I believe I owe the few that read this an apology and a thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read this but I'm sorry for taking so long to upload. I have an idea of where I want to take it but I'm not super creative to the point where I can come up with an idea or plot point on the spot. But I still love this game even if I dislike majority of the community for how politically correct they are and how they cram that into their stories. It doesn't help that because they're so politically correct it makes them even worse writers who just spam cliches and virtue signaling. Yes cliches are impossible to avoid but you can at least add an interesting twist to it. Instead you have fanfics where all the running gags are the female characters saying how useless men are. Enough about my annoyances with fanfic writers and on with my story.

Chapter 2

Frisk awoke in the comfiest bed she had ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. The sheets were the same perfect white as Neraka's coat and the mattress fit her small frame perfectly. It felt like she was swaddled in soft clouds, never wanting to leave.

Rolling over and keeping her eyes shut she fell into her memories, her times with her friends. The puns, the laughs, the food, Papyrus's inedible spaghetti or Grillby's juicy burgers. The soft fur of Asgore and Toriel, the cool metal of Undyne's armor or the smooth texture of the scales on her arms. The smell of instant noodles in Alphys laboratory, the roaring crowds at Mettaton's shows.

Balling her hands into fists and squeezing her eyes shut as hard as she could she rolled over again trying to distract herself.

Failing miserably she rolled over a third time and opened her eyes only to see Neraka crouched down next to her bed. His smiley face was on as he reached a hand out and stroked the side of her head. His visor slowly faded to black again as his hand slowed, eventually stopping altogether as he just stood there staring down at the bed frame without moving. His hand resting on the side of Frisk's cheek, Frisk's eyebrows scrunched in confusion.

Light static came from his audio projectors as he shook his head rapidly and then lifted Frisk into his arms like before. She didn't protest as she snuggled into the soft mesh where his chest should be. Burying her face in his shoulder to block out the light.

He began to walk out of whatever room he had put Frisk in, as he walked the swaying began to lull her back to sleep. Neraka looked down at her, expressionless as ever, yet the swirling instinct inside of him was becoming unbearable.

He shifted his arm that was wrapped around her side so his hand could stroke her hair. A muffled groan came from Frisk at the disturbance, yet she still found herself about to slip into unconsciousness with the comforting hand on her head, the soft mesh, and gentle swaying.

Unfortunately for her sleep wouldn't come that easy as they reached wherever Neraka had in mind just before it claimed her.

Turning her head to the side ever so slightly she squinted as the bright glaring portals nearly blinded her. When she could finally see she looked up and saw Neraka staring down at her with his smiley face on his square visor.

Burying her face in his shoulder to hide her embarrassment she finally spoke.

"Stop it" Frisks muffled voice came from his coat, indignation radiating from her. His laughter just made her try to hide herself more.

"You're cute." The audio clip was obviously stolen, the voice sounded like a humans. She hit his chest in response, laughing even more he gently crouched down trying to coax her into standing on her own.

After a few minutes of whining and complaining from Frisk he had at the least gotten her to stand on his foot while gripping his leg.

Sighing he gave up and continued what he brought her here for anyway. Lifting a hand he created a black and white portal, the two colors moved erratically wherever they touched. Walking forward as if Frisk weighed nothing yet still careful to not hurt her he stepped through into a mountain range.

The view was gorgeous, the part of the mountain they stood on was flat for the most part, almost a hundred yards behind them the ground continued to rise above, the top was blocked by the many surrounding trees. Another hundred yards ahead of them the ground began to dip down, the sides of the flat land were steep, and angled with the only way to go up and down would be with climbing gear. They were only about 15 foot drops at the highest points so it didn't jut out too much, but it made it even more fascinating to look at.

Trees were all around the flat land, yet not so much that you couldn't see the sky or the edge. One particular spot at least thirty feet wide was completely clear save for the stones that overlooked the range.

Fog covered the landscape below and the mountain bases. The tops of the mountains stood defiantly above the clouds as if daring them to try and cover them up. The fog stretched as far as the eye could see in the gaps between the mountains.

A brook ran to the left of where they stood, it was wide and shallow, the water barely a foot deep in some spots as it calmly bubbled over the smooth, eroded stones. It followed the incline going down farther and meeting up with a larger river on a lower level of rock, forming a waterfall that went out of sight.

To the right was the other river, or at least the waterfall. It was off to the side of the flat land, flowing at a sharp angle where the earth had eroded. As it went it clinged to the side of the jutted out earth before joining the smaller river.

Rectangular rocks formed a clearly man made stairway that winded farther up the mountain out of sight. While another similar one lead down to a chair placed near the waterfall.

Eyes wide Frisk dashed forward towards the brook as if she was never tired.

Neraka wasn't against the feeling that rose in his chest at the sight, but he wasn't going to foolishly fantasize.

Chuckling from his projectors he calmly walked after her, watching as she looked around in awe. She turned back to the creek and gott on her knees and leaned forward reaching an arm out to feel the water.

It was on the cold side, not freezing but far from warm enough to be comfortable in.

Neraka could practically see the lightbulb appear above her head as she sprinted across the field to the edge where the deep river was.

Tensing, Neraka teleported behind her a few feet away as she scanned the river and small ledge, seeing she'd have to get across the river to get down.

Before she could seriously consider trying to jump over the river Neraka laid a hand on her head.

"Let's not do that...come on-I'll show you-a way down."

His long strides were enough to have Frisk running to keep up. The descended the stone steps down towards where the rivers met. He gestured towards the deeper one, encouraging her to fulfill her curiosity.

She walked towards it, pausing when she reached the bank but continued and reached into the flowing water. It was colder than the creek, much colder. So cold she pulled her hand out with a quiet Yelp.

Neraka came up to her side yet again and crouched down. Instinctively putting his hand in the water despite his lack of sensory nerves. He was water proof so there was no risk of getting fried. Not to mention fire proof and bullet proof.

So many thoughts and emotions flew through him. Instincts screamed at him to do what he wanted to, make sure that he would be happy. Logic whispered in the back of his mind to be cautious. Don't do something that would in the end ruin it all. It was near impossible to ignore his innate desire, but he knew that if he wasn't careful he'd be right back where he started, and that would undo him, he was sure of it.

Due to his cybernetics he was physically superior to any living thing on earth. Not to mention superior in intelligence. His brain or "processor" as he called it-was able to file and take in information as fast as a computer. With his increased size it also meant he had a bigger head and more room for the rest of his processor. It couldn't internalize emotions-that's what his soul was for. However it did manage to work in the place of a brain to let him internalize, process, and store information.

His inner computer was running scenarios, pulling up every credible site on the internet for the particular subject he needed. While copying the articles and saving them to his memory drives.

As he took in the new information his calculations changed with every new factor he discovered.

He had lost track of how long he'd been inside his own head by the time Frisk shook his arm.

Neraka turned his head leaving it to the computer that acted as his subconscious to finish the calculations.

"Is something wrong-Frisk?" Yet another mix of stealing audio clips and his synthetic voice. She shook her head in response.

"You were staring at the water for a long time and I kept calling you." She looked up at him with concern.

"I'm alright-I was just-thinking." The response seemed to satisfy Frisk. She looked back at the creek and continued to stare for a few minutes, lost in her imagination most likely. Neraka was content to wait, making it last as long as possible was all that mattered.

Of course Frisk was a child so she was bound to have a rush of energy sometime.

She was also smarter than Neraka had assumed in the small time they knew each other.

She looked at him as he stared at the fog going around the mountains and covering the skyline. He began to slowly turn towards her, staring at the surroundings before zeroing in on her. He stared for a solid few minutes before turning agonizingly slow to look the other way.

Once Frisk was satisfied she was out of sight she slowly stood up and began to tip toe towards the tree line, not wanting to risk the steps she climbed up the steeper grass hill. Once she'd reached the tree line she ducked behind the nearest tree and ran deeper into the forest.

Neraka looked ahead content for the first time in over a decade. But when he turned to look at Frisk he immediately panicked while rushing power to his entire body.

Too much power.

The influx of energy caused his soul to shudder as he silently stayed in agony. The ache would last for hours if not more but the splitting pain began to fade.

She couldn't be in danger? After all he personally regulated the environment of this paradise and there was only a handful of animals in this part of the mountain. She must have ran off, she obviously didn't realize he didn't follow her and was just playing in the woods.

Right?

Standing up he walked up the steps still composed even as he reached the top. Looking around he could tell she had gone much farther than he originally thought. Going to a speed walk he scanned the trees repeatedly, nothing noticeable.

He hadn't introduced her to his pets, he had created them to be aggressive to anyone who they didn't recognize. Surely she hadn't run into them right?

His soul and processor had a very strange relationship. One was a pure magical symbol of his life and consciousness. Making up his personality, while his processor, well no real "monster" had any type of brain. So when you gave them one, it tended to cause excess of their personality in one way or another. So it multiplied Neraka's sense of cynicism and anger, making him a volatile and incredibly dangerous bomb just waiting for someone to push him too far.

This is also why Mettaton was so excessive with everything he did. He'd always been eccentric and destined to performer as a ghost and monster. But combining that soul with a machine just intensified it far beyond any natural born passion.

However this also made emotion and borderline robotic logical thinking clash.

A lot.

Neraka refused to become some machine, still desperately clinging to his sanity and his emotion, which made him a "living" being. However he also saw the value in having a computer at instant access. So he would fight with his processor and soul, his emotions and logical impulses constantly gave him a headache as they fought to become the dominant thought process.

His headache only grew worse the longer he searched. It left him indecisive, refusing to act like a robot and pretend Frisk was just another variable, but not wanting to spiral into a panic because he was too afraid.

Grabbing his head as if pressure would do anything for the pain he stopped. His visor flashing white for a moment before he stiffened completely. Refusing to move and unable to anyway. An image of a tall dark creature with a perfect sphere for a head came to mind. Another had a humanoid robot with it's chest violently torn open. Unable to see if there was a soul in the gaping hole did nothing to ease his paranoia.

That was when the shout that would change his life rang out and Frisk dropped onto him. His hands had fallen to his sides once the vision started.

She landed on his back, while trying desperately to wrap her arms around his neck or shoulders. Her knees squeezed the middle of his torso, she began giggling once she found her grip.

Oh

Realization came down like gravity. He had been fooled, he got played by an 11 year old. He wasn't sure how to feel about that.

Very confusing indeed.

"Do you want to play hide and seek?" He still was surprised that she wasn't even slightly disturbed in anyway over his synthetic voice. Either way she nodded fervently and his smiley face appeared.

"Before we do-I'd like for you to meet some friends of mine." Instantly curious she agreed, with her getting a piggyback ride he strode through the woods. Reaching the clearing he stood in the center, a sound wave model appeared on his visor. One end began to spike erratically despite everything still remaining silent. A howl met the silent call a few seconds later.

Flapping wings were heard, a white blur flew in a circle around the edge of the clearing before landing on a particularly long branch. Two eerily wide crystal blue eyes stared down at the dark blue eyes of Frisk and the blank mask of Neraka. Stark White feathers with black spots contrasted sharply against the brown and green surroundings, the snow owl certainly stood out among its surroundings.

Foot steps followed as six wolves appeared in a group. They too were stark white, each with black dots and streaks erratically placed on their fur, but they all had different eye colors. Blue, green, orange, red, purple, and yellow all stared collectively at the unfamiliar little girl on their creators and master's back.

Neraka bent his arms unnaturally far behind him, gently grabbing Frisk and lifting her over his head, bringing her to his chest and shoulder. She sat on his forearm while his other arm held her side keeping her up right.

"This is Frisk, she is a friend. You are to treat her like you do me. If I am not here you are to keep her entertained and keep her safe." Again he spoke in his own synthetic voice, the wolves not seeming even a little bit intimidated by the robot monster.

They all looked to Frisk, as cool as the all were she still shrunk under their gaze, her shyness making an appearance. The smiley face appeared once again and the animals took notice. They all sat back on their haunches, their tongues coming out as they began to pant.

Neraka was smart enough to know what was about to happen. Placing Frisk down, he watched as she timidly walked forward, the wolves slowly approached her.

When they were within arms reach Frisk took a step back, nervously looking to Neraka for help, before snapping her head around towards the wolves.

Neraka couldn't help but chuckle at her nervousness. Walking forward he gently grasped Frisk's hand in his own, then taking his other hand he gently placed it on the head of the closest wolf. The wolf closed his eyes and wagged his tail as his master stroked his fur.

Frisk in awe at the sight let Neraka guide her hand to the wolf's head. It was already panting but now it's tail wagged and it leaned into Frisk's touch.

A wide smile stretched across Frisk's face, before she began to scratch the wolf a bit harder, which caused its leg to twitch. As soon as she stopped the wolf began to lick her, Frisk just giggled. She laughed even harder when the rest of the wolves began to lick her as well creating a literal dog pile. All competing for their newest master and playmate's attention.

The snow owl just stared on at the display of immediate affection. Instead deciding to fly over to Neraka and land on his left shoulder, it's wicked sharp talons not even scratching the polished titanium of Neraka's armor.

Eventually the dogs got off of Frisk allowing her to stand up, her skin shining with spit.

"Eeeeewwwww!" She wined out pitifully. Neraka just smiled, lifting his hand with a towel that she swore wasn't there a second ago. After enough time Frisk's skin was dry.

"Thank you!" She went and hugged Neraka's legs as tight as she could, he picked her up. Holding her on his right arm letting the snow owl look almost level with her. It's wide gaze slightly perturbed her, but after her experience with the wolves she reached an arm out slowly towards the owl.

It's large beady eyes stared at her hand, as if waiting for her to do something. Before gently bumping its beak against her fingers. Frisk smiled wide, and gently stroked its head, the bird turned its head so Frisk could scratch its neck.

r

"What's his name?" Frisk continued to scratch the side of the owls neck. A soft cooing vibrated from the pale feathered bird.

"I actually never-named him. You can-name him-if you'd like to."

Her eyes shined with excitement at the offer.

Neraka analyzed the way her eyes lightly squinted and how her lips gently pressed against each other.

"I can't think of anything, I'm sorry." The disappointment was evident on her face.

"You don't have to apologize-if you'd like-I can name him?" Two little dots stared at her from his visor waiting expectantly.

A nod was her response.

"What do you think of-Phobos-Frisk?"

The exotic name visibly appealed to her childish nature. She nodded her head vigorously.

"Phobos-it is, Phobos-is to act-like an extension-of me, if-Phobos-is with you-then I-can see you."

"That's so cool!"

"I know right!" His posture remained the same but the audio clip he used sounded excited.

"Well-Frisk-now that I've-introduced you to-this-pocket-dimension-would you like to-go home?"

Frisk considered it for a minute before shaking her head.

"This place isn't eerie like the portal place, and I wanna hang out with you!" Her excitement seemed to be limitless as the endless fun she could have with him raced through her mind.

He could feel her eagerness and he didn't even need his magic to tell anyway.

He'd always been good with kids.

"Well-Frisk-Lets return to the-Cross roads-And then we'll-See if we can-Have some fun."

'While I try and find a way out for you.'

Having scanned her already when she first arrived and then again while she slept he tried to calculate what ring her dimension was from and then the exact dimension. So far all he had deduced by her brain waves and hormone patterns was that whatever ring she was from was beyond his reach. It was a problem with it being so far away.

Maybe even at the very farthest ring itself.

For now, he'd have to do scans on a regular basis to see if what he'd already gathered was consistent. Chart it, compare, deduce, then find a way to that dimension.

If she was truly that pure hearted and would stay so even as an adult then there was no doubt where she was from. It was wonderful to meet someone from there again, but while he hoped she was a good person, he also hoped she was just gonna change and darken like every child when she reached adulthood.

If she did then he'd be able to oversee everything and make sure she got out. Personally.

There was a distinct lack of objective now. Zach had no goal but further examine Frisk's personality and find her dimension based on that. But that would be time consuming, not to mention Zach now had to be her caretaker until he freed her.

This was going to take a while wasn't it.

Can words even describe how sorry I am for taking this long to write this. I've had 90 percent of this finished for over two or three months now. But I've been writing entire chapters further on in the series and in this books sequel so I haven't been 100 percent idle. Just 90 percent. I recently gained a huge spur of determination to finish this after re reading my old fanfic this is based on called Dimensional Trauma. On that note I hope you enjoy this story Alexxavior because you said you looked forward to reading this. And with how people praised my old story and said it was fantastic I can only imagine how much they'll love this with how much I've improved at writing and pacing. Sorry if I sound cocky but I'm quite confident I've improved and I make these stories for other people's enjoyment so them praising it is indescribably gratifying. Until next chapter this has been Kosmo.
