Paige took a breath. She was relieved it was Toby, but knew he wouldn't leave her until he'd gotten to the bottom of her distress. Her greatest nightmare had found her. She knew the best way to escape this mission and escape Collins today would be to tell the shrink of her greatest but most terrible secret. For once Toby didn't push her to speak- he held out his arms and let her weep in his friendly embrace. He waited for her to be ready- which meant she had to be braver then she felt.
"I was in College at the time." She began. "I was doing well. I wanted to work in Paediatrics but it was hard. I wasn't into drinking and partying, so to relax iin-between my studies I joined the Cheerleading Squad. I was pretty and popular so my sorority leader in Pi Upsilon told me at length it was kind of expected of me anyway. I was good-really good. In 2001 we made the Nationals and I was top of the pyramid. I couldn't be happier." She looked at Toby and gave him a watery smile before frowning. "We'd been put in a crappy hotel in the middle of nowhere. The other girls had gone into one room to celebrate our win. But I couldn't afford to fall behind on my work so I'd gone back to my room to study." She broke down again, crying as she remembered the fear she'd felt that night. "I didn't know he was there. I pulled out my books and my pens- and he covered my mouth and nose with a cloth. I'll never forget the smell of the chloroform".
Toby was sickened. He feared what she was to say next. He knew Collins was capable of a lot of awful things but he was dreading to hear what happened to his friend. He backed away for a minute and activated his com "Paige and I have been called for a case" he lied. "you can cope without us for this one yeah?" Walter wasnt happy but confirmed they'd be OK, Happy swore and threatened him and Sly begged him not to leave him not to leave them with Collins but he knew he couldn't keep Paige here. He turned off his com and pulled the relieved Paige to her feet.
"We'll continue this at the Garage" he promised. "Right now I want you are far away from that monster as possible."
