AN: Enjoy!
Wanda remembered how much she'd loved the sound of Vision's laughter, now that he was with her again.
Vision had never really laughed much in the early days of his life, spent settling into the new Avengers compound. Most of the synthezoid's teammates would have characterised him as the quiet, serious type, and that was mostly true. Back then, Wanda had been the only one privy to the sound of Vision's laughter. Grew to love the warm, soft sound of his chuckles as the two of them watched sitcoms together. Drew comfort from them, when she had believed nothing would ever comfort her again.
So, it had hurt Wanda, when she first reunited with him after the disaster of the Accords, to discover that Vision had stopped laughing, and hurt her more to know that it was at least partially her fault, even though he told her it wasn't.
"How can I laugh" Vision said, "When the Avengers are so broken? How can I laugh, when my actions robbed a friend of the use of his legs?"
And so he hadn't laughed, for a while. Until, during one visit, one that had happened to fall on Wanda's Birthday, Vision had decided to try and bake Wanda a cake. And Wanda, who had found herself feeling cheeky that day, had thrown flour in his face. For a moment, Vision had been stunned. Eventually, however, he had thrown flour at Wanda in retaliation, leaving both of their faces almost entirely white.. and then, he had laughed.
Not the soft, warm chuckle that Wanda had grown used to, but a full, loud, belly laugh that she quickly grew to love just as much. And soon Wanda had begun laughing with him, and they had laughed together, for they didn't even know how long.
And not so long after that, when Wanda and Vision had become intimate, she had discovered how to make him not just laugh, but giggle. How? Well, Wanda realised that her synthezoid soulmate was ticklish, along a few of the lines where the vibranium met his synthetic flesh. Vision hadn't liked this much at first, until she assured him that sex didn't always have to be serious. Sex could be fun, in fact, it should be fun.
Wanda tried not to regret telling him this when Vision eventually discovered her own ticklish spots, some of which she'd never even known she had.
Neither of them laughed, in the days after Westview, when Vision had first found her again, his body still devoid of all colour, and much of the light gone from Wanda's eyes.
Vision had been afraid of what he was now, of what he had almost done, of what he could still do.
Wanda, along with the pain of losing her family, had nursed similar fears. Fears of what it really meant to be the Scarlet Witch.
They had both been broken, for a while, both been lost, but slowly they had picked up the pieces, and found a way back to each other.
Even after Wanda had allowed Vision back into her heart, they hadn't really laughed. Until, one day, they had decided to crack open the DVD box sets Vision had bought Wanda for her Birthday, watched a random episode of Malcolm In The Middle. Except, as it turned out, it wasn't so random. It was the same episode they had been watching the day when, shortly after Pietro's death, Vision had entered Wanda's room, and they had had their memorable conversation about grief.
And for the first time since his resurrection, Vision laughed, a soft warm chuckle that soon became a loud belly laugh, and Wanda began laughing with him, joyful, riotous laughter, and for a moment, they remembered what it was like to be happy.
Then, they had been blessed with their twins, Wanda's beautiful boys choosing her again.
A baby's laughter, as it turned out, was one of Wanda's favourite sounds. She hadn't known this before, as her boys had bypassed that stage the first time around, but now she definitely did.
She loved the way their little faces lit up, eyes sparkling, as the sound of joy bubbled from their little mouths. She would tickle Billy's belly, or Tommy's tiny toes, just to hear the wonderful sound. She wouldn't be mad when Tommy splashed in the bath, because it would lead to both of the twins laughing.
Vision loved making the boys laugh too, loved hearing the giggles bubble from their little mouths. Currently, he was laying on his stomach on the floor, the twins doing the same from a nearby rug, playing peek-a-boo with them, a large smile on his own face when he heard them laugh.
Wanda watched them for a moment, her heart full, before she made her presence known.
"Hello, my three favourite boys" she smiled. "What are you all up to?"
"Hello, my love" Vision smiled up at her. "We are just playing a little game while Tommy and Billy have their tummy time.
"Sounds fun.." Wanda moved to lay down with them. "Can Mommy join in?"
"Of course.."
And for the next few minutes, the little family laughed together, perfectly content.
