Kit Voss found herself in a rarified state both physically satisfied and spiritually content. She was lying naked in Randolph's arms idly playing with his surgeon's fingers that rested intertwined with hers on his chest. Dinner was lovely and she was correct, after returning home they'd barely made it through her front door before they were lunging for each other both intent on making up for lost time.

No he hadn't taken up her up against the wall, so not necessary when her kitchen counter proved be just the right the height. And convenient too, since she made him pause their ministrations so she could make a trip to fridge and put the dessert that Jake had insisted they take with them away. She chuckled thinking about how they'd realized afterwords that she'd left her windows open that morning and the neighbors, who'd expanded their home extremely close to her side yard most likely got an earful of rather exuberant moans and excited shouts. Neither one of them had ever been particularly quiet when it came to letting the other know just how good they were feeling. They'd raced up to her bedroom half-dressed, giggling, Randolph tripping on the stairs since he hadn't bothered to pull his pants back up all the way. She chuckled out loud at the image.

Randolph's lips found her forehead before she heard his relaxed voice, "What are you thinking about?"

"Oh just us and how ridiculous we are." They were making a habit of christening different rooms in her house and then coming back to her bedroom to strip each other naked to cuddle which sometimes lead to round two, but night's like tonight most often consisted of whispered conversations where they drifted off to sleep content in each other's arms. Kit leaned up to give him a sweet kiss before he could take offense and continued. "I thought tonight went well."

"Yes, you were very vocal in your enthusiasm." Kit's free hand landed on Randolph's chest..hard, and he let out an amused oomph. Then rolled her under him to keep her from getting in another shot.

"I meant dinner, you hardly put your foot in it at all." The smirk on her face letting him know that even though he had her pinned she was still the one in control. "But, yes after went quite well too." One of Kit's hands came up to trace his face, "I've missed this." They both leaned in for a passionate kiss.

"Mmmm…I agree on both counts. " And because she had feigned a look of shock that he was agreeing with her he added, "By the way earlier that wasn't my foot that I put in…"

"Oh you're terrible! See ridiculous! You are a ridiculous man!" Kit cut him off before he could finish his sentence and rolled him over so she now had him pinned. The look of adoration on his smiling face stopped her from giving him any more grief. Randolph Bell truly happy was a sight to behold. She settled back into her previous position flopping on her back and bringing her head to rest on his chest so that they were both looking up at the ceiling. "Well, maybe if we remove all our clothes before the main event next time, they'll be no confusion."

She felt his rumble of laughter without having to turn her head to look at his face and both of his arms squeezed her in a contented hug.

"So Jake and Gregg are among the first to know we're together, together. How long before it gets around Chastain?" He seemed anxious asking the question and Kit again linked her fingers with his.

"How do I hear more scuttlebutt than you? That hospital has assumed we were together for longer than we actually were. Nobody's that excited about it anymore. For some reason it was way more scandalous when you were the CEO, probably because you were a bit of a bastard." Randolph could only chuckle and once again bring his lips to her forehead. Kit Voss was a bad ass and damn fine CEO. He was finally ok admitting he had not been either.

"Besides Molly brought Derek in last week for a check-up, and if she can keep it to herself I think we can count on Jake to be just as discreet." And after a brief pause Kit started to laugh and it erupted into a genuine guffaw.

"I keep telling you it's not funny!"

"Only because you couldn't see both of your faces at the same time." Kit rolled on her side and threw her upper leg over his torso to keep him from bolting as he was clearly reliving his genuine embarrassment, but it was probably way past time they talked about this particular incident.

Kit controlled her laughter and continued, "It was her fault for coming over here at 7 in the morning because her babysitter had bailed. It was just incredible timing that you happened to hit the stairs in your boxers declaring 'Woman, I satisfied your needs last night, you need to satisfy my belly this morning.' How many times have I told you to reign in that ego." Kit's eyes danced, and laughter threatened to bubble over again until he rolled to face her, keeping a hand on her thigh so it was still thrown over his hip. Kit caught her breath at their new intimate contact and attempted to ignore how her heart began to race, thankful the room was dark because she was sure her chest had turned red with a flush of excitement.

It was Randolph's turn to chuckle at Kit's response. "I think Molly knew I was mostly joking, and at least Josie had headphones on. I did manage to tie up my robe before she ducked her little head in the house." He lowered his forehead onto Kit's so they were touching. Although she couldn't see the tension on his face she could feel it through her body as he asked the next question, "So…what did you say to Molly about us?"

Kit pulled back and brought one hand up to lift his chin, making sure they made eye contact and that he was really listening before she answered. Oh this dear man, "She knows you're no flavor of the week. I told her how we talked ad nauseam about all the possibilities before we launched into this physical side of our relationship." This time Kit's eye roll was for his benefit and she followed it was a quick brush of her lips against his. "She knows we're making a go of it, you know trying for the long haul. I even asked her how she felt about Josie calling you Gramps."

Randolph chuckled at that, Kit was determined to make that nickname stick. "Well at least I've snuck Josie enough ice cream to know the kid is on my side." They were both laughing as he rolled onto his back pulling Kit with him so she was balanced on his legs above him.

His hands framed her face and he moved to sit up so he could claim her lips before whispering, "And I think I do a damn good job of satisfying your needs, ego or no ego." And then his lips traveled a path down her neck and onto her chest.

"Mmm, yes," was Kit's breathy response as she felt his hands ghost down her back and squeeze her bare bottom.

It looked like round two was on for tonight after all.
