A/N: In case you were wondering, this story is loosely inspired by one of my favorite childhood games, Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal, as well as the cartoons it was based on. Looney Tunes won't be featured or focused in this story, since this will be a Disney-oriented reaction story for the Franchouchou gang.

Episode 2
A Sleeping Tale

After the girls had finished watching The Little Mermaid, Saki had chosen the next movie for the seven zombie girls (including herself) to watch for the day, being the movie Sleeping Beauty.

"I've seen this film before, and it was fantastic. Literally. I'm not much into the medieval subject of films, but I'm sure as hell gonna enjoy it like the first time I saw it.", Saki hoped.

Sakura said, "Well, I don't see why we can't watch it. After this, however, we're getting lunch. Then maybe another movie. I'm sure Kotaro won't mind."

"It's the weekend, so surely he'll be fine with it.", the blonde biker shrugged.

Lily asked, "Hey, I've heard you can create profiles on this account."

"Yeah, it said online that Disney+ can create up to 7 profiles in a single account. People can watch up to 4 screens at a time.", Ai told.

Junko amazed, "Wow! Really?"

"That sounds useful. I bet we can make our profiles right now on this service if we like.", Yugiri said.

Tae moaned in agreement.

Sakura said, "Great! We'll start right now! Then we'll get to Sleeping Beauty."

And so, the seven of them began to make their profiles on the streaming service account as they put their names on their profiles and chose character pictures for their respective profiles. Sakura chose Elsa, Saki chose Iron Man, Lily chooses Winnie the Pooh, Yugiri chooses Mulan, Ai chooses the Mandalorian, Junko chose Ariel, and Tae chose Neytiri from Avatar randomly.

"Looks like these characters look sweet!", Junko told.

Yugiri said, "I chose Mulan because it reminds me of the Meiji era. Different nationality, but close enough."

"I even picked Winnie the Pooh as my profile pic because I loved seeing it!", Lily giggled.

Tae looked at her profile pic and moaned, meaning that she randomly elected it because she thought it looks like a good character for her.

Saki said, "I still can't believe Disney can afford all these properties. They're like the biggest company of all time!"

"And that's great!", Ai said, "What the future holds is a bright one for The Walt Disney Company."

Sakura said, "The girl I chose seems to be perfect. Well, these movies the characters are from probably won't be on our watchlist for now, so let's start with Sleeping Beauty."

"Let's do it on Saki's account!", Junko thought.

Yugiri says, "We hope this next one is good..."

"Just a minute!", prepared Saki before giving Ai a piggyback ride like on horseback and said, "CHARGE!", as the two charge and help set up the film, taking their seats with the other five once Saki lets Ai back down.

Act I
The Briar Rose Curse

Opening/Prologue

"I'm so surprised by the aspect ratio...", said Yugiri, "The last film we've seen was fullscreen. I've always wondered what this is."

Sakura told, "From what I've heard, it is widescreen. Back in the day, they've used CinemaScope for wider aspect ratios."

"I've also learnt they use wider aspect ratios in some films to show off the epic scale and panoramic display that people seen when it first came out.", Junko told.

Saki told, "No wonder. I hear IMAX nowadays has films expanding to fuller image, while older films tend to be shot in wider image. It's actually pretty rad just thinking about it..."

"No matter the image ratio, the power of cinema still reigns.", Lily taught.

Ai said, "Imagine seeing this for the first time... It's incredible."

"Plus, the animation is revolutionary. Colors and all.", Yugiri complimented, "I wonder how it would be like in the Meiji era."

Saki rolled her eyes, "Pretty anachronistic, but we can only imagine."

The prologue is then shown with a storybook narration before the movie's opening sequence had many peasants and people of royalty, including knights and representatives from other kingdoms coming to the christening.

"Wow...", Junko and Yugiri amazed, "Look at all the colors. And the people..."

Lily chuckles, "The music too."

Tae delightfully moaned and swayed to the music.

"Disney really has a lot of hard home runs back in its days, didn't it?", believed Ai.

Sakura heartwarmingly said, "To think Disney had animation like this...even the medieval era looks beautiful."

"Damn right it is. Even the medieval era included knights, princesses, and dragons.", Saki dreamt, "One could dream of a fantasy like that...", before blushing as she imagined Sakura as a princess.

The redhead asked, "Saki?", snapping the blonde out of her imaginary trance.

"Sorry, princess. Got lost in translation for a moment there-", the Dorami biker said before she covered her mouth after realizing what she just said.

Sakura was surprised by those words, before asking, "Wow, Saki. That's one of the few times you said something to me besides egghead or my name..."

"It slipped out, okay!", denied Saki, "That wasn't what I planned to say!"

Lily said, "Pipe down a bit, please. The story's getting interesting!"

Flora, Fauna and Merryweather arrive

"Fairies!", the young light-blue-haired idol smiled when the fairies arrive at the kingdom for the christening.

Yugiri giggled, "Magical!"

"They're one of the best trios in Disney history ever!", said Lily in happiness.

"Oh, yes!", Junko rubbed her hands together, "This is gonna be good!"

Tae was happy nevertheless.

Ai said when they saw Flora and Fauna bestow their gifts unto the christened daughter of the king and queen named Aurora, "I bet this film was breathtaking back then. The assortment of colors and the dazzling display seem to work its magic literally! I think I've seen a bit of 2001: A Space Odyssey one time and it seems like a few effects here are quite similar..."

"Well, duh! That film is as old as this one, being almost a decade older than this!", Saki proved, "But overall, I still admit it was impressive."

Sakura nodded, "Same here. We're already starting to love it!"

Maleficent's intrusion

"Oh, what now?!", Saki angered as Merryweather's bestowing gift was interrupted in the film.

Ai sighed, "Just when we thought things could get lovelier..."

"What villain could it be this time?", Yugiri said.

The seven girls then saw the introduction of the movie's mistress of evil, Maleficent.

"Maleficent... That doesn't sound like a good name at all!", Junko uneased.

Lily said, "What's she doing here on that important day?"

"What if she's there to sabotage the princess once again?", Sakura asked.

Saki rests her arms, "She better not."

Maleficent bestows the deathly curse onto Aurora

"She can't do that!", the blonde biker girl reacted, "Pricking her finger on a spindle and then dying? That sounds dark!"

Sakura remarked, "That doesn't sound good!"

"That master plan is even worse than Ursula's!", Ai exasperated.

Merryweather bestows her gift on Aurora to break Maleficent's curse with true love's kiss

Junko says, "Ah, now they're talking."

"True love's kiss...", pondered Lily.

Yugiri said, "Who could it be?"

"I presume it's her prince charming that will do it. My best guess.", Saki sarcastically said.

Sakura thought, "We haven't saw him yet..."

"Now I'm pretty sure all the spinning wheels and spindles are destroyed...", Ai assumes.

16 Years Later since Aurora was raised by Flora, Fauna and Merryweather as Briar Rose in the forest

"My, what a quaint little cottage.", sighed Saki as they saw the cottage in the film and then seeing Aurora for the first time, "And introducing our pretty princess."

The slate black-blue-haired girl admitted, "Well, Aurora does look lovely in this film. Can't argue with that."

Prince Phillip's entry

"Here comes the prince on his noble steed...", the Dorami rebel joked.

Sakura said, "I assume he must be Aurora's true love."

"Briar, the fairies had named her. For now.", Junko corrected.

Ai acknowledged, "Not to mention Briar's beautiful singing though..."

"And the music...it's as grander as The Little Mermaid!", Yugiri elated.

Lily said, "No kidding. I honestly never seen this movie but I've heard about it in stories..."

Tae felt bliss when listening to the music.

Once Upon A Dream

"Ahh... This must have been Oscar-nominated too, right? Because this sounds beautiful. Yet I've seen it already but I am obliged to relive the happy memories this movie brought upon.", Saki said.

Ai checked, "Unfortunately, no. It has been nominated for Score, but that's about it. It was actually the same year that Ben-Hur became one of the few films with the most Oscar wins, besides Titanic and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King..."

"Titanic?! The romantic disaster flick? I've never saw that film. I know I'm not into love stories, but...that film won Oscars?!", the blonde biker surprised.

The former Iron Frill idol also adds, "Yes, including Best Picture. It became the first film to make a billion dollars at the box office worldwide. Nowadays due to a re-release, they made over two billion already."

"TWO BILLION DOLLARS?", Junko shocked.

Saki's jaw drops, "Shut up! No wonder that film was so popular!"

"Yeah, just as much as The Return of the King.", Ai thought.

Lily reminded, "Guys! The prince came!", as they saw the part where Phillip joins Briar in singing Once Upon a Dream.

"So romantic...", infatuated Sakura.

Tae hums to the music as they saw Briar and Phillip waltz to the climax of the song.

Flora, Fauna and Merryweather use magic to help prepare Briar's birthday surprise

"Well, you know what they say. When the going gets tough, the tough get going.", Yugiri said.

Lily asked, "Don't you mean taking the easy way out? Not saying about the figure of speech for the lively circumstances of it all, but meaning to take things less difficult."

"Exactly.", the courtesan told.

Tae moaned dumbfoudingly as she watched the sequence.

Briar is told the truth

As they saw Aurora sing Once Upon a Dream happily when she came back, Saki said, "Here we go again. Ariel sang Part of Your World when he came back to Atlantica, and now this!"

"You say that like it's a bad thing.", Junko said to the blonde.

The Dorami rebel explained, "I'm not saying it is. But...it reminds us. I get it that princesses would sing and swoon their reprises and dream about their prince charmings and all, but what's not to like about it?"

"You do make a point. I'm actually impressed you're not against Disney films.", Ai says, "Seeing how some of us saw Disney movies once in our pasts."

Junko said, "Well, I never saw the films that happened after I died, but I do remember this one."

"I died way before the films came to realization.", Yugiri said, "But honestly, I love these films."

Sakura said, "Regardless, we shouldn't tell any spoilers so that we wouldn't ruin our experience."

"Guys?", Lily uneases as the girls then saw Flora, Fauna and Merryweather break the news to Briar that she was actually the princess Aurora who is betrothed to Phillip, which caused her to be heartbroken and saddened by the revelation.

Sakura cried, "Oh no..."

"Now they done it.", Saki groaned.

Yugiri saddens, "I feel bad for Aurora."

"It's her sixteenth birthday... But the curse...", worried Lily.

Ai doubts, "And what about the curse? Shouldn't they wait until the next morning?"

"I don't know. I hope Aurora doesn't have the fate that's coming to her...", Junko feared.

Act II
Malice of Maleficent

Flora, Fauna and Merryweather bring Aurora to her room back to her home kingdom

Saki joked, "Behold! She is the descendant of the Great King Stefan!", during this part after the fairies had taken Aurora back to the kingdom without anyone knowing.

Tae was surprised by Saki's remark.

"Aurora looks miserable... She is a princess, what's wrong with that?", Sakura asked.

Ai theorizes, "It's probably because she really wanted to meet Phillip on their special date."

"And it seems to be a lot to take in.", Junko demonstrated.

Yugiri exampled, "It's like if you're given the news that you are part of royalty without even knowing it."

"I could imagine what that's like...but why feel miserable about it? It actually has the perks of luxury."

Saki added, "Plus, she has to be grateful that she's betrothed. And she doesn't know it's Phillip!"

"That's one thing. But he's unaware that she went back to the kingdom.", presumed Ai.

Aurora's curse comes into play

"Oh, no... The curse!", Ai and Junko gasped.

Sakura fears, "It can't be!"

"Please don't listen to Maleficent!", Lily shouted.

Yugiri says, "The fairies' gotta do something!"

"I hope her time isn't up!", Saki hopes, before warning, "Step away from the green light!"

Tae supported, "Raargh argh, Arara!", worried for Aurora in the film.

Aurora pricks her finger

Sakura screamed, "NO!"

"AURORA!", Lily and Yugiri said.

Ai and Junko doubts, "She did it..."

Tae groans, "Arrgh?!", as she was shocked to see Aurora prick her finger before the three fairies came too late to see Maleficent, who shows Aurora's unconscious corpse before disappearing.

"...You're despicable.", Saki said to Maleficent in the film.

Flora, Fauna and Merryweather put the entire kingdom to sleep

Lily started sobbing, not just because of the music that played in this scene, but the facts that Aurora was now in a deep sleep that true love's kiss would only break the spell, and that the fairies put the whole kingdom to sleep to make sure they don't find out about what happened to Aurora, oblivious that they think her curse was averted and they were celebrating at the time.

Yugiri nevertheless comforted her.

Tae couldn't help but cry to this while moaning in sadness.

"No...", Junko saddens.

Ai cried, "She would appear to be in slumber."

"Now they're all asleep...", Sakura sorrows.

Saki comforted, "I'm sure Phillip's gonna fix this."

Phillip is ambushed at the cottage

"Yikes!", the blonde biker exasperated as the seven jolted after seeing Maleficent's goons suddenly ambushed Phillip when he entered the cottage, with Maleficent present to capture him.

Lily's heart popped out of her body, "Geez!"

"Phillip is captured now?! What is with this Maleficent?", Yugiri surprised.

Sakura doubts, "I don't like where this is going!"

"Now what are the fairies gonna do?", Ai says.

Junko said, "Now they have to rescue Phillip."

Tae looked interested by the minute as the movie went along.

The fairies sneak into the Forbidden Mountain

"What are those guys doing? Celebrating, or is it a ritual?", Saki said during this scene and when they watch Maleficent's goons celebrate around a big green bonfire in the fortress' throne room.

Ai said, "I think they're celebrating."

"On the other hand, the fairies must get Phillip out of there!", Junko said.

Sakura hopes, "Let's hope they aren't too late!"

Maleficent explains her plan to Phillip in the dungeon

Sakura gulped, "This isn't good at all..."

"That's her grand plan? Keep Phillip there until he is of old age to the verge of death? Slow week for Maleficent, isn't it?", Saki glared.

Yugiri thought, "Is she serious?"

"She already got her curse done, why does she have to take drastic measures?", Lily asks.

Ai facepalmed, "I think that plan was darker than it looks and sounds. If he dies, Aurora will never wake up!"

"Certain doom... I hate it when things get dark!", said Junko.

The fairies free Phillip from the dungeon

Saki slapped her knee, "There ya go!"

"Looks like Maleficent's dark plan doesn't seem foolproof after all.", Yugiri proves.

Lily pointed at the screen, "Look! The Shield of Virtue and the Sword of Truth! Those are great weapons of choice!"

"You know what that sorta reminds me of? Either The Phantom Tollbooth or Schoolhouse Rock with its choices of ingenious grammar.", reminded Ai.

Junko questioned her friend, "You've seen them?"

"Once.", the slate black-blue-haired girl told her.

Sakura smiled, "At least Phillip is free. He would've been a goner for good if they didn't show up..."

Escaping the Forbidden Mountain

"Anyone for tennis?", gulped Saki as Maleficent's pet crow Diaval in the film sees the heroes escaping and alerts Maleficent's goons, chasing them.

Sakura remarked, "Get out of there, Phillip!"

"Rocks!", alerted Ai before they saw Flora turn the falling rocks into bubbles, "Ah, bubbles!"

Junko gasped, "Arrows!", before the seven watch Flora turn the oncoming arrows into flowers, "Ah, flowers!"

"They've freed his steed! Now go!", Lily and Yugiri noticed after seeing the fairies free Phillip's horse Samson as they head off.

Ai and Junko alert, "Boiling oil!", but not before Flora casting a spell that conjures a rainbow that prevents the oil from blocking the exit, "A rainbow!"

Saki impressed, "Good magic does come in handy in a time like this! They must be lifesavers!", after seeing this.

"That is how you do that.", Ai agreed and nods when they saw Merryweather chase and petrify Diaval.

Jumping off the drawbridge

"Whoa!", Sakura astonished as the fairies help Philip leap across the drawbridge and escaping the fortress, "Their magic is amazing!"

Yugiri galvanizes, "That's why their magic is deathproof and dynamizing."

"Incredible too!", Lily gave thumbs up.

Junko delighted, "Not even broken bridges and obstacles can stop them!"

Thorns

"Oh, dear. Thorns!", exclaimed Ai.

Lily notices the shot when Maleficent was cackling, "Hey, I've seen that animation earlier. What's up with that?"

"I believe they've recycled that.", Yugiri pondered.

Junko intensified, "He's...gotta...slash...through..."

"He's so close and not so far now!", Sakura and Saki anticipate.

Tae cheered, "Graaagh!"

Maleficent turns into a dragon

"Oh my god...", Sakura and Saki shocked.

Yugiri feared, "What is that?"

"It's a dragon!", Lily says.

Junko distressed, "How is that even possible?"

"He has to slay it!", aspires Ai.

Tae's jaw dropped to this scene.

Phillip fights Maleficent

"I can't stand pain, it hurts me!", Saki tensed.

Sakura concurred, "Don't we all?"

"Dodge, Phillip! Dodge!", Lily frets.

Yugiri assisted, "Slay the dragon!", as they watch the battle between Phillip and the dragon Maleficent.

"We're all counting on you...", Ai and Junko said with a hint of anxiety.

Maleficent's death

Saki reacts when Phillip threw the Sword of Truth into Maleficent's chest, "HELL YEAH! He did it!", before remarking to the dragon in the film, "You must pay the penalty..."

"And there she goes.", Sakura happily stated, "That's a relief.", before she laid down for a bit as relief from the climax.

Yugiri and Lily both said in unison, "Down goes the dragon!"

"My, she certainly went out with a bang!", Ai and Junko nonplussed in unison.

Saki told when they saw Maleficent's remains with nothing but a dark shadow with the Sword of Truth stabbed on it before turning black, "Survival of the fittest, and besides, it's fun!"

Tae cheered when seeing this part.

Phillip kisses Aurora

"This is gonna be good.", Lily anticipated.

Yugiri smiled, "The curse is about to be lifted!"

"Indeed.", Saki said, before turning to see Sakura lying down in relief as she seemed to be sleeping, "As a matter of fact..."

That was when, simultaneously as Phillip leans down to kiss Aurora to break the curse, Saki does the same as she leaned in to kiss Sakura.

Ai, Junko, Lily, Yugiri and Tae were shocked to see them.

Saki leans back after the kiss as she sees Sakura open her eyes and sees her before she blushed.

"...Saki?", Sakura asked.

The blonde biker said, "Nothing.", dismissing it.

"Look! The curse has been broken!", Ai said.

Junko happily told her friends, "And Aurora has awakened!"

"Sweet victory!", Saki cheered.

Sakura said, "Uh, Saki?", curiously, "Did you...kiss me?"

Saki hesitated.

She then replied, "Well...kinda. But it was all in the acting. I've seen that part already and I was hoping to reenact it in some way. I'm sorry about that-"

That was when Sakura kissed Saki only for a few seconds before parting.

"Wha...?!", Saki and the others but Sakura were shocked by this.

Sakura blushed, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that!", nervously before saying to Saki, "Honestly, I liked how this movie seemed to influence you."

The blonde blushed up a storm before she shook it off.

"Everyone's a critic.", sarcastically says Saki, rolling her eyes before feeling proud for Phillip in the movie, "Didn't say he could do it, didn't you?"

The entire kingdom wakes up again/Aurora reunites with her parents

"Hooray! Everyone has waken up again! The day is saved!", Lily cheered.

Yugiri smiled, "Finally."

"And Aurora! She's now with her prince and has reunited with her parents!", Ai observes.

Junko then praised, "That day looks like it's getting better already!"

"You know what this calls for? A celebration!", Saki said as she started dancing to the fact they've seen the climax and ending, as she coerces Ai to join in as the two danced in a disco fashion for a few moments, Ai doing this reluctantly.

Tae tried to copy their moves but it seems to backfire.

Lily said, "Guys! The movie isn't over yet, it's not time to celebrate yet!"

"What else is there?", Saki asked.

Yugiri tells them, "The two are finally dancing..."

"You know what bothers me? Both Aurora and Phillip have never said anything for the last 20 to 30 minutes of the movie!", Saki stressed out.

Sakura said in response, "Well, it does contradict that Ariel said nothing in the last five minutes of The Little Mermaid..."

"Yeah, and it wasn't like her voice wasn't given away at the end of that one!", the Dorami rebel said.

The redhead reasoned, "Yeah, but-"

"You wanna die?", Saki intensely stated, which made Sakura nervous, "Nah, I'm just kidding with you. But I still can't get over the fact on how Disney characters tend to have no dialogue scenes near the end in some movies..."

Ai and Junko told, "There's no reason to hate Disney movies like that, Saki."

"And once again, they all lived happily ever after!", Lily finished for Yugiri.

Yugiri smiled for Lily, "Nicely done. Could've done it any better myself.", as the film ends with the storybook closing after Aurora and Phillip had danced on an array of pink clouds.

Saki asked, "So, what do you guys think about it? I think it was romantic yet awesome!"

"For me, it was one of the best classical Disney movies before the Disney Renaissance age which had The Little Mermaid in it.", Sakura shared her opinion.

Ai gave her outlook, "Same. It was light here, dark there, and magical everywhere... This movie was great!"

"The music was the best thing in this movie. The rest were still good.", Junko agreed.

Yugiri told, "I liked how the animation and cinematography looked very cinematic. I can only imagine how it would've been like when it first came out."

"Also love how this is like a bedtime story come to life!", imagined Lily.

Tae sounded, "Urrhw grww!", as a signification of admiration for the film.

That was when Saki pulled out her phone as she started to dial someone.

"Saki? What are you doing?", Sakura said.

Saki explained, "If it's not a bother, I'm inviting someone over."

"EEEEEEHHHHH?!", the others appalled.

Ai asked, "Okay, who is it?"

"It's our Dorami friend Maria Amabuki.", the blonde biker revealed, "Why?"

Junko warned, "Because we shouldn't be looking like zombies in front of her! We need to get our makeup on so she won't find out about this! Kotaro can help!"

"Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too.", Saki said.

Yugiri asked, "Why is she coming over?"

"Because we're gonna watch yet another Disney flick. This time, I was thinking of putting one on that I've actually never seen before.", the Dorami rebel suggests.

Lily questioned, "Are you sure she's okay with it?"

"Yeah, I'm friends with Reiko, remember? She's Maria's mother?", Saki reminded.

Sakura responds, "Oh, yes. We remember. Your friend that you hung out with. I think it would be great for her to come over and I'm sure Kotaro might allow that, but we need to hurry and get our makeup on so she doesn't know!"

"Got it.", Saki nods, "By the way, we're watching Home on the Range."

Lily wondered, "I think I heard that movie before, but I never saw it..."

"Come on, girls. Let's get ready to make-up!", snickered Sakura as the seven of them went off to get ready for Maria's visit.
