Hey everyone, I'm feeling completely morose tonight and tonight I'm dedicating this chapter to a very special bird I had rescued of yesterday night, he was a baby sparrow who lost his mother and my mother and I took him home to nurse him. I called him, Spirit. And tonight, he had a seizure and passed on. I grew quickly on him and hoped he lived as his mother would want him to. I failed him and his mother, I feel like a biggest failure. So, I'm dedicating this chapter to him. May he rest in peace… please.
Chapter Two The Spirited One
Seras stepped out into view from the airport. Lifting her nose slightly, she whiffed the air gently and exhales just as much. Seras quickly hailed a cab and hopped in and quickly giving off the directions to her destination. The cab driver nodded off and drove off, following the given directions. It took but an hour, and the long drive pull into a stop just out front of an expensive hotel. Seras stares at the hotel before turning around to pay the driver via cash and then gracefully as a leopard walked to the sliding doors and entered.
The lobby was well furnished with of course expensive luxury. Seras cast her crimson eyes about till she has found her target. A tan woman with platinum blonde waist-length hair sitting in one of the lobby seats. This woman looked to be in her early twenties. Beside her stood a regal man in his mid-twenties. And by his stance was fiercely loyal only to her.
Seras, whom founded her new employer, quickly moved to stand in front of the woman.
"You must be Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, the heiress of Hellsing Org., correct?", Seras says her eyes fixated on the woman's face.
The woman gave off a serious impression of a strong willed woman, a heart of iron. Seras felt she can proudly stand besides this woman. Integra glanced briefly at her before focusing on her paperwork in her hands.
"Please sit."
Seras sat patiently in the seat directly across from Integra. It was silent for a moment for Integra finally looks up from her works.
"I am your new employer, your master if you will", Integra smirked at her pun.
Seras remain stilled.
"You are to call me as Sir Integra, or I'll have your head. Is that clear?", Integra said steely as if to get her point across.
"Perfectly", Seras replied back.
"Listen carefully, our shipment is being held off in one of the warehouses' ports and the Vice Minister of Home Affairs is trying to fend our attempts of reclaiming our goods. Your job is to help reclaim what is ours, understood?", Integra briefed shortly.
Seras wanted to roll her eyes in annoyance but held back.
"Of course. However, I do not need the details, just who should I be targeting", Seras says but nodded anyway.
Integra smiles, "Good. I'll hold you to that, ex-assassin."
Integra nodded to the man to her left as the man slightly bowed to Seras.
"This is one of your teammates you'll be working along", Integra said.
"Walter C. Dornez at your service, Lady Victoria", Walter spoke up.
Seras smiles a small one at the kindness radiating off of his slight bowed form.
"Like wise, Sir Walter", Seras spoke softly, her features slowly losing their edge.
Walter smiles and straighten up. Walter feels he could like and honestly trust her, only time would tell. Integra stands up and began walking off in an unseeingly random direction. Walter quickly falling in step behind her. Seras stands effortlessly herself and began to glide to the pair. Falling in step behind Walter.
It was a silent and tension filled walk to their destination that Seras felt no need to break in more favorable option to be silent and observant as an assassin should. Seras scolded herself lightly. I'm no longer an assassin of that terrible place! I'm with Sir Integra now…
Seras began to focus on the hallway they have currently entered in from the elevator, and was standing in front of a door. Walter stepped forth and opened to reveal a sight to behold… and in Integra's case, a vein to be popped.
There in the room was four people, two seemingly has drawn out their guns and pointed at another's head; one in hate and disgust and the other in pure amusement. The other two occupants were one a Frenchman and the other a Japanese. In fact, the other one currently holding a gun was also Japanese and held a resemblance to the other.
Seras presumed them to be brother and sister; the brother with long black hair held in a loose ponytail with bangs framing his chiseled face. His eyes were sky blue. His apparent sister had similar hair except for her eyes which were silver. The Frenchman had chestnut long braided hair, and his left eye covered in an eyepatch; the other a bright viridian green. The male Japanese was clearly doubled in laughter and glee at the scene before them whilst the Frenchman was utterly bored and lounging on a chair backwards.
The other man, had also mid-length blackest of black hair, his skin porcelain white and clean from any blemishes. His eyes were that of crimson red, color of blood. A trait of an assassin. In fact, Seras instincts told her he was dangerous and violent, a prospect of a true opponent. Seras inner self smiles at the prospect.
"What is going on here!?", Integra demanded.
Both the gun enthusiasts looked up at their employer, one shocked and the other thoroughly amused.
"Well?", Integra said eerily calm.
It was the Japanese female that spoke.
"Sir Integra I, he… well… he started it!", the Japanese claimed.
"And what have we talked about this before, Alice?", Integra asked in the same tone making Alice flinched.
Alice looked at her employer before ashamedly looked down to the floor.
"To not engaged in pointless fights that would disrupt the team efficacy", Alice spoke clearly, guilt ridden her beautiful face.
"Hmph", was all said from the en-crazed assassin before effectively quieting at his employers' glare at him.
He too lowered his eyes but not in shame or that ever present amusement but in resignation.
"It won't happen again."
His voice sent violent shivers down Seras spine, however, tried her damndest to ignore it. Seras focused her attention back onto her employer, Sir Integra as she cleared her throat to remove any non-existent goop there. Her voice showing clear authority and power.
"Now. That the disruption is out of the way… I'd like to introduce our newest recruit… Seras Victoria."
Seras stepped beside Sir Integra from behind her form and glared menacingly at the new teammates of hers. The Frenchman groaned upon seeing her eye sets from his seatings. The Japanese male was obviously drooling over her form, at her side, her trusty chained sycthe. Alice looked on interested. And the crazed assassin that Seras keeping in sight in the corner of her vision stilled and shudder to then proceeded to laugh in a hysterical fit.
After his fit cooled down to some mild chuckling of a deranged man, Integra introduced the team.
"That drooling baffooned is Joshua Yuu and this is his sister Alice Yuu, both were once elite police officers."
"Next to Joshua is Pip Bernadotte, an once member of the proud "Wild Geese" mercenaries. In fact, he was their leader."
"And lastly the nosfretau, the no-life giver himself, is Alucard."
When his name was mentioned, his chuckling had abruptly stopped and walked silently up to and in front of Seras. He bowed deeply, not once breaking eye contact. Grasping her hand gently, Alucard placed a chaste kiss on her hand. Seras, locked on and into his gaze, nearly had blushed at the contact but had in time reminded herself of her stature. Quite seeing this through her mask, Alucard grins mischievously.
"It is finally nice to see that none of our clan brethren's all but vanished", Alucard said, "What faction are you from, nosfretau Crimson Moon?"
Seras smirked, unknowingly giving off violent and gleeful radiation coming off in waves to the team members.
Oh, great, like one crazed lunatic is enough…, groaned Alice.
"Under the second faction, the Crimson Blade", Seras answered.
Alucard smiled gleefully at this and couldn't wait to see her in action. No, he cannot wait at all.
This is going to be fun!...
