Ogata left a few minutes after Kirby, Maisie, and Lesley left for the store, which left Raylee and Kit the only occupants in the house. And once Raylee had finished cleaning the dishes, she headed upstairs and went to check up on Kit.
"Kit?" Raylee asked while knocking on the bedroom door. "Are you up?"
"Ye-" Kit stopped to sneeze. "Yeah, I'm up."
Raylee opened the door and there on her youngest sibling's bed was Kit curled up under his blanket with only his head and his shoulders to be seen, tissues almost everywhere on the bed, and a green bucket nearby on the floor. Kit looked up at his big sister with teary blue eyes and it wasn't long before Raylee had her baby brother in her arms and already whispering and cooing comforting words to the youngest quintuplet.
"I hate myself." Kit murmered as his sister held him.
"Don't say that Christopher." Was barely heard by the boy as she placed a kiss onto the top of his head.
"But I keep getting sick!" Kit sobbed as he stared up to his sister. "And now I'm going to miss the new years concert and I'm the lead singer in eight out of the 10 songs that we're singing tonight! And Ms. H's is going to blame me and-"
"And Ms. H is going to be dealing with me if she thinks that she can blame you for missing a concert." Raylee cut Kit off.
"Raylee."
"Christopher."
Only silence came afterwards and doing her best to swaddle Kit in his green blanket as if he was a baby again, and carried him, along with the bucket, downstairs to the kitchen.
"We're gonna try some medicine and see if that helps with the tummy ache," Raylee announced to Kit as she sat Kit down on one of the chairs at the table. "Okay?"
"Okay." Kit nodded his head.

Kirby, Maisie, and Lesley had returned at 6:55 A.M. and by that point, Kit was on the couch in the living room, Maisie went downstairs with Lesley tagging along to play video games in the basement, and Kirby was with Raylee checking around the outside of the house just to make sure that nobody was out there like the two always did everyday after a couple hours, usually three. A knock came from the front door and Raylee was the first to reach the front side of the house to see Kit's choir teacher, Ms. Horn standing near the front door and her knocks turned to her pounding on the door.
"Hey!" Raylee approached the middle-aged woman, she even grabbed a hold of the teacher's left arm. "Hey! Stop!"
Ms. H looked away and stopped to see her student's older siblings and stopped immediately.
"I...I was just making sure if Christopher was alright, he didn't show up for the concert and..."
"You were going to blame replacing him all on Kit weren't you?" Raylee interrupted her.
"No, I-"
"Go, just please go. I have a sick kid to take care of." Raylee interrupted once again before taking off inside the house, leaving Kirby and their little brother's teacher alone.
"Have a good day ma'am." Kirby told Ms. H before following his sister inside.
Kirby found his big sister on the couch holding Kit close as she could while the latter held his bucket up to his face while he puked into it. Kirby grabbed a tissue and wiped the vomit that remained on the younger's chin.
"Am I doing something wrong?"
The sudden question caught Kirby off guard while he lifted Kit up to take him to take a bath.
"I...I probably just got Christopher kicked out of choir because of how I talked to her." Raylee continued.
Before Kirby could reassure his big sister, Kit reached out towards their sister.
"You aren't doing anything wrong, Ray-Ray." Kit reassured Raylee.
Raylee could smile at her youngest quintuplet and Kirby lowered Kit down so Raylee could place a kiss on his forehead.
"I love you," Raylee said to her two younger brothers. "Every single one of you."
"We all love you too, Raylee."
