Chapter 2

Pushing away Natalia let fear take over. "Why… what was that?"

"Do you see? Do you see what they think?"

"Oh my god."

"Oh finally."

"Oh they think that we…"

"Mmmhmm."

"They think that we're…"

"Yuuupp."

"But we aren't."

"Nnoopppeee."

"Then, then why did you kiss me like that?"

Silence filled the room with the question still hanging in the air until Natalia's phone rang.

"You gonna get that?" Olive asked. Praying it would be her ticket out of this conversation if only for the moment.

Letting out a long breath Natalia walked over to check her phone. "It's not Rafe." She said laying the phone back down and nervously turning back to Olivia.

Olivia was so unsure of where to go from here so in typical Olivia Spencer style, she threw the ball back in Natalia's court. "Well, say something."

"I did. I…I asked you why you kissed me like that."

"I kissed you….I kissed you because…." There were no words coming to mind. Hesitantly Olivia took one step and then another towards Natalia. As they came into close contact Natalia stiffened for a moment before she realized that Olivia was going to use action once again where words were failing.

For a split second Natalia thought about backing away, thought about continuing to run from what she wanted most in the world but was terrified of. She had known for far too long that she was having very strong feelings for her friend and now after kissing her she knew she was in love with her best friend. The question on her mind was weather or not she could act on that love. She knew if she allowed Olivia to kiss her again there would be no turning back. She would have to face this head on and come to terms with what it all meant. For a split second she thought of running, and then she didn't.

Olivia watched the emotions flash across Natalia's deep chocolate eyes. Watched as she considered her options. Watched as she decided to stay. Olivia looked deep into those beautiful expressive eyes and she too resided to her fate. No matter how many cute butts she looked at, only Natalia's made her heart race and her pulse quicken. She reached out with shaking hands and once again cupped Natalia's face. Taking one last glance into her eyes before claiming her lips again.

This Kiss was different. It was slow and tender. Olivia was the one to seek entrance with her tongue this time. Slowly snaking it out and sliding along Natalia's bottom lip. As Natalia opened her mouth to Olivia, her hands found their way to Olivia's hips, pulling her impossibly closer. Olivia slid her fingers through thick dark tresses as she glided her tongue gently against the roof of Natalia's mouth. Taking time to taste the women she loves.

As they slowly pulled apart, desperate for air, Olivia rest her forehead against Natalia's. After a few much needed breaths Olivia spoke in a small child like voice. "I kissed you because I am desperately, madly, can't think about anything else, in love with you. And I know that it's a sin in your book and I get that. And I know….."

"Olivia." Natalia said trying to stop her rambling.

"I know that you could never reciprocate…."

"Olivia!" Natalia tried again a little louder.

"And I know that this could never….."

"OLIVIA!" She shouted, finally making Olivia stop her rambling.

In a whisper, Olivia finally acknowledged that Natalia was speaking. "What?"

Rather then speaking Natalia simply wrapped her arms around Olivia's neck and crashed their lips together in a heated kiss. A kiss that left no room for question in its meaning. As the kiss deepened Natalia walked them backwards until Olivia's legs hit the back of the couch. Without breaking the earth shattering kiss, Olivia sat, pulling Natalia down with her until she was straddling her lap.

Natalia finally broke the kiss panting for breath. She slowly kissed along Olivia's jaw line to her ear and quietly whispered, "I'm in love with you too."

Olivia pushed Natalia back until they were looking into each others eyes. "You are?"

Slowly Natalia nodded her head. "Yes sweetie. Very much so." Then She looked away and started to stand.

Standing with her and taking her hand Olivia cautiously tilted her chin up. "Hey, hey what's wrong."

Pulling her hand back and looking away Natalia began to cry. "I love you Olivia but I need to think about this. Please be here when I get back."

Without waiting for a reply Natalia grabbed her purse and coat and ran out the door.
