Harry was in his office as he picked up the phone and dialled Josh's number whilst Josh was in his office doing paperwork as the phone rang so he answered it and said" Harry how's Ruby?"
Harry took a deep breath and said" Josh I've got bad news I'm afraid as Ruby is paralysed because the crash damaged the bones in her legs also she'll need support."
Josh was shocked and said" Is there any treatment" whilst Harry nodded and said" There is physio and she'll have support from Iain, Jessica and from her family."
When Harry got off the phone Jessica knocked on the door as Harry said" come in."
Jessica walked in and smiled saying" Harry I've talked to Iain and I'm going to move into their house so that I can do things around the house for them and doing the shopping so that Iain can concentrate on helping Ruby."
Harry nodded as he said" that is very kind of you Jessica helping Ruby and Iain through this difficult time when are you moving in?"
Jessica smiled and said" I've already moved in as Iain has got a spare bedroom and till I get a place of my own I'll help the couple round the house."
Harry nodded and Jessica left Harry's office.
Meanwhile Iain was in Josh's office as Josh said" how are you coping?"
Iain sighed and said" I've got to get the house adapted for Ruby's wheelchair and that isn't cheap also I need to work as we need money for bills."
Josh smiled and said" Don't panic Iain I know some old school friends that can adapt the house for Ruby's needs."
Iain smiled and nodded as Josh found Rylan's number and dialled the number.
Rylan was at home feeding his baby son as his phone rang. He answered it and said" Josh how may I help you?"
Josh smiled and said" Rylan my daughter is paralysed because she was involved in a road traffic accident and the house needs to be adapted so could you do it?"
Rylan smiled and said" Yeah I would do anything for your daughter I'll text Robert and tell him what is happening."
Iain said" who'll be my partner because Ruby has alway been my partner."
Josh said" We've got a new paramedic joining us tomorrow and his name is Jez Andrews as he has just completed his necessary training to qualify to become a paramedic so you'll get to know him tomorrow and he is full of jokes."
When Iain went home that night Rylan and Robert met Iain as Robert smiled and said" Hey Iain we've did the adaptations of the house as there is a lift for Ruby, also we've adapted the kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom."
Iain smiled and said" cheers guys."
Rylan smiled and said" I've known Ruby even since she was born so she is a fighter Iain."
Iain smiled and sat on the couch as he can't wait for Ruby to come home and be with him again.
