Den
Shadow walked into the room Randy was staying in, finding it slightly askew. Clothes were on the floor, the small bar had used glasses on the counter, and overall it looked like Randy's clothes didn't fit.
Shadow sighed, lucky he only found Randy a mess and not dead.
"Listen," Shadow started, putting a hand on Randy's shoulder. "I'm here to take you home, I'm with your sister right now and-."
Randy jerked away from him, stumbling with the action and falling into a sit on the bed. "You have to leave. I told her I was fine, why would she…neither of y'all can be here." the squirrel said, running a hand through unkempt hair.
The longer Shadow looked, the more he realized how bedraggled the man looked. Like he had gotten into a scuffle beforehand. Maybe he had, Von Barke was known to send messages through physical force than anything.
Shadow clicked his tongue, going over to Randy. He was mumbling to himself, his voice cracking as he looked up at the detective.
"We're getting you out of here whether you like it or not. Don't you want to go back to your wife and children?"
"More than anythin'. But, I owe Von Barke. You don't–."
"I owed that man my life once," Shadow interrupted, shaking his head. He was young and foolish too. "Now, are you coming or not?"
Randy looked at Shadow for a moment longer. He was quiet as he packed what little he had, following Shadow to his and Sandy's room.
He wanted his family back.
