AN: Some dumb shit before my work takes off again!
Shadow was exhausted by the time he went to open the front door to his home. He was dreading having to leave in just over an hour to go to the first, of many, of Sandy's birthing classes. She was now 20 weeks pregnant and nonstop focused on prepping for the coming of their twins. He was trying his best to keep his sanity and support her but her constant changing of moods made a difficult task for him almost impossible. He regrettably found himself stopping off at the bar, most days, after work and having a few drinks before heading home, as she had started hounding him for drinking.
Tonight, he could find no comfort in drinking, or even smoking as, even since she became pregnant, Sandy had cracked down on that bad habit of his the most. He knew full well she likely had a large list of things they needed to go over at home before even leaving to the doctor's office where the class was being held. All he could do as he opened the door was pray, she'd at least let him take a shower before her full-on pregnancy crazy took its full assault on him.
To Shadow's shock Sandy was nowhere to be seen as he walked through the door and was greeted by Rune. The black hedgehog kneeled down and patted his pet as the smell of cooking food filled his nose. It was a nice change of pace as Sandy was pretty sporadic the last few months on whether, she could find time to prepare a home cooked meal or not. Shadow tried not to be too disappointed as she was taking a large load of the chores on herself just by living there, but after a year and a half of marriage he found himself spoiled and use to her taking very good care of him. Even their sex life had been on the rocks, as one week would be uneventful and then excessive the next. He almost longed for the sense of normalcy again, but he kept telling himself this was just temporary and what she was putting him through was likely nothing compared to what she was actually going through herself.
"Hey!" Sandy walked into the living room that the entry way lead into. "Sorry, but I'm running a bit late with dinner. I got caught up with putting together da changing table and that playpen." Sandy walked up to her husband and gave him a solid hug, once he was on his feet again, that she let taper off before finally letting go. "It's good ta see ya." She spoke happily into his chest as they hugged.
Shadow found himself grateful for her current good mood as he returned her hug vigorously. Although, even since she started showing he'd been extra careful not to put too much stress on her abdomen. Sex had even become stressful for him as he didn't want to hurt her or the children. She told him, as did many of the books she threw at him, that sex wasn't an issue with a normal pregnancy, but he still found himself mostly reluctance... despite how badly he wanted it.
"It is good to see you too." He smiled down at her as she looked up at him. Shadow almost choked on his own breath as her smile took a more intense and seductive turn. She took one of her hands and gripped the fabric of his shit tightly as she aggressively pulled him down so she could kiss him. She didn't even bother with her normal light play and then building up to more force interaction but went right into pressed her tongue in his mouth and then sucked at his mouth as if she was trying to suck up a mostly solid mass through a straw. It was almost painful, but after the last week of no sex and only her crying he found himself not minding this new... odd sexual aggressiveness.
Sandy finally let him go and then moved her hands up and down his chest while looking up at him pleadingly. "I've missed ya so much."
"I.." Shadow cleared his throat as her hands kept rubbing his chest but now found their way under his shirt as she also managed to twist her fingers through his fur. "I missed you too." He said back, but more as a pathetic trapped young man in love than the strong nearing middle aged man that he was. The way he stated his words gave way to her that she had complete control.
"We got some time before dinners done, and I was wondering if maybe..." She smiled at him a she stopped her question and then just laid her head on his chest as she looked at him.
"Anything." He breathed out heavily hoping she was asking for what he needed so badly, even if it made him extremely nervous in her pregnancy.
"Really?" She pulled away from him as her face took on a more innocent look.
"SHIT!" He yelled at himself mentally while trying not to show his disappointment as there was no way she was talking about sex. "Of course, Sandy." He stated not hiding the disappointment in his voice, but still smiling down at her lovingly.
"I've missed ya so bad today." She stressed again as she pressed her enlarged breasts, due to pregnancy, into him as her focus took on a yearning look again. "I couldn't stop thinking about ya... us..." Her breath started to pick up pace as if she were running as she moved her hands around his body again.
Shadow had found himself overly erect at her last few question, now that he knew for sure she was after what he was after he was more ready to go than he'd ever been even in his teenage years. "I need you." He huffed as he pulled her head up into a kiss. He hated how when he was so wound up he couldn't think of much but his same old line to repeat to her. He prayed she wouldn't get sick of them as they were true and his heart bled each time he open up to her in this sort of way.
Her smile stayed as one of delight as she pushed herself away from him, and even getting a confessed looked out of him, before she grabbed his hand and started to drag him to their bedroom. She looked back just as he started to smile again.
"I love you, Sandy." He stated before she pushed him down on their bed and crawled on top of him.
