Sakura and Naruto
A/N :
Prompt : Write your story about two characters tidying up after a party.
Judging by the happy smiles of the children going happily back home with their parents, the birthday party must have been amazing.
But why were thereso many streamers?
Their mission of the day was to clean up after a ten-year-old boy's birthday party. They were supposed to only lend a hand, not do all of this themselves!
When they arrived, the boy's parents only thanked them and said that they were going to have a nice family dinner somewhere else.
Sakura sighed as she untangled yet another streamer. A mission was still a mission, and she was determined to see it through. She tossed the streamer to the ground. Sakura had agreed to remove the streamers and confetti from the walls and furniture (and ceiling), while Naruto would sweep and collect them. Their other teammate and Sensei were cleaning up many many broken pinatas in the garden. Seriously, if Sakura hadn't seen the birthday boy, she would have thought more than one kid was celebrating his birthday
Seeing another streamer on the table she went to get it. Midway she paused. It was quiet. Too quiet.
She jogged out of the living room into the hallway. Naruto was standing below a big banner that read 'Happy Birthday!' in big bold letters. A bag of streamers in his hands.
"Naruto! You're supposed to be sweeping the floor and-" He didn't budge. She reached a hand out to tug at his sleeve. "Hey, you okay??"
As if just noticing she was there, he laughed.
"Course I am! Hey, Sakura-chan I was gonna take down the banner but it'swaytoo big ya know??" He shuffled his feet. "W-wanna help me out?"
Sakura wonders if naruto ever had a birthday party. Probably not. She made a promise that she—together with Sasuke and sensei would make sure he had great birthdays from now on.
But, his birthday's still far away... So she's gonna do the next best thing.
"Sure!" Naruto smiled the biggest smile she has ever seen. Before Naruto could babble on about how they were going to get the banner down, she cut him off. "Hey Naruto, wanna eat ramen after we finish the mission?"
He blushed. "You-You mean like a date?!"
"No, you dummy! We'll eat with Sensei and Sasuke too." A pause "But I'll pay for all of us."
"Wha- You don't have to Sakura-Chan!! Sensei should pay!!" She laughed as Naruto flustered.
"Do you really think sensei would pay??" She raised her eyebrow.
"Well, probably not... "
She nodded to herself and put her hands on her hips. Quickly putting her hands back on her sides when she realized she was copying Kaka sensei. Instead, she put a hand to her chin she thought out loud.
"Hmm, if only there was a way to quickly clean up the house."
They both went quiet thinking of a way. Though naruto beat her to a solution.
"I know! I'll just make clones. That way won't it be quicker?? "
Sakura went to stop him but he was already finishing his hand signs.
"Wait!! Naruto Don't make too many-"
Let's just say they didn't get to eat till late at night
