Meanwhile….
Anna receives a call, "Anna Devane. Yes, are you sure? There are two? No, I'm closer to the PCPD, you head to General Hospital. Clear as many people as you can and find it. The WSB has been training you for years, I can't do both. I'll warn Sonny myself, I don't think this would be the right time to hear your voice. GH is all yours.
Anna rushes into the PCPD to warn Mac and everyone else, while her colleague makes it to General Hospital.
By this time Jason and Elizabeth have made it to Peter's coordinates where they find Cameron….
Cameron has a gun pointed at Peter, Peter is using Spinelli as a shield, and Maxie is lying on a couch holding onto her belly, almost as if she is trying to protect her daughter.
"Thank God, Elizabeth. Your son is out of his mind telling me I killed Franco when we all know it was Jason."
By now Jason has his gun aimed at Peter. Elizabeth responds, "Cameron please give me the gun. "Peter won't shoot you or Spinelli." He lets it fall to the floor. She holds him as he is crying." "He killed Franco, mom". "I know honey", but Peter will be held accountable."
Spinelli says, "I'm sorry Stone Cold. I ditched Sam and had to rescue Maxie."
"Are you okay Spinelli?"Jason asks.
"Of course he's not okay! Peter could kill him!" Maxie yells.
Peter says, "I'm only holding Spinelli because Cameron would have killed me, but now it's Jason's turn. Convince Jason to put down his gun & I will let Spinelli go and Maxie & I will disappear forever. Don't listen to Jason. He was arrested for killing Franco and he was supposed to be in jail."
Elizabeth plays the recording of Peter's confession. Peter starts laughing, "well, I guess the cat is out of the bag. Yes, I killed Franco, but only to protect our daughter Maxie. Franco would have ruined everything. I promise you, once we leave Port Charles everything will be better."
Maxie says, "you freak, to think I'd go anywhere with you after what you did to Jason and Drew and now you've confessed to killing Franco? You are threatening Spinelli."
Peter turns to Elizabeth aims his gun towards her and Cameron, while still holding firmly onto Spinelli. "So Jason, who do I shoot first? Your best friend? The mother of your bastard child or her other bastard child? Elizabeth, you really shouldn't procreate." Cameron tries to rush Peter and Elizabeth holds him back and steps in front of him. "Jason, you were meant to be dead soon, but someone got you out of lockup, but all is not lost. Everyone who poisoned Maxie against me will pay and in return, I offered to help a new friend out of his situation with you Jason, which means, you are my problem now."
"What do you mean Peter?" Elizabeth asks, after bristling with his comments about her and her children.
Peter explains "there are people currently at the PCPD who maligned me. Aunt Alex, Robert Scorpio, Dante, and if I'm lucky, Scott Baldwin, who will surely come after me if he believes in your innocence Jason. A bomb is set to go off and soon after there's one at General Hospital. A board and senior staff meeting are about to happen and if one bomb is found the other will go off and I doubt anyone can diffuse two bombs at the same time."
Elizabeth is crying. Her second family is at GH and Nikolas is on the board. "Who? Who is worth killing over at General Hospital?", as she chokes back more tears.
"Well," Peter replies as he shifts his gun over to Spinelli, "there's Valentine who helped to expose me, my deceiving sister Britt, her mother Obrecht who also had it in her to poison you against me Maxie, and I had to tie up loose ends, my soon-to-be ex-partner Cyrus."
Chase is in Finn's office and Finn tells him he got a second DNA test from Mercy, but he would let him open it if he decides to. "I have a staff meeting to get to, but I'll be here if you still need to talk." Nikolas has arrived, along with top staff and board members. Ava waits outside and Terry is down on the 5th floor talking with Epiphany.
Elizabeth asks, "what about everyone else? Not everyone there is against you."
Peter replies, "ask Jason, sometimes there are casualties"
Elizabeth retorts, "he would never do something like that!"
Meanwhile….
Anna arrived at the PCPD and told Mac they need to evacuate the PCPD immediately, somewhere there is a bomb! She will find the bomb and he and Dante can get everyone out. Mac protests, Anna asks, "do you know how to diffuse a bomb? No?, I didn't think so, but if Robert is here, I could use him." Mac finds Robert and tells him Anna needs him and then he searches for Dante and asks him to assist in getting everyone out. Along the way, Mac encounters Scott and fills him in. Scott is furiously looking through all the cells looking for Jason.
"Where the hell is he?"
"Who?" responds Mac.
"Morgan! Jason Morgan!"
Mac replies, "I'm sorry to say, but he's made bail."
"I don't believe you. You are hiding him somewhere" and he takes off.
By this time Anna has found the bomb and Robert arrives to assist her. She informs him a second bomb is set to go off somewhere in General Hospital, but not to worry, their man is already on-site at GH. Dante finds them and says almost everyone is out, including the prisoners. Robert looks at Anna and says, "Luv, there isn't enough time. We have to go and hope he is more successful at GH." They rush out and Dante hears a clicking noise (the tick-tick-tick from the bomb) and stops.
Anna turns around and Scott is right behind Dante shoving him out the door right before there is a huge explosion. Dante is thrown to the ground from the blast, but Scott did not make it out. Anna makes a few phone calls, but no calls are getting through at GH. She calls Mercy, Dante may not have enough time to wait if GH has not been cleared. Mac appears unharmed, with just a few cuts and bruises. Mac takes a deep breath and knows Scott may not be high on everyone's favorite list, there are a few people who should know before the news reports it. On the 2nd ring Laura answers the phone. "Laura, this is Mac. I'm sorry but I have some terrible news. Scott Baldwin was killed in a bomb blast a few minutes ago. Is Elizabeth with you? I've tried calling her cell, but it goes straight to voicemail."
Laura replies choking back tears, "no..no..no, she wanted some time to herself after Franco's memorial. Scotty said he would check on her once Cameron got back from being with his friends. Are you sure it's him?"
Mac says "unfortunately yes, I was going to call Bobbie, but maybe it would be better coming from you. (pause) yes, good. Also, have you heard from Kevin? Anna said there is another bomb threat at General Hospital." Mac hears the sound of a click, Laura hung up the phone. "Hi, sweetheart, something is going on at GH, but they won't let me in and there is a bomb squad truck outside. Several people have been evacuated, but I'm told a few floors haven't been cleared yet. (pause) what's the matter, why are you crying? Bobbie? Yes, I think I saw her a minute ago. Talk to me, Laura. (pause) Scotty? Are you sure?"
Laura replies, "Yes, I'm sure. Mac called to tell me and said there is an active threat at GH, but if you are outside, please come home. I need you. (pause) No, I understand, you should be there if people need you. Can you find Bobbie for me? She needs to know about Scotty before someone blindsides her. (pause), okay, thanks. I love you too. Come home as soon as you can."
Kevin found Bobbie and told her Laura needs to talk to her. "Laura, how is Elizabeth? Scotty mentioned Jake and Adien are staying with you for the night. What's the matter? Are you okay?"
"Bobbie, I am so sorry but Mac called me a few moments ago. Scotty was at the PCPD and a bomb went off and Mac says he didn't make it. (pause) no, I'm so, so sorry, but that is all he would tell me. I know there is a threat at GH, but I am so glad you aren't inside. Lesley is with me and as Mayor, I need to be there. I'll see you soon." Laura informs her mother and asks her to look after the boys, keep the TV off and she will check in when she can. "If Elizabeth or Cameron calls tell them to come here instead."
Laura drives to General Hospital.
