Sakura finally set down the last of her boxes in her room and sat on the couch, seconds later her roommate sat down too and let out a sigh.
"Say , Sasuke, you said your last name was Uchiha- you don't have any relation with THE Fugaku Uchiha, right?"
"I do, I'm his son."
"Oh my god, I am so sorry I heard about what happened to your family."
"I don't need your pity, woman."
Shrugging off the comment- 'who calls people, woman anymore?' she asked him
"Aren't you the heir of the company? why the short budget."
"Father-Will-can't have inheritance till I finish college."
"Oh. Are you going to Konoha U. too?"
"Yes, Law. You?"
"Pre-med."
"Hn."
Sakura quickly understood he wasn't one to uphold conversations, she also understood that Sasuke looked 'HAWT AS FUCK' as Ino would say.
"Why were you so angry when you came in?"
"Oh this asshole Kakuzu who owns the house up the street was supposed to rent his house to me and I had planned accordingly but just two days before coming to Konoha I realised that he had rented it to some other dude because he offered to pay double the amount I had. Why were you here when you couldn't afford the rent?"
"I didn't expect the stupid will my father had written and I had opted to rent the expensive upscale villa near the university, now that I was barred from using the money I was forced to search all throughout for any place that would offer vacancy- this was my only option."
"Well then I am glad I met you then."
"Hn."
"WHO IS THAT ABSOLUTE EYE CANDY LIVING WITH YOU ?" Ino was almost fainting after she had come to visit her childhood friend to see how she was getting by in her new place and seeing Sasuke.
Sakura explained all the things that happened the day before.
"You lucky bitch! The things I would do with that guy. And he's the heir of a billion dollar company- you hit jackpot."
"I didn't hit shit, Ino. I came here to become a doctor not some philanderer."
"Oh please, like you haven't already thought of jumping his bones Sa-ku-ra."
Sakura blushed and waved her hands
"W-we're getting off topic! Ino- this place is affordable now that I am sharing it but it is still more than I originally thought, I need a job, pig. Desperately!"
"Oh chill out forehead! I'll get you a job at the cafe I work at, we needed a new Barista anyways."
"Thanks Pig you're the best!"
"Dobe, I need a job."
"Ha! thats what I've been telling you since you were a snobby brat!"
"Don't joke right now, I am in some deep shit just help me get a goddamn job."
"Alright! Alright! I can get you a job at the Fast food joint I work in, meet me in college I'll tell you the details."
"Hn."
"Not even a thank you, jeez your still a spoilt brat."
Sasuke cut the call, and wondered why he was friends with that idiot anyways.
Sakura and Sasuke met for dinner that day, both were absolutely exhausted from the unpacking and both had expected the other to cook something that day.
"What do you mean haven't I cooked anything- you're the woman!"
"We don't live in the stone ages jackass men can cook too."
"Don't be a feminist right now and go cook something!"
"Why should I cook something you spoilt brat! You wanna eat something then you cook something!"
"God! I don't even have enough money left this month for takeout right now."
Sasuke opened the fridge and was greeted by a fresh wave of cold air and the sight of an absolutely empty fridge
"Wait. We don't even have groceries- even if I did cook then we wouldn't have anything to cook with." Sasuke's revelation had stunned Sakura, neither of them had ever lived alone and these menial responsibilities hadn't even crossed their minds.
"What do we do now?"
Both of them pondered it for a moment
"We could just sleep on an empty stomach."
Sakura's stomach grumbled and Sasuke got his response (Seriously did this woman have no manners, all the woman Sasuke had met before were high class women who had grace in every breath)
Sakura suddenly snapped her fingers
"I HAVE AN IDEA!"
"Don't shout in my ears damnit."
"Listen, we can go to a restaurant that I know, they give you 50 hot wings and if you eat them all then they're free but you have to eat them under half and hour."
"Thats your idea? There's no way I'm going to participate in some pigsty eating competition."
But before Sasuke could even say anything else sakura had already grabbed his hands and ran him out of the door.
"How did I let you drag me into this?"
"Oh cheer up drama queen! We're ready for this, we didn't eat anything all day and we're both pretty tired and starving- it's perfect" Sakura said as she waited her food to be brought out.
As the wings were set about the table , a man with a timer started the count down-

"1"
"GO!"
Sasuke watched to his side as Sakura dug in stuffed her face with the wings, he turned his nose up with disgust no way was he dropping every shred of manners he had learnt since birth for these stupid wings.
"You know you have to pay for these if you don't finish them right, I am not paying for you." Sakura said her mouth full of wings.
Sasuke's sweat dropped, there was no way he could afford the 100 dollars wings right now, he only had 12 dollars or so.
He started digging into the wings and he was surprised at their taste- these must have been the best wings he ever had.
Sasuke looked at the time - 4 more minutes to go, Sakura had already finished her wings and he had 10 left.
"COME ON SASUKE I BELIEVE IN YOU!"
Sasuke took in a deep breath, even 1 wing felt like too much right now. But he had to persevere right now, he couldn't afford the 100 dollars. He looked around the restaurant as everyone's eyes were centered on him, he slowly started to eat and eat and eat.
"LAST TEN SECONDS."
Sasuke eyed the 3 last wings he had.
"10, 9, 8 ,7 ,6 ,5 ,4, 3 ,2"
The bone of the last wing hit Sasuke's plate and he threw his head back in relief as the whole restaurant cheered.
He clutched the certificate with his name on it and a very bright T-shirt with the words "Wing King" close to his chest as if they were his most prized possessions ever. He hadn't had this much fun ever before at the snobby dinner parties he had to go to with his family and he felt exhilarating.
"YOU DID IT SASUKE!"
Sasuke was surprised he was just as happy as Sakura was.
