there was a silence, but it wasn't uncomfortable. This felt amazing for both of them. They laid there, hoping the moment would never end.
"Wow..." Rachel said while sighing. She wrapped her arms around his arms and closed her eyes.
"I know..." Ross just said, completely understanding what she was saying.
"I could lay here forever." She said dreamily.
"Me too"
He started to kiss the top of her head. After a long silence, she spoke up.
"But, you know, it would be sad if we just laid here, wasting time. Maybe we should invest our time wisely?" She said while looking up to him, turning her body so she laid with her stomach on him.
"You are right, hmm, what could we do," he said pretending not to understand what she was trying to say.
"Well... I had an idea in my head..." She said while she started drawing invisible lines on his stomach.
When she started kissing him, she could feel that he was smiling against her lips. She smiled too. Their kisses led to another round, and another one after that. They fell asleep in each other's arms, still completely naked.
A few hours later, Rachel stood up. Ross was still sleeping so she didn't want to wake him up. She smiled at him, and carefully unwrapped her body from his arms. She looked over at the digital alarm clock and saw that it was 1 AM. She'd had the best time, but she needed to get out of there. If Monica sees that Rachel wasn't home yet, she may start panicking.
She collected her clothes and got dressed. Before she left his bedroom, she walked over to him and left a soft kiss on his lips. She walked out of his bedroom, looked around one more time in his apartment, and a single tear dropped down her face.
"Goodbye," She whispered softly to herself.
Then, she left. She didn't leave a note, nothing. She didn't feel good about it either, but she just didn't know what to do or say next. She didn't regret anything that happened the last few hours, though.
"Hey, where have you been?" Monica asked when Rachel walked through the door of their apartment. Monica was just home; she still had her chef hat on.
"Just... Out." Rachel mumbled. Monica looked at her with suspicion in her eyes. It was nothing for Rachel to be so vague, but she decided to think nothing of it since it's been a long and hard day for everyone.
"Oh, we moved dinner to tonight, as in, the day that started about an hour ago. Is that okay with you?" Monica asked.
"Oh... Sure... Yeah, no, of course. Why though?" Rachel asked Monica. She was not looking forward to that dinner, she was scared it might be awkward between Ross and her.
"It just fits better for Phoebe and Chandler, so yeah..." Monica answered. She noticed how Rachel was acting a little... odd. She was biting her nails and was clearly with her mind elsewhere.
"Oh okay." Rachel simply said.
"I'll go over to Ross in the morning, to ask him if it would be okay with him."
Rachel wasn't paying much attention anymore to the conversation, her thoughts were with Ross again. It was an amazing night. But it also hurt her. It reminded her that this was the end of 'Ross and Rachel' as a couple. Her thoughts got distracted by a sudden question.
"So... What do you think about Ross Leaving? You were really quiet, are you okay?" Monica asked.
"Y-yes! Of course, I'm happy for him. He is happily married to Emily. And of course, I'm going to miss him." Rachel's voice was squeaky, and she begins to choke up. "But he is happy. And he deserves this, after what happened with his first marriage, you know?" Rachel said as tears were forming in the corner of her eyes. She smiled it off and tried to casually look away.
'I need to get out of this conversation before I completely break.' she thought.
"O-okay, if you say so," Monica said, she knew Rachel was lying and she could see that Rachel was trying so hard not to break down, so she decided to let it go and not bother her with it. 'If she wanted to talk, she would have to come to me and talk to me. I'm not going to meddle into this, because it's none of my business.' Monica thought to herself.
"I'm going to my room." Rachel quickly said. She ran to her room and locked herself. She let herself fall onto the bed, still with her clothes on, and drifted off.
"Yes, I am saying, she was acting all weird! She got home at, like, 1 AM. Then she acted all distanced and nervous. She said things about being happy for him, and then she ran off to her room. And her voice was all choked up and her eyes were red. It looked like she had been crying." Monica said. She was worried sick about Rachel, so, she decided to ask her friends for advice.
The friends, minus Ross and Rachel, were sitting at Central Perk, discussing Ross and Rachel while drinking some coffee. After her weird encounter last night, Monica worried sick about Rachel, so, she decided to ask her friends for advice.
"And you're sure this wasn't just a dream?" Joey said while smiling at her, but Monica just glared at him, not amused by his comment.
"Yes, I am sure." She said dryly. "This whole 'Ross situation' is bothering her more than she likes to admit."
"Yeah, well they have a history. Is it weird that she is having a hard time?" Chandler asked the group. They all shrugged and nodded slowly.
"I guess not... Is this just me? Am I overthinking this?" Monica asked.
"Maybe, we should just wait, and if she would want to talk about something, she would come to us, right?" Phoebe said.
"Yeah, I guess," Monica answered while drinking the last bit of her coffee.
Ross woke up while reaching out his arm, hoping Rachel to lie next to him, but it was empty. He could have expected it. But when it comes to Rachel, hope always gets the best of him. He stood up and looked over at his alarm clock. He sighed. '11 PM' he thought. He stood up and wiped the sleep out of his eyes. He collected his clothes and put new, fresh clothes on.
He walked over to the kitchen, to make some coffee. He had to start packing his stuff, for the big move. But first, he needed good coffee and breakfast.
After the coffee was done, he took a sip and started to nothing in particular. He took a deep breath and let out a deep sigh. 'This was the perfect way to say goodbye. Yes. This was just one last time, to say goodbye. No feelings. Just sex.' Ross tried to say to himself, in his head.
3 hours later
Ross was packing his stuff and boxes were gathered around the living room. He was done with most of his clothes, shoes, and other stuff he didn't need in the next 3 days. He lifted another box that stood in the way when a knock on his door interrupted him.
Ross' face lighted up. It could be Rachel to talk about last night. He walked happily to the door and opened it with a smile. But to his disappointment, it's just Monica. Maybe it was better this way.
"Oh... Hi." Ross said with disappointment in his voice, which was noticed by Monica.
"Nice to see you, too," Monica said sarcastically. Ross chuckles at her sarcasm and hugs her while kissing the top of her head.
"No, I am sorry! Come in. I just thought it was someone else, but what are you doing here?" Ross said with a smile and leading her into his apartment.
"I actually came to ask you if it's fine if we move dinner to tonight. I would have called, but I just wanted to see you... I'll miss you so much when you're in London..." Monica said, getting a little choked up by the end of her sentence.
"Hey... Monica, don't be sad, we'll call, I'll visit you guys. I'm not just going to forget about you guys." Ross said while he pulled his little sister in a hug. After a few minutes, she let go of the hug and wiped a single tear from her eye.
"I'll hold you on to that. So anyway, what about dinner?" Monica asks, going back to the question she came for.
"It's fine by me," Ross says, thinking about the fact that he'll see Rachel scared him a little, he hoped that it won't be awkward. But it'll be nice having a little closure of New York.
She walked towards the door, but she suddenly turns around and looked suspiciously at him.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Monica spoke.
"Sure?" Ross answered, feeling a little uneasy. He thought that she may know what happened last night with Rachel.
"This can also be me, just being totally paranoid," she said with a soft giggle. "But did you notice anything strange about Rachel last night, after we all left?"
His eyes widened. He panicked in his mind but tried to act cool.
A/U: I am not a big fan of this chapter. This and the next chapter were originally one, but I started to update the story with the feedback I got, and it was around 4500 words, so I split it in half. That's why there isn't a really big cliffhanger or anything like that. The point is that; I've already written the next 6 chapters, but I am not satisfied with them. They are too short and just badly written. I wrote those around 6 months ago, and in the last 6 months, my writing has improved ALOT. I am not busy updating all those chapters and in the meanwhile still trying to write new chapters, so everything is just a little bit hectic. I hope you kind of liked it and thank you for reading.
