In the blink of an eye, Rell once again found herself standing atop the fountain structure. Behind her, Elise, and Lux were the five summoners who had began to frantically observe the various screens around them.
Giganto (Rell): Guys, Darius is 7/0/1
SaikoSenshi(Seraphine): Alright, who fed him?
MadMan122(Lux): Sett? You're 0/6/0.
DIO(Sett): Only because Elise wouldn't gank for me!
FriendlyNeighbor(Elise): That's because your lane was pushed the whole game!
DIO(Sett): Oh yeah, what's your excuse Seraphine?
SaikoSenshi(Seraphine): Everyone knows you can't gank a pushed lane!
As the summoners continued arguing with the top laner, Rell cleared her throat and reluctantly glanced towards the spider woman.
"...Thanks for the help," she muttered. Elise let out a sinister chuckle before quickly scurrying back into the jungle.
"You're welcome."
"Don't think this means anything; I'm still going to kill you someday."
"Sure… we're all friends here." she laughed before vanishing into the thick plants and rocks of the jungle. Rell let out a groan as the summoners continued arguing.
"He's a freaking juggernaut! Why would you go for an all-in at level 2?"
"Because, unlike you imbeciles, I actually read and listen to guides!"
"Oh yeah, what guide told you to make that play?"
"Why, VoGuides, of course! The one that Lulu recommended."
"...Wasn't that the one that Veigar made?"
Meanwhile…
Veigar cackled as he watched the events unfold.
"Yes, suffer!" he summoned up a small bucket of popcorn.
Back to the game…
SaikoSenshi, Seraphine's summoner, let out a sigh of discontent.
"Look, maybe we should try and take the dragon," he said aloud.
"Dude, trying to teamfight against a fed Darius is like building AD on Soraka. It's a terrible idea, and you're stupid for suggesting it." Madman122 said, crossing his arms and pressing some buttons on the fountain. "I say we just surrender now. All in favor?"
A couple other summoners nodded in agreement, even a reluctant DIO. As they started prepping the surrender vote, the champions all sighed in disappointment.
"Dang… and here I was thinking I could show off all my moves to the new girl." Sett chuckled and sat down on the fountain.
"Guess this performance is ending sooner than I thought." Seraphine dejectedly sighed and turned off her hoverboard.
"Hey, come on guys, we can't quit now! Noxus doesn't ever pull back from the fight, and neither should we!" Rell suddenly interjected. Everyone glanced at her in confusion. "If I recall correctly, all of us have at least one ability that stuns… I think. Hey summoners, can I get a number crunch?"
"Uh…" Giganto whipped out a calculator. "Yeah, I guess we could lock him in a CC chain, but if that doesn't work, he's pretty much going to kill us all and snowball right into the nexus."
"Come on guys, it's just a stupid normal game," FriendlyNeighbor said. "It'll hardly matter if we lose in the long run…"
"Actually, I'm with Rell on this," said Elise. "I'm only one more win away from a new skin."
"That's the spirit, Elise." Seraphine eagerly hopped on her hoverboard again. "Lead the way, Rell."
"I'm kinda underleveled, but I still have a stun." Sett excitedly leaped to his feet. "Besides, I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet."
"Alright then," said Lux. "What about you, summoners?"
The five summoners began silently discussing with one another. Eventually, the voice announced.
Surrender Vote has failed, with two for and three against.
"It's settled." Giganto and Madman nodded to each other. "Go get 'em, ladies."
Rell grinned, mounted up, and drew her lance.
"Let's crush some heads!"
"For Demacia!"
"We're all breathtaking!"
"For the spider god!"
"Bring on the pain!"
At that moment, all five of them then realized why they didn't usually use their battlecries on the rift.
Rell linked with Seraphine and charged right down the middle lane, where Darius had been farming while they had been doing nothing of value. The Noxian general looked up and chuckled.
"Heh, they're coming back for more?" he swung his ax at Seraphine, who winced while before lighting up her ultimate.
"It's your turn to shine!" she blasted a massive skill shot at Darius, who ate it right in the face, leaving him stunned. As her summoner whispered commands into her mind, Rell took the opportunity and came crashing down off her horse, launching Darius upwards, much to his shock. Seraphine's skill shot flew right through her, hitting the enemy team, and caused them to lurch in Rell's direction. She smiled; this was going to be fun.
As Rell unleashed a flurry of strikes while carefully maneuvering around the enemy team, Sett grabbed the stunned Darius before he could react and slammed him into an unsuspecting Ezreal.
"Facebreaker!" he shouted before quickly Flashing away.
"Gah… oh, hey Lux!" he smiled briefly; before it became clear that the mage was charging her Light Binding. A blast of rainbow magic rooted him and Darius on the spot.
"All together!" Rell mounted up and flipped Darius over her before stunning him with her magnetic field. She activated her ultimate, drawing in the two champions. As this went on, all the other champions unleashed their fury, Lux's Ulti, Elise's combo, Seraphine's Q and E, Sett's Ultimate, and Rell's auto.
An enemy(Ezreal) has been slain.
Darius remained with a single sliver of health. He angrily swung at Rell with a fury of strikes as the whole team focused down the juggernaut further, just as Darius got his Noxian Might and started hacking away at the vanguard. Rell recoiled as she barely survived the bleed effect. Seraphine hit her healing ability as Elise unleashed her Venomous Bite, finishing off the Noxian.
Rell panted and grinned.
"I've been waiting a long time to do that."
"You know what? Me too." Elise giggled. "He was always a little annoying."
"Come on, guys!" Seraphine proc'd her E. "Let's get the dragon before…"
"Hiya!" Zoe suddenly flashed into the scene. "Guess what time it is?"
"Uh… twelve-thirty?"
Silence remained.
"I was going to say, Bubble time!"
Enemy(Zoe) Pentakill!
The Red team summoners exchanged confused looks.
"Huh, well, would you look at that. Zoe's summoner didn't buy any support items at all! She just built a full AP, complete with Rabadon's, Lichbane, and Liandry's! Freaking trolls..."
After that, the game went relatively well. Thanks to Zoe's Summoner's apparent incompetence with the role he had been assigned, the Red Team gained a significant vision bonus and was able to score several dragons and a baron before the Blue Team could even react. Rell secured numerous assists and even a kill before the Blue Nexus exploded, and the announcer shouted.
Red Team Victory!
The summoners cheered, honors were passed, and the champions all exited the rift. Rell was asked for her mark several more times before she could finally rejoin Lux.
"That. Was. Awesome!" Rell excitedly said. "Usually, when I fight, it's just a bunch of weapons hitting other weapons or magic hitting other stuff. But that was crazy, all kinds of cool spells, superpowers, abilities, and just… wow!"
"Glad you liked it." Lux chuckled. "You were great out there. I bet you'll be a pretty popular pick for a good while."
"Thanks. Actually, that reminds me…" Rell glanced over at the enemy team, who was currently delivering a verbal, and physical, beatdown to Zoe's summoner while Darius' was trying to brag about his KDA. "What exactly are the requirements to become a summoner? These guys are kinda…"
"Unprofessional?" said Lux. "Yeah, there used to be a whole training process, but now they'll accept pretty much anyone. The Institute makes billions off of their endless attempts to join the Challenger rank even though half of them barely reach Gold."
"You don't say?"
"Well, anyway, I'm exhausted. Time to hit the showers!"
Lux was eager to show off one of her favorite parts of the Institute, the locker rooms. Separated by gender, decorated with spotless tiles, and boasted all kinds of remedial services to relieve the stress of a game. Bath salts, on-demand massages, saunas, ice baths, all kinds of aromas in the air, and blissfully hot showers. There was just one issue…
"There's… no curtains." Rell glanced at the completely open stalls, just across from the lockers where several other female champions were standing around changing clothes and gossiping about this and that. One look and half the roster would see everything your body had to offer. At the moment, she and Lux had shed their armor, weapons, and clothes. Lux was casually simply covering herself with a tower, while Rell was taking extra care to ensure that nobody would see the many magic sigils engraved on her skin. As well as, of course, her naked body.
"Yeah, I don't know why. I'd say it's a perversion thing, but the men's room doesn't even have walls, so they're constantly looking at each other's you-know-what. I don't know if it's some kind of exercise in discipline or if the person who designed this place has some messed up ideas about women. Either way, I just hide my lady parts with light magic, but not everyone has that privilege.
"Huh? What do you…"
Lux casually dropped her towel. Indeed, white light shone out from her "lady parts," concealing them as a censor bar on a TV show would. That didn't necessarily help Rell's slowly growing lust from years of isolation.
I better make sure I have some tissues for after this.
"I think I'll just use the shower in my room." Rell nervously smiled. "I have a couple… scars."
"Oh, that's fine! I have a couple too. Though, you can't see them right now." Lux chuckled and entered the shower stall. Rell was about to turn and leave when she noticed Seraphine casually shedding her clothes without a care in the world and opening the shower.
"Ah… that's so nice…" Seraphine smiled and let the water run down her long pink hair, which simply hung down her shoulders without the support of her ribbon. She didn't seem the slightest bit concerned for her exposed figure. In fact, she suddenly grabbed a shampoo bottle and suddenly began to sing, just as one would do if they were alone. Rell simply watched as this perfect mix of beauty and sex appeal performed right in front of her. "And no one is perfect. You don't need to be strong every single day. No one really knows along the way, that the best things in life won't be… perfect anyway."
Her voice… it's… wow.
Not just beautiful to hear, something about the sound… healed her. For a brief moment, she felt everything fade from her mind as Seraphine's voice filled her with a rejuvenating bliss. She could've stood there for a good hour for all she knew before she headed back to her room.
After taking a shower and putting her things away, someone knocked at her door. It was Sett.
"Oh… Hi Sett, what are you doing here?" she said, her heart already picking itself back up after the heat of battle and the locker room events. The Pit Boss chuckled.
"I didn't get a chance to properly introduce myself. I heard you're looking to take down the whole Noxian regime, are you?" he said, his grin revealing a small fang in his mouth.
"Uh, yes, I'm working on that." Rell mentally slapped herself to put the barest hint of composure. "Anyway, I hear you're pretty popular for your… fighting. I think."
"Now that is an understatement." Sett crossed his arms, still grinning. "You didn't get to see me at my full strength today, but I plan to rectify that. Wednesday, four in the afternoon, you, me, the training gym, and your metal… thingy. Can't wait to see what you've got."
"Really? Thanks, I'd love to hunk-I mean hang out." Rell's conscience kicked her for that slip. Hopefully, Sett hadn't noticed her eyes drifting to his impressive bulk.
"Great! Can't wait to see you."
It was a pretty great day.
